The Orian system is a 7-planet system located on the outskirts of Sith Space in the Outer Rim. It contains two stars, Orian Major and Orian Minor, the latter being a yellow dwarf star that orbits the former, a red giant, between the Dentavii asteroid belt and Tarthos causing severe climate distortions throughout the system. Despite the harmonious union between the twins the passage of day and night on many of the planets inside Orian is still considered deeply irritable and erratic by most sentient life forms.
The system was once home to the Sith Lord Urias Orian but was abandoned following the Great Hyperspace War. During the years following the Galactic Empire the Dlarit Corporation became the public authority under the secret control of Clan Naga Sadow. The system is protected by the forces of the Dlarit Security Force who police the spacelanes to and from the nearby Hydian Way. In addition, the Dlarit Special Operations Group conducts missions further afield to ensure the long term security of the system and its dark masters.
The Orian system was first discovered by Urias Orian over five millennia ago by means of a direct hyperspace pipeline between Orian and the region of space ruled by the Sith Empire. Orian mimics the ancient empire in almost every respect; from culture to architecture. It remained a secret from the Dark Lords and was ruled by Urias Orian. It is rumoured the renegade Sith Lord Okemi used Orian as passage between the ancient empire and his cult, the Star Chamber, on Antei.
