Template:Organization infobox Clan Naga Sadow is the body of Sons, Daughters and Disciples who serve Astronicus Aurelius Sadow, the heir of the Sadow dynasty and Overlord of the Clan. The Clan was formally established in 15 ABY, formed from Tron’s own house of followers in union with the surviving cults of Marka Ragnos and Ludo Kressh. It operates under the cover of the Dlarit Corporation. In recent years the Clan has also adopted the teachings of Urias Orian in addition to its three namesakes.

Brief history

The Clan began when Astronicus Dlarit was visited by a ghost who inspired him to gather rogue Dark Jedi to his banner. Tron did this, bringing together a ragtag group from various backgrounds at his home on Sif, of which he was then the governor. The spirit then revealed itself to be Naga Sadow and Tron sought out the lost tribes of Ludo Kressh and Marka Ragnos, together forming the Clan.

For a time the Clan operated peacefully under the guise of the Dlarit Corporation until the betrayal of the Imperial Remnant and the ensuing Exodus. Led by the visions of Urias Orian as discerned by Trevarus Caerick through his Amulet, the Clan relocated to the lost Orian system and adopted many of the forgotten teachings found there. The Clan and Corporation then prospered for several years until the invasion of the galaxy by the Yuuzhan Vong and the five years of warfare that followed.

The Yuuzhan Vong War took its toll and the Clan lost much, not just journeymen but even among its greatest elders; some fell in battle, but many more were lost in spirit. During the war Orian became something of a haven for refugees and its cities bulged at the walls to support them, but they helped maintain the armed forces in the face of the many threats the system faced over the years. Even with the Vong Empire defeated, the Orian Sector remains a particularly dangerous location.

As the Clan looks to the future it works to strengthen itself should anything like the Yuuzhan Vong War happen again. To this end the recruit-based Dlarit Security Force is slowly being replaced with a loyal clone army in the form of the Special Operations Group. Having weathered the Vong, the Clan now believes it can survive anything and has returned to working towards the reestablishment of the true Sith Empire, as led by the Sadow dynasty as the heirs to the last true emperor.

The Clan

Sadow dynasty

The Sadow dynasty is the direct line of descendents from Naga Sadow, who is seen by them to have been the last true Dark Lord and Emperor of the Sith Empire. The Clan is built upon Naga Sadow’s vision of the reestablishment of a monarchic empire led by his descendants. The dynasty has sworn allegiance to the Star Chamber’s Brotherhood not so much out of genuine fealty but a mutual self-interest—the Brotherhood provides resources and in exchange the Clan lends its armies.

The Overlord

The Overlord of the Clan, Astronicus Aurelius Sadow, is prince of the Sadow dynasty and therefore heir apparent to the Imperial throne if and when the true Sith Empire is finally re-established. He is the true ruler of the Clan although he delegates much of its day-to-day running to his Consul. It is on his claims to be the true heir of Naga Sadow and of the vision the spirit of the Dark Lord allegedly relayed to him that the Clan was conceived and has subsequently been built around.

Sons of Sadow

The Sons of Sadow are the chosen disciples of the Overlord and are selected for their belief in his vision of a reformed Sith Empire – ruled not by the Lords of the Star Chamber but by the heirs of the Sadow dynasty. Though they hold no official powers the Sons have the ear of the Overlord and exist to ensure the Clan remains committed to his vision and are often the first to deal with those who dare to question it. The betrayal of a Son is one of the darkest days the Clan can face.

Sadow Council

The Sadow Council is the ruling body of the Clan and oversee the Clan on behalf of the Overlord. Members of the Council have been delegated the authority to govern most day-to-day affairs and generally speak on behalf of the Overlord, representing his interests at home and at Antei. The Council usually convenes once a month for a conclave on Sepros at Sadow Palace but emergency conclaves are often called during times of war and may or may not involve the entire Council.

The Consul

The Consul is chief amongst the Overlord’s followers and acts as his Voice in day-to-day affairs and represents his interests on the Dark Council. The Consul will also act as Regent if the Overlord is away for a prolonged period. Much of the Consul’s day-to-day work includes the running of the Clan’s corporate interests but he is also in charge of the Simus Institute at Sadow Palace on Sepros and oversees all training. In addition the Consul is usually the final authority in internal judicial matters unless they should earn the attention of the Dark Council’s own enforcers: the Hands of Justice.

Summits

The work of the Consul is supported by the Proconsul, Quaestors and Aediles who form the Summits and make up the bulk of the Council of Sadow. The Proconsul is the Consul’s direct deputy and aids him however he can. The Quaestors and Aediles are the leaders of the cults of Kressh and Ragnos and supervise the training of Dark Jedi in their respective houses, much the way the Consul does for the entire Clan at the Simus Institute. The main academy for disciples of Ragnos is located in Alabrek Castle at Kar Alabrek, while the training centre for those of Kressh is located in Marakith Skyhook above Seng Karash.

Inner Circle

The members of the Inner Circle are made up of those individuals who, although holding no official authority, have the ear of the Council of Sadow for one reason or another, and they are often invited to attend the conclaves at Sadow Palace to discuss Clan affairs.

Order of the Black Guard

The Order of the Black Guard is to the Summits what the Sons of Sadow are to the Overlord. The identities of the Black Guards are not always known and they are appointed by each member of the Summit to act as their eyes and ears, as well as their mouth and fist. The Black Guard are unanimous with black ops and it is not unheard of for one to be caught in the centre of a scandal involving the other Clans. That is but part of the life of a Black Guard and those who receive the tattoo accept it is their duty to fall on their sword should they fail their mission. Back home, the Black Guard operates outside the ordinary chain of command to uphold the will of the Council of Sadow.

Inner Order

These elders of the Clan may come from different walks of life but have all earned the ear of the Council in their own particular way: maybe because their power simply commands it or perhaps because their loyalty and service have gone above and beyond what has been asked of them. The Inner Order is much less an official body as it is an example of the Rule of the Strong in practice whereby the strong shall prosper and the weak who cannot keep up are left behind to fall.

The Houses

The Houses make up most of the Overlord’s followers. As the only surviving follower of Naga Sadow, Astronicus Sadow was forced to search out and rally whoever he could find, eventually drawing the Disciples of Kressh and Ragnos to his banner. Though both Houses have their own backgrounds, as members of the Clan they are today all Disciples of Sadow and the foundations of the reborn empire.

Originally the Overlord’s own students formed a third house but their numbers were always small and in the fateful Battle of Darkened Hearts many gave their lives so that the Disciples of Sadow would survive the Exodus. Decimated by the Exodus, the House never recovered and was eventually destroyed during the war on Antei against the plague released by the lingering essence of Okemi.

Disciples of Kressh

Led by Naga Sadow’s ghost, on Rhelg, the former homeworld of Sadow’s rival, Astronicus found the lost tribe of Ludo Kressh who had survived the destruction of the Sith Empire. Led by Eagleye, the Disciples of Kressh agreed to join Astronicus and they returned with him to Ullyr in the Phare system. Though Ludo Kressh is seen as the Betrayer in the eyes of the Disciples of Sadow, the two groups agreed to put the past behind them and work together out of their shared desire to see the Sith Empire resurrected. However, Kressh’s legacy is a constant reminder to the Clan of the need to be vigilant and on the lookout for treachery. It was a dark day when Xanos Zorrixor, the House’s overlord, followed in the footsteps of their namesake by betraying the Disciples of Sadow.

Disciples of Ragnos

The Disciples of Ragnos were formed from a small cult of survivors of the Sith Empire who drifted around the Galaxy before finally settling on Karana III. When Astronicus Sadow began rallying Dark Jedi to his banner seeking to restart the Sith Empire, Ximeno led the Disciples of Ragnos to Loki in the Phare system and swore allegiance to the Sadow dynasty. Today House Marka Ragnos look after much of the old world, overseeing the Great Sadow Library which was first located on Loki but has since been relocated book for book to Tarthos following the Exodus. The House has the closest connection to the legacy of Urias Orian, as interpreted by Trevarus Caerick, their overlord, who rose to be seen as something of a holy figure among the Disciples of Ragnos for his prophetic insight.

Locations

The Clan lurks in the shadow of the Dlarit Corporation to limit its public exposure so much training takes place in less specialised locations to ensure Clansmen grow used to their public face as officers of the Corporation’s military arm. As with the Sith Lords during the days of the Rule of Two, the Clan does not wish to be discovered until the time is right. Nevertheless, a small number of facilities are spread throughout the Orian system housing the Clan’s dedicated training academies and archives.

Sadow Palace

Built upon the ruins of the Temple of Sorrow, one of a network of seven structures constructed by Urias Orian, the current day Sadow Palace took the place of the original which was abandoned in the Exodus. Though the original ruins were largely hidden beneath the surrounding forest canopy, the modern palace has been fortified and rebuilt, today extending well into the skyline. The seat of power of the Overlord, Sadow Palace houses not just the royal quarters and throne room, but a network of modern facilities that allow the Consul and his Summits to manage not only the Clan but the Corporation and the fleet as well.

Simus Institute

The Yuuzhan Vong War proved not only that many Clansmen were ill equipped to fight the threats of the modern age but also that belief in the Overlord’s vision was waning. Based inside Sadow Palace, the Simus Institute – named in honour of Naga Sadow’s own mentor, Lord Simus – was established following the Fall of Antei to address these problems and is the main Sith Academy in the Orian system. It is here most instruction in the Sith arts takes place, away from the prying eyes of the ordinary populace. The Institute also serves a darker purpose: as the Clan’s envoys scour the Galaxy searching for young Force-sensitives to bring back, the Institute serves to indoctrinate these fresh recruits into the beliefs of the Clan and acceptance of the Overlord’s vision of a new Sith Empire. In time, the Overlord secretly hopes to replace the lost tribes he originally rallied under his banner with a new generation of fanatically loyal disciples who have been indoctrinated in his vision from birth.

Sadow Archives

The Sadow Archives are located deep beneath Sadow Palace in the original underground catacombs of the Temple of Sorrow. Closely guarded and divided into multiple levels, the deepest restricted to all but the highest echelons of the Clan, the Sadow Archives are almost universally renowned as one of the most extensive collections of lore and artifacts outside the Shadow Academy itself. It is not uncommon for individuals from the other Clans to journey across the Galaxy and petition to study a particular tome or holocron. The Archives have built up over many years but initially began as the collection of artifacts the Overlord collected during his sojourn through the old Sith Empire. They house many original copies such as the Chronicle of Dark Souls and the Holocron of Tulak Hord, having been expanded thanks to the work of those such as Trevarus Caerick, Xanos Zorrixor, Muz Ashen and Macron Goura. For many years Jonuss Rai has served as the Keeper of the Archives.

Marakith Skyhook

Construction of Marakith was ordered by Xanos Zorrixor in 23 ABY after he foresaw the coming of the Yuuzhan Vong. The project was overseen by Malisane de Ath and completed in early 26 ABY. It was designed to serve as an orbital battle station should the system fall under attack. Bristling with firepower, Marakith is chiefly a military fortress, manned exclusively by clones from the Special Ops Division. In public it houses the offices of the Governor of Aeotheran and his staff. However, its modernity masks its second role as the headquarters of the Disciples of Kressh and a number of specially adapted dark side training complexes are spread throughout the skyhook’s superstructure.

Mobile fortress

Known to few but the highest echelons of the Clan, Marakith has been designed to serve as a fully mobile secondary base of operations should Orian ever fall to invasion and it is equipped with an operational hyperdrive should, in an emergency, the Clan ever need to evacuate at short notice. There is sufficient room to support both Houses for an extended period of time. Though the main HoloNet relay is based in Kar Alabrek, Marakith incorporates its own hyperwave transceiver in addition to communication facilities to enable the Overlord and the Summits to be able to continue to coordinate the fleets in times of war.

Alabrek Castle

Alabrek Castle was built millennia ago during the days of Urias Orian. When the Exodus was first being planned, the advance construction teams operated out of Alabrek when clearing the forests of Aeotheran to develop Seng Karash. After the Exodus, the garrison town of Kar Alabrek sprung up around the Castle to house the Dlarit Security Force. The Disciples of Ragnos re-established their Cathedral in one of the wings of the Castle as well as the Great Sadow Library which they serve as the chroniclers of. As the Clan’s military headquarters, the Castle has had to weather several attacks. The worst assault in 29 ABY saw the destruction of the Ragnos Cathedral. Instead of rebuilding the Cathedral, the Ragnos Memorial was erected in honour of the dead, and the House moved into the remaining wings of the Castle.

Great Sadow Library

After the main Sadow Archives in Sadow Palace, the Great Sadow Library constitutes the second half of the Clan’s collection of Sith lore. The Great Library contains several hundred thousand books and has been stored in Alabrek Castle since before the Exodus, having been one of the first things Trevarus Caerick ordered shipped to Orian. Regarded as one of the Clan’s foremost treasures, it is no accident that the library is located in one of the most heavily fortified buildings in the system. The library contains copies of most of the works stored in the Shadow Academy and original copies of several other tomes. Though most holocrons are stored in the main Archives, a number of the less restricted ones are kept in the Great Library. During the Invasion of Orian of 27 ABY|27 ABY the Great Library was the real target of the True Brotherhood, and in the Battle of Inos in 29 ABY much of the Castle owed its survival to the reinforced shielding around the wing of the building that houses the library.

Dlarit Corporation

The Dlarit Corporation is the public front organisation of the Clan and is what any Galactic Alliance official or ordinary visitor to the Orian system would encounter. The Corporate is a conglomerate made up of several subsidiaries but its main activities include mining and shipping. It formed out of the Xucphra bacta producing corporation after Thyferra joined the New Republic and Astronicus Dlarit left to join the Empire, withdrawing his shareholdings to form the Dlarit Corporation.

Today the Corporation primarily operates out of the Orian system. It also has officials throughout the Galaxy who source potential employees and maintains a strong presence in the Corporate Sector where a front organisation – Kaldex Transport Inc. – was set up with laundered Imperial funds to commission the new Dlarit Navy after the Exodus.

Government and politics

Directorate

The Dlarit Corporation is owned by Astronicus Dlarit who chairs the directorate as viceroy. After the viceroy, the senior official is the governor-general of Orian who is the de facto chief executive of the Corporation’s day-to-day management and who is assisted by his deputy governor-general. They in turn are assisted by a number of governors, lieutenant governors and military prefects who oversee particular worlds and important Corporation assets. The prefects often act as temporary governors during hot spots on civilian colonies such as the sky city at Amphor.

Though unaffiliated with the central Alliance, the Corporation maintains a senate representative to cover its account trail and ensure its more questionable and black market activities remain hidden.

Civilian management

In addition to the senior management the individual subsidiaries have their own civilian presidents and associated support staff. The Corporation also maintains a civilian police force to police the mining colonies and spaceports, as well as a limited civilian representative structure. However, as a commercial entity the Dlarit Corporation has no formal political structure and is ultimately led by the will of the senior directorate—which means for profit and/or the interests of the Clan.

Martial law

In the years since the outbreak of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion the Corporation has grown increasingly militarised and where before the civilian police were left to maintain order, after the large influx of refugees during the war the number of military prefects has increased and martial law has become more common. The role of the military has also become more central and the sight of special ops units on the streets has become something of a daily occurrence compared to a few years ago.

Economy

Though the Dlarit Corporation was funded from the proceeds of a bacta corporation it has little in common with the Xucphra Corporation today. Its primary activity is mining and a number of mines have been set up throughout the Orian system to bankroll the interests of the senior directorate. In addition to ordinary minerals, the Corporation’s primary exports come from the mines on Aeotheran which contain a healthy supply of azurite. The planet also produces ionite in small quantities which is sold to military buyers for a sizable profit. The second main source of income comes from the mining of tibanna gas from the lower atmosphere of Amphor.

The Corporation engages in a modest amount of shipping for those buyers who prefer their orders to be shipped direct rather than sending their own convoys to collect. This understandably poses a risk and the Dlarit Security Force polices the Orian Pipeline to keep the lanes to and from the main Hydian Way safe. During the years of the Yuuzhan Vong War the Corporation was somewhat isolated from much of the Galaxy, so was forced to survive on more local orders from the Corporate Sector.

In addition to the Corporation’s legitimate practices it engages in a number of shadier dealings. In the year running up to the Exodus a number of funds were laundered out of Imperial coffers into a dummy corporation named Kaldex Transport Inc. to fund the construction of the Dlarit Navy. Also, after the discovery of a baradiumdeposit on Sepros the native populace was conscripted into the mines as slaves to source supplies for an illegal trade in the highly volatile explosive on the black market which helped fund the Corporation during the slow trade of the Yuuzhan Vong War.

Society and culture

Civilian population

The Dlarit Corporation is chiefly a profit driven business and its cultural atmosphere reflects that. Having only been founded by Astronicus Dlarit a few decades ago, the Corporation is still mostly made up of first generation immigrants who came to the Phare system (or more recently the Orian system) seeking employment. The Corporation does what it can to support employee’s families but job opportunities for wives and children have only opened up as the main mining cities have grown.

More recently, during the years of the Yuuzhan Vong War, the Orian system has been forced to play home to thousands of refugees who fled when their worlds in the Rims were invaded. Though some are slowly returning home as their worlds are rebuilt, many from the poor Outer Rim planets that the Galactic Alliance cannot afford to help have been left homeless. However, the Corporation is a commercial organisation and cannot support people who do not work. As such, a polarisation has developed between the employees who are classed as citizens of the Orian system, while refugees who are unable to work are treated by many as unwelcome and regarded as freeloaders.

For those who are genuine employees of the Corporation life in the inner districts of Seng Karash or the upper city of San Korinar enjoy a secure and comfortable life. However, life in the designated refugee areas is much harder and there is a strong element of the survival of the fittest. Though the Dlarit Police run a tight ship in the employee districts, refugees have been left to run riot and crime is rife outside the main city walls of Seng Karash and in the lower levels of San Korinar. Without a personal ship, passage off world is available only via commercial transport at the main spaceport in Seng Karash, but for many refugees stranded in Orian they cannot afford to leave unless they first take a job with the Corporation and save up enough to afford a ticket back to Alliance Space.

Military population

Back in the Phare system the Dlarit Corporation did not have any armed forces of its own but instead relied on the Imperial Remnant for security. After the relocation to Orian, the Corporation had to create its own Security Force. The DSF was made up of recruits from among the ordinary employee population and a garrison town, Kar Alabrek, was set up away from the mining cities on Tarthos. To boost recruit rates – and discourage awkward questions – Kar Alabrek was designed to appeal to the employees working long shifts in the mines more than Seng Karash, and security personnel were provided with greatly superior accommodation and rates of pay.

Cracks emerged in the DSF during the Fall of Antei when the Clan were forced to show their true colours to survive the Yuuzhan Vong attack. More than half of the men who went to Antei died during the battle, and afterwards many more were either sent to Gamuslag or executed to protect the Corporation’s true identity, leaving a large hole in the DSF. To avoid these problems in the future, the Dlarit Special Operations Group was created. Formed from the veterans of the Fall of Antei together with clones created with cloning cylinders obtained the previous year, DSOG became the first openly Clan-affiliated task force in the Corporation.

In the wake of the Yuuzhan Vong War, the role of the Corporation’s armed forces has increased dramatically. Members of both the regular security force and special operations units are today a daily sight in the streets not only of Kar Alabrek but throughout Orian’s colonies. Martial law is has been enforced in some regions to stamp out civil unrest between employees and the refugee population. Special ops units have become ubiquitous with unexplained disappearances and a culture of fear has been up among both the civilian and DSF populations regarding what truly goes on at the rumoured Cenota Facility. Despite the slight unease, the clone troopers’ presence is largely welcomed by most employees in light of the work DSOG has done to keep Orian safe during the war.

Military

The Dlarit Corporation’s armed forces are split into two main divisions: the Dlarit Security Force (or DSF) and the Dlarit Special Operations Group (or DSOG). The DSF is primarily charged with homeland security and the defence of the Orian system itself, along with maintaining law and order across the system’s colonies. DSOG is the only element of the Corporation to know the true identities of the Corporation’s owners. For this reason, DSOG fills a much wider role, performing whatever tasks and black ops assignments the Clan requires of it.

Dlarit Security Force

The Dlarit Security Force is comprised of several subdivisions that perform various duties throughout the Orian system. All recruits either come from the employee population or from recruitment offices across the Galaxy. In addition to several loyal ex-Imperials from back in the Phare system, the Dlarit Corporation also recruits from the ranks of the Security Division of the nearby Corporate Sector.

Dlarit Navy

The main subdivision of the DSF is the Dlarit Navy which consists of the bulk of the Corporation’s naval forces. The navy is charged with the defence of the Orian system itself and polices the surrounding spacelanes such as the Orian Pipeline to and from the nearby Hydian Way. The navy is led by the fleet commander who reports direct to the directorate.

Dlarit Police

The Dlarit Police is the force that maintains law and order throughout the Orian system’s civilian colonies, such as at Seng Karash or on San Korinar. Most of the police force are recruited direct from the civilian employee population and is largely made up of those with families who did not want to enlist in the main Dlarit Army. The police commissioner reports directly to the senior directorate.

Dlarit Army

In recent years the role of the Dlarit Army has diminished since the establishment of the Dlarit Special Operations Group but it still serves a number of functions throughout Orian. The army is in charge of the defence of most military sites, such as Kar Alabrek, Onyx, and parts of the Cenota and Dentavii Facilities, as well as some high security civilian areas such as the main spaceport or those hot spots that have been placed under martial law such as parts of San Korinar. The Dlarit Marine and Starfighter Corps also form part of the army and help support the main fleet of the Dlarit Navy.

Dlarit Special Operations Group

In the wake of the Fall of Antei the Corporation realised it needed a more dynamic fighting force to support it during times of war and that was aware of its true nature. The Dlarit Special Operations Group was the answer and is made up of the Chiss colonists who moved to Orian from Phare, the veterans of the Fall of Antei who accepted their masters’ true identities, and – primarily – clones grown using the Spaarti cloning cylinders recovered by the Clan in late 26 ABY. DSOG is directly led by the commanding general of the Corporation's armed forces, who also indirectly oversees the DSF.

Unlike the complex structure of the DSF, DSOG was designed to be able to go where it needed and take what forces it required to get the job done. The only unit with a permanent assignment is the Kangaras Division which patrols the spacelanes deeper into the worlds of the old Sith Empire. The main Special Operations Division, however, was created with the intention of being able to operate outside the red tape of the main Dlarit Security Force and beneath the notice of other governments.

The Corporation’s – or rather the Clan’s – goal is to replace the entire DSF with unquestioningly loyal clones like the DSOG. This project is long term, however. The current rate of clone production is limited to a few thousand every year which only just covers the numbers lost in combat, so it will be some time before the Clan can ever fully replace its entire military without further cloning facilities.

Astrography

Clan Naga Sadow is today located in the Orian system although it started off in the Phare System. The system is located on the outskirts of the old Sith Empire, a former homeworld of the Sith Lord Urias Orian, roughly halfway between the Antei Sector and the Corporate Sector. Orian has seven primary worlds and a diverse range of life. It contains two stars, Orian Major being the primary and Orian Minor a smaller star in orbit of the first, the two stars cause most of the planets in the system to experience unusual climate patterns.

The Twins

The innermost worlds, Nuvenpa and Ulatyu, share the same orbit and circle one another like twin moons. Due to their close proximity to Orian Major they are virtually uninhabitable.

Aeotheran and Sepros

The third and fifth planets are the two most inhabited planets. Aeotheran is the perfect distance from Orian Major to sustain life and is completely covered in jungle. Sepros is similar but experiences more varied weather patterns, being further from Orian Major it is forced to draw some of its heat from Orian Minor. Like Aeotheran, Sepros is covered in jungle, the lower degree of sunlight meaning its trees have evolved to reach higher into the sky, making the undergrowth a darker and much harsher place on Sepros than Aeotheran. The Dlarit Corporation has established its main colony on Aeotheran, the mining city of Seng Karash together with the Marakith Skyhook which together have a combined population of around 200,000.

By all official accounts Sepros remains uninhabited however in 26 ABY the Dlarit Corporation completed work on the construction of a baradium mining facility hidden beneath the jungle canopy. The facility is staffed exclusively by Dlarit Security Force officers and run largely by local slaves. The structure above the baradium mine serves as the private headquarters for the Clan.

Amphor

Between Aeotheran and Sepros sits Amphor, a gas giant, neither close enough to Orian Major or Orian Minor to maintain a solid state. The Dlarit Corporation has established a number of small scale mining operations on several of Amphor's moons including Amphor Six as well as a tibana gas harvesting facility in the planet's main orbit. The Wreck of the Miner's Brother, as well as Amphor Colony can be found here. Few of these facilities have any residential accomodation, however, with most of the miners shuttling between Amphor and Seng Karash between shifts.

The Dentavii Belt

Dentavii Prime was once the sixth planet in the Orian system. Today it is an asteroid field, torn apart by the twisted alchemy and dark powers of the system's former ruler, Urias Orian. The Dlarit Navy has established a small covert base of operations in one of the larger asteroids to act as a refuelling depot and a staging post for attacks.

Tarthos

Tarthos is now the sixth planet in the system however it orbits Orian Major indirectly, orbiting Orian Minor like a moon. This has given rise to drastic weather patterns on Tarthos, ranging from uncomfortably hot when exposed to the primary star, to frigid when shielded and left to survive only on the lesser heat of Orian Minor. Indigenous life died out on Tarthos millenia ago with only a few animals and plants surviving. Tarthos is the main base of the Dlarit Security Force and home to its main barracks and training faciltiies.

Inos

Inos is the outermost planet of the Orian system, orbiting far from the reach of both Orian Major and Minor. It is essentially little more than a frozen ball caught in Orian Major's gravity well. Though no longer inhabited, neither by the Clan nor even the Dlarit Corporation, in ancient times it was used as a burial world by Urias Orian for his most promising warriors.

Allies and Enemies

Allies

The Clan currently has no formal allies.

  • None

Neutral

Those Clans considered neutral neither recieve allied benefits nor the prejudice of those listed as enemies. By large, neutral Clans are regarded with indifference, however, unlike allied Clans, Naga Sadow will not object to espionage against those listed as neutral where the Clan deems it appropriate.

  • Clan Arcona - One time allies, relations with Arcona broke down during the Fifth Great Jedi War when they accused Naga Sadow of illegal espionage. Though the incident was later proved to have been faked by Clan Taldryan, close relations have never recovered.
  • Clan Scholae Palatinae - One time allies, relations with Scholae Palatinae broke down after the alliance with Tarentum was renewed a year or so before the Sixth Great Jedi War.
  • Clan Tarentum - One time allies and part of the former Tripartite Alliance together with Arcona, relations with Tarentum broke down during the Fifth Great Jedi War when the Clans found themselves on opposite sides. Relations were briefly re-established again but further broke down due to similar circumstances in the Sixth Great Jedi War.

Enemies

Rival Clans are often the subject of espionage attempts and regular infiltration. Unlike neutral Clans, Naga Sadow makes no attempt to hide its dislike of its enemies and frequently strives to undo their works.

  • Clan Plagueis - While the Clan has no direct issues with Plagueis, its rivalry with the former Clan Exar Kun has extended to the now House Exar Kun. Heirs to a rival Sith Lord, the Clan disputes Exar Kun's claim as the "true heirs" to the Sith Empire, considering it an afront to their own beliefs.
  • Clan Taldryan - Long term rivals since inception, Taldryan has long been seen as the principle rival of Naga Sadow.

Typical Clan Actions/Reactions

Clan Naga Sadow is a deeply close-knit community. The Sons and Daughters of Sadow may mark out the chosen but it is a term often used to address the Clan as a whole, for they are all the Overlord's children, his followers and apprentices. This sense of family and brotherhood runs deep in the Clan and for its true members stands above all other ties. Consequential of this is that Clan Naga Sadow is deeply protective of its own, where one is threatened the Clan as a whole will take offence. Strongly protective of their honor and their belief in themselves as the true heirs to the Sith Empire, the Sons and Daughters of Sadow will stand firmly against any threat and stick by their beliefs. This was demonstrated in the Exodus when virtually none stayed behind with the Empire. Within themselves the Clan can be very different, forcing responsibility and accountability on its own, maintaining a strong sense of duty. It feels little remorse for those left behind, too weak to keep up, but it will stand against any challenge from an outsider.
