Battlemaster Ashura (aka "Ashura Isradia"), more commonly known by his public identity as Deputy Governor General Alector Isradia, was born on Nox Alpha Two (Melachon) in the Nox System. His mother and father were from Nox Alpha Three (Vardor), however. Orphaned by a cruel twist of fate on Melachon, Alector was later adopted by Korvalis Isradia of the Melachon Isradias unaware of who he truly was. As a noble Alector would rather use his intelligence and social skills instead of direct confrontation to outwit his foes.
This Dark Jedi Consular was trained in the use of Vardorian magic from a young age before ever learning about the Force as the Jedi and Sith know it. Ashura possesses a natural affinity for the Dark Side due to the strong Dark Side presence on his homeworld. But it was his dreams that led him to join the Dark Jedi Brotherhood
More recently, following the Eighth Great Jedi War, and various other conflicts, Ashura replaced Trevarus Caerick as Quaestor of House Marka Ragnos, and after serving a successful tenure was appointed to the position of Proconsul within Clan Naga Sadow
Biography
It was during the Ascension Wars that Illyana Isradia became pregnant with the unborn child of Jonaleth Isradia. What had been a beautiful romance then they were young had turned into a living nightmare for the woman, Illyana had hoped marrying Jonaleth would sooth his anger; how wrong she had been. Disturbed by her husband’s actions during the war, Isradia's wife committed suicide unaware she was carrying his child; if she did then perhaps events that Jonaleth caused to Vardor may never had happened?
The embryo was extracted from Illyana's womb and quickly placed into first available surrogate (a bondswoman by the name of Miya Konden). Seeing how consumed and enraged Isradia had become with the war, his trusted aid Erin decided not to tell him about the unborn child until after his victory. This would be a mistake Erin would have to bare until the day he died.
Miya was taken offworld and went into hiding on Melachon and after nine long months she gave birth to baby boy whom was named after her great-grandfather, Alector, who had been a famous Vardorian poet. However there were complication after child birth and Miya unfortunately died; seeing how the infant had no mother or father (that they knew of), the doctors decided to report the baby died also. Upon hearing this Erin decided to wipe all records of Illyana's child ever existing. Alector Isradia was orphaned on Melachon upon the conclusion of the Ascension Wars: a world now controlled by the Grand Duke of Vardor… his father.
The baby was fortunate enough to inherit Miya Konden's Bondsman status and was adopted into the Imperial House on Melachon. The little boy was liked by many members of the Melachon Isradias, however it would be Korvalis Isradia (the Grand Duke’s greatest warrior in the Ascension Wars) who befriended and later adopted Alector to become his son. As a noble of the Iperion Alector was taught diplomacy, history, sword fighting and hand-to-hand combat, as well as instructed in use of Vardorian magic by his adopted father and other members of the Melachon Isradias.
Korvalis was made Panarch of Tol Mustanen by Erin, the Vardorian warrior had shown over the years the ability to command, this ability was put to better use on Vardor. Because of his relationship with Viscount of Tol Mustanen, Alector was allowed to become the Dane of Tol Mustanen. Ever since arriving at the ancient capital of Vardor, Alector began to have strange dreams about the Rose Goddess. The boy chalked it up to living in the birthplace of the Iperion, and it was just his unconscious mind playing tricks on him. The dream was the same every night and he would always wake up with it being incomplete, however. After a while the Dane began to wonder if there was something more to this dream but decided not to tell his adopted father about it: Korvalis had to deal with increased tension with Minor House Lutah whose lands boarded with Tol Mustanen.
Lady of Beauty and Passion
- "There once was a maiden sleeping and as she slept and dreamed she beheld a steep and verdant hill. And around her the flaming anguish of suffering and so she descended to the hilltop to bask the huddled masses in her mercy and her solace, her beauty and her love. And thereupon the cold, suffering, downtrodden people saw her glorious mantle and at once knew passion. This passion they might have forgotten but for her beloved she left a single alabaster flower. And when the windswept flower was held aloft it's soft golden light burned away the dark ones, the Nightshades and the maiden's people saw their eternal predators wither and at once knew sanctuary."
- ―The High Priestess Aechemaa's saga of the Rose Goddess, Act 1, Scene 4
It was after reading Aechemaa's Saga at the age of ten that the dreams started to make a little more sense: the High Priestess story told the life and death of the Vardorians Lady of Beauty and Passion, and it had been the chapter on her death and where he eternal body laid that mirrored Alector’s dreams: every night he would fall asleep and the dream began the same.
The Dane would find himself walking barefoot through a massive, cavernous complex that culminates in a majestic funeral bier atop a raised dais of palest marble. There was also this somber, silent, yet majestic decay with a holistic air of a dead time; it sent a shiver down his spine ever time.
The craggy walls of the cave systems were etched for miles with a heavy runic script predating even ancient Mardorin. Beyond all common recollection or contemporary scholarship this runic alphabet was the basis, the very cornerstone of the most ancient Vardorian magic. Knowledge of this gift of the Rose Goddess herself, an enigmatic, long-dead language.
As what always happened in the dream, Alector recited the incantations on the hallowed walls as he wandered into the slumbering depths, the lined halls giving way to a massive mausoleum with crumbling statues erected in dedication to the infinite glory and wisdom of the Rose Goddess, and as the he approached the edifice, the burial sanctuary, his presence sent ripples through the crystalline ether of the Force, reverberating from the very funeral bier of the Lady of Beauty and Passion.
Alector's recollection of the events of the incantation’s culmination was always a hazy blur, due to the dreamy landscape of the surreal, ethereal burial chamber. The sarcophagus was built on an ancient and massive stone archway, itself the focal apparatus of an unspeakably ancient hypergate. It was at this point that Alector always woke up, but tonight after years of the dream ending at this point, it didn’t, and he kept on dreaming.
The crumbling anchor, imbued with the very essence of the Force, had welled up and suffused the entirety of the repository in its quantum energy. These energies caused the last vestiges of the old hypergate's relativistic shielding to collapse, melting away and bathing Alector in streams of quantum energies.
In that moment Alector saw the Grand Duke of Vardor, Jonaleth Isradia, standing next to the sarcophagus holding the legendary Rose of Millions, a tiny holocron-like device which encapsulated accumulated knowledge of countless generations of priests in the service of the Rose Goddess, and beckoning the young man to join him.
In all the years leading up to this moment Alector never dreamed of seeing something as true beautiful as what he saw in this dream that night. Sadly it would also be the last dream as well, as from that night on only haunted images plagued his unconscious mind. All these years and the dream was gone, however Alector finally understood why, he had to make what he saw a reality, and for that he needed Jonaleth Isradia.
Joining the Brotherhood
- "The strength of the dark side lies with the power of the individual. The Force comes from within. You must learn to draw on it yourself. I will not always be there to teach you."
- ―Darth Bane to his apprentice
Alector finally told his adopted father about the dreams and the latest one involving the Grand Duke. Korvalis told Duke Erin Isradia, Exarch of the Imperial House. Erin had never met the lad, although he had heard a lot about the adopted son of Korvalis, but upon his first meeting with the Dane he saw that the son of Illyana Isradia was alive and well. In secret he told Korvalis the truth about Alector: it was no surprise to see the Viscount shocked to learn that little boy he adopted was the lost son of Jonaleth Isradia.
Erin and Korvalis decided not to tell Alector the truth about his biological father, the young man was going to meet him soon enough as he seemed adamant to talk to the Grand Duke about his dream. Jonaleth wasn’t on Vardor, however. The Dark Side Adept was had been spending a lot of time with the Brotherhood of the Dark Jedi. The Dane of Tol Mustanen decided to needed to travel offworld and go to this “Dark Brotherhood”, even if it meant he had to become a Dark Jedi. As he set off Erin gave the young Isradia a datapad to give to the Grand Duke saying it was for “his eyes only”.
Arriving on the moon Lyspair of Antei, the Initiate joined the Dark Jedi Brotherhood and began his training to Apprentice. Alector had chosen the Order of the Sith due to thier interesting history, he found it all very fascinating. Being the dedicated student he was Isradia began to learn within the four towers of the academy: In the Khar Shian tower he was instructed on the basics of holonet usage, protection against computer security breaches, and leadership skills. It was in the Deneba tower that Alector learned about the lore and philosophy of the Dark Side. The Onderon tower was by far Alector’s favorite as he learned about tactics and flight relating to the Sith Order. Time after time Alector would return to his bed after a long day at the Karana tower, exhausted from lightsaber training (using training sabers) and hand-to-hand combat. Upon passing the Test of Lore Alector was promoted to the rank of Apprentice; his graduation from the Shadow Academy meant he was about to join the Clan the Grand Duke was a member of.
He joined Clan Plagueis just after it was created from the ashes of two dying Clan's. Apprentice Isradia set about finding the Tharchion of the Imperial House, however this proved more of a challenge then he originally thought. Whilst he searched for information about Isradia's whereabouts, Alector slowly advanced through the ranks and began to make himself at home within Clan Plagueis; little did he know that curious sapphire blue eyes were watching him ever since he arrived.
Jonaleth Isradia was aware Korvalis adopted son had been looking for him; although he had never met the boy the Dark Adept had once seen Alector in a recent dream and this disturbed him slightly. Isradia could sense a connection with the teenager, there was something about Alector's green eyes as if he'd seen them before. The Grand Duke decided to send Cipher to investigate and make contact with the young Isradia. The Kaleesh/Vurk hybrid, whom Alector knew to be the Zolarch of the Imperial House, informed him that Jonaleth had sent her to train the Guardian as part of the Clan's Master/Student Program. In reality this was just a convenient way for the Krath Priestess to get close and learn more about Dane of Tol Mustanen.
Being the Vardorian Noble he was, Alector would always address Cipher by her title and position within the Iperion rather than her rank in the Dark Brotherhood. It was whilst he was under her tutorage that Alector met Ethran Isradia, and it wasn't long before they became best friends, brothers-in-arms and train together. He even regarded Cipher more as a big sister/guardian than a teacher; this was something he couldn’t explain as she felt more like family than anything else. The Priestess relayed what she learned about Alector to her Master and Isradia began to put some of the pieces together. He decided it was finally time to meet Alector and learn the truth about who the boy really was.
Heir to the Ageless Throne
- "To touch the heavens and see the face of the divine, to plumb the forgotten depths and challenge the galaxy for the truth."
- ―Y’usan Orellius, Orellian Philosopher
The Grand Duke of Vardor was able to peer into Alector and see the truth standing before him… his second son by Illyana. Isradia read the datapad Erin had given to Alector to give to him; he learned the truth about Illyana's pregnancy and how after her death the unborn child was placed into a surrogate. He learned how Erin thought the child had died with the Bondswoman, how the doctors (who Erin had executed after finding out Alector was Jonaleth's son) falsified the report of his death, and how for years Erin had kept the secret from Jonaleth as he believed the child to be dead.
The green eyes of Illyana stared at the Dark Side Adept as he revealed the truth to Alector; he was the lost son of the Grand Duke, and the heir to the Ageless Throne of Vardor. The truth sent shockwaves through Iperion and Imperial House. As much as he loved his adopted father, Alector’s dreams had been leading him here and to learn the truth. Cipher and Ethran were just as shocked as Alector was to learn the truth.
The Krath Adept helped Cipher in the final stages of Alector’s Knighthood, Isradia pushed his son in his training, he wanted to see what the teenager was capable of and what he needed to learn, the Dane has a great responsibility placed on him. There was this energy about their Master that Cipher, Ethran and many other Isradias (brought into the family from the Brotherhood) had never seen before. It was rumored that many left (or turned) on the family because of Alector’s blossoming relationship with his biological father.
It wasn't long before Alector passed the Clan's requirements for Knighthood and promoted to the rank of Knight, after the ceremony he returned to Vardor to take his place in the Iperion as Heir (which has previously held by Braecen). The newly Marquis was given Paranchship of Besh Haras, a town surrounded by northern grasslands of Edeth’Torant that looked out to the Dawnshadow mountains. This was Alector’s first true test of leadership.
It was while on Vardor that Marquis of Besh Haras met Bondswoman Isabelle Lutah. Isabelle was a former member of Minor House Lutah, but after a failed attack by the Minor House on Tol Mustanen, she was captured by Korvalis and was offered a choice: defect or die. The Baron of Tol Mustanen (as he had become thanks to the Grand Duke) sensed potential in the young woman (and something else he couldn’t explain), it seemed a shame to waste this potential by kill her which was why he offered her the choice. Being the cunning young lady she was, Lutah chose the latter, giving up her titled and defected to the Imperial House as Bondswoman; it also helped that she didn’t want to die too.
Although Isabelle would never admit it there was chemistry between her and Alector when they first met, so when the Marquis began to court her, Lutah began to see advantages being in a relation with the next possible Grand Duke (being the tactical woman she was). However the sex and romance blossomed quite unexpectedly (for her atleast) into proper relationship; for the two of them Isabelle's defection seemed like destiny for the two of them to meet, and to fall in love. Although not everyone was happy about this relationship (various people in House Isradia and House Lutah who wont be named).
Change it seemed was inevitable, as much as Erin's betrayal of Isradia's trust. If the Grand Duke had known from the beginning about Alector's existence then he would have had a son long before now, and he held Erin responsible for this. As much to reason with his old friend, Erin would meet his end at Isradia’s hands. As if history repeated itself, Jonaleth said he understood Erin’s betrayal, and then with the slow, precise, malign hatred the Dark Adept was known for, he killed Erin with his sword. He then appointed Korvalis a Duke and Exarch of the Imperial House.
Birth of "Ashura"
- "He will rename himself"
- ―First line of the Prophecy of the Sith
The Marquis of Besh Haras after a few years back on Vardor wanted to get involved once more with the Dark Brotherhood; his father had been a member for years and held quite a legacy due to him helping to create the Clan once known as Exar Kun. Alector also knew he could learn more about the Dark Side, the Sith, and countless more whilst with a Clan. He was unlike most Dark Jedi as he never turned to the Dark Side, he was born to it. After a lot of think he decided not to rejoin Clan Plagueis but join Clan Arcona instead. He wanted to expand himself within a new Clan, new surroundings and challenges.
He would eventually replace his friend Odin as Aedile of House Oriens Obscurum, and it was here that his first test of his leadership skills became apparent. It wasn't long before Alector left the Journeymen class for the Equite class, as he was promoted to the rank of Sith Warrior. Although the young man wasn’t a typical Sith, he did decide to commit himself to the Order more. To do this he looked at the Prophecy of the Sith for clues, and the very first line made him smile. True he wasn’t a Darth, but Warrior felt a true Sith didn’t need to become a Sith Lord to have a Sith name (although you needed that for it to truly be recognized).
Alector put much thought into a name he would be forever called, he knew people would still call him by his birth name (especially on his homeworld and in the Plagueis), and he accepted that. His Sith name would represent what he was becoming. Being an Arconan helped as he looked to the Clan’s motto: Light is limited; Darkness is infinite.. It was clear his new name would have to represent the Dark Side.
Being a Vardorian, he felt his name should also mean something in the Mardorin, in fact his mind drifted back to the dreams he had for years and the ancient Mardorin on the walls. Although that version of the language had not been used in thousands of years, Alector felt it important to use it. Upon meditating for hours to receive a clear enough picture; he walked the controlled vision and was draw to makura na hiruma; ashura (which translated into BASIC was “darkness at noon; eclipse”).
Eclipse: which simply meant “cease to exist” or “absent”, darkness is infinite, and this brought a profound realism on what it meant to be a Dark Jedi. Ashura was a Sith name that Alector felt proud and honored to adopted. He was Ashura… the Eclipse of the Dark Side, Ashura Isradia, until a time he could truly use his name as a Lord of the Sith (although realistically he sights on becoming a Sith Warlord).
Ashura would end up leaving Arcona some time after Selene disappeared in Tarentum space, and Odin leaving to find out what happened to her. Isradia deciding to leave the Clan also tied in with him wanting to spare Arcona the shame that was about to befall him.
Justice and Redemption
- "Without strife, your victory has no meaning. Without strife, you do not advance. Without strife, there is only stagnation"
- ―Yuthura Ban
Life is imperfect and as result no-one is perfect no matter how hard they try or believe they are, be it a Corellian smuggler who dumps his cargo at the first sign of Imperial ships, or Jedi Knight who falls to the Dark Side to save his beloved wife from death. The same can be said for Ashura, as past mistakes are brought to light. The Vardorian found himself charged by the Chamber of Justice for something he had done whilst a Journeyman. Ashura was shocked to learn of his mistake and held himself accountable and took responsibility into his own hands.
His trial was overseen by the Justicar personally (who at that time was Dark Jedi Master Kir Katarn). Upon being found guilty he took the burden of what he done to heart, no punishment the Justicar could give would even compare to the punishment Ashura bestowed upon himself. Being a man of noble upbringing, Ashura saw the shame he had brought upon his old Clan, Plagueis, and went into voluntary exile, never to return to the Clan until he had redeemed himself. The Rogue Dark Jedi wandered from place to place; it led him to joining Clan Tarentum but after a few weeks his wandering continued. It was during this time he rescued a teenage Force-user by the name of Sakura from the EHDB. He trained her for a while in hopes to redeem himself a little.
Ashura spent a lot of time thinking on his mistake and about his future with the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. He came very close to leaving the Brotherhood and returning to Vardor forever, but an encounter with Ashia Keibatsu and Macron Goura led the Sith Warrior to joining Clan Naga Sadow. Isradia decided this was this last chance at redemption, a chance to really learn from his mistakes and become someone within the Brotherhood.
As a member of House Ludo Kressh, Ashura set out to once again show his talents and it wasn't long before he was appointed Clan Envoy. The Sith Warrior was driven by an insatiable lust that fuelled the Dark Side within. Redemption became a driving focus for the Sith, it changed Ashura in ways he never thought possible, and so too would war.
A month after he joined the Clan that the Yuuzhan Vong attacked Antei and the Eighth Great Jedi War started. Clan Naga Sadow and rest of the Clans in the Brotherhood had been at Antei at the time: this had been a tactical strike by the Far Outsiders, and it resulted in Antei falling to them. Naga Sadow also received a lot of causalities (although Ashura wasn’t one of them). The Knight Class Envoy of Naga Sadow fought hard and had to resort to deeds he never dreamed of doing (e.g. setting off the fire suppression systems on the Wandering Soul sending many crew and young Dark Jedi to their death with most of the Vong warriors onboard).
War in some way helped Ashura mend the hole in his heart on what he had done, he would never forget his mistake but through the strife of the war he felt he was redeeming himself. Redemption at a price of millions of lives, of endless suffering and death, Yuthura Ban had been right after all.
Disciple of Sadow
- "A rare few have a natural affinity for the dark side itself. They can delve into the depths of the Force and summon arcane energies to twist and warp the world around them. They can invoke the ancient rituals of the Sith; they can conjure power and unleash terrible spells and dark magics."
- ―Darth Bane
Upon fleeing Antei and returning to the Orian system, the Clan had to deal with the True Brotherhood threat that had taken over. Ashura was able to play a minor role in helping the Clan defeated the false Brotherhood, as such was awarded the rank of Senior Commander (a rank within the Special Operations department; a cover for the Dark Jedi to get involved more in the Corporation). Commander Isradia was also appointed Commissar on the Star Destroyer Harbinger.
As Clan Envoy, Ashura excelled at his duties (even if the Society of Envoys were in thier waning days). The Warrior took up the vacant position within House Marka Ragnos; he became the Sith Commander of Ravana Squadron so to get the training team back into shape. It was this among his other duties that earned Ashura the status of Knight First Class by the Knight Commander of the Brotherhood (in agreement with his Clan Summit). However that was just the beginning.
Trevarus Sadow was appointed Quaestor after the last one went AWOL, and it was Ashura who was to become the Dark Jedi Master's Aedile. This was the highlight of the young man's career, working with the Oracle much like his father had done years before. It was a golden time for the House, but it was hard work, although Ashura welcomed it on top of his Envoy duties. Trevarus became an inspiration for him (so his eventual betrayal would wound Ashura). It wasn't long after becoming Aedile that Ashura was promoted to the rank of Sith Battlemaster
However this team wasn't destined to last as Trevarus was appointed Consul for the second time. Ashura replaced him as Quaestor and began to really get involved with the Dlarit Corporation and the Disciples of Ragnos. Knowing the Society of Envoys wasn't soon to close, Ashura retired as Clan Envoy but kept the title of Knight First Class.
After months leading House Marka Ragnos on his own, the Battlemaster selected Faeril Munlear (a former Envoy of his) as Aedile. The Knight showed potential and Ashura wanted to her reach it. It was at this point Ashura was studying Darth Bane's Rule of Two and he decided to incorporate it for the House Summit: one to embody the power (Quaestor), and the other to crave it (Aedile). Faeril would later leave House Marka Ragnos and become Quaestor of House Ludo Kressh; Alexander Anderson would replace her as Aedile.
Ashura became close friends with many members of the Clan, including the Atemas. However after Jade was wounded by her husband, Ylith, and sent to him by her brother-in-law, Tyren. Isradia decided to help Knight tap her potential like he was doing with Faeril. Knowing from personal experience, the Quaestor made his Battleteam Leader endure hardship as Yuthura Ban's teaching about strife would help Jade grow. In the end Jade unlocked her potential and reached Equite status with the rank of Priestess.
It was also around this point that he became an agent of the Iron Throne in the form as Magistrate to the Grand Master. The Battlemaster’s assignments from the Dark Lord of the Sith were always classified, and the Sith never spoke of what he done, apart from saying it was a true privilege to do what he did for Darth Sarin.
Betrayal and Revelation
- "He will ruin those who deny justice, He will choose the fate of the weak"
- ―Second and third lines of the Prophecy of the Sith
For months Ashura had been getting a “bad feeling” as if something was amiss within the Clan, something hidden, out of side. He decided to ask Sakura to be his “eyes” and “ears” on the Harbinger. The girl was not part of the Dark Brotherhood and her cover was maintained as a Subcommander in D-SOG.
Events within the Clan had slowly been leading up to something ever since the arrival of Grand Master Paladin. The Battle of Telos, the assistance Clan Naga Sadow gave to Clan Arcona when their home system was taken over by the Yuuzhan Vong. It was all pieces in a grand puzzle.
The truth about Dark Jedi Master Trevarus Caerick was finally revealed for what it was. It seemed that Trevarus and his apprentice, Darth Vexatus, planned to go to Lehon and gain the Heart of the Force to receive ultimate power, and take over the galaxy. To the Clan it simply meant one thing and one thing only: Trevarus and Vexatus had betrayed their Clan and the Brotherhood at whole. Everything anyone ever knew about that was a lie.
Fortune would smile upon Ashura as he and rest of the Clan plotted to stop a man everyone had looked up too and respected, especially him. Trevarus had taken the Harbinger, the same Star Destroyer that months before Sakura had been placed on posing as a Sub-Lieutenant. Although she was able to slow the duo down she was inevitably captured and tortured by Vexatus.
As the Clan arrived at Lehon to stop the two Elders, Ashura, feeling Sakura’s pain, made his way from the Final Way to the Harbinger to save her before anyone could stop him. He expected to find the two Lords of the Force aboard, but found Trev’s seneschal, Eosara Goratis. Trevarus and Vexatus had already departed for the surface of Lehon so it seemed Eosara would have to be brought to justice in his master's place, or so how Ashura believed.
The two of them dueled and although Eosara wasn't a Force-user, he was stronger and better trained than Ashura. In fact the hulk of a man had been enhanced and trained by Trevarus to kill Dark Jedi. Eosara landed a heavy blow that seriously wounded Ashura; he would have even killed the Quaestor if Ashura hadn’t sacrificed his custom made lightsaber to explode (which Goratis wasn’t aware of when he caught it after the Battlemaster threw it at him). Eosara wounded fled and left Ashura to die of his injuries. It seemed that Sakura was actually the one who saved Ashura, as she was able to get help. Saving his life made her even with him and after that she left his service and joined Clan Naga Sadow
The extent of Ashura's injuries kept him from active duty; he still couldn’t believe how easily he was beaten, as if all his training meant nothing. It was enough for him to rethink a few things. The Marquis remembered what the quasi-religious belief system his father used, and how this One Path was able to eliminate weakness by focusing on each one until they were no more. Ashura spent the time healing from is wounds by studying this and learning the truth within the power of its words. When he returned to active duty Ashura had a whole new way of thinking, this would in fact serve the Clan well as he was soon appointed Proconsul.
The Clan Overlord had temporary assumed the post of Proconsul to help bring stability, the Clan had somewhat healed from the betrayal of the two Sons of Sadow for Ashura to assist Ashia with the running of the Clan. Darth Vexatus was now dead, as most assumed to believe, and so was Trevarus (as the Ascended Dragon, Shan Long replaced the Krath Master completely).
The new Proconsul was entitled to pick any DAC available to serve as his Adjutant; Isradia settled on the clone known as Delta-2 (aka Major Besh) due to his outstanding service record. With all his time now being spent on Sepros, Ashura's apprentice had to be shuffled about from her home on Tarthos to come to the Temple of Sorrow to still receive her training. However Ashura wasn't going to leave his apprentice unprotected, he assigned Delta-10 (aka Lieutenant Jenth) as Aleho's Ruoxf close protection officer; the young Togruta was still just a Dark Jedi in-training. The Battlemaster eventually took an older apprentice, a Miralukan Guardian by the name of Joseph Skirata, and assigned Jenth the task of training Joseph whilst on Tarthos; the Miraluka was part of the Obelisk Order making the clone the best choice to train him in all manner of weapons and combat techniques. Skirata had to travel with Ruoxf to Sepros to receive his training in the Force.

Motivated by previous events in his life, Ashura seeks to redeem himself for past mistakes in order to make up for it and quell the inner turmoil. He also tends to seek out the unjust and make them accountable for their actions. More recently Ashura seeks new knowledge and means to grow stronger to face his enemies and defeat them. This has led him studying the two fundamental teachings of the One Path: True Ascension cannot be achieved unless all parts of a being are both one, and strong. AND Power is defined as "the ability to do or act" and "the possession of control or command.
To this end Ashura follows the tenets of the One Path:
- Be one in Mind, Body and Spirit.
- Always seek new experience, adversity and knowledge, for in those things we grow.
- Hone your weaknesses and strengths, that the whole may be greater than the parts.
- Know yourself, your strengths and weaknesses and all that you are, and do not be blinded by pride, fear or ignorance.
- We are merely a sum of our experiences. All that makes us, defines us.
The Marquis appears to others as being formal, just, honest and well educated. He is what you call a hopeless romantic and very faithful to the people he trusts. Ashura will also often pursue something with lustful determination regardless where it would lead. When interacting with others he maintains his noble upbringing and sticks to titles, ranks and surnames; unless in private where such formalities can be dropped. He was taught to behave respectfully to everyone, and expects the same treatment in return. Ever vigilant, Ashura is not one to let things slip by.
He is also unlike most Sith and not stereotyped. For one his lightsaber is blue and not red, and his attitude is more geared towards peace then war, good than evil (even though Alector is a natural Darksider). Being a Dark Jedi Consular, he primarily uses the Force to crush his enemies as opposed to using lightsabers. He also has different philosophical views about the Force then Jedi and Sith do; this is mainly because on his homeworld the Force is known as "magic" and has a mystical feel to it.
Ashura has many Sith Lord role models he looks up too. Darth Sidious and Darth Bane being the historical ones he researched. As well as Sarin, Paladin and Tron Sadow being Sith Lords within the Dark Brotherhood. Inspired by Palpatine's tactics, Ashura prefers to use his birth name within the Dlarit Corporation in order to establish his duel identity as a Sith.

Trivia
- This version of Ashura is different then the family canon version.
