"The Consular Conclave is formed of Odan-Urr's researchers, diplomats, medical staff, Watchmen and Shadows, called on when facing esoteric challenges outside the realm of the Guardian Corps. They see and hear all, often providing intelligence to the High Council and providing support services for all of Odan-Urr and her allies.”
What the Guardian Corps accomplishes through combat, the Consular’s achieve with words and as often as possible nonviolent means. They seek to perfect the art of diplomacy in their actions, provide aid to the galaxy via new research, provide medical resources and resolve the more esoteric challenges that Odan-Urr faces. While the Consulars attempt to avoid conflict, they aren’t so foolish as to believe every situation can be resolved peacefully.
Whether wielding a lightsaber, blaster, or blade, the Consulars will defend themselves and others when the need arises. Many of their members focus on dueling and dealing with practitioners of the Dark Side, their combination of intellect, knowledge, and powers within the Force allow them to resolve conflict when it arises.
History
Founding
The Consular Conclave was formed in the wake of House Sunrider's closure, after its structure and methodology was deemed no longer required to support the Clan. By once again dividing the Clan's assets into directly militant and clandestine elements the leadership hoped to further expand upon their strengths, but the Conclave expanded out into a number of other support roles, from research to criminal investigations. The group was quickly established and given Asclepius station, a medical platform in the Clan's assets, as a primary base of operations.
The Vedun Contagion
Very shortly after the Conclave's formation, the group was pressed into dealing with a growing emergency. The abandoned factory world of Vedun, home only to a few scavenging towns, had begun suffering from an unknown contagion. Spreading quickly across the population, many had been rendered bedridden with rashes and lesions covering their skin while their lungs seized up. Jedi like Elyon de Neverse worked to heal and limit the growing spread, supported in their efforts by Padawans such as Gar Harik. At the same time, other members sought to pinpoint the possible cause and limit the further spread. A surprising revelation emerged as Benn Nevis and Essik Lyccane traced the potential cause back to a freighter that the scavengers had been excavating shortly prior to the outbreak. While the hold's interior and its contents were largely untouched following the freighter's crash, the crate that likely served as a point of origin for the contagion had been placed there mere weeks before its discovery. This led to the question of who had left it there and why.
The Hollow Mountain
The Conclave would see itself roped into the ongoing investigation by the Guardian Corps into a high-profile murder. Although the case had briefly been closed, the abrupt movements of several suspects and the auction of unknown items on Daleem drew their attention, as did a rushed illegal excavation that had been established on Solyiat. As both Houses agreed to take whoever was present to pursue both targets, they uncovered a joint operation on two fronts. The excavation had dug into a previously unknown Sith Temple hidden within a hollow section of a large mountain range, while the auction was trying to sell off Sith relics to representatives of the Black Sun.
The operation saw some success in rescuing a number of relics and disrupting the auction, but many Black Sun members escaped and the archeologists investigating the Temple could not be found. Having likely wandered deep into the interior, the Odanites chose to consolidate their new findings. Garrisoning the dig site and looking into information on these new discoveries, they sought to find answers to a now much larger mystery.
The Consular Way
It is the path of peace. Its members are trained to find their own path, but they should seek peace above all. Never to seek conflict without reason, fighting is a last resort and should serve as a means to protect those they see as their charges. They will seek any path that allows them to seek out the path of tranquility in themselves as they provide the same to others.
- Bring light to the dark in the Universe
- Never seek out conflict, but never shy away when it becomes necessary
- Challenge the forces of the dark side of the Force at every turn. It is the Consular’s responsibility to be the shield that protects Odan-Urr from the challenges of the mystic.
Purpose
In contrast to the militant arm of the Guardians, the Consulars cover a multitude of additional combat support and non-combat roles. While quite capable in battle, their focus lies instead in handling a multitude of areas surrounding the risk of outright war, from acting as ambassadors to intelligence operatives alongside the Sentinel Network. This role sees them typically acting in a peacekeeping role more akin to the older Jedi Order, but with a far wider range of specialists and individuals assembled within their ranks.
While the Guardians serve and maintain Clan Odan-Urr’s singularly strong battle force, the Consulars work to ensure that they are left to focus upon where they are most needed, and that they can hit hardest when deployed. Researchers and information gatherers both serve to keep the clan’s hierarchy updated on a variety of matters that fall under their purview, while also examining new findings recovered by field operatives.
Beyond their frontline roles, a number of the Consular Conclave work behind the scenes, with a particular focus in tackling the more esoteric threats and situations that might arise. Surrounded by a multitude of Clans with members aligned with the Dark Side, and a wealth of relics left over from wars between the Jedi and Sith across the galaxy, they are tasked with investigating situations of a sorcerous nature. Guarding and identifying items from lost eras, they work to limit the threat that leftover weapons from the ancient Sith Wars might pose, or the risk of other powers adding relics to their arsenals.
Organisation
The Consular Conclave’s overall structure adheres to the standard pattern of a House, with a Quaestor and Aedile leading it. Both answer to the ruling Consul and Proconsul of the clan, who serve to direct and organise them in the best manner that supports their wider operations.
Internally, the Conclave lacks the compartmentalization and rigid structure of a group focused upon intelligence gathering and law enforcement. Consisting largely of talented individuals from a variety of backgrounds, most are given the leeway needed to pursue their goals as they see fit. Organised broadly depending upon the skillsets of its members,

Asclepius Station
The Haven-class medical station serves as a base for members of the Consular Conclave. The station is divided into residential, training, medical, research and more, to accomodate the needs of the Consulars according to the focus on which its members focus. The station also includes rooms for guests and visiting dignitaries.
The residential section is divided into individual cabins for members of the Conclave as well as the small security force of the Guardian Corps present on the station.
Fleet
To support its efforts, the Consular Conclave was granted control of two CR90 corvettes as additional firepower, the ODN Proxia Mustirion and ODN Pride of Owyhyee. While largely operating either in defensive actions or part of the larger Clan Odan-Urr fleet, they grant the Consulars much needed firepower to call upon in desperate situations. The group was later gifted the Idiot's Array to further assist with its overall operations.
