"Only one of us shall leave here today..."
―Anubis Annedu

Anubis Annedu, also refered to as Anbu, is currently a Dark Jedi Knight residing in House Satal Keto of Clan Plagueis. Currently holding the rank of First Lieutenant in the Clan Plagueis Armed Forces, He is a Lorrdian fluent in the ability of kinetic communication and is able to interpret the body language from sentients, determining their intentions or mood. The Ketoan was born on Dantooine and raised on Corellia by his parents, and joined the New Jedi Order shortly before falling to the call of the Dark Side. A former Battle-Team Leader of Hex, Rollmaster and Envoy of House Qel-Droma, as well as a former Assistant Envoy of House Ludo Kressh, Anubis has seen much of the Brotherhood, and has been a part of both the Sith and Obelisk orders twice.

In 31 ABY, after the spilling of Brotherhood blood on the surface of Antei in the campaign to retake the planet from the clutches of the droid army led by the Jedi Master Crask, Anubis applied to be Aedile of his house, Satal Keto, though didn't quite make it. Instead, he was given the position of Quaestor's Hand, the direct advisor to the Ketoan Quaestor.

Character History

Regular Life

"It seems he has inherited your eyes, Karen."
Don Annedu, upon the birth of his son

Anubis Annedu was born on the planet of Dantooine, the son of Lorrdians Don and Karen Annedu. Not soon after having their child, the two Lorrdians moved to the planet of Corellia, hoping to keep him away from a farmers life.

Like all the other kids, he went to a learning institution on order to get his education. When he told others that he was a Lorrdian, a race of near humans, he was laughed at and teased because his features didn't resemble that of the Lorrd-habitants. At the age of twelve, he had become so fed up with one of the children that had been teasing him that he attacked him, going so far as to smash his head off of the ground repeatedly until the other boy had become unconscious and bleeding.

The Lorrdian was expelled from the institution and his parents charged since he was underage. Unable to gain acceptance into any other of the schools for two years, he had to be home-schooled until a time as he could continue his proper education. He returned to regular schooling at the age of fifteen, many of the kids that he knew three years ago remembering exactly what he had done to one of their own.

He lived a normal life until he turned the age of sixteen, when he began to have nightmares of horrible things such as death and destruction of people he cared about. At first he didn't consult his parents on the matter, believing it to be an ordinary stage in his Lorrdian life. After three weeks of continuous nightmares, he brought it to the attention of his parents. They were unable to determine the cause of the nightmares from his mood and his body language, which was unusual, so they contacted a New Republic doctor on the situation.

The three traveled to the rich planet of Coruscant to visit the doctor, who requested five hundred credits payment in advance for a check-up. Don and Karen grudgingly agreed, just wanting to know what was happening to their only child. The physican took a blood sample, and had the three of them return a day later. When the doctor read the results, he seemed slightly puzzled. He consulted his records, locating a file with a similar blood sample. Both contained a high midi-chlorian count for his species, which if the man was right, indicated that Anubis was a Force Sensitive being.

The New Republic doctor gave them no explanation as to what was happening, as he didn't know himself. He told the three that there was nothing that he could do about it, and told them that there was something happening on the fourth moon of Yavin which might help them in their investigation into their sons nightmares.

Journey Into the Force

"You must learn to let go if you are to succeed, my apprentice."
Dorogo Fen, shortly after meeting Anubis

Before leaving Coruscant, an unfortunate accident occurred. Both Don and Karen Annedu were stabbed to death while returning to the rented hotel room, leaving their son alone on the planet. They left their son a sum of twelve thousand credits, which is all he needed to get started.

Not soon after his parents death, did the Annedu become a hired gun. He started working as muscle for a small crime lord, learning the operation of blaster weapons, variations, and the sort. He completed numerous jobs for his boss, until he left the job several months later and dissapeared. His nightmares returned soon afterwords. He remembered the New Republic doctor he had visited several months ago had said that something was happening on Yavin IV, and used the amount of credits he had made during his time as a mercenary to pay for his passage to the planet.

File:Lightsaber by goldtiger142003.jpg

On arrival, he discovered that nearly everybody had a cylindrical object attached to their belts, and were wearing a light set of armor, or a pair of robes. After approaching one of the residents, he became aware that this was the headquarters of the New Jedi Order. He asked if he could speak to somebody in charge, and was brought before a junior council comprised of three Jedi Knights.

The Lorrdian told him about his nightmares, and how he wished to be finally rid of them. The three Jedi conversed with one another through the use of the Force, and decided that they would accept him into training to end the nightmares, as long as he were to let go of everything that had happened in the recent months, such as the death of his parents, and the death that he inflicted upon as a mercenary.

Anubis agreed without a second thought, and became a student at the academy. He was given a master named Dorogo Fen, as well as a training lightsaber, which would only sting instead of actually cut something until he was skilled enough to construct his own and use it wisely. The Annedu's nightmares disappeared for a time, finally leaving him to some piece, and rest.

He was making some good progress in his training, while he lacked in other fields. Five years after he had first been taken as a student at the academy, he was close to being Knighted. He had built a unique lightsaber, which featured an also unique focusing crystal which gave off an orange blade. Later, he and his master were sent on a mission to Coronet City, where the Padawan had been raised as a child. They were sent to look for a suspected leader of a pirate cell, who had reportedly been planning the assassination of key figureheads. Disobeying the wishes of his master, he returned to the old boarded up home his parents had owned to gather some possessions of his parents.

When the young Jedi's master found out about the action, he removed the items from his Padawan. He feared that trying to reconnect with his parents would cause the nightmares and especially the anger, he had been experiencing to return, and he knew how hard it was on the Lorrdian from the connection they had formed during their time as master and apprentice.

Anubis would have none of it however, stating that if he wanted to reconnect with his parents and in turn possibly cause the nightmares to return, it was his problem and his problem alone. There was nothing to be done to stop him. In a fit of rage, he tried knocking his master out cold so that he could take the items back into his ownership, but was unsuccessful in his task.

Instead, he was knocked out. The two returned to the academy on Yavin IV, their mission unsuccessful thanks to the actions of the young Padawan. The three Jedi Knights that accepted him into the order called him back into the small chambers he had first visited when he arrived, and told him that his actions were completely unacceptable and punishable.

Anubis insisted that he have ownership of his parent's possessions and assets, claiming that as their son, he was the rightful owner. The junior council meditated upon the Padawan's actions, and decided that he was to be reprimanded for acting in a fit of rage and attacking his master, though he was not to be reprimanded too harshly for his actions. Furious that he was being reprimanded to begin with, the Lorrdian claimed that the Jedi Order had no sense of honor.

He continued to boast the wrongful actions and mistakes of the original Jedi Order, haven read all about the fall of Darth Vader and countless other Jedi to the Dark Side of the Force. He was reprimanded further, and his lightsaber was to be taken from him. Refusing to give up his weapon, he packed his things and resigned from the New Jedi Order.

Traveling and Mercenary Work

"Look at you...to have fallen so far from the path of light.."
Dorogo Fen, after defeating Anubis in a duel

Anubis wandered the galaxy for a few more years, finding whatever work he was able to, when he was able to. He became proficient at repairing and flying starfighters, as well as smuggling. At one point, he returned to his past occupation of a mercenary, working for warlords that were all vying for power on some system or another. Whenever somebody would ask about his lightsaber, he would claim that he had taken it off of the body of a dead Jedi Knight.

As one of his first assignments as muscle for one of the more prominent huts, Annedu was assigned to track down and bring a man named Dorogo Fen to his employer, alive or dead. It took the Lorrdian a while to realize it, but he later realized that Dorogo Fen was his old master during his time with the New Jedi Order. Seeing it as a chance to bring the old master to justice for ruining his chance at reconnecting with his now long deceased parents, the eager man set out to capture Fen.

Though it took some time, Anubis eventually located the Jedi Master hiding in his very own homestead on Corellia. Furious as to why the old man would return to his parent's house, the mercenary quickly engaged his former master in a lightsaber duel.

The duel ended quickly, with Annedu defeated and on his knees in front of the man he once called master. Dorogo referred to him as a failure, and took his lightsaber. He left his former pupil with his shame, leaving Corellia. Anubis, after recovering from the wounds that had been inflicted to his arms and legs, left as well. He returned back to his employer, and declared that he had killed Fen in a lightsaber duel.

Even though he was only given half the payment for the bounty, since the body was never returned as it was supposed to be, the former Jedi accepted that he had only been given half and moved on. He had other jobs as muscle, protecting one of his employers or assassinating somebody when ordered to.

Twice, he had tapped into the Force while trying to protect his most recent employer, a Black Sun Vigo to whom he did not know the name, and was payed not to know. Three assassination attempts had been brought down on the pirate, and twice the Lorrdian had successfully protected the man, failing on the third attempt. Not too soon afterwords, he stole an abundance of credits from the dead Vigo's personal credit accounts and returned his parent's homestead on Corellia back to it's former glory, giving it a full restoration.

Dark Jedi Brotherhood History

"I have nothing...I am nothing..."
Anubis Annedu, after arriving at the Shadow Academy

Anubis arrived on the Shadow Academy grounds, which was on the Antei orbiting moon of Lyspair, in mid-26 ABY. He was nothing more then a shattered and broken soul, and wore tore rags as clothing. He had a series of cuts and bruises on his arms and legs, which he had earned on the long trek across the moon to the academy. He was accepted into the Dark Brotherhood as a hopeful, and after showing some of the potential he had, was accepted into the ranks as an Initiate.

The only task he had left to complete before earning the rank apprentice and be clanned, was passing the Test of Lore. This exam had a time span of a few days time, which would allow the Lorrdian to recover from the journey. After five days had passed, the exam was complete. He had passed it, and had a clan chosen for him. He looked for the right transport in the hanger, and found the one he was supposed to board. He was assigned to Clan Taldryan.

Shattering War; Defeat of Antei

"Antei shall fall..."
Unknown

The Annedu arrived on the forest planet of Taruma, the home of House Ektrosis and where the Ektrosis Temple was located. He was welcomed into the house by Obelisk Quaestor Hel-Pa Sklib and Krath Aedile Vodo Biask. Not soon after arriving, he was assigned by Krath Rollmaster Alanna Taldrya to be the un-official student of her assistant, Vardar.

Vardar provided a large variety of insight onto what was happening within the clan, as well as the standards that were expected of him. Several days after his arrival into his new life, at the awarding ceremony of the last Right of Supremecy, the Yuuzhan Vong let their presence be known to the galaxy, and declared war on the brotherhood.

The Annedu was aboard the Dark Prophet when the space battle began, Vong coral skippers and brotherhood fighters streaking across the darkness of space. When they turned their forces on the Dark Prophet, Anubis knew that he had to defend the ship. He aided several other young members of Taldryan fight one of the alien warriors, trying to protect one of the hanger bay doors which led to the rest of the vessel from being over-run.

When an evacuation order was called from the bridge, Anubis was the last one that wanted to leave. He was dedicated to protecting the forces of his allies from danger, but knew that sooner or later he was going to die.

A power conduit erupted in a fireball, creating an explosion which annihilated the Annedu's right arm and left him incapacitated. While unconscious, he was dragged aboard a small transport by a fellow clan member, who didn't see fit to let one of their own go out in such a way. The craft almost immediately lifted into the air once the doors were closed, and left the Dark Prophet just before the decompression of the ship began.

The transport barely managed to make it to the Katarn, and Anubis was transferred to the med-bay immediately. He underwent a minor surgery for a prosthetic limb, which would later be modified by the Lorrdian to his own design.

When he recovered, the Sith discovered were he was, and how he had survived the destruction of the Prophet. He took a few hours to take in the information, and returned to active duty. Instead of returning under the banner of Ektrosis, he returned to duty under the banner of Archanis, another house in Taldryan. His job was to aid fellow Archanis member Itachi Uchiha in trying to repair as much of the vessel as they could, though their limits were stretched.

When the Braata Option came into effect soon after Antei fell to the Yuuzhan Vong, Clan Taldryan respectively returned to the Kr'Tal System. Not soon afterwords, Anubis borrowed one of the clan's few remaining starfighters and left the system.

Invasion of Orian

"The True Brotherhood is nothing but an imitation."
Unknown

After leaving Clan Taldryan, the Lorrdian had nowhere to go. He took up residence on the Covenant, where the bulk of Clan Naga Sadow had been currently stationed. The clan was returning to the Orian System, which had been their home for years. When they entered the system, they detected another capital ship within the region.

After preforming a scan, they determined that it was a Victory-class Star Destroyer. At first, they didn't know who to place the blame upon, until they received word from the planets below that the True Brotherhood had taken the system as their own, as well as control of the governing planets. Doing the only thing sensible, Clan Naga Sadow launched an attack, hoping to regain control of the Orian system.

Anubis had a few roles during the Invasion, the apprentice of House Ludo Kressh Quaestor Ashia Keibatsu. One of his more prominent roles, was helping lead the assault on True Brotherhood forces during the Battle of Tarthos, with fellow Sadowites Nero Pennant and Shuang Long.

While leading the Sadow side of the conflict with his two friends, an incident happened. Nero had been using the lightsaber given to him by his master, Trevarus Sadow, and accidentally struck the left leg of the Lorrdian.

The Annedu had to sit out of the fighting for a while, while he had a low-quality prosthetic replacement attached. Afterwords, he returned to the battlefield in an attempt to continue aiding his allies. The Battle of Tarthos ended a half an hour afterwords, when Trevarus Caerick seized control of the True Brotherhood's Imperial-class Star Destroyer, the Dark Fusion, and the impostors surrendered.

Exile

"You are no longer welcome here, fool"
Clan Naga Sadow

Clan Naga Sadow reclaimed the Orian System and the lives of the Sadowites returned to normal. Anubis, however, changed. During a conversation with his master, Ashia Keibatsu Sadow, in front of a large portion of the clan the Lorrdian disrespected the Quaestor using vulgar and inappropriate language shamelessly. He also had gotten into a fight with another member of the clan, Tash. He had struck the fellow Sadowite, and left the area immediately.

It wasn't until later that night that he realized what he had done. Feeling a wave of disappointment and guilt towards himself, he went into self-exile. He left without saying a word to anybody, leaving behind no evidence that would suggest that he had been there. His quarters were completely cleaned up and he had left no trace at the docking authority of when he departed. He just disappeared.

After he had exiled himself, Anubis returned to the home his parents had owned while still alive. He hadn't been there since he was a Jedi Padawan and when he stepped on the premises he remembered that day clearly. Again, he felt a wave of guilt flow over himself.

He shut himself out from the galaxy and remained at the Annedu homestead most of the time. He walked the few acres of land every few days, seeing what had changed and comparing it to what he had remembered from his time there years ago. The Annedu remained in exile for six months before taking it upon himself to rejoin the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. He didn't return to Clan Naga Sadow however.

Feud of Galeres & Qel-Droma

"You're a madman, master"
Anubis Annedu, speaking to Quejo Drakai

The Lorrdian returned to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood as a member of House Qel-Droma, a house in Clan Arcona. Anubis was assigned House Qel-Droma Quaestor Quejo Drakai as a master. Quejo was a former House Marka Ragnos Quaestor that he had met during his time in Clan Naga Sadow, and had really never gotten the chance to meet. The first week that he was a member of the less prominent house, Clan Envoy Rho d'Tana assigned him as House Envoy and Rollmaster of Qel-Droma.

The Sith took the positions without any words of disbelief, and worked hard at his job. He welcomed several new members into the house, getting them started on their trials to Dark Jedi Knight. He too worked on the same trials, hoping to gain the rank soon, himself.

Arcona was at peace for nearly two months, before something drastically dangerous to the clan happened, that would pit both houses against each other. Quejo learned of Jedi presence on the space station orbiting the core-world of Eclipse, and wished to eliminate them from existence. He used his status of Quaestor to convince Qel-Dromans that the Jedi must be exterminated.

The Sith prepared to launch his attack, confiding in the Consul, Mejas Doto, and Proconsul, Sashar Arconae, in a request for forces. He was denied by the two clan leaders, and told that if he were to pursue his need to have the Jedi exterminated, then he would be stopped.

Quejo refused to listen, and prepared to launch an assault anyways. He used the forces he already had control of to do so, using the Shadow and it's compliment. Furious, the Arconan summit sent House Galeres Quaestor Zandro Erinos to bring the estranged Qel-Droman Quaestor before them. He accepted his task as the task of Galeres without any hesitation, and set out to ruin the life of the Qel-Droma leader.

While all of this was happening, Anubis was at his master's side the entire way. He aided in the persuasion of the house, as well as helping the Xyler prepare for the attack. When the fighting began, the Lorrdian wasn't sure anymore if what they were doing was the right thing. Following his instincts however, he remained loyal to House Qel-Droma.

The Sith's last mission during the feud was to board the Darkest Night as an ally, and sabotage the Blue Mist fighter craft that were stored aboard. Of course, he did as he was told. When he first arrived aboard the Bothan-class Attack Cruiser, the crew - and his Galerian friends - didn't know if they could trust in him or not.

After a few hours, they became aware that he was completely calm, which meant that he couldn't have anything up his sleeves, as it just wasn't like him. They were wrong, as when they left him alone for several minutes, he slipped into the hanger of the cruiser and cutting different lines on each of the fighters that they used. He kept one of the fighters intact however, as it was his means of escape.

As he was cutting the last line, a member of the docking crew saw him. They instantly reported the incident over the com-link to all security staff and Dark Jedi, causing the Annedu to have to run for it. He quickly jumped into the fighter he had left in-tact, and took off.

Five Blue Mist team members each jumped into starfighters, and tried to chase after him. Three of the starfighters wouldn't work, as their power lines had been cut. On another, the wires which controlled the flight controls was cut, and on the final fighter, the oxygen line had been cut. With the oxygen line cut, the second that the fighter left the safety of the hanger and passed through the magnetized field, his starfighter decompressed and his life ended without any breathable air.

Knowing what he had done was the right thing to have done, the Sith returned back to the Shadow and reported to his master that the mission was a success. For his actions to aid Qel-Droma, Quejo awarded his apprentice with the title of Disciple of Qel-Droma. It was an honorific title, which symbolized that he, along with Debric d'Tana, were among the elite of the house. After the feud had finished, and Quejo admitted defeat, the Lorrdian felt the need to return back to where his journey down the Dark Side had first really began, Clan Taldryan. He returned to the Ektrosis Temple on Taruma.

Return to Taldryan

"I have returned home."
Anubis Annedu, after landing in the Ektrosis Temple

After returning to House Ektrosis, the Annedu was welcomed back into the house by the two leaders he had been under the influence of when he first left, Hel-Pa Sklib and Vodo Biask. He was greeted by many others, and took a set of temporary guest quarters on the east side of the temple. Anubis only stayed in that set of quarters for a single night, learning the next day that he had been chosen by the summit to lead the Battle Team he had first started in, Hex.

The Ektrosian gladly took the position, and was moved to a set of quarters with a small office attached. He made himself at home, and got acquainted with everybody in his team. A few of the members, he already knew. Others, he did not.

After two months time, he had firmly set himself in as the new Tetrarch and was putting the team through training exercises. He had seen the way that Arcona's famous Soulfire Strike Team had trained, and based his exercises off of theirs. He put them through a few different tests, determining if they were better off being pilots, shock troops, or tactical adivsors. Everyone was true to their order.

File:WolfsFangSithYellow.gif

Another three and a half months passed, and there was no action for the team. They began to slack off slightly, fully aware that they hadn't seen action in months. Realizing this himself, Anubis too began to slack off. When Vodo resigned as Aedile of House Ektrosis and Taigikori Aybara took the mantle, tensions between the summit and the Lorrdian began to form. Arguments began to break out, sometimes for no apparent reason. Neither side wanted to be calm about the situation.

The same week that Taigikori took Vodo's place, Anubis recieved a holo-vid from long time friend Alaris Jinn. The message contained nothing more then friendly discussion about how he was doing. Two weeks later, after marking just over his sixth month back in Taldryan, the Ektrosian made his last decision as a Taldryanite.

War of Ascension

"By order of Supreme Commander Braecen Kaeth, I hereby command you to stand down your forces and surrender the throne of Morroth peacefully."
Alex d'Tana, right before the Invasion of Morroth

The Sith left House Ektrosis and Taruma, locating the Victory-class star destroyer Ballista while it was en-route to the Jusadih System and ended up with the forces of Clan Plagueis. He was assigned a lesser then prominent roll during the Invasion of Morroth, forced to stay on the Ballista in case reinforcements were required. He was given the rank of First Lieutenant, and kept a small strike team ready in case there was a need for back-up. Unfortunately for him, Clan Plagueis forces didn't require a any reinforcements for the Invasion of Morroth to be a success..

Anubis was absent for both the Invasions of Aerun and Nintura, as well as the First Battle of Kapsina, having randomly dissapeard from communications with his clan, house, and friends. He went on a mission to find himself, traveling to such planets as Iridonia, Telos, Corellia, and Dantooine in order to do so.

The Jedi Hunter was in a different state of mind, and even traveled once to Coruscant, which was being terraformed into Yuuzhan'tar. He went to watch the city change, which was viewed later as a large mistake. The Lorrdian was captured by Yuuzhan Vong forces on his way back to the Jusadih System, and was held captive. When he made his escape in one of the Vong's own Coralskippers, he returned to his quest.

File:Anubis1.jpg

It was during this small exile that Annedu refurbished his set of armour worn by Sith shock troopers during Revan's Sith Empire, as well as got tattoos over his entire body, much resembling those of Sith designs. When he finally returned to Clan Plagueis and Kapsina, many people had wondered what happened to him. He dismissed their claims of searching for power and wealth, knowing that he just needed some time away.

Though his exile was extremely short, he learned that a lot had changed. He was approached by the Consul, Braecen Kaeth, to design the next Jusadih Army. He was advised to use the Imperial Army as a template for the new legion of soldiers, and did as he was requested. When the design had been finished, he was given the rank of Dark Jedi Knight and the right to train in the three beginners forms of lightsaber combat, Shii-Cho, Makashi, and Soresu. Seeing the larger potential in Shii-Cho, he began studying the form intensively.

During the Second Battle of Kapsina, Anubis remained on the Perdition, making sure that it was properly delivering power to the Omicron Platform. Though the Sith would have much rather prefered being on board the Ballista at the time, he was quite content with where he was. He oversaw the power transfers, as well as the battle from the bridge of the Perdition.

The Lorrdian watched The Baron become rippled with blaster fire from the Crimson Tide's own Star Destroyer, the Nemisis. He witnessed the Ballista launch it's surprise attack from behind Kapsina's only moon, and a torrent of starfighters launch from it's hanger bays. When the Tide fleet began it's retreat into hyperspace, the Atrum Pars II activated it's gravity well generators, preventing any retreat.

He watched the Nemisis explode from the torrent of turbolaser fire that blasted it apart bit by bit, and was glad that only one final battle remained before the Jusadih System was returned to the full control of Clan Plagueis. With the Crimson Tide fleet that had exited hyperspace just an hour before wiped out, or nearly wiped out, Anubis took a starfighter back to the Ballista in order to congraduate his fellow comrades in their excellent work.

"Welcome home, Sarin."
―Crask, sitting upon the Iron Throne while in a transmission with Darth Sarin

When the Clans of the Dark Brotherhood returned home to Antei, they discovered something they thought impossible. The Yuuzhan Vong fleet had been decimated, with only a few dead analogs still floating through the Shroud when the fleets of the Brotherhood arrived at their home. A cluster of Jedi, led by an Jedi Master older then the Clone Wars, had occupied the planet and it's temples with their army of Confederate droids.

Sarin was displeased that a Jedi had taken up his seat on the Iron Throne, and sent the Dark Jedi of the Six Clans down to the planet with his own army, to remove the Light presence from the Dark planet. Anubis accompanied his brethren, mainly staying with their camps as they fortified a position. Upon discovering that the droids had been armed with anti-Jedi weaponry such as flechette launchers, Anubis always had a squad of troopers with him for protection.

Clan Plagueis received several orders from the Grand Master on what their objectives were, the clan striving to accomplish each before the other clans had, to prove their worth to the former Plagueian. They accomplished most of their goals, but at the expense of losing many men in battle. Thanks to Clan Tarentum, the clan was able to safely land on the planet in the first place.

Many battles were fought on the surface of the planet, and then things started to change once reports came in the squad were being obliterated, and their Dark Jedi being captured by the Jedi and droid adversaries. This drove the Clans of the Dark Brotherhood to work harder, to remove Crask from his seat on the Iron Throne.

Annedu accompanied his clan into a few of the battles, not recieving too bad of injuries for most of them. Near the end of the conflict, forces from Clan Plaguies and the Army of the Iron Throne were cornered near the Temple of Bellseph. When a report that droid reinforcements were on their way reached the ears of Alaris Jinn, Prelare and Proconsul of Plagueis, he ordered the immediate movement of all nearby forces into the temple.

File:OverlordYellow.jpg

Having to run through the enemy forces in order to get to the temple, many were lost in their attempt to get to relative safety and avoid being subject to an air strike via vulture droids. Unfortunately, before he made it inside the temple's safety, the Ketoan was shot at his left side with a flechette launcher. His left forearm prosthetic, as well as one of the DC-15s Regenerative Side Arms he carried, were mangled and unusable. Knocked unconscious from the blast, the Knight also dropped his lightsaber.

Just barely rescued by the former Proconsul of the clan, Yzarc, Anubis was given immediate medical attention to remove the left over shrapnel, and sent on his way without his armor, which he later recovered and was forced to modify due to a new prosthetic. Having set up a defensive position inside the temple, the Dark Jedi fended off all that they could while they waited for Brotherhood reinforcements to arrive. Sure enough they did, and saved the others from extinction.

Rescued by fellow Dark Jedi, AT-AT walkers, and soldiers from the Throne, those that still lived within the temple helped their brethren hunt down any remaining droids that still lurked on the planets surface, bringing the war against Omancor Crask and his droid army to a close. The Jedi Master's body, along with that of the Grand Master, were found in the wreckage of the Exodus, a small cruiser that had crashed into the planets surface.

Returning Home

Once they had finished on Antei, the Plagueis fleet returned to their home in the Jusadih System, continuing the reconstruction efforts started before the second Antei conflict. Several different leaders rose and fell to power in Plagueis, some still retaining their positions to this day. Braecen Kaeth left the position of Consul, leaving it to his trusted deputy Alaris Jinn, who was awarded the clan honorific of di'Plagia, to take the reigns. And old foggy, by the name of Arion Sunrider, took up the position of Proconsul, to fill his shoes. He fell out of power not too soon after, and the Ketoan Quaestor, and friend to Anubis, Vivackus Kavon quickly became his successor, leaving his trusted master and friend Kal Vorrac in charge of Satal Keto. Applications were opened to succeed Kal as the new Aedile for the House, and many applied.

Anubis was one of those many. Though he was not chosen to be Aedile, Annedu was given the task of being the Quaestor's Hand - his personal assistant and advisor. The Lorrdian took the position wholeheartedly, watching Dark Jedi Knight Cassandra El'Sin and Fang At take the reigns as Aedile and Battleteam Leader. The Ketoan wasn't informed until later that his trusted friend, Sanguinius, had taken up an Arconan offer to be the Aedile of the house he himself had been Rollmaster of during his time in the Clan - House Qel-Droma. Confused as to why the fellow Knight had done this, Anubis vowed to retrieve this information however he could.

For the most part, life seemed to return back to normal. Anubis had started the training process for the Clan's army, and began spending most of his time on Sigil 2, when not in the prescence of his Quaestor. He had to supervise the first training sessions to ensure that they were up to par with both his, and the standards set forth to him by the former Consul Braecen Kaeth, before he was able to entrust it into the military command on Sigil 2. He enduted a lot during that time, never finding the time to contact his former friend and find out exactly why he had left Plagueis.

Personality & Traits

Anubis is a joker. Whenever he sees the chance, he'll crack a joke or use immense sarcasm. Though this is usually frowned upon by some of his superiors, the Knight sees it as a chance to relax and have some fun. While in the presence of superiors, the Lorrdian will try his best to keep his jokes and sarcasm to a minimum. An adequate tactician as well as an average fighter, the Ketoan strives to give his tactical advice to any superiors where he feels it is needed, as well as take down anybody he believes he is able to.

Having trained extensively in the lightsaber art of Form II, otherwise known as Makashi, Anubis uses this lightsaber art with better proficiency then most Knights. Using his type two lightsaber, he holds it in a reversed grip. He strikes at an average pace, usually delivering three sharp attacks and backing off, before launching another two at his opponent. Sometimes during saber combat, the Plagueian will switch the grip in order to better defend himself from attack from adversaries.

Strength's & Impediments

Kinetic Communication

Anubis was trained in the art of kinetic communication by his parents before their death, and it is almost like a tradition of the Lorrdian race to teach their children this art, so that they may be better prepared for life and will be able to tell when danger is a foot. The Ketoan has adequate knowledge of his species silent art, his training from his parents left incomplete when they died. The Sith has the ability to tell if somebody standing within his range of vision is lying him, as well as determine if they are in distress and anger. Though as not proficient in this ability as other members of his race, he plans on making a trip to the planet of Lorrd, a planet in the outer regions of known space and home to the Lorrdian race, in order to fully understand his culture as well as finish mastering kinetic communication.

Telekinetic Abilities

Having trained with Clan Naga Sadow extensively, Anubis has become adept for a Journeyman at the art of Telekinesis. He has better concentration when preforming abilities associated with this power, and displays a greater affinity when displaying his telekinetic skills. When Anubis left Naga Sadow, he continued his telekinesis training on his own, and mastered all that his body would allow him. He hopes that when he advances in the brotherhood, his proficiency in this art will continue to grow as well and he will continue to be a strong telekinetic user.

Force Deficiency

Due to a lack of training in shielding his mind as well as preforming mundane tasks with the use of it, Annedu has developed a deficiency and finds it a large challenge to intrude into the minds of others, as well as even return communication through the use of telepathy, although he is still able to receive telepathic communication without any trouble. The Plagueian is unable to install fear in an adversaries mind, boost their morale, as well as any other Force-related abilities that may be associated with the use of a strong mind.

Left Forearm

When Anubis lost his left forearm on a mission which the specifics were lost, he sought to have it replaced. He constructed a black-plated durasteel replacement, and left the Clan Naga Sadow surgeons to do install it. During the procedure, a small mistake was made and when the arm became operational, it would give a slight twitch at random times. Because of this, it makes the skill of wielding two blaster pistols at the same time much harder, because when the small twitch occurs, the prosthetic will automatically release the object. Instead of having this problem corrected, Anubis has decided to keep it as a reminder that even the most skilled of surgeons can mess up at some point.

Possesions

Custom Armor

Anubis' armor is the only thing that sets him apart from the rest of the Dark Jedi in the Brotherhood. Fascinated with Darth Revan's Sith Empire, the Plagueian went out of his way, by far, to acquire a 'relic' and rusted set of the average Sith Trooper armor that dated back to the empire. He stripped it of everything, from plating to the armor mesh, purchasing parts for the new suit. Having hired an armorer to replicate the rusted plating, the man was paid to recreate the original armor's plating using a back titanium alloy.

Once the plating had been finished and the armorer payed for his services, the Ketoan took over the process and began installing and programming the new parts that he had acquired for the new suit. After choosing the helmet as a starting place, he fitted it with a full Multi-Frequency Target Acquisition System (MFTAS), which was purchased off of the Black Market in secret at a reasonable price. Once he had finished the installation of the MFTAS, the Knight went about installing a datapad into the helmet, which would serve as the armor's computer. The Sith had locked himself into his quarters for this task, preferring total silence except the noises from his work to keep himself focused on his armor.

With most of the helmet's advanced systems in place, he installed the usual systems; voice recognition system to accept his commands for the different gadgets that his armor used, advanced air filtration system, DH-107 Comlink, and he gave a slight upgrade to the sensors of the MFTAS, trying to increase their range. When the helmet was fully complete, Anubis made sure that it was all placed together properly before moving to the limbs and torso. The right forearm of the armor was fitted with a custom cybernetic interface, which would allow his armor to interface with his cybernetic right arm. The right forearm also had a built in Holo-Projector, with a little bit of stealth padding included on the arm.

The left arm was different, featuring no electronic components, but having been fitted with stealth padding as well. With the two arms done on his armor, the Lorrdian went about completing the suit; working on the legs and torso. All three parts of the armor were given a little bit of stealth padding, and underneth the plating for both the legs torso, were the kinetic power cells which powered the armor. With some parts being custom designed by Anubis, the didn't cost as much as they would have if he had bought them from a retailer.

DC-15s Regenerative Side Arms

"The DC-15s side arm isn't my favorite weapon, but it never runs outta ammo, and that counts for something in a firefight"
RC-1207

Anubis carries around a set of twin DC-15s side arm blasters around with him, in the two holsters attached to the belt of his armor. The DC-15S blasters were produced by the large corporation BlasTech Industries for the Grand Army of the Republic, which is also refered to as the "clone army". The pistols come in handy, providing a steady flow of fire when the Lorrdian needs it most.

These blasters weren't as powerful as the full version, the DC-15S blaster carbine, but they recharged at a steady and even rate. The DC-15s pistols can fire a maximum of several rounds a second, and featured the look of a slug thrower for easier concealment and holstering. The Annedu acquired the two blasters after the completion of his armor in late 29 ABY.

Lightsaber

When Darth Sarin announced that members of the Dark Brotherhood ranked Protector and above could wield a stock lightsaber named the Armoury Saber Anubis was one of the first to trade in his training saber and grab one of the new lightsabers available to him. He chose one with a red blade, to show his fealty to the Sith Order.

When the Lorrdian reached Knighthood, he returned the Armoury Saber and constructed his own hilt, using plans from one of the Herald's designs as a guide through it's assembly. Instead of using a red, treated Adgean crystal like the traditional Sith did in the building of their blades, the Plaugeian chose a different path. Following the color of his warbanner, he located a crystal that emitted an acid-yellow blade when activated. After testing the lightsaber to make sure that it functioned correctly, Anubis had it inspected. When the inspection was complete, the Sith attached the polished hilt of the weapon to his belt.

Nearly a month later, new designs and plans were released for specific orders. Anubis had access to three designs, all of which were made exclusively for the Sith Order of the Dark Brotherhood. He chose the hilt that he thought matched him best, and began construction of the hilt. Using the same Adgean focusing crystal as he had in his first lightsaber, this one would emit a yellow blade when the activation switch was pushed. Using titanium alloy which was stained and polished to a black color, the Lorrdian constructed the hilt within no time. It too was inspected to be sure that it functioned properly, and passed.

During the Brotherhood's assault on Antei in 30 ABY to reclaim their homeworld, they encountered a Jedi Master with several apprentices and his droid army. Unfortunately losing his lightsaber in the conflict, Anubis was forced to build a new lightsaber, to which he also used an Adegan crystal that would produce an acid yellow blade. Having used the specifications for the Overlord model made out by the Herald, Anubis felt satisfied that he hadn't lost touch in his abilites to build a lightsaber.

Warbanner

When Anubis became a Dark Jedi Knight, new warbanner options became available to him. He customized it to his personally liking, and ordered it from the office of the Herald, Shikyo Keibatsu. Within a few days, it was delivered to his exact specification to his room. He hung it on the wall, the Plagueis crest standing out strong against the acid-yellow color.

Speeder Bike

Anubis, during his time in Plagueis, also aquired a custom speeder bike, which was stolen on the planet Denon, a large corporated planet, galactic hub, and the next-in-line replacement for Coruscant. The bike as two known weapons; simple blaster cannons that slide out from the engine block from the slides and lock in place and can be retracted or released with a push of a button.

File:Falcon.jpg

It has a maximun speed of nearly seven hundred and a half kilometers an hour, just over one and a half times that of a 74-Z, though it shares the same flight ceiling as the military craft. Painted a bright yellow orange, the seat is set to mold to the pilot of the craft, with a non-slide material in order to keep the pilot in the seat, rather then flying out of it. The bike has several gears, and jumps to it's maximum speed in very little time.

The bike has a built in com-link, which can be used ro make short transmissions when on the move, with it's range limited to twenty five kilometers. Both the designer and manufacturer of this custom craft are unkown to Anubis; it is possible that it was a prototype and was going to see production.
