Fictional Role
The Justicar is hand-picked by the Grand Master to serve as the sole arbiter and administrator of the Brotherhood's laws and order. The Justicar oversees the Hands of Justice: one acting as the prosecution while the other serves as the defender. The Justicar has final say over any judicial decision and are responsible for carrying out and delivering verdicts and sentences with all the weight and power of the Dark Council. The Justicar is one of the few Dark Councilor roles that can directly challenge the actions of a Grand Master, limited only by the Star Chamber itself, giving them a unique kind of power that other Dark Councilors lack.
Roll of Justicars
The current Justicar is Kamjin "Maverick" Lap'lamiz.

Heraldry of the Justicar
Upon appointment to the bench, each Justicar works with artists to design his own crest. This symbol is then used throughout the Chamber of Justice and on every official Chamber document during the Justicar's term. Below are the crests of current and past Justicar's.
