"There is only me..."
―Anubis Annedu

Anubis Annedu, also refered to as Anbu, is currently a Jedi Hunter residing in House Satal Keto of Clan Plagueis. The last descendant of the Sith Lord Shar Dakhan, who was loyal to the Dark Lord Naga Sadow during the Great Hyperspace War, Anubis is ironically an adherent the the Sith Order of the Dark Brotherhood. The Ketoan has very little knowledge on his Sith lineage, but the more he watches from his holocron, the more he learns.

Character History

Beginning

Anubis was born a young healthy baby on Dantooine, as the son of two farmers Brisha and Nikkon Annedu. They loved caring for their son, but sometimes it distracted them, and how much farming they were able to complete. Eventually, it began to affect their monthly income. As the young one continued to grow, his father became more distant with each passing day. It wasn’t until his sixth birthday had the boy walked into his parent's safe room and saw the Sith Holocron that sat in a glass case, along with a sword.

Brisha hid the case from him, refusing to let him see it again, fearing that he may be tempted by the Dark Energies that had supposedly surrounded it. The next day, Anubis had completely forgotten about it, and went on to live his life for the next three years until he again entered his parent’s safe room, discovering the case hidden away under a blanket in a corner. The boy proceeded up towards the covered object, throwing off the cloth that hid the case from view. This time Anubis saw the gold hatch that was keeping the case sealed shut.

Curious, he loosened the latch and opened the small door. He stared at the sword and the holocron, and grabbed them. The youngling strapped the sword within its sheath to his belt, and placed the ancient holocron into his small pack. The young Sith went down to show his parents how he looked with the sword on his belt, and Nikkon was instantly angry.

He removed the weapon from his son's belt, not even thinking about the holocron, and the possibility that his son could have it in his possession.

Anubis was yelled at and told to go to his room, which he did, grudgingly. While alone in the room, he removed the holocron from his pack and set it down on the table. Running his fingers down the edges of it, Anubis found a mound at the top. Definitely curious now, the Sith pushed down on the mound. It gave underneath the pressure, and soon the sides unfolded slightly.

A holographic projection of a middle aged man appeared, and asked the boy if he had accessed the holocron to learn about the teachings of the Sith. Without realizing what he was doing, the Annedu nodded his head to the hologram. He was told to take a seat, which he did without further question. The holocron's projection began to explain the history of the Dark Side of the Force, what it meant to be a Sith, and how to act like one as well.

Five hours passed, when Brisha peeked into the room to see his son looking at the activated holocron, listening and following instructions intently. She had no idea what to do, so she quietly left the room, closing the door on her way out.

The woman hurried throughout the house, trying to locate her husband. She had to tell him about this, before the boy wandered too far down the dark path. She asked one of the droids if they knew where he was, but they revealed to her that he had gone into town for a few hours. Brisha was alone, while her son learned the Dark Side.

By the time that Nikkon had returned, Anubis was fast asleep with the holocron hidden safely. His mother brought her husband into the room to show him what their son was doing, but their son was sleeping soundly in their bed. Shrugging off his wife's accusations, Nikkon removed himself from the room.

Training

Every night for the next five years, Anubis would secretly learn more about the Dark Side from the holocron he had stolen from his parent's safe room. Brisha had never been able to catch him in the act with Nikkon at her side, and the man began to think that his wife was going into a senial-like state of mind.

As the Annedu learned more and more of the Dark Side, his personality changed greatly. He became slightly crueler, and executed everything with precision. His skills had improved, and he was now able to use the Force more easily, prefering to start on simpler tasks before trying to push himself to his limits.

Late one evening, the Sith creeped into his parent's safe room and looked for the sword he had seen years ago. Locating the glass case in the same spot as it had been in for years, he opened the latch and removed the sheathed weapon. Attaching the weapon to his belt, the Sith slowly proceeded towards the front door of the house. His mother stopped him as he was two meters away, brandishing a small sword of her own. She told her son to turn around and place the sword back where it belonged, as well as the holocron.

Anubis refused, saying that he was free from their control, and he would do as he wished, when he wished. He drew his weapon, ready to strike down his mother with a second thought. Closing her eyes out of fear, Brisha lashed out at her teenage son, swinging wildly. The Sith expertly blocked the blow, thrusting the blade of the weapon forward, near his mothers spleen.

When the elegant blade of the weapon pierced through her spleen, Brisha collapsed to the ground. The teenager removed his weapon from her body, and she began to bleed uncontrollably. The Annedu spoke three harsh words to his mother, the last that she would ever hear.

Preferring not to stick tarry around any longer, the boy left his parent's farm, jogging into town. In his pack he had two sets of clothes, as well as his holocron. He had been planning his leave for three weeks, hoping to get off of the planet and travel somewhere where he could either learn in piece, or live by his own rules.

When Anubis arrived at the starport two days later, he payed the fee for a one way trip to Corellia using a small sum of credits he had stolen from his father's account. The transport left an hour later, and the Sith watched his home world sink into nothingness as the transport entered Hyperspace.

When the freighter arrived in Coronet City on Corellia, the Sith quickly went job searching, as well as a place to live. Luck was on his side, for the Corellian Engineering Company was hiring new mechanics, and the Annedu knew a small thing or two about freighters.

With the money that he was making from the CEC, Anubis rented out a small apartment and paid the required tuition to learn at a school. The only courses he was taking was on spacecraft, how to repair them, and how to fly them.

Search for Lyspair

Each day he still watched from his holocron, learning more about the Force and techniques. By the time had had finished half of it, he was twenty two years of age and had mastered most of the low level techniques it contained, as well as combat with a sword. It was then that he learned of a secret academy on Lyspair, the moon of the dark planet Antei. This academy was said to train Force Sensitive people in the ways of the Dark Side, until they had acheived unbelievable power.

The idea of having such power interested Anubis, and he went off in search of the moon. It was rumored to be located near the Sith grave-world of Korriban, though try as he might the Annedu was unable to locate it.

The Sith searched for well over a year, abandoning the search and returning home to Corellia when he thought he had scouted every system near Korriban. The search was hopeless, and didn't provide him with a single piece of evidence to support if the academy was actually real or not.

Three months later, a black transport was rumored to have landed in Coronet City, which would be taking hopefuls to Lyspair. Taking any chance he could, Anubis paid three months rent in advance and got onto the black transport, leaving all of his possessions behind. Although it had taken him a year and three months, he finally found a way onto the moon, where he would be truly taught the ways of the Dark Side.

Dark Jedi Brotherhood History

Clan Taldryan

File:Tal-logo.jpg

Anubis was transferred to Clan Taldryan after he completed his Test of Lore, joining the prominent ranks of House Ektrosis. He was assigned to be trained by Vardar by the current Rollmaster at the time, Alanna Taldrya. The two spent a short time together, before the impatient Apprentice transferred over to House Archanis.

He joined the ranks of the Crimson Vanguard shortly before the Eight Great Jedi War began, taking it upon himself to aid his clan however possible. When the Yuuzhan Vong launched their attack on the Brotherhood at the edge of the Shroud, the Sith was on board the Dark Prophet for some down time. When the ship came under attack, Anubis was did his best to help, but most of the older members told him to get off the ship and to safety.

He was one of the few to escape the destruction of the Clan's flagship, the Dark Prophet. He had made it safely to the Katarn in one of the fighters untouched by the Yuuzhan Vong Coral Skippers, barely making it out alive. While in the hanger of the Prophet', he had lost his entire right arm to a Yuuzhan Vong amphistaff. No more then thirteen seconds after he had left the ship, had the decompression inside the ship begin to rip out it's occupants and toss them into the darkness of space..

Remaining on the Katarn, the Valheru did his best to help out. He succeeded some times, and failed others. He aided Itachi Uchiha in keeping the ship alive, while keeping himself alive in the difficult process. When the war was lost, Anubis felt disgraced. He sought out new things, leaving Clan Taldryan in hopes that he could redeem himself.

Clan Naga Sadow

After leaving Clan Taldryan, the Obelisk left for the dominion of Clan Naga Sadow and their people. He became apprenticed to Horus Blackheart, and underwent strategy and Force training, as his skills in melee combat were adequate for his rank, which was only Guardian.

After the training had begun to turn sour, the SIth requested a different master. His request was granted, and he was given to train under House Ludo Kressh Quaestor Ashia Kagan Keibatsu, wife to Muz. The training was more intense, and she expected a lot more then his former master had.

When the clan returned back to the Orian System, they were met by the True Brotherhood. They had taken over various planets in the system, seizing control of it for themselves. Anubis did a lot of work, but eventually led the Sadowite forces in the Battle of Tarthos, with his friends Shuang Long, and Nero Pennant.

When the battle was almost over, an accident had occurred. Nero accidentally struck the lower half of the Sith’s left leg with the lightsaber he had received from his master, Trevarus Caerick.

The Annedu sat out for the rest of the battle, and had the lost limb replaced with a cybernetic one of his own design and construction. When Trevarus had taken command of the True Brotherhood]]’s Imperial-class Star Destroyer, the Orian Invasion was over.

A little while had passed, when the Sith disgraced himself in front of his clan mates. He left the clan for two months going into self exile, and returned to House Ludo Kressh afterwards.

Ashia would have none of it, and forced the Annedu into House Marka Ragnos which was under the lead of Battlemaster Ashura Isradia. He was allowed back into the clan’s master student program, on the term that he was only apprentice to the Quaestor of House Marka Ragnos.

He spent another two months there, before getting into a heated argument with another Jedi Hunter. Ashia saw an opening to have her former apprentice thrown from the clan, and convinced the consul Trevarus Caerick to have him removed from the system.

Clan Arcona

Thrown from his home, Anubis had little choice. The Hunter didn’t think it was time to return to Clan Taldryan just yet, and stayed in House Qel-Droma. After two weeks of being a part of Arcona, the Clan Envoy Rho d'Tana gave him the position of Rollmaster on the House Summit.

He preformed his duties well, at least until Operation:ECLIPSE surfaced. The Sith’s master, Quejo Drakai Xyler and close friend, had gone mad. He sought to destroy the Jedi aboard the Eclipse station. The Clan Summit gave Galeres Quaestor Zandro the task of capturing the madman, causing his plan to fail entirely. This left his apprentice tattered with exhaustion from all of the fighting that went on between the two houses of Clan Arcona, and shattered several friendships.

The Annedu had become fed up with bickering and fighting, and decided it was time that he returned home to Clan Taldryan where he believed he truly belonged.

Clan Taldryan

File:Tal-logo.jpg

When he had made the decision to return to where he had truly belonged, the Valheru certainly didn’t expect to be as welcome as he was. When he first arrived, he heard about the open position of Tetrarch for the Battleteam he had started off in, Hex. He jumped right at the chance to lead, and was awarded the position soon after applying..

Since returning to his home in the Ektrosis Temple, Anubis made over several new friends, some of them in House Dinaari. One of them was Zasati Tryezsh, a beautiful Hapan that thought of herself as ugly because of a smudge on her face. He was able to pay for the commission of a personal starfighter, Sith's Blade, because the two models used in the construction were extremely cheap.

When the position of Aedile opened for House Ektrosis, Anubis once again jumped at the chance. Halfway during the process of choosing a new Aedile, the Annedu asked his Quaestor, Hel-Pa Sklib, to remove him from the deciding process. Soon after, friend Taigikori Aybara was chosen as the new Aedile and Zasati was appointed Sergeant of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse Battleteam.

Soon after the new Aedile had been chosen, tensions between himself and the summits changed drastically. Feeling uneasy about the situation, the Sith packed his belongings and left, heading for a new home.

Clan Plagueis

Anubis had first met the Satal Keto Quaestor Alex d'Tana while he was in Clan Arcona, and was able to convince both him and the clan summit to allow him admittance into the Clan. He wasn't a part of the clan for very long when the War of Ascension and the feud between Arcona, Plagueis, and Scholae Palaptinae started, and the Sith found himself in a tight situation.

When called to the War Room in the Dark Tower by Proconsul Yzarc Kaeth, he was given a recon mission that couldn't he knew he couldn't fail. While out preforming the mission, the Lambda-class transport he had been given to use had an engine failure, leaving him trapped in space.

It was another two days before anybody discovered the Sith, and helped him return to the Dark Tower. Anubis explained exactly what happened, why he was unable to retrieve the information wanted by the Proconsul, as well as how the engine failed and he was unable to repair it. Since the end of the feud, Anubis has built his own set of custom armor, pouring every cent he had into it, as well as taking out a small loan to help pay.

Personal Weapons & Armor

Exotath

File:Anubis-Sword1.jpg

Exotath is an ancient weapon, that belonged to the Sith Lord Shar Dakhan. When Anika fell in battle against a Jedi Master, his son and enhanced it with Sith Alchemy. This is the weapon that Anubis used to stab his mother, Brisha Annedu, with and kill many beings during his time in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood.

Custom Sith Armor

After reading scripts and watching short holo-logs about Revan's Sith Empire during some of his studies aboard the Arcanum, Anubis became very fascinated. After a while, he sought out a set of armor from that era, and looked to restore it. He was hardly successfull, recovering a set that looked as though it had been lying in the weather for thousands of years; which it had. After drawing a render of what a full suit would look like from what he had seen, the Sith began the restoration.

Each piece of armor plating was cut to the renders specifications, using titanium alloy. When all of the plating was completed and finished, the Sith took it upon himself to equip it with suitable technologies, spending every one of his last credits on it. In order to pay for the whole thing, he had to sell a lot of other things, including his homestead on Corellia. At the completion of the armor, he only had his lightsaber, sword, holocron, and armor. Everything else had been sold in order to pay for the armor.

Warbanner and Lightsaber

Warbanner

A month after returning to Clan Taldryan, the Jedi Hunter began to steer away from the Sith order. In lieu of this, he changed back to the Obelisk order, what he first started off as being. Because he didn't have all of the Warbanner options as a Dark Jedi Knight would, his banner was red. Seeking a change he had the Herald, Shikyo Keibatsu, construct a new one for him.

File:9056wb.gif

When the Tetrarch recieved it, the support was white with the actual cloth a fine blue silk. The tribal design in the middle is what captivated the man. He had never seen such a great looking work of art upon a warbanner, and thought it would fit perfectly on the back wall in his office, and he hung it up so that all would notice it when stepping into the room.

Since changing back to the Sith, Anubis has kept his Obelisk warbanner.

Lightsaber

As Darth Sarin announced that members ranked Protector and up would be granted an already crafted lightsaber, Anubis was one of the members that grabbed them. Though very basic, it's still a lightsaber and usable. Since the hilt looks like a chunk of stone or rock, Anubis nicknamed the brand of lightsabers the 'Stone Sabers'. Because he is a member of the Sith order, the Annedu carries a lightsaber that brandishes a red blade, to show his fealty to the Sith and their teachings.
