Celevon Edraven is an Assassin within the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Both his parentage and place of birth are unknown to him. He is wanted for murder on several systems under various aliases. He is a member of the Obelisk Order. He is currently an Obelisk Templar and Battleteam Leader of Battleteam Arete of House Qel-Droma of Clan Arcona.
The Assassin is a widower following the murder of Krath Archpriestess Xathia Edraven Erinos, a former Judge in the ACC before she retired from the Brotherhood to a quieter lifestyle to raise their children.
History
Life Before The Brotherhood (11 ABY - 32 ABY)
Early life
Very little is known of Celevon’s life before he was discovered wandering the outskirts of the city of Iziz on the planet Onderon at the age of twelve. His earliest memory, before waking up in the medical facility, is of bright flashes of light, heat and pain, which he assumes is how he received his head wound. However, due to a feeling of familiarity after waking up, he considers Onderon to be his home planet. Also, because of the scans on his body immediately after arrival at the medical facility, he knows he was born near the end of the seventh month, eleven years after the Battle of Yavin.
Awakening
Upon being discovered walking with a bleeding head wound, a Lieutenant of the Onderon Military saw him collapse to the ground, unconscious. Shortly thereafter, he was taken to a nearby medical facility. He awoke to a small room, and a young male doctor checking his vitals, a few days later. The young preteen, then called Raven by the doctors at the facility, due to his unusually dark hair, was diagnosed with retrograde amnesia, meaning that he had no memory of anything before receiving the head wound. Several months later, Raven had gone through a large number of books, mostly historical texts, and one that he thought was fictional until later in his life. It detailed battles between Jedi and Sith, or Dark Jedi, for countless millennia. By this time, the doctors had lost their original optimistic view that the young boy would receive some of his memories back, and told him that he would need to choose a new name for himself. Not long after, he chose the name Celevon Edraven: ‘Celevon’ being an ancient word that meant silver for his first, and combining the two words Ed, who was his favorite doctor, and Raven to create his last name.
During the years he stayed at the medical facility, he learned a variety of things: From the young doctor he saw upon his awakening, Marcus, he learned the basics of medical treatment, and the medical use of a knife; from J’akked, or Ed, who was former military, (though Ed never told him who he served under, or on what side) trained him in the use of a sword, the basics of how to safely handle and fire a blaster, and in hand-to-hand combat, amongst other varied skills. It was from Ed that Celevon learned he was a force sensitive, with Ed using memories to describe why he thought this. This occurred when he was fifteen years of age.
One that stood out for Celevon was after he had awoken from a nightmare to see a number of doctors around him, all talking at the same time. Celevon screamed, and all the doctors in the room were pushed back at least five feet, some more than that. After learning of this, Celevon began meditation, hoping to learn to consciously use his hidden powers. Ed brought in an older man to train Celevon in how to feel the force, and to tap into it to augment his normal skills, as well as sensing it in others. Celevon never saw the old man again, though he did search relentlessly in the years following his release. To this day, the Onderonian is still unaware of who the man was and likely will never know.
Release
Finally, after nearly five years in the facility, and loads of convincing on his part as well as a full medical scan by the doctors until they were satisfied, that Celevon was finally released from the medical facility. He immediately set out to find a job, to earn a few hundred credits before moving on, finding another job, moving, and starting over again.
And that continual cycle kept going until two years later, after traveling to different planets, that he became both a smuggler and a weapons dealer. Due to this job, he increased his combat skills, especially those with his sword, daggers, and varied types of blasters. He kept this job for two years, before his partner, Derrik, tried to have him killed. When confronted, Derrik tried to lie and say that he had nothing to do with it, though Celevon could see the truth of it in his eyes.
Several hours later, emergency personnel arrived at the home to find the home in flames, and, after putting them out, found the owner, one Derrik Malachi, had been skillfully and meticulously tortured using the dagger they found embedded in his throat. While emergency personnel had been putting out the fire and searching the home, Celevon was already on his way back to Onderon, and had sold his and Derrik’s ship for 15000 credits.
Discovery
After arriving on Onderon, Celevon had sensed a large presence in the force deep within the jungles. Before he could do anything about that, he used 10,000 credits at a smith to have a personalized sword made, as well as several dozen daggers in a black metal, with himself adding engravings in silver afterwards. Once his sword, which has a black blade, with both edges sharpened, while the hilt is black, with dark grey wrappings, and black daggers were finished, he tested them, and finding them in good condition, paid the talented smith. Celevon also bought some food and water, and set out to find out what the huge presence he sensed in the jungle was. It was several days later, that he stumbled onto a large training area of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Needless to say, he joined once given the opportunity. Mere days later, he received his transfer papers to the Independent house, Arcona. Hours later, Celevon settled down for the long journey to the Dajorra System, the planet Selen, where he would meet his new family within Arcona's Citadel.
The Brotherhood's Embrace (32 ABY - 35 ABY)
Learning
Once Celevon had settled into Arcona, he dove into the knowledge provided like a man dying from dehydration who discovers a large pool of water. Less than a month after joining, Celevon was at the rank of Acolyte. Celevon was due to be promoted within the next day, when the Rollmaster, Timeros Caesus Entar Arconae introduced Celevon to Sashar Arconae, leader of Arcona's Special Operations Squad, Soulfire Strike Team who had an interesting proposal: For Celevon to join the highly selective battleteam.
Celevon accepted the invitation almost immediately after it was offered, and chose the specialization of Sniper. After completing the Killing House (Short Assault Course), Celevon was formally welcomed into Soulfire's ranks. Mere hours later, Celevon was promoted to the rank of Protector. It was during this time that Celevon recruited a young man into the Brotherhood by the name of Apophis Undomiel. At the Shadow Academy, Celevon focused on a wide variety of subjects, though Combat and History were his main course of study.
Chains that Bind
While Celevon was still a Protector, he and Sashar entered into a cooperative contract with Arcona Contract Bureau, in which the duo was tasked with the elimination of an information broker. At that point, the duo only had his name: Celsus Fal'tir. In order to get a face to go with the name, Celevon was alone given the task of eliminating a Navigator by the name of Aaron Vicks. Once Celevon saw the picture of the man, he had a flashback to four years prior, when he was gathering information with Derrik Malachi, they recorded a young twi'lek being led into a hotel.
The video showed the man leaving the hotel alone, looking extremely shifty. Not long after, they discovered that the girl had been murdered. Out of curiosity, Celevon investigated this, and gathered the information on the case. Once Celevon had regained his bearings, he traveled to Giletta Spaceport, where he publicly executed Aaron Vicks, before escaping within seconds of the man dying with a dagger in his throat. After being haunted by this for many years, Celevon finally avenged the ghost of his past. It was at the end of this mission that Celevon met his friend, and later adopted brother, Talos Erinos.
Days of Guarding
Four months later, Celevon was promoted to the rank of Guardian. During his time as a Guardian, Celevon improved his skills in combat, which included receiving a Dark Maven Shadow Academy Degree in two subjects: General History and Combat. After passing an exam at the Shadow Academy, Celevon was given a position within the Grand Master's Royal Guard, which he wasn't expecting. As far as Celevon was concerned, it was just a history exam, until he received a notice that he was given the honor of being within the First Echelon of the Grand Master's Royal Guard.
During his time as a Guardian, Celevon received an Anteian Cross for his dedicated service to his House and Battleteam. After learning of this, Celevon changed from the Sith Order to the Order of the Obelisk, after realizing that it was more attuned to his personality. After six months of being a Guardian, Celevon was again promoted. This time to the rank of Jedi Hunter.
The Hunter
Less than an hour after receiving this promotion, Celevon was approached by Sashar, who wanted to discuss the design of Celevon's lightsaber with him. After Sashar left, Talos showed up, wondering if Celevon wanted to spar. An hour later, once again in Celevon's quarters, Celevon discussed his idea to become Blood Brothers with Talos, through the use of a ritual. After the discussion, Celevon received news that someone was searching for him.
After the conversation, where Celevon told the man "to have 'Ripper' deal with him", Talos was curious, especially with the fact that Celevon used the codename 'Stalker'. At Talos’ prompting, Celevon explained how he had been approached by a man who offered to train him when he was seventeen. And that the man had trained him in the way of the Assassin while improving on Celevon’s fighting skills. How he was given the codename of ‘Stalker’ due to the manner of which he pursued and eliminated his targets. How he found and took on a student of his own after he had completed his own training. How the student, originally known as simply ‘Jake’, was later adopted by Celevon as a younger brother and renamed Jacen Orion Edraven with the codename ‘Ripper’.
After the explanation, Celevon contacted Jacen to setup a meeting. The next day, the two met with Jacen at a seedy pub in Estle City. An hour later, the trio departed Selen to achieve the first task in Celevon’s Knighthood Trials: Crafting a Lightsaber. For this, the trio traveled to Ilum. During the flight, Jacen revealed that he had received training in the New Jedi Order and had been recently promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight. Before dropping the two off at the entrance to the crystal caves, Jacen loaned Celevon his secondary lightsaber: A lightsaber with a black durasteel straight hilt and a viridian blade. Inside the cave, Celevon experienced a force vision: Two versions of himself appeared, one as a Jedi Master, the other immersed in the dark side. Celevon cut down the light side version, before defeating the dark version with an unexpected maneuver. Once the figures dispersed, Celevon chose a dark blue Adegan crystal and approached the dais where Talos sat in meditation, having already laid out the materials to build a lightsaber.
After he successfully crafted his lightsaber, he received his next task in the Knighthood Trials from Sashar via comlink: Kill Jacen to prove his loyalty to both Sashar and Arcona. Though he was clearly reluctant, Celevon killed Jacen with the man’s own lightsaber before he piloted the ship to pick up Talos. The third and final Trial was to face Sashar in a match within the Antei Combat Centre. Celevon faced him and was defeated soundly. He hadn’t expected to win, though he did manage to land several blows to the Elder before he was forced to yield. They were preparing for his elevation to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight when Sashar’s half-brother, Zandro Savric Erinos, was captured by the remnants of the Death Walkers. This disaster prompted the start of Operation Ad Infinitum. Sashar told Celevon that, if he could prove himself worthy of the prestigious rank during the operation, he would personally make sure the promotion went through by using the political clout he had as Praetor to the Master At Arms.
Operation Ad Infinitum
Due to the issue of a family member being held captive, Celevon didn’t see much of his Master during the Operation. However, during the Operation, Celevon could be found in the Offices of the Arcona Contract Bureau nearly as often as the Commissioners. The first contract was to assassinate Bregan Dedguro, a slaver who was a member of a slaving organization who sold hundreds, if not thousands of sentients to the Death Walker Cult. Once night fell, Dedguro’s guards fell one after another to the Journeyman’s blades. Once the guards outside all lay dead, Celevon placed a fragmentation grenade, the variety that exploded on impact, on the front door. He then walked to the rear of the cottage and threw two grenades around the front end of the building. The remaining guards on the inside set off the grenade that had been haphazardly placed on the front door. They were decimated by the blast. As soon as the blast happened, Celevon had sliced a mock door in the back wall. The concussive blast from the grenade detonating sent the piece of wall flying. Minutes later, Celevon felled the slaver with the lightsaber he had constructed on Ilum.
Not long after his return to the Citadel, Celevon was being reprimanded by Talos for using the lightsaber before he achieved the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. After promising not to use the lightsaber again until he was Knighted, and subsequently returning the Saber to his quarters, returned to the Bureau for his next contract. Barely an hour later, Talos dropped Celevon off at one of the bases that housed members of the Arcona Army Corps with instructions to protect his friend and escort him back to Arcona’s Citadel. Two hours later, following a brief gunfight, Talos’ friend (Staff Sergeant Yulan Ved) was safely in the Citadel. The following morning, Celevon received a contract to assault a Death Walker remnant encampment. The Jedi Hunter and the two platoons of AAC troops attacked the encampment several hours later which ended with no casualties, excepting a few injuries and close calls.
Celevon entered the Commissioners’ Office and was stunned to see his Master seated in the chair where Talos normally sat waiting for the next Galerian to request a contract. After a short conversation, the Journeyman left to accomplish his first Recruiting Contract. The recruit was a teenaged ginger named Dustin Benner. It wasn’t difficult to convince the teen to become one of Arcona’s assets. A small confrontation with three members of a gang within Port Ol’val took place before they departed the Asteroid Port and returned to Selen. The next morning, Celevon took another contract. This one was an Assassination mission, with the target being the personal assistant to the director of a shipping company that is a suspected front for Dash Kuatir’s sizable financial resources. Sashar’s adopted son, Teroch, was an unexpected partner for this mission. The fifteen year old had originally been sent to complete the mission should Celevon die, for whatever reason. The teen worked in cohesion with Celevon to accomplish the mission, with the Assassin doing the dirty work of actually killing the man. The corpse was displayed in a highly horrifying manner to ‘make it nasty’, as Sashar had requested.
The final mission was an Assault Contract with both Talos Erinos and Celevon working together to attack a Nomad-Class Corvette belonging to Dash Kuatir’s Private Military Company, which was made up of mostly pirates and mercenaries. The mission was completed with several casualties to the Special Operations squads. One of the squads was almost completed decimated, due to a traitor within that squad. Sashar had requested a single prisoner to send back to Dash, but Celevon and Talos decided to bring the traitor back as well. The desolate ship was then blown to pieces after what remained of the original assault group escaped on an Armored Assault Transport with their two prisoners to return to Selen. After the completion of this mission and subsequent return to Selen, Celevon took two days of much needed rest. Several hours after he finished his rest, he was summoned to Arcona’s Citadel, where the entire Clan was gathering. It seemed the hour to rescue the Consul had finally arrived. The planning of the rescue mission began in difficult circumstances, with time limit and other restrictions which were in place causing tempers to flare and very few feasible ideas to come to the fore. However, when a breakthrough came, it was thanks to the former Consul, Sashar Arconae, whose devious scheme was accepted by the majority as being their best shot at success. The plan finalized and the execution getting ever closer, it was time for the rescue mission to begin.
A group comprising both Arconan and Tarentum members began their mission by first establishing a cordon around the building within which Zandro was being held captive. Slowly and meticulously, the group moved forward while thinning out, fanning around the building to surround it fully as they crept closer to their target. When the time to breach came, it was the group on the East side of the building which distinguished themselves: the trio of Celevon Edraven, Ronovi Tavisaen and Cassandra El’sin opening fire with deadly precision and killing half of the enemy troops before the rest of the combined Tarcona force could begin their own breaches. All bar one of the enemy troops were cut down without mercy, with this lone survivor being spirited away for a rigorous questioning from members of the DIA (Dajorra Intelligence Agency), while at the same time the rescued Consul was evacuated and spirited away to the Eye of the Abyss, where he underwent medical examinations and began his recovery.
In honor of their instrumental actions during his rescue, Zandro proclaimed that Celevon, Ronovi and Cassandra would now be known as his personal rescue team, should the not-so-unlikely event of his capture occur once more. A badge of honor indeed.
After the completion of the mission, Celevon walked to the Citadel’s Ceremonial Hall where the entire Clan was gathering. He had noticed and ignored the odd looks he received due to the fact that he was attired in black combat boots, a pair of black tactical pants and a sleeveless black shirt. He noticed Talos giving him an amused look moments before the two leaders of Arcona entered the room. ProConsul Wuntila Zratan Entar was wearing his formal attire as he gave a short speech to the assembled Clan members thanking them for their dedicated service while the Consul was held captive. Consul Zandro Savric Erinos was wearing a set of Shadesworn Robes with the hood pulled up. Still, there was no mistaking the Sith’s presence in the Force. He gave a speech where he repeated Wuntila’s thanks to the Clan and those that rescued him before he explained that he had received visions that war was approaching while he was held captive. The members were dismissed
not long after. Sashar entered Celevon’s quarters early the next morning to inform Celevon that he had impressed the Elder well beyond Sashar’s expectations and that he was to be Knighted within the coming days. He was also rewarded an Anteian Cross for his dedicated service during the Operation.
Knighthood
Immediately following his ascension to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight, the Assassin sought training in Lightsaber Combat from several of his friends within Arcona. Luckily, he had become ‘acceptable’ in both forms shortly before the eruption of the Tenth Great Jedi War. Through the months of battles, Celevon worked almost exclusively with the members of Soulfire Strike Team. The hostilities ceased with the noble sacrifice of the Assassin’s former Master, Sashar Arconae and the man’s brother, Consul Zandro Savric Erinos. Following the Arconan Forces being declared the victors in the Tenth Great Jedi War, the Clan gathered in a large burial for the fallen. Upon his return, though many asked, he wouldn’t give a straight answer on what he had been doing during his absence. It is believed that he took Assassination missions in his absence from the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, perhaps hunting the stragglers who had escaped justice to avenge his former Master.
He discovered that his friend and half-sister, Xathia Tugrina, had had a falling out and divorce with her now ex-husband Kratus Vahillus in his absence. Immediately after being able to catch up with his half-sister, Soulfire Strike Team was assembled for two potential recruits: Balthier and Etah d’Tana. After a few days, in which the pair had successfully managed to impress Teroch Erinos, who had been given the lead position the Battleteam with his father’s death. At the debriefing afterwards, Teroch stepped down from his position of Sergeant, turning it over to his 2IC (2nd-In-Command) Major Talos Erinos.
Arcona Family Feud of 35 ABY
The siblings had been relaxing after the training mission when a message went out to all Arconans, following the assassination attempt on Consul Wuntila Zratian Entar Arconae’s life by Sashar’s son, Teroch. It stated that a memorial was to be held for Sashar and Zandro Erinos on the Ceremonial Burial Grounds, in an attempt to soothe the raging tension between the Erinos Clan and himself. His curt self-dismissal and attempted return was cut off by the teenaged son of Sashar’s second attempt at the Consul’s life. Back at the Ceremonial Grounds, it seemed that the Erinos had known about this all along. Blades were drawn and outright war looked ready to breakout between the three families of Arcona: d’Tana, Entar and Erinos. Sides were taken and everyone within the building were preparing to defend their respective families when former Grand Master, Darth Sarin, held everyone in Stasis until the Consul returned. Wuntila decided that, if the families wanted to fight, they would do it on his terms. He had, intentionally or not, just begun a new chapter in Arcona’s history: The Arconan Family Feud of 35 ABY had begun.
As the weeks passed, so too did the Consul’s wariness and lack of trust for the members of Arcona and even the Summit Guard. Unknown to anyone outside of the High Summit, a plan had been plotted to draw out Teroch Erinos and disable him with a toxin as the young Mandalorian had turned out to be a clone of Sashar Erinos. By the third week, the High Summit executed their plan by sending a holofeed all throughout the Citadel on Selen as Wuntila assaulted Soulfire’s Sergeant and threatened to remove body parts until Teroch showed his face. Despite his valient effort, Teroch fought fiercely but managed to escape once more. As Sashar’s son evaded the patrols tasked to find him, Darth Sarin brought forth evidence that Teroch wasn’t an actual clone. The Sith Lord eventually died from the toxin designed to kill clones and the Arconan Consul was nearly killed by his own naivety as well as his aides. His alcohol had been laced with a poison the gave the drinker severe flu-like symptoms and Teroch had left a note telling the Human/Theelin hybrid that he had ingested Synox.
It was later revealed that the ‘antidote’ had been the actual deadly poison. As Wuntila declared the Feud over, Teroch surrendered himself to the Summit Guard. The Consul left the area not long afterwards, but not before giving his subordinates the news that Quaestor Celahir Erinos had resigned from said position and that Aedile Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar had been elevated to it. Hence, the Aedile and Rollmaster positions within House Galeres were open to applicants, as Xathia Tugrina had resigned during the first week of the Feud. After several hours of intense thought, the Assassin wrote his own application and sent it in for consideration. As the battles within the ACC had been sanctioned, Celevon had been awarded two Clusters of Ice for his successful battles.
Changes In the Aftermath of War (35 ABY - 37 ABY)
Time passed quickly after the end of the GJWX. Before long, the Assassin had taken on an apprentice: a younger human who was known solely by the nickname of ‘Snabbie’. While training the Koros Majorian, the Sniper discovered the passion of teaching his skills to another. During this time, Celevon was approached with the opportunity of forming his own Battleteam. After accepting, it took several weeks before Spectre Cell was operational and taking on new members at a quick pace.
Before long, time had passed again and the Obelisk was promoted to the Equite ranks. Several months passed before the Onderonian decided the time had come for his Apprentice to undergo the Trials of the Knight. Snabbie’s skills were deemed ‘sufficient’ by the other members of the Summit, though the Koros Majorian had impressed his now Former Master.
For a little while, what resembled peace seemed to take hold of the Brotherhood until an embittered former Grand Master sought to reclaim the Iron Throne in a mixture of bio-weaponry and Fleet action, releasing a plague that decimated a large number of the Force Users...
For the Sniper, it started with the lack of his heightened senses that were further fortified with his connection to the Force. For several days, Celevon worked out and got more comfortable with using his old weaponry before he had begun to rely on the Force and his lightsaber, though he did notice a new strength that he had never felt before. Hardly a month prior to this, Celevon and Xathia were legally married in a private ceremony .
A symptom led the Assassin to attack the ProConsul of Arcona, Marick Arconae along with another member. The two, after being defeated by the Hapan, were heavily sedated until an alchemist named Macron Goura Sadow developed an inoculation that was spread in the exact same manner as the plague itself had been, though battles continued to wage as Zoraan’s forces fought on, despite their leader being defeated in a duel with Grand Master Muz Ashen.
Several weeks after being sedated, the Onderonian awoke on the Invicta and was handed paperwork as well as the better part of his gear, including a datapad with all of his files downloaded on their way to aid a fellow group of Force Users who were under heavy attack. Reading the paperwork, Celevon discovered that he was being transferred to House Plagueis, the very people they were being sent to aid.
The Sniper was aboard the Ascendancy when it made the jump to hyperspeed, the better part of the Brotherhood believing Plagueis to have been completely annihilated.
Rebuilding in the Dark Realm
Unbeknownst to everyone but the highest echelons of the Dark Council, House Plagueis was alive and well. To be more precise, the House was flourishing as they travelled the reaches of the galaxy. Working with Sith Arden Karn, Celevon co-founded the Battleteam named after the infamous Sith Lord who unleashed the Rakghoul Plague, Karness Muur. It was around this time that a reorganisation of Plagueis was occurring.
The power of the Dark Side in the planets the House visited began to corrupt even the most neutrally aligned members. They began to take on slaves and created a caste system, taking on more and more cruisers to fill with both unwilling and indentured servants. The structure began to build when a call went out: The time of the Dark Crusade had befallen the Brotherhood. The Grand Master had decided, with the approval of the Council, that it was time for the Brotherhood to begin their expansion, conquering a series of planets and systems.
At the current time, Plagueis has laid claim to Nfolgai and Khar Delba: the first a planet similar to what Coruscant once was, many millennia prior to it being a gigantic, bustling city. Nfolgai is also the burial site of Sith Sorcerer Sorzus Syn, who created the Muur Talisman (the amulet which the Sith Lord, Karness Muur, utilized to transform towns and settlements into the fiends known as Rakghouls). Khar Delba is a planet highly similar to Ilum and Hoth, full of deceptive cavernous pits, icy terrains and vast mountain ranges. In the history holos, it is mentioned in the battles between Sith Lords Naga Sadow and Ludo Kressh as the location of Sadow’s decoy citadel. The ruins of the actual base still remain on Khar Delba’s solitary moon, Khar Shian.
The Dark Crusade continued through the year 37 ABY, as the Dark Brotherhood continued to combat the remaining forces of the One Sith, retaking System by System as they attempted to succeed where so many others had failed: the eternal Empire.
Within House Plagueis, both the Quaestor and Aedile had been accused of Treason by the Deputy Grand Master, Raken. Neither had agreed with the idea and fled as the Assassin, along with Arturis Schulen and Silent took command of the Flagship. There were a series of battles between members of Plagueis, which had split into two factions: the Loyalists (those who believed Ronovi and Arden should remain leaders) and the Traditionalists, who believed that the Assassin had done as expected in order to try and pick of the pieces of the fractured Ascendant House. Within hours, Celevon had bolstered the morale and took on the responsibilities as Acting Quaestor. Several members were doubtful, as the Onderonian had been the Rollmaster (or Overseer, as the position had been called at the time within Plagueis) for a few short weeks. Others offered their support to the Assassin who had grabbed hold of the reins as soon as it was required to stop the house from falling apart.
Celevon managed to keep morale up and fought hard in the ensuing battles. During one of the final battles of the Dark Crusade, the Onderonian’s ship was destroyed. The Assassin was believed to have perished and somehow managed to escape prior to the detonation of the ship’s ruptured core. A few days after the Ascendant House claimed victory, the Onderonian turned in his resignation and decided that a break was in order. The newly appointed Dread Lord and Wrath (Quaestor and Aedile, respectively) accepted the Templar’s resignation after a smooth transition to leadership.
The Assassin was not seen nor heard from again for nearly four months. It is unknown where Celevon had been during this time, though speculation ran wild as more and more bodies turned up: Execution victims, assassinations and many others.
Reunion with the Shadow Clan (37 ABY - Present)
Xathia had disappeared in the two months prior to the Assassin’s return to Arcona. It was revealed that his wife had chosen to return to the Shadow Clan without consulting Celevon. As soon as the Onderonian heard this, he made his way back to the Dajorra System for the first time in over a year.
As soon as he entered the system, Celevon could sense that Xathia had died. Violently, at that. Saskia Ortega had passed the information of Xathia’s imminent return to the Quaestor of House Galeres, Cethgus Tiberius Entar Arconae, who then laid a trap which ended in the death of Celevon’s wife. Celevon himself is unaware of whom actually took the life of his wife, though he has suspicions. The moment the Assassin and Saskia met up on Selen, the two started fighting. Using his superior combat skills, Celevon disarmed Saskia and was only stopped from delivering a death blow by members of the Arconan Summit.
Once the Onderonian had sufficiently calmed down, he chose to return to the Shadesworn ranks. Within a week, Celevon had begun reforging old alliances and making new acquaintances. Not long before the Cythraul began falling ill, the Assassin was transferred into Battleteam Dark Forge and placed as Executive Officer under Commander Kordath Bleu d’Tana.
Consul Marick Arconae immediately gathered the others whose companions had begun to fall ill, including that of the son of Celevon’s former Master, to research and plan how to get their Cythraul back to good health. That plan came to fruition within a week. It had been called ‘Operation Sojourn’.
Operation: Sojourn
All of the Arconan Armed Forces were gathered without pause. The members were informed of the plans whilst they were en route to the Hapes Cluster. A certain plant that grew only in certain places within that system was needed to craft the cure.
The Assassin, along with the other members of Battleteam Dark Forge were left behind in space to guard the BAC ‘’Darkest Night’’ from possible invaders. This turned out to be a wise decision as one of the Elite Hapan Military units arrived within an hour following the Arconan Forces making landfall.
They were to separate every member of Dark Forge and eliminate them before taking control of the ship. This task ultimately failed, as the members were suspicious from the start. Kordath had ordered the Hapan Elites captured by the Guard and security forces aboard the ‘’Darkest Night’’. With the assistance of K'tana, the Onderonian systematically interrogated and executed every member of the boarding party.
The Consul had been forced to face his past and came out with new resolve. The plant had been gathered in mass and formulated into the cure. The Cythraul recovered with no ill effect. Kordath stepped down from his position as Commander of Dark Forge following these events. It was unsurprising to Celevon, as the d’Tana lacked a certain ruthlessness and was too much of a pacifist.
Within a week, Dark Jedi Knight Valkish Ebonvar had been appointed the new Commander of Dark Forge. With the new Commander was the familiar face of the Onderonian’s rival, Saskia Ortega.
Another month passed as the rivals continued their competitive behaviours, constantly trying to one-up the other no matter the subject. Then, without warning, the Assassin handed in his resignation as Executive Officer and was seen packing his things.
Less than two days later, the Onderonian was announced as the new Battleteam Leader of Shadow Phyle, having transferred from his home in Galeres to the other Arconan House named after the ancient Jedi turned Sith, Ulic Qel-droma.
A New Era
Coming Soon
Appearance
Celevon stands at an even six foot, and maintains an air of danger, or an unsettling presence to others. He has fair skin with a light tan, due to the fact that most of his activities occur at night. He has the sharp facial features of an aristocrat beneath a rough durasteel mask, with flowing shoulder-length midnight black hair, and piercing silver-grey eyes. Celevon has a thin, muscular frame, and though not bulky, he has very little fat on his body. Due to his extensive martial arts training, he walks with a feline-like grace that compliments his aristocratic features.
As far as identifying marks go, despite the light scars received from a hard life, his eyes are a rather unique shade of silver-grey, which look like molten silver when he is angered. He has received comments in the past that it feels as though he is peering into your very soul when he stares at you. He also has a scar that starts just above his right temple, and travels diagonally, before curving and ending under his right eye. Upon his return to Arcona, Celevon reappeared wearing a ballistics mask, so most of the identifying marks upon his face are now hidden from view. It was due to this head wound, many years earlier, that he suffers retrograde amnesia. His only other identifying mark is a tattoo on his upper right arm, in black, of a tribal wolf, made up of a number of different runes. He is also almost always clean shaven. The only jewelry he wears is the dog tags he was given within the AAC (Arcona Army Corps) and the silver wedding band on his left ring finger with celtic designs etched into the metal.
Psychological Profile
Due to the head injury and subsequent case of Retrograde Amnesia, Celevon has no moral background to fall back on. His mentor, Jakk’ed Tugrina, was an ex-soldier who trained Celevon during his teenage years in combat. He would also explain things to help the teenage Celevon get over guilt from a soldier or a warrior’s viewpoint. An unfortunate side-effect of this was that it further altered Celevon’s moral compass. The training led to him being particularly ruthless and cunning. After he killed a thief/murderer who had broken into the medical complex where he was staying, he felt guilt and remorse for his actions.
Both Jakk’ed and the authorities had explained to Celevon that it was a ‘just’ killing, as he did it to save a female doctor who the murderer had been threatening. Jakk’ed further explained about how, in war, he had to kill those who threatened his way of life or that of other people’s lives. And that he felt no remorse for eliminating those people. This further altered his moral capacity. It led to Celevon having a cold and calculating outlook on life. He values loyalty and friendship as much as other’s value their family. As far as he is concerned, family is the few people willing to fight and die beside you. Those who know him well enough get to see behind the blank façade he keeps up. Those he trusts are unsurprised to discover that he has a sarcastic, cynical and occasionally morbid sense of humor.
Celevon is a very military-oriented type of person. When the situation gets serious, he lets his typical snarky manner fall. If he’s in a formal or ceremonial situation, Celevon is cool and composed. While he dislikes formalities, the man also knows that such situations are needed at times. In combat situations, the assassin’s entire body becomes a weapon. He explained once to Talos how he imagines a furious storm of flames within his mind when he is fighting. How he pours all of his emotions and thoughts into the purging pyre. Sashar had been trying to break this habit Celevon has of disconnecting his emotions in combat situations to limited success.
Armory and Wardrobe
Weapons
Melee
Customized Katana
The Katana is measured at thirty-eight and a half inches overall. The sword is a full tang black finish twenty-five and an eighth inch blade with a heavy blood groove design. The sword’s original hardwood handle was replaced by a durasteel handle with a durasteel pommel and a wire wrapped grip. The entire blade and hilt is black, with the only silver spaces between the wrappings. Celevon was known to carry this blade on missions before his promotion to Dark Jedi Knight. During the time before the aforementioned promotion, he eschewed the tradition of wearing the weapon sheathed at his waist. Instead, he wore it where the sheath was on his back. The hilt of the blade rested on his left shoulder and could be easily drawn. The position made Celevon able to draw the blade and behead an unwary opponent in a single, fluid slice.
Customized Daggers
From pommel to the tip of the blade is an overall size of seven and a half inches. The blade itself is three and three quarter inches long. The partially serrated tanto point tactical blade is entirely black. The only visible glimmer of the blade is within the serrations. Celevon carries a number of these blades hidden on his body, whether in a combat situation or not. Some have commented in the past that he seems excessively paranoid, but usually either retracted those comments once they were seen in use, or were dead shortly thereafter. Celevon would rather have something and not need it, than need it and not have it.
VibroCombat Knife
A knife made for close quarters combat, either fighting against another enemy wielding a knife, or to quickly silence enemy sentries. It is an extremely effective offensive tool, with a razor-sharp edge. It has numerous other uses, besides killing enemies. Celevon carries this weapon on his person at all times.
Ranged
E-MMAR Mark II
The original ‘E-MMAR’, short for Erinos Miniature Magnetic Accelerator Rifle, was a sniper rifle created and designed in tandem by Teroch Erinos Arconae, the son of the Assassin’s former Master that was built for use by Battleteams Spectre Cell and Soulfire Strike Team. As the prototype of the weapon had always remained with Celevon, the Templar had requested a weapon crafter build a fully-functional model, using small improvements the Assassin had drawn into the schematics using a large portion of his remaining funds earned during his tenure as the BTL of Spectre Cell following his transfer to House Plagueis. The rifle remains in his quarters within a locked weapons case until such a time as the Onderonian has need of it.
SSK-7 Heavy Blaster Pistol
The SSK-7 Heavy Blaster Pistol was manufactured by the SoroSuub Corporation in the early days of the Galactic Empire.
The Rebel Alliance managed to acquire large quantities of these weapons just before Imperial edicts came about, making the purchase of such weapons illegal. Despite the legality of the weapon, Sashar made it a part of Soulfire's standard equipment after heavily upgrading it by blackening all of the surfaces of the weapon, modifying the trigger and grip guard, adding a removable silencer/muffler/flash suppressor, widening the clip loading bay and finally reducing the amount of pressure necessary to pull the trigger, allowing for an extremely fast ‘draw and fire’ time. Despite no longer being a member of Clan Arcona or Soulfire, Celevon still carries this sidearm, preferring it over other provided models.
Lightsaber
Celevon’s original Lightsaber was destroyed during the Tenth Great Jedi War. Immediately upon his return, he constructed a new Lightsaber in a different model than his original. It is not known why he chose this blade over the other model he had chosen before, though the current one bears a passing resemblance to the personal one used by Anakin Skywalker.
Attire
Robes
Celevon can be seen wearing a black or dark grey variant of the Jedi robes that were traditionally worn prior to the fall of the Old Republic and the rise of the Galactic Empire. Celevon had these robes tailored not long after joining the Dark Brotherhood. He customarily wears a black hooded cloak thrown over these robes. Upon his return to Arcona, the Assassin bore a durasteel ballistic mask.
Ballistic Mask
A full mask of durasteel that covers the Assassin's face. The lenses are covered with several layers of reflective material to make his eyes to appear as though they are glowing through the mask, though it's theatrical effect can prove a distraction in battle. It is unknown why the Onderonian had the mask added to his usual attire.
Combat
Hand-To-Hand Combat
The Obelisk, beyond the formal ones listed below, has his own style of martial arts known simply as ‘Wolf Tactics’. The original form of this combat style was created by J’akked Tugrina. The stance is virtually identical to that of Dulon, save the fact that the centre of balance rests in the waist rather than the shoulders. It can be identified by either the slow, powerful attacks that lead to a lightning-fast brutal strike or the fact that the Assassin delivers these blows with the flat of his palm, rather than a fist. Wolf Tactics has it’s own uses of daggers, which Celevon developed himself as he became a better assassin. Otherwise, it is a purely unarmed combat style. Damien Tugrina, late husband to Celevon’s wife Xathia, used this style in the years prior to his death.
The Onderonian attempted to teach Wolf Tactics during his tenure as Captain of Spectre Cell to the Battleteam Members without success. Although it has been debated, Celevon will not yet attempt to teach it to the other members of BKM. The Obelisk is now teaching the basic form of it to Arden Karn.
Formal Styles of Combat:
Kartranin
- Main article: Kartranin
The martial art known as Kartranin is a relatively recent invention, having been developed by the Murra Orders during the early years of the New Imperial Order. The art relies heavily on sword techniques, a departure from typical Imperial 'efficiency', but is a very aggressive and effective method of combat all the same.
The Murra Orders were charged with maintaining order among the Imperial ranks, their members drawn into the Orders for their uncompromising natures. Once there, they were instructed in many detailed arts, from espionage tactics to undercover workings as well as advanced combat maneuvers.
Kartranin's use of the sword is oddly enough, specifically implemented in largely non-lethal techniques, the Order's doctrine specifying that their captives be taken alive for further questioning. This is not to say that the art does not have lethal techniques, as situations can change drastically, so that the Murra Order agents would have to use their weapon to kill in order to survive the encounter.
The basic techniques of Kartranin are rather defensive, with the student learning basic maths and body mechanics, allowing for a Kartranin practitioner to know what angles an opponent is most likely to attack from, so that they can defend against it, while striking back in the most efficient way possible.
Kartranin is not a fluid art. The lightning quick motions must often change direction in a split second in order to safeguard the stylist from harm. The attacks are similarly dissonant, and a student of the art must possess a good degree of muscle strength to be able to control the momentum of his own body as well as that of a sword.
The basics of Kartranin are taught in several hobbyist academies across the Core worlds, taught by former Murra Order members.
Shyarn-Ado
- Main article: Shyarn-ado
Shyarn-ado has a long history with the Cerean people. This style was rare and complex, often involving a lifetime commitment to one’s master, brain, and chosen style. This ensured complete mastery of the form and responsible use of the techniques in theory
This complicated form was developed originally for wielders of the Shyarn blade. The blade is a curved, single edged sword with a gracefully rounded hilt and a slightly curved handgrip. These masterful exotic swords are made from extracted metals and minerals by the duty-bound Cereans. The weapons are attracted to other blades magnetically on occasion, and this makes for deadly and vibrant duels.
The Art has since spread to other races as the Cereans have spread across the known Galaxy as intellectual giants. The Cerean culture values sheer intelligence, and this style reflects their complex cultural origins. The draconian weapons were often used in duels of honor and status. The Body and the Blade became an intellectual status symbol and state of mind. As well, if you were weak you would rapidly be separated from your weapon and your existence on this plane. Stolen or lost weapons were often retrieved at any and all costs, as it was believed that their soul was inexorably linked to the weapon.
The attacks and parries used by these stylists involve flexibility, speed, and quick tactical thinking. Shyarn Stylists are known for acrobatic, precise, misleading and evasive attacks. Twisting strokes, complex parries, and even sweeping the blade across one’s body to reinforce the weak flesh or parry a wicked potent blow are accepted maneuvers. This style views the sword and body as a complete weapon, each reinforcing the other, each growing stronger through decades of study and tireless practice.
Unlike most Shyarn-ado stylists, Celevon doesn’t use the sword typical of the style. Instead, he favors his Katana (see above) which can be easily utilized in both styles of Melee Combat that Celevon is proficient in.
Lightsaber Combat
Form II: Makashi
Celevon chose the Duelist’s Form due to the fact that he would like encounter opponents using a lightsaber. After learning the basic maneuvers of this form, the Assassin sought out Clan Arcona’s Rollmaster Timeros Caesus Entar Arconae to train him in the effective use of the second form of Lightsaber Combat. The Krath Pontifex discontinued this training when Celevon proved to be skilled in the use of this form due to the fact that it was taking time away from his other varied duties. The Assassin has taken to sparring in this form with Obelisk Templar Kratus Vahillus at the urging of the ex-Pirate’s wife and newest member of Soulfire Strike Team, Krath Archpriest Xathia Vahillus, (now Xathia Edraven). Despite the slightly insane manner of the ex-pirate, the two have developed an odd friendship. And the fact that the two of them are each members of House Galeres’ rival Battleteams. This is likely due to the pair’s love of combat. A fast friendship developed between the two members of Soulfire during these sparring and training sessions. On the rare occasions where Xathia is not busy with her duties to the Brotherhood, the duo are seen training Celevon to duel against multiple opponents at the same time. This lasted up until before the GJW-X. Following this, Celevon and Xathia continued sparring, though with more frequency, continuing on until they were sparring daily, sometimes all out combat long before the pair were married. The Pirate and the Onderonian continued dueling against one another for fun, using all of the weapons in their arsenal, though that ended with their friendship in late 36ABY.
The Assassin discontinued his own training in this Form of Lightsaber Combat for the more defensive Form III, following the events of the Tenth Great Jedi War. As soon as the Assassin was promoted to Templar, he continued his studies in the Duelist's Form, steadily improving his skill under the tutelage of his half-sister, Xathia, who was discovered to be related to him by sharing the same father several months prior to the start of the Tenth Great Jedi War (later, repeated tests at another facility showed these results to be false). Once the Amnesiac was promoted to the Equite ranks, he began to relearn the Duelist's Form with a passion that surprised his sister, determined not to stop until he had improved to a 'decent' level of skill, though he intends to Master it as well before moving on to the Advanced Forms.
Form III: Soresu
Celevon expressed an interest in learning the defensive form of lightsaber combat while watching Sashar Arconae instruct Talos Erinos on the finer points of Soresu and Djem So when Celevon was still at the rank of Guardian. The two only taught him the stance and basic blocks utilized by the Soresu Adherant until after his promotion to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. He again approached the duo after the promotion to train him. They agreed and proceeded to train him in the use of the third form. By the time they deemed him skilled in using the form, Talos was mainly the one teaching Celevon while Sashar was either away assisting the Summit or merely supervising. At this point, Sashar instructed Celevon to approach him if the Assassin was ever interested in mastering the form. Knowing his master’s legendary reputation with the form, Celevon graciously thanked him for the offer and told the Elder that he would keep it in mind, though neither of them knew that the plans they had just made would never come to fruition.
With the death of his former Master at the end of the Tenth Great Jedi War, the Assassin would need to approach a different trainer to fulfill this plan, which he did. Upon his return, a new determination seemed to possess the Onderonian, and he drilled with the trainers within Clan Arcona until he had mastered the Defensive Form III.
