House Plagueis is one of the Dark Brotherhood's seven Houses. Forged from the ashes of Clan Exar Kun and Clan Exar Kun, Clan Plagueis found itself crumbling under the strain of holding two such halves together before Darth Ashen's decree in 33 ABY that saw all Clans reformed into Houses. Since then, the House has fought its way forward with one ideal in mind: Victory through Ascension.

Brief History

After the Rite of Supremacy in 32 ABY, Lord Ashen's reform saw the Great Clans of the Brotherhood reduced to Houses. Plagueis faced a tenuous future; its first Quaestor, Alaris Jinn di Plagia, had barely managed to maintain order following the debacle at Salas V. Following the unrest in the Summits of Houses Satal Keto and Exar Kun, the former Clan had been forced into many withdrawals and retreats and had been made to leave Salas V before the conflict had even ended.

During the following months, his former Proconsul, Vivackus Kavon di Plagia, had become the Aedile and had seen his opportunity to begin seeking the throne. Kal di Plagia Vorrac, formerly the Quaestor of Satal Keto and one of Jinn's greatest advisors, also took steps at this time to consolidate the system's Stratocracy and military forces as his loyal followers. Before an assassination attempt by either of the Sith could end his life and weaken the House further, Jinn made the wise decision and willingly left power. As Kavon moved to take power, he found himself double-crossed; his former Master, Kal, had arrayed the full power of the system against him. Vivackus had no hope of reclaiming their support or matching the promises of power that Vorrac had offered them; thus, once again, he became the Aedile of Plagueis.

It was not long into his tenure that Kal made good on his promises, reorganizing the Jusadih Military Regime and implementing systems and policies that allowed the capable and determined to ascend to positions of power. His loyal Dark Jedi followers, who had learned the hard way not to double-cross the brilliant manipulator, found entire capital ships or military divisions at their beck and call; stubborn rebel cells and criminal elements fell away from the unified might of Plagueis. It was but one of many sweeping alterations to the House's structure made possible by simplified Leadership, which included the House's new motto: Adapt, Ascend, Avail. The House became active and strong; it was fortuitous that they did, for the forces of Plagueis would soon face the Disorder and begin striking at one another in the name of their Orders.

Following this time of conflict, which Kal used to eliminate several of his final remaining opponents, the Sith's iron fist and brilliant planning again drew Plagueis together under a common banner. Rather than scolding them for infighting, he congratulated the survivors of the conflict; the strong had prevailed and the weak had been purged, as was now the way for the Ascendant House. Following this, Vivackus decided that his new duties as Combat Master]] were more vital than those in Plagueis and that his chances of success would be improved away from Vorrac's shadow; the Battlelord transferred to the Rogues, leaving Kal in sole command of the system.

Shortly after the Disorder, as Jusadih returned to security, the planet of Sigil 2 would become embroiled in the conflict that would be known as the Taking of Si'Tilk. The resulting engagement saw the traitorous Vong heretic, Sarak Shai, ally himself with Plagueis and become the principle servant and new Aedile of the di Plagia. After Si'Tilk's taking, Sarak served as a vicious but loyal creature for a time before stepping aside to further concentrate on studies of the Force. In his void, Jaek Aralias would come to be the new Aedile of the Ascendant House.

Aralias' arrival was a time when Vorrac began having visions of the future in his sleep; some troubled him deeply, while others whispered truths of power and success to him. However, he knew that before victory could belong to Plagueis, it had to know true and utter defeat; thus, he embarked on a journey outside Jusadih, leaving Aralias as Quaestor and the Rollmaster, Tra'an Reith, to fill the Aedile post. As Rollmaster for a time, the enigmatic Braecen Kaeth returned to Plagueis, lending strength to Jaek. Even so, his rule was to be a short one.

Jaek would soon crumble under the pressures all around him, Dark Jedi and military commanders kept in check only by virtue of Vorrac's now-missing iron grip and absolute sense of order. He departed Jusadih in the night, leaving the mantle of Ascendant Leadership to its only possible inheritor: Tra'an. Braecen, his favored Quaestor now gone, returned to the Rogues to pursue his own agenda. The Shi'ido was left with a monumental task; he was now in sole command of a system on the brink of disunity and chaos.

While Reith ascended to the Quaestor with the blessings of the Dark Council, those below him began to see him as weak, an outsider and usurper to power that they had been taught to crave. It was in these months that Plagueis and the Regime would be reduced to factions, groups, and splinters, some allying with rebels and others attempting to gain the favor of Dark Councilors and outside Houses and Clans. Before all could unravel and in the wake of attempts on Tra'an's life, one Dark Jedi in the House decided that loyalty to the Dark Council was the only way to ensure Ascendant glory. It was this that made him move to support the Council's chosen heir; gathering Dark Jedi that still served Lord Ashen loyally, the Weequay Unus Domus put together a vigilante unit and began disabling or destroying all those disloyal to the Throne of the Dark Tower.

While Tra'an still reeled to gather his House, he witnessed reports of boarded and captured ships left crippled in space, facilities destroyed, soldiers, Officers, and even Dark Jedi killed, and many other assets lost to this renegade group. In the end, he would detain the Dark Jedi aligned with Unus, putting them to trial; upon realizing that their actions had stabilized his system, the now-vindicated Reith decided to legitimize Unus and his group in the form of Battleteam Primus Pilus. Known as the Blade of Plagueis, something they had been since the start, they would fight to ensure loyalty, stability, and success for the Ascendant House in all matters.

Shortly after this, Reith appointed Unus to be his new Rollmaster as a reward for his loyalty, giving him administrative control over the House's logistics and the Master/Student pairings of the House. It was in this time that Kal di Plagia Vorrac returned to Jusadih space; while his arrival was heralded by many as a bittersweet blessing at best and a curse at worst, he was quickly welcomed by Tra'an for his cunning advice, his great experience, and the stability that he would lend to an already-fragile system. He took the role of Commander over Primus Pilus and, after aiding the Quaestor in reactivating the Master/Student Program that he had established during his tenure, became House Plagueis' third Taskmaster. Finally, after the death of his namesake during Domus' crusade against disunity, Tra'an recruited the demented Vong Sarak Shai to be his Aedile and right hand. Jusadih was finally stable once again.

After quickly reaffirming several policies and reconstructing their military assets, Plagueis joined the Dark Brotherhood as it went to war in the Invasion of New Tython. Landing near Menat Ombo the Plagueian forces made short work of the few Jedi they encountered before being surprised by the Mandalorian forces of Ge'tal Gaan. After a short but pitched battle where Templar Koga Kage nearly died in the defense of his Quaestor, Tra'an called a retreat on the advice of Vorrac, pulling back to their capital ships and regrouping. After a nighttime raid by Pilus, assisted by the recently-returned Arcadian, the Ascendant Forces managed to regroup and established a staging area in a captured Harakoan village. There, they assisted in the protection of Headmaster Taigikori Aybara Dupar and used their secretive location to launch aerial support and ground operations alongside the rest of the Brotherhood. Following the defeat of the Jedi and the death of Michael Halcyon, the forces of Plagueis returned to Jusadih, determined to move ahead of their Seventh House placement and Ascend again toward strength and security.

It was not long before they faced new challenges, as their system had become unruly in their absence.

Rule of a System

Stratocracy - a military government - is a form of government headed by military personnel. It is not necessarily the same as a military dictatorship, as the military and government can be interchangeable and a stratocracy does not have to be autocratic, or tyrannical, by nature.

Long had the leadership of Clan Plagueis been content to control the governorship of the Jusadih System from the shadows. Hiding within their own schemes, they avoided open roles within the system and planetary governments, which allowed the feudal leaders of the system to band together. This changed during the War of Ascension, when the Dark Jedi of Plagueis and their Military Regime overthrew the rebellious Jusadih Independence Coalition under the rule of Braecen Kaeth.

Since then, the Regime has enforced strict laws, all of which are enforced without mercy by Plagueis and its Dark Jedi. Currently, representatives of the Military govern the planets of Jusadih under direct orders from the Supreme Commander, a post held exclusively by the Quaestors of Plagueis. The Supreme Commander is in charge of all orders, decisions, and judicial matters in the system. He gives authorization to military action and determines the laws and systems of the government.

Beneath the Supreme Commander is his second in command, the Lieutenant Supreme Commander - a post exclusively held by Aediles. While the Supreme Commander gives orders and passes laws, the Lieutenant Supreme Commander will see that they are enforced, oversee direct military action, and coordinate direct action where his leader directs. Whereas the Supreme Commander leads from the Dark Throne, the Lieutenant Supreme Commander is his general in the field; leading from the proverbial trenches, he accomplishes all duties that the Supreme Commander levies upon him and ensures that all respect Jusadih Command.

The Rollmaster typically takes the role of handling all matters concerning logistics, finances, inner workings, and the Intelligence Directorate's findings. Whereas the Aedile is the Quaestor's executor, the Rollmaster is his inquisitor and advisor; all important dealings are reported by them and all covert operations or espionage is carried out with their approval, below the Quaestor's. Ultimately, the Rollmaster handles the shadowy and esoteric aspects of running a system, giving the Supreme Commander the tools that they need to oversee a Stratocracy.

Outside of covert strikes against targets designated by the Quaestor, Primus Pilus has no role as a unit to play in the government - though its members at times have their own agendas to pursue.

Rule of a House

Ascendant Rule

Like the Sith of old, the Quaestor of Plagueis takes absolute command over all aspects of the House - he makes decisions on the future, relays orders to his subordinates, and leads the House in all matters. As a liaison to the Dark Council, he ensures that the Ascendant House always respects the decrees and decisions of the Grand Master and his Councilors. In many ways, his role is that of a symbol or a figurehead - giving orders during Vendetta, broadcasting announcements and issuing decrees over encrypted channels on Jusadih's holonet, and Knighting Journeymen who have completed their trials - while in other ways his rule is direct, such as approving promotions, rewarding members, and designating command to those below him. While his rule is absolute and his decision final, he relies on his subordinates to handle the myriad issues of the House.

While the Quaestor decides what the House shall do, his Aedile is again his executor, assigning missions to the Knights and Equites of the House and carrying out projects, operations, and commands assigned to him. He acts as the Right Hand of the Quaestor, directly overseeing important matters and doing the more direct work that is involved in leading Plagueis. While he does not make the decisions or plan the future, he will work with the Dark Jedi under his command to see that the Quaestor's will is obeyed and comes to fruition.

The Rollmaster serves a much deeper role in regard to the House than he does in the system's governance - while the Aedile is the Quaestor's Right Hand, the Rollmaster is his Left. He oversees the Plagueian Path - the Master/Student Program of the Ascendant House - and ensures that all Masters take proper care in instructing their Students toward the Dark Side and the goals of Plagueis. In addition, he decides upon the Taskmaster, training him to one day take up the responsibilities of a Rollmaster and ensuring that he takes proper care of the Prospects, or Journeymen from the rank of Apprentice to the rank of Acolyte who have yet to prove themselves worthy of true training, and any Masterless Students, Journeymen from the rank of Protector to the rank of Jedi Hunter who have begun to learn the Force, but are not yet true Dark Jedi. Ultimately, while the Aedile ensures the present of Plagueis proceeds as planned, the Rollmaster plans for its future.

The final leader of Plagueis is the Commander of Primus Pilus. While the Aedile is the Right Hand, Pilus is the Blade - they are literally the main unit used to handle critical and dangerous situations. While sometimes Pilus will be assigned to other military units as an attache, they are formally acknowledged as a black ops unit; officially, they don't exist. Aside from this first-strike role and the deadly and often gritty duties they perform, Pilus serves another function; the Commander trains to become the next Aedile, all the while training two Flight Leaders as Superior and Minor to replace him. The two compete and will often exchange places in the fight to become a worthy Commander, ensuring that only the strongest and most capable rise to a position within the Plagueis Summit.

Economy

Overview

Though technically located on the outer edges of the Deep Core, the Jusadih System experiences a bountiful return as a member of the Inner-Core Merchant Alliance (ICMA). Several corporations and branches therein call the Jusadih System home, but none has had more of an impact on the system than Sistros Corporation, formerly known as Sistros Acquisitions and Holdings. Formerly a smuggling company and the front organization for Plagueis, Sistros was devastated by the Vong Incursion into Jusadih and, much like its controlling House, had to adapt to extraordinary circumstances. It has emerged as a multifaceted and undoubtedly stronger legitimate enterprise.

While the economy of Jusadih remains heavily rooted in the mining industry, with such substances as minerals, ores, and gems remaining a powerful factor on Kapsina and Morroth, the devastation of Nintura's surface has borne unprecedented fruit for Sistros. With the formerly-protected biosphere of the planet literally gone and its surface uninhabitable and toxic, specialized equipment has seen a resurgence of fuel extraction. The planet has also become a manufacturing center.

What Aerun - now Sigil 2 - used to produce has been largely supplanted by Shintera, whose population centers and agricultural potential have both bolstered the markets of Jusadih and helped the system flourished. In addition, private mining groups utilize the rings of the planet to extract even rarer substances from its asteroids and ice fragments, utilizing the wealth of long-destroyed moons for the entire system. Sigil 2 itself, while not contributing largely to the economy of the system, provides the main asset of its security - it aids Sistros' business by training the military forces that police the system. Finally, Morroth's mining towns yield rare and valuable metals and materials from deep below its ice-bound surface, while in secret it provides both a prison workforce - invaluable to Jusadih and useful in maintaining control - and a training center for the most essential component of Jusadih's government, the Dark Jedi of Plagueis.

With so much production, interstellar trade makes up an even larger portion of the economy, managed largely by the import/export assets of Sistros. Though the permanent staple of trade remains raw mining resources, the emerging markets of energy, agriculture, and manufacturing have finally brought stability to Jusadih in the form of both profit and trade. The largest consumer, and closest trade partner, is the central hub of the galaxy, Coruscant; though a considerable amount of business is also conducted with the denizens of the Antei System, accounting for 34% of exports and nearly 40% of imports as of 35 ABY. In addition, private import and export deals continue with the Empire of the Cocytus System, ruled by Plagueis' allies in Scholae Palatinae.

Technically a free market economy, the many controlled assets of Sistros Corporation often tilt or heavily influence the stock market, booms, and busts of the system. In truth, though, it is a market with considerably more freedom than many in the Mid and Outer Rims. The per capita gross domestic product (GDP) of Kapsina and Morroth is considerably typically a higher source of regional income than Shintera or Nintura, though the planets have begun to make a comeback, reducing import costs enormously in the previous few years; only Sigil 2, officially quarantined, remains as a virtually profitless world.

Major exports are the portion of produced goods being exported to the galactic market. Imports are the portion being imported for Jusadih's use, while domestic production fills the remaining percentage. Example: For food, Plagueis is importing 35% of the food they are using; the remaining is domestic.

Society and Culture

Overall, citizens of Jusadih are quite patriotic, as the regime guarantees a well-enforced law, healthy economy, and safe existence in a system once ruled by feudal squabbling and corruption. However, pockets of rebellion do exist - those against the laws that make the Regime sole dictators of the region. These splinters of the JIC, along with various criminal factions, are the last of the thorns in Plagueis' side; propaganda, resources, and superior forces largely keep the system calm and controlled.

Jusadih's culture varies from planet to planet. On Kapsina, two distinct groups are present; within its cities, centers of luxury and with samples of culture and art from all over the galaxy, an elitist society has developed. Largely either tourists or rich citizens of Jusadih, people from every corner of the cosmos congregate in Kapsina for elegance, extravagance, and luxury rarely found anywhere else. Outside these cities, however, lies the city and tiny outposts of the Myrsei, descendants of minors that crashed on the desert planet thousands of years ago. Shunning the decadence and foolishness of the other cities, these people live in accord with the desert, content with average technology, tradition, and a lack of greater galactic involvement.

Sigil 2's citizens are entirely Dark Jedi, Military Officers, soldiers, and recruits. Thus, it is a place of very spartan attitudes and harsh training. Even so, a culture of sorts has sprung up amongst Sigil 2's inhabitants - one of fierce loyalty and a desire for strength. They train directly with the Dark Jedi of the House and know entirely who and what they serve, but like the stormtroopers of the Imperial Remnant, they are fanatically loyal to their commanders. Many of them were refugees from the Vong Incursion, survivors from Aerun, Nintura, and the few cities devastated on Shintera as well as the rest of the galaxy. Where the Jedi did not help them, the Dark Jedi of Plagueis offered them not only safety and security, but a chance at a new and better life; many of them feel literally indentured to their masters for the opportunity.

Nintura's inhabitants are literally only those on the moon of Shintura, formerly called the "Battle Moon" for its garrisons and military outposts, and those who are shuttled down with safety equipment to work in mines, fuel depots, factories, and junkyard facilities. While the hazards are unmatched, so too is the pay - so incredible that a few thousand are willing to risk life, longevity, and limb in the name of a huge payoff. In addition, Shintura's surface holds the last remnants of the Ninturan Preservation Coalition, a Wookiee-led group once hoping to make the rainforest world a sanctuary like Kashyyyk. Now, they aim more toward restoration, but refrain from openly protesting the Regime's shameless exploitation of the ruined world below as such protests rarely ever end well. As of the present moment, the Preservation Coalition is not a militant group.

Shintera, while holding holidays for the lost cities of Asgard, Glasir, and Drasil, has blossomed into the population center of Jusadih - while Kapsina hosts the elite in an existence comparable to casino worlds in Hutt space, only devoid of the crime, Shintera is the world of skyscraper cities and vast groups of people. People in every bracket below the elite, from the lower, middle, and upper classes alike, call this place home. In addition to the many activities that go on within each city, there is an agricultural component to the world; the farmers in Shintera's outlying fields stick largely to lifestyles that would befit a world like Dantooine, while the cities themselves are an interesting melange of galactic cultures and urban lifestyles. Overall, the main differences between a Shinteran and Coruscanti life are patriotism, stratocratic rule, and a difference in trends and styles brought about by their Deep Core location - sometimes they are ahead of the times, sometimes behind.

Morroth's population is tiny - below ten thousand citizens on the entire planet - and thus, the society there is one common to mining communities. The people there are focused on their work, live a largely calm life suited to small, isolated towns, and have little to do with the greater system's political or cultural sphere. Ultimately, it's the most dangerous line of work outside Nintura, though the weather on the world is so cold that the average humanoid can only survive in it while wearing winter gear in the most habitable of temperatures. When the temperature drops or the infamous Morroth blizzards sweep by, the citizens dwell inside structures or travel using heated speeders. It is these same temperatures that make Morroth an ideal place to house prisoners; even if the inhabitants of the world's three penal facilities ever did escape, they would quickly die of exposure or be caught, ensuring they stay put. Finally, the military maintains only one true outpost on the world - Outpost Galthain - whose entire existence outside of special operations is to guard and protect the nearby Temple of Plagueis and its Students.

Naturally, a criminal underworld exists in Jusadih; it appears in high-risk areas or "Red Zones" in cities on Kapsina and Shintera, while making occasional appearances on Morroth or Nintura. This underworld includes elements like the Ensaari Free Traders and pirate gangs like the Bloodhawk Butchers, and is often the only place to go for goods and medical supplies for the remnants of the Jusadih Independence Coalition. Ultimately, though, the crime in Jusadih is dominated by the far-reaching, influential, and notoriously difficult-to-incarcerate Hutts of the Grardella Syndicate.

Military

In days past, Old Clan Plagueis would rely upon the private armies of the nobility to keep the system secure, ruling from the shadows and relying on the Dark Side to warn them of incoming threats. Their fleet proved adequate to secure essential trade routes, but against the Force-dead Yuuzhan Vong, their forces were essentially swept aside. Following this and the War of Ascension, Plagueis put in place a much stronger, Dark Council-granted military force that has since been supplemented with conscripts and volunteers from the system. In addition, any ships lost or damaged have been replaced or repaired using in-system assets, pending Dark Council approval. Today, the military of Jusadih is composed into two large divisions, both comprised of smaller divisions. The divisions are the Ascendant Legion and the Ascendant Fleet.

Ascendant Legion

Composing all ground-based forces of Plagueis, the Ascendant Legion includes all direct assault, reconnaissance, covert operations, ground-based support, and ground-based intelligence gathering units of Plagueis. It is designed to operate either in specific units or as a whole, and its units often have Dark Jedi amongst them. For their direct role in military operations and planning, these members are classified on paper as Foxtrot Uniforms in various classes.

Jusadih Armed Forces

Outside of the intelligence-based forces of Plagueis, the Jusadih Armed Forces are the front-line and direct operations soldiers of the system. It is the main unit that handles battles, ground engagements, and planet-based defense. It is also the most common for a soldier to join; nearly two thirds of all forces in the system join the Armed Forces initially before either staying or branching off. Moreso than in space or in a Directorate room, the Armed Forces see more direct interaction with Dark Jedi in the field than any other group.

Jusadih Intelligence Directorate

When not involved in direct engagements, the Ascendant Legion's forces are most commonly acting in recon, espionage, or saboteur roles - all governed by the Jusadih Intelligence Directorate. Whispered about by most as such names as spooks and cranks - allocated due to their ghost-like nature and their rumored torture of victims, respectively - their agents are most-commonly nicknamed black coats. Aside from these agents, units under Directorate control are almost inevitably in permanent action hunting for rumors of treason or rebellion, finding information to keep Command capable and sharp, and most importantly, ensuring nothing that could compromise Plagueis or the JMR escapes or enters Jusadih space.

Ascendant Fleet

Composed of all aerial and space-based units under the command of Plagueis, the Ascendant Fleet plays a number of vital roles, from space defense and air support to troop transport and even some diplomatic functions. Like with many systems, while the actual engagements are the Legion's protocol, without the Fleet they'd be a war machine unable to deploy. Composed of the Jusadih Naval Command and the Jusadih Starfighter Corps, the Ascendant Fleet is a place of both tactical engagements and thrilling, physics-bending warfare; both areas in which a Dark Jedi's influence can turn the tide decisively.

Jusadih Naval Command

The fleet of Jusadih is composed of many impressive ships, from their flagship, Ascendancy, to the Atrum Pars II, terror of pirates and smugglers system-wide. That said, it also includes a number of lesser picket ships and transports; these ships are not starfighters and thus not a part of the Corps, but they are unto the fleet as blood is to a body. Jusadih Starfighter Corps

While the larger ships are the workhorses of space battles, taking on huge capital ships and playing interstellar dejarik to decide who wins an engagement, the wild pilots of the Starfighter Corps police the small spaces between craft. In a large engagement, frigates and picket ships that are essential to support larger capital ships are easy targets for bombers and snub fighters - something the many interceptors of the Corps prevents, and something that the many bombers among the Corps exploit wholeheartedly. While naval officers make decisions and plan engagements, these fighter jockeys defy the laws of gravity and physics for a living every day.

Astrography

Jusadih System

The Jusadih System is located in the Deep Core, yet still in relatively close proximity to Coruscant, and is the current home of House Plagueis. It contains five planets: Kapsina, Sigil 2, Nintura, Shintera, and Morroth. The system is quite volatile and possesses a star - Sigil - that has worked with black holes in past millennia to shift its planetary alignment many times. This leads many to think that planets have been gained or lost during these shifts. In more recent times, the hand of the Yuuzhan Vong has scourged two of the worlds - Nintura and Sigil 2 - and damaged Shintera. Even so, the Jusadih Military Regime and Sistros Corporation have returned the system to a confident - if somewhat uncertain - prosperity.

Today, Plagueis looks forward to growth as a capable Summit leads it into the future. Its largest threats are the other Houses and Clans, though it seeks to reduce those threats through diplomacy, and the threat of discovery from the Galactic Alliance, though it polices itself very well. However, underneath the surface, the splinters of the Jusadih Independence Coalition work ever harder and with worse elements every day in an effort to reclaim their old place as independent rulers of the system - this time, with a free and democratic Jusadih behind them.

Force Point

Stationed over Kapsina, Force Point is a Cardan III-Class Space Station that controls space traffic over the capital world, defends the world from foreign threats, recieves and monitors intelligence about the security of Jusadih, coordinates missions and operations, and most importantly, repairs the ships of the Ascendant Fleet. It is the main center of space defense for Kapsina and operates its duties seamlessly and efficiently, often under the eyes of a Plagueian or two.

Commissioned prior to the Tenth Great Jedi War, Force Point was given to Plagueis for their efforts in the Invasion of New Tython. Currently, it is also a site used for military holovids and announcements, business meetings, and a number of other space-bound operations. With two tractor beams, mid-level weaponry, and a force of TIE Interceptors on hand, it is more than capable of detaining or crippling illicit vessels and aiding legitimate ones in seeking repairs should they be in danger. Ultimately, it is a keystone of the Ascendant effort for system defense.

Omicron Platform

Posted over the planet Morroth, the Omicron Platform is an XQ3 platform at the edge of the Jusadih System that acts primarily as a center for negotiations and diplomatic relations between Plagueis and the Dark Council, other Clans, Houses, and any other groups. In addition, top-level Sistros dealings that concern the JMR are typically conducted here, as the Plagueis Summit is always controlling things behind the scenes with the political group. Formerly used in some military engagements, the existence of Force Point has delegated Omicron back to its intended usage.

In addition, the stationing over Morroth gives Omicron an additional purpose: Controlling space traffic over the penal colony. With the equipment onboard and a satellite network in orbit over the planet, it can monitor all comings and goings of ships to and from the world and check for irregularities. This is important, as a starfighter squadron from the Platform will often escort prisoner transports to the ice world's maximum-security prisons to ensure no malpractice. Most importantly, though, this allows Omicron to recieve signals from Omega Base on Morroth and request assistance from Kapsina if the base or the Temple of Plagueis is ever overwhelmed.

Kapsina

The crown jewel of the Jusadih System, and host of the headquarters of House Plagueis. Kapsina, once a planet of expansive oceans underwent dramatic changes instigated by the devastating touch of Jusadih’s sun, Sigil. This chain of events turning the once luscious planet into a dry, desolate landscape. Kapsina is composed of five continents: Kurast, Calimcha, Asinai, Schall, Khanduras. In addition, Kapsina possesses two Adegan crystal veins - giving the planet great importance to the Dark Jedi.

Kapsina was spared by the invasion of the Yuuzhan Vong, which set back their tourism industry - but only momentarily. Since then, it has gone on to reclaim its reputation as the home for Jusadih's elite and is ever the destination for the system's super-rich. However, unbeknownst to all but a few Officers and Dark Jedi, the silhouette of the Dark Tower truly controls the system's fate.

Sigil 2

A planet once engulfed in ice, much like Kapsina, the ecosystem went through massive environmental changes and was transformed by the touch of system's star, Sigil. The changes turned the land from a glacial wasteland to a moderately temperate climate... until the Yuuzhan Vong Invasion.

It would be during the Eighth Great Jedi War that Aerun would be reduced to a barren, twisted wasteland. Bombardment and the initial effects of terraforming would completely destroy the world's surface, wiping out the iconic Diadem Fortress and Ash Citadel. Today, Plagueis has reclaimed the world and its terraformed jungle, controls Si'Tilk and Fort Ash in lieu of Diadem and the Citadel, and warily trains its military among the quarantined wastes.

Nintura

Formerly a world of lush jungles and unmatched abundance, Nintura was devastated beyond any other world during the Vong Incursion. While Shintera's cities were bombarded, the entire surface of Nintura was turned into an ashen hellhole, its land burnt to magma and ashes, its oceans boiled off, and its many lifeforms killed by bioweaponry. While Sigil 2 was treated likewise before Vongforming, the Vong didn't stay long enough to clean the destroyed planet up - Nintura was left a toxic, uninhabitable wasteland.

Nevertheless, Plagueis has persevered. Despite protests from some groups on the moon of Shintura, Nintura's vast mineral and fuel resources - previously kept from the Ascendant House by preserved and protected rainforests and settlements - are now being mined and exported. In addition, massive production facilities and junkyards have worked together to make Nintura the manufacturing and waste management capital of the system. That said, while all of the other planets of Jusadih are now much cleaner, some wonder what the ultimate cost was. Others wonder if such a fate is a fitting tribute to a world once so alive.

Shintera

The fourth planet, hung within the illustrious chain of the Jusadih System, is Shintera. Home to the greatest population of the entire system, its surface holds several cities, each composed of large dwellings or skyscrapers. Aside from memorial sites for the lost cities of Asgard, Drasil, and Glasir, every population center is a bustling hub of residential and commercial prowess. The vast majority of Jusadih residents live here - along with the bulk of the economy.

Though mining is prevalent on Kapsina, Nintura, and Morroth, it is on Shintera that trading of commodities and other businesses thrive. People drive business, and it is in no short supply, be it commercial sales, commodity trading, the lucrative stock market, the import/export business, or even the field of agriculture. While it isn't as glamorous as Kapsina, the planet's cities are a good place for the billions below the elite upper crust to live out their lives.

Morroth

Farthest from the star named Sigil, the planet of Morroth has been nicknamed one big glacier - the world is literally too cold for liquid water to exist. Even so, an eccentric orbit brings it close enough to Jusadih on occasion to foster vicious, snowy blizzards, an anomaly still not entirely explained by Jusadih scientists. The world boasts uninhabitable climates, inhospitable weather, and an array of fearsome, Sith-spawned terrors for fauna.

Even so, the mineral wealth on Morroth is too great to ignore. Thermal mining equipment and specialized survival gear give rise to a few small mining towns, though the population of the world is below ten thousand sapient beings. However, far from the towns lies the other official use for Morroth - a prison world. Three maximum security facilities that are literally impossible to escape hold criminals varying from mediocre to unreleasable. It is here, in the terrifying Tyr Prison, that those people that Plagueis cannot allow to ever see the light again reside. Even so, another secret dwarfs these pour souls; the Temple of Plagueis, training site of Ascendant Dark Jedi and former abode of Plagueis himself.

Allies and Enemies

Allies

  • Scholae Palatinae: A common bond is shared between the Royal House and the Ascendant House, though today its nature is far different than in ages past. Rather than ancient sentiment or similarity, the two Houses confide in each other due to similarity; where Jusadih has a stratocratic government, Cocytus is openly controlled via Empire. In such displays of power and dominance, the Houses and their Quaestors often find themselves as kindred spirits.

Neutral

  • Tarentum: The Tarenti have formerly grown irritated with Plagueis for their military ways, but it has gone from mimickry to the defining aspect of the Ascendant House; the ways of Old Plagueis are truly gone. That said, House Tarentum is as always wary of Plagueis, though the two have no true reason to be enemies.
  • Odan-Urr: The Jedi of Odan-Urr have certainly drawn distaste from Plagueians before, but they have yet to truly pose a threat to the Ascendant cause. That said, when a Jedi from the Light House enters Plagueian locales, they are watched without fail and, if need be, eliminated. Should Plagueians arrive at New Tython, they are almost certainly tailed; Plagueis does not take kindly to traitors.
  • Arcona: Since the Reform, the opposition between Plagueis and Arcona has gone from a vicious rivalry to mere contempt; Plagueis has yet to regain Clan status, while Arcona holds the exhalted position of First Clan, superior in might and deed both. That said, the Shadow Clan watches over its shoulder as the Ascendant House works to regain and outdo its former strength.

Enemies

  • Naga Sadow: Technically allied with Scholae Palatinae, Plagueis has been obligated to come to the aid of their allies as they warred with Clan Naga Sadow. After Fremoc Pepoi's killing of Angelo Dante Palpatine, the enmity between Naga Sadow and Palatinae grew to a violent head, and Plagueis has had no choice but to follow. That said, the Ascendant Cause is always open to a better way for success, even if that means swapping one enemy for another.
  • Taldryan: Deemed an 'abomination' by the former First Clan at Plagueis' inception, the two Clans were wrapped in a bitter rivalry until Clan Plagueis tripped - its infrastructure unraveling with the departure of Grand Master Emeritus Chi Long. Now, as Houses, most of their enmity comes from Taldryan's alliance with Naga Sadow, given that Plagueis is technically allied with Sadow's enemy, Scholae Palatinae. Outside of this, Taldryan hardly considers Plagueis a threat.

In line with its new motto, Plagueis prides itself on its ability to survive; it has weathered many fierce storms and come out on top. Refusing to die, they adapt to new circumstances and build skills to compensate for any weakness. They have seen many changes and reforms, but their instability has finally come to an end; now, they seek only to rise upward.

Contrary to the unstable and easily-divided Summit of Old Clan Plagueis, the Plagueian Summit of today readily welcomes Dark Council assistance. Council aid was essential in winning the Battle for Si'Tilk, and since then Councilor assistance has only strengthened the Ascendant House. Now, they do not just fight for Plagueis; they fight for the entire Brotherhood.

The motto of a Plagueian is to Adapt, Ascend, and Avail; they do not back down from challenges and they do not take no for an answer. That said, when victory cannot be attained through a fight, they will often ally or flee; if allying with another, it is to gain their skills so that one day they can stand alone. If fleeing, it's to seek a better angle attack. A Plagueian never gives up; he simply finds another way to fight.

The following is a list of all members who have had an influence on and impacted House Plagueis before and since the Reform that do not wear the Clan Name. For those whom serve in the most distinguished of manners, the title of "di Plagia" was bestowed upon them; today, the right to name Sons and Daughters of Plagueis is lost to the Ascendant House, though they fight to reclaim it.
