| Penultimate rites are confined to ship selection. In times of war or peace, these warriors are allowed to choose their weapon of war. At any time they may commandeer a vessel in the name of the Consul. This privilege may only be enforced during times of war or in the event of aggressive action.

| Finally, the final honor of a Dark Paladin is the award of an extremely fine weapon crafted in the mines that pocket [[Judecca]]’s surface in the North. The grandest of weapon smiths is given a block of steel and instructed to build a weapon worthy of a great warrior. They labor in their forges for many days, pouring their will into the metal, crafting its’ edges to perfection and decorating it ornately before the day it is presented to the wielder.
