One of the first to bear the name Tarentae and the Consul who led Clan Tarentum through the Exodus, Ciara Maya Tearnan Rothwell Tarentae returned to Yridia in 36 ABY after a long absence from Brotherhood space to find the only Clan she'd ever served disavowed and abandoned. Learning from a remnant of Tarenti at The Sword's Sheath that Tarentum had fallen to the fanatic Collective, Ciara rallied her former clansmen to join the Brotherhood's assault on the faction's Meridian Prime space station.
Energized by the taste of vengeance but hungry for more, the Tarentae sought a way forward with the fleet-bound Clan Naga Sadow, an old ally who had themselves been forced from their home system during the Collective's assault on the Brotherhood's clans.
