Old Sadow Palace was the home and ruling seat of Clan Naga Sadow. Located on the planet Sif in the Phare system, Sadow Palace was where the Overlord and his Consul ruled the clan from. It formerly belonged to Astronicus Dlarit in his capacity as the Governor of Sif.

Today the clan is based in New Sadow Palace on Sepros.

Origination

While the brotherhood was still allied with the Imperial Remnant the planetary governorship of Sif was placed under the rule of an Imperial officer by the name of Astronicus Dlarit. As planetary governor, Astronicus was granted a mansion of his own choosing. Upon discovering an old monastery built by the B'omarr Monks, Astronicus decided to renovate the structure.

It was not long into his tenure as governor that Astronicus became envious of colleagues in the brotherhood and gave into his insatiable desires for power. In 14 ABY he created House Naga Sadow and based it on Sif, using his governor's mansion as a headquarters. Soon it was no longer known as the governor's mansion but as Sadow Palace.

This structure would serve as home to Clan Naga Sadow until the Exodus. At that time all was thought lost as the clan fled the Phare System.

Exodus

Sadow Palace on Sif.

During the Exodus the clan rigged their facilities within the Phare system for destruction. Sadow Palace was not exempt. However, as the clan gathered there and began preparations for their evacuation, the Overlord informed them he would stay behind and defend the palace as long as he could to help ensure their escape.

Unfortunately, a bloody battle ensued in orbit above Sif as the members of the clan attempted to enter hyperspace. An interdictor cruiser had arrived from the Emperor's Hammer fleet and was preventing them from leaving.

Meditating in the Grand Audience Chamber of Sadow Palace on Sif, Astronicus ordered his guards who had stayed behind to activate the palace. None had ever seen or heard before of the capabilities of Sadow Palace witness in the events that happened next. The palace began to lift out of the ground and rise into the sky. As earth and rubble fell from below and around the palace, the structure of a partially constructed Victory-class Star Destroyer became visible.

Unsure if he would ever be forced to display his clan's might in defiance of the Empire, Astronicus had the Star Destroyer constructed beneath the palace secretly by the native inhabitants of Sif. Astronicus had only ever revealed this secret to two members of the Brotherhood: Raistlin Majerus and Robert Daragon. The construction had begun shortly after Lord Zoraan's tirade of rebellion.

Sadow Palace exited the atmosphere and began to engage the interdictor. The battle was costly, for the battleship portion of the palace was unfinished and not as well armed as a Star Destroyer. Yet, in the end, Sadow Palace was victorious as it disabled the gravity well generators. The rest of the clan, as well as Sadow Palace, entered hyperspace and escaped.

Orian System

The clan arrived in the Orian system and began to settle as they laid claim to its planets. Unfortunately, the makeshift Star Destroyer was ravaged beyond repair and left adrift with Sadow Palace attached to its bridge tower. It now lays in orbit around Inos, the eighth planet in the Orian System.

Clan Naga Sadow needed a new home in which to operate out of with the loss of Sadow Palace. Having established Sepros as the planet to house their new headquarters, a scout party was sent out to survey the land searching for any former structures that might be used. Once the throne world of Sith Lord Urias Orian, the clan was hopefull that they would find something.

The Palace of Orian had been destroyed some years before in a battle between Kiln Tobasa and Trevarus Caerick, but seven temples aligned in a circle around the former palace remained standing.

The New Sadow Palace was established within one of the temples.
