- ―Anubis Annedu
Anubis Annedu, also refered to as Anbu, is currently a Dark Jedi Knight residing in House Satal Keto of Clan Plagueis. He is a Lorrdian, fluent in the ability of kinetic communication and is able to interpret the body language from sentients, determining their intentions or mood. The Ketoan was born on Dantooine and raised on Corellia, and joined the New Jedi Order shortly before falling to the call of the Dark Side. A former Battle-Team Leader of Hex, Rollmaster and Envoy of House Qel-Droma, as well as a former Assistant Envoy of House Ludo Kressh, Anubis has seen much of the Brotherhood, and has been a part of both the Sith and Obelisk orders twice.
Character History
Regular Life
Anubis Annedu was born on the planet of Dantooine, the son of Lorrdians Don and Karen Annedu. Not soon after having their child, the two Lorrdians moved to the planet of Corellia. The boy was taught the Lorrdian language of kinetic communication from a very young age, being fluent in it at the age of twelve.
He went to a local institution for schooling, but was still taught his races culture and history at home. He learned to fly a freighter after just turning sixteen, having the limited ability to predict what he was supposed to do next, and execute it. His first job was a test pilot for the famous Corellian Engineering Corporation, five standard months after his sixteenth birthday.
He lived a full life until the age of eighteen, when he began to have nightmares of horrible things. At first he didn't consult his parents on the matter, believing it to be an ordinary stage in his Lorrdian life. After three weeks of continuous nightmares, he brought it to the attention of his parents. They were unable to determine the cause of the nightmares from his mood and his body language, so they contacted a New Republic doctor on the situation.
The three traveled to the rich planet of Coruscant to visit the doctor, who requested five hundred credits payment in advance for a check-up. Don and Karen grudgingly agreed, just wanting to know what was happening to their only child. The physican took a blood sample, and had the three of them return a day later. When the doctor read the results, he seemed slightly puzzled. He consulted his records, locating a file with a similar blood sample. Both contained high midi-chlorian counts, which if the man was right, indicated that Anubis was a Force Sensitive being.
The New Republic doctor gave them no explanation as to what was happening, as he didn't know himself. He told the three that there was nothing that he could do about it, and told them that there was something happening on the [fourth moon of Yavin which might help them in their investigation into their sons nightmares.
Journey Into the Force
Before leaving Coruscant, an unfortunate accident occurred. Both Don and Karen Annedu were stabbed to death while returning to the rented hotel room, leaving their son alone on the planet. They left their son a sum of twelve thousand credits, which is all he needed to get started.
Being that he was away from Corellia, Anubis was unable to do his job of being a test pilot for the Corellian Engineering Company. Contacting them from Coruscant, he gave them his resignation and set out for a new profession.
Not soon after his parents death, did the Annedu become a hired gun. He started working as muscle for a small crime lord, learning the operation of blaster weapons, variations. He completed numerous jobs for his boss, until he left the job several months later and dissapeared. His nightmares returned soon afterwords. He remembered the New Republic doctor he had visited several months ago had said that something was happening on Yavin IV, and used the ammount of credits he had made during his time as a mercenary to pay for his passage to the planet.
On arrival, he discovered that nearly everybody had a cylindrical object attached to their belts, and were wearing a light set of armor, or a pair of robes. After approaching one of the residents, he became aware that this was the headquarters of the New Jedi Order. He asked if he could speak to somebody in charge, and was brought before a junior council comprised of three Jedi Knights.
The Lorrdian told him about his nightmares, and how he wished to be finally rid of them. The three Jedi conversed with one another through the use of the Force, and decided that they would accept him into training to end the nightmares, as long as he were to let go of everything that had happened in the recent months, such as the death of his parents, and the death that he inflicted upon as a mercenary.
Anubis agreed without a second thought, and became a student at the academy. He was given a training lightsaber, which would only sting instead of actually cut something. The Annedu's nightmares disappeared for a time, finally leaving him to some piece, and rest.
He was making some good progress in his training, when he and his master were sent on a mission to Coronet City, where the Padawan was raised as a child. Disobeying his master, he returned to the home his parents had owned to gather some possessions of his parents.
When the young Jedi's master found out about the action, he removed the items from his Padawan. He feared that trying to reconnect with his parents would cause the nightmares he had been experiencing to return, and he knew how hard it was on the Lorrdian.
Anubis would have none of it however, stating that if he wanted to remember his parents and cause the nightmares to return, it was his problem and his problem alone. There was nothing to be done to stop him. In a fit of rage, he tried knocking his master out cold so that he could take the items back into his ownership, but was unsuccessful in his task.
Instead, he was knocked out. The two returned to the academy on Yavin IV, their mission unsuccessful thanks to the actions of the Padawan. The three Jedi Knights that accepted him into the order called him back into the small chambers he had first visited when he arrived, and told him that his actions were completely unacceptable.
The Annedu didn't listen, and demanded that his parent's possessions be returned to him, as he was the rightful owner. Furious when they told him that he shouldn't even touch the items, he Anubis took off. He left he academy, leaving behind everything he had gained since his parents death.
Dark Jedi Brotherhood History

Lyspair
Anubis arrived on the Shadow Academy grounds, which was on the Antei orbiting moon of Lyspair, in mid-26 ABY. He was nothing more then a shattered and broken soul, and wore tore rags as clothing. He had a series of cuts and bruises on his arms and legs, which he had earned on the long trek across the moon to the academy. He was accepted into the Dark Brotherhood as a hopeful, and after showing some of the potential he had, was accepted into the ranks as an Initiate.
The only task he had left to complete before earning the rank apprentice and be clanned, was passing the Test of Lore. This exam had a time span of a few days time, which would allow the Lorrdian to recover. After five days had passed, the exam was complete. He had passed it, and had a clan chosen for him. He looked for the right transport in the hanger, and found the one he was supposed to board. He was assigned to Clan Taldryan.
Shattering War; Defeat of Antei
The Annedu arrived on the forest planet of Taruma, the home of House Ektrosis and where the Ektrosis Temple was located. He was welcomed into the house by Obelisk Quaestor Hel-Pa Sklib and Krath Aedile Vodo Biask. Not soon after arriving, he was assigned by Krath Rollmaster Alanna Taldrya to be the un-official student of her assistant, Vardar.
Vardar provided a large variety of insight onto what was happening within the clan, as well as the standards that were expected of him. Several days after his arrival into his new life, at the awarding ceremony of the last Right of Supremecy, the Yuuzhan Vong let their presence be known to the galaxy, and declared war on the brotherhood.
The Annedu was aboard the Dark Prophet when the space battle began, Vong coral skippers and brotherhood fighters streaking across the darkness of space. When they turned their forces on the Dark Prophet, Anubis knew that he had to defend the ship. He aided several other young members of Taldryan fight one of the alien warriors, trying to protect one of the hanger bay doors which led to the rest of the vessel from being over-run.
When an evacuation order was called from the bridge, Anubis was the last one that wanted to leave. He was dedicated to protecting the forces of his allies from danger, but knew that sooner or later he was going to die.
A power conduit erupted in a fireball, creating an explosion which annihilated the Annedu's right arm and left him incapacitated. While unconscious, he was dragged aboard a small transport by a fellow clan member, who didn't see fit to let one of their own go out in such a way. The craft almost immediately lifted into the air once the doors were closed, and left the Dark Prophet just before the decompression of the ship began.
The transport barely managed to make it to the Katarn, and Anubis was transferred to the med-bay immediately. He underwent a minor surgery for a prosthetic limb, which would later be modified by the Lorrdian to his own design.
When he recovered, the Sith discovered were he was, and how he had survived the destruction of the Prophet. He took a few hours to take in the information, and returned to active duty. Instead of returning under the banner of Ektrosis, he returned to duty under the banner of Archanis, another house in Taldryan. His job was to aid fellow Archanis member Itachi Uchiha in trying to repair as much of the vessel as they could, though their limits were stretched.
When the Braata Option came into effect soon after Antei fell to the Yuuzhan Vong, Clan Taldryan respectively returned to the Kr'Tal System. Not soon afterwords, Anubis borrowed one of the clan's few remaining starfighters and left the system.
Invasion of Orian
After leaving Clan Taldryan, the Lorrdian had nowhere to go. He took up residence on the Covenant, where the bulk of Clan Naga Sadow had been currently stationed. The clan was returning to the Orian System, which had been their home for years. When they entered the system, they detected another capital ship within the region.
After preforming a scan, they determined that it was a Victory-class Star Destroyer. At first, they didn't know who to place the blame upon, until they received word from the planets below that the True Brotherhood had taken the system as their own, as well as control of the governing planets. Doing the only thing sensible, Clan Naga Sadow launched an attack, hoping to regain control of the Orian system.
Anubis had a few roles during the Invasion, the apprentice of House Ludo Kressh Quaestor Ashia Keibatsu. One of his more prominent roles, was helping lead the assault on True Brotherhood forces during the Battle of Tarthos, with fellow Sadowites Nero Pennant and Shuang Long.
While leading the Sadow side of the conflict with his two friends, an incident happened. Nero had been using the lightsaber given to him by his master, Trevarus Sadow, and accidentally struck the left leg of the Lorrdian.
The Annedu had to sit out of the fighting for a while, while he had a low-quality prosthetic replacement attached. Afterwords, he returned to the battlefield in an attempt to continue aiding his allies. The Battle of Tarthos ended a half an hour afterwords, when Trevarus Caerick seized control of the True Brotherhood's Imperial-class Star Destroyer, the Dark Fusion, and the impostors surrendered.
Exile
Clan Naga Sadow reclaimed the Orian System, and the lives of the Sadowites returned to normal. Anubis however, changed. During a conversation with his master, Ashia Keibatsu Sadow, in front of a large portion of the Dark Jedi the clan had, the Lorrdian disrespected the Quaestor, using vulgar and inappropriate language shamelessly. Also, he had gotten into a fight with another member of the clan, Tash. He had struck the fellow Sadowite, and left the area immediately.
It wasn't until later that night, did he realize what he had done. Feeling a wave of disappointment and guilt towards himself, he exiled himself. He left without saying a word to anybody, leaving behind no evidence that would suggest that he had been there. His quarters were completely cleaned up, and he had left no trace at the docking authority of when he departed. He just disappeared.
After he had exiled himself, Anubis returned to the home his parents had owned while they were still alive. He hadn't been there since he was a Jedi Padawan, and when he stepped on the premises, remembered that day clear as day. Again, he felt a wave of guilt flow over himself.
He shut himself out from the galaxy, and remained at the Annedu homestead most of the time. He walked the few acres of land every few days, seeing what had changed and comparing it to what he had remembered from his time there years ago. The Annedu remained in exile for six months, before taking it upon himself to rejoin the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. He didn't return to Clan Naga Sadow however.
Feud of Galeres & Qel-Droma
The Lorrdian returned to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood as a member of House Qel-Droma, a house in Clan Arcona. Anubis was assigned House Qel-Droma Quaestor Quejo Drakai as a master. Quejo was a former House Marka Ragnos Quaestor that he had met during his time in Clan Naga Sadow, and had really never gotten the chance to meet. The first week that he was a member of the less prominent house, Clan Envoy Rho d'Tana assigned him as House Envoy and Rollmaster of Qel-Droma.
The Sith took the positions without any words of disbelief, and worked hard at his job. He welcomed several new members into the house, getting them started on their trials to Dark Jedi Knight. He too worked on the same trials, hoping to gain the rank soon, himself.
Arcona was at peace for nearly two months, before something drastically dangerous to the clan happened, that would pit both houses against each other. Quejo learned of Jedi presence on the space station orbiting the core-world of [1], and wished to eliminate them from existence. He used his status of Quaestor to convince Qel-Dromans that the Jedi must be exterminated.
The Sith prepared to launch his attack, confiding in the Consul, Mejas Doto, and Proconsul, Sashar Arconae, in a request for forces. He was denied by the two clan leaders, and told that if he were to pursue his need to have the Jedi exterminated, then he would be stopped.
Quejo refused to listen, and prepared to launch an assault anyways. He used the forces he already had control of to do so, using the Shadow and it's compliment. Furious, the Arconan summit sent House Galeres Quaestor Zandro Erinos to bring the estranged Qel-Droman Quaestor before them. He accepted his task as the task of Galeres without any hesitation, and set out to ruin the life of the Qel-Droma leader.
While all of this was happening, Anubis was at his master's side the entire way. He aided in the persuasion of the house, as well as helping the Xyler prepare for the attack. When the fighting began, the Lorrdian wasn't sure anymore if what they were doing was the right thing. Following his instincts however, he remained loyal to House Qel-Droma.
The Sith's last mission during the feud was to board the Darkest Night as an ally, and sabotage the Blue Mist fighter craft that were stored aboard. Of course, he did as he was told. When he first arrived aboard the Bothan-class Attack Cruiser, the crew - and his Galerian friends - didn't know if they could trust in him or not.
After a few hours, they became aware that he was completely calm, which meant that he couldn't have anything up his sleeves, as it just wasn't like him. They were wrong, as when they left him alone for several minutes, he slipped into the hanger of the cruiser and cutting different lines on each of the fighters that they used. He kept one of the fighters intact however, as it was his means of escape.
As he was cutting the last line, a member of the docking crew saw him. They instantly reported the incident over the com-link to all security staff and Dark Jedi, causing the Annedu to have to run for it. He quickly jumped into the fighter he had left in-tact, and took off.
Five Blue Mist team members each jumped into starfighters, and tried to chase after him. Three of the starfighters wouldn't work, as their power lines had been cut. On another, the wires which controlled the flight controls was cut, and on the final fighter, the oxygen line had been cut. With the oxygen line cut, the second that the fighter left the safety of the hanger and passed through the magnetized field, his starfighter decompressed and his life ended without any breathable air.
Knowing what he had done was the right thing to have done, the Sith returned back to the Shadow and reported to his master that the mission was a success. For his actions to aid Qel-Droma, Quejo awarded his apprentice with the title of Disciple of Qel-Droma. It was an honorific title, which symbolized that he, along with Debric d'Tana, were among the elite of the house. After the feud had finished, and Quejo admitted defeat, the Lorrdian felt the need to return back to where his journey down the Dark Side had first really began, Clan Taldryan. He returned to the Ektrosis Temple on Taruma.
Return to Taldryan
After returning to House Ektrosis, the Annedu was welcomed back into the house by the two leaders he had been under the influence of when he first left, Hel-Pa Sklib and Vodo Biask. He was greeted by many others, and took a set of temporary guest quarters on the east side of the temple. Anubis only stayed in that set of quarters for a single night, learning the next day that he had been chosen by the summit to lead the Battle Team he had first started in, Hex.
The Ektrosian gladly took the position, and was moved to a set of quarters with a small office attached. He made himself at home, and got acquainted with everybody in his team. A few of the members, he already knew. Others, he did not.
After two months time, he had firmly set himself in as the new Tetrarch and was putting the team through training exercises. He had seen the way that Arcona's famous Soulfire Strike Team had trained, and based his exercises off of theirs. He put them through a few different tests, determining if they were better off being pilots, shock troops, or tactical adivsors. Everyone was true to their order.
Another three and a half months passed, and there was no action for the team. They began to slack off slightly, fully aware that they hadn't seen action in months. Realizing this himself, Anubis too began to slack off. When Vodo resigned as Aedile of House Ektrosis and Taigikori Aybara took the mantle, tensions between the summit and the Lorrdian began to form. Arguments began to break out, sometimes for no apparent reason. Neither side wanted to be calm about the situation.
The same week that Taigikori took Vodo's place, Anubis recieved a holo-vid from long time friend Alaris Jinn. The message contained nothing more then friendly discussion about how he was doing. Two weeks later, after marking just over his sixth month back in Taldryan, the Ektrosian made his final decision as a Taldryanite.

Custom Sith Armor
After reading scripts and watching short holo-logs about Revan's Sith Empire during some of his studies aboard the Arcanum, Anubis became very fascinated. After a while, he sought out a set of armor from that era, and looked to restore it. He was hardly successfull, recovering a set that looked as though it had been lying in the weather for thousands of years; which it had. After drawing a render of what a full suit would look like from what he had seen, the Sith began the restoration.
Each piece of armor plating was cut to the renders specifications, using light titanium alloy. When all of the plating was completed and finished, the Sith took it upon himself to equip it with a few modern technologies. In order to pay for the whole thing, he had to sell a lot of other things, including his homestead on Corellia.
Blasters
- "The DC-15s side arm isn't my favorite weapon, but it never runs outta ammo, and that counts for something in a firefight"
- ―RC-1207
Anubis carries around a set of twin DC-15s side arm blasters around with him, in the two holsters attached to the belt of his armor. The DC-15S blasters were produced by the large corporation BlasTech Industries for the Grand Army of the Republic, which is also refered to as the "clone army". The pistols come in handy, providing a steady flow of ammunition when the Lorrdian needs it most.
These blasters weren't as powerful as the full version, the DC-15S blaster carbine, but they recharged at a steady and even rate. The DC-15s pistols can fire a maximum of several rounds a second, and featured the look of a slug thrower for easier concealment and holstering. The Annedu acquired the two blasters after the completion of his armor in late 29 ABY.
Lightsaber
When Darth Sarin announced that members of the Dark Brotherhood ranked Protector and above could wield a stock lightsaber named the Armoury Saber Anubis was one of the first to trade in his training saber and grab one of the new lightsabers available to him. He chose one with a red blade, to show his fealty to the Sith Order.
When the Lorrdian reached Knighthood, he returned the Armoury Saber and constructed his own hilt, using plans from one of the Herald's designs as a guide through it's assembly. Instead of using a red, treated Adgean crystal like the traditional Sith did in the building of their blades, the Plaugeian chose a different path. Following the color of his warbanner, he located a crystal that emitted an acid-yellow blade when activated. After testing the lightsaber to make sure that it functioned correctly, Anubis had it inspected. When the inspection was complete, the Sith attached the polished hilt of the weapon to his belt.
Warbanner
When Anubis became a Dark Jedi Knight, new warbanner options became available to him. He customized it to his personally liking, and ordered it from the office of the Herald, Shikyo Keibatsu. Within a few days, it was delivered to his exact specification to his room. He hung it on the wall, the Plagueis crest standing out strong against the acid-yellow color.
