Masahiro Haku, son of a minor Vatali noble and an Arkanian scientist living in self-imposed exile to atone for atrocities committed during The Arkanian Revolution, serves as the current Consul of Clan Odan-Urr and High Councilor of the Acolytes of Urr. A seeker of lost truths and understanding, Masahiro often sees himself between points of conflict, attempting to understand the root, rather than merely taking a side without knowledge. Oftentimes he has been seen as hesitant, potentially unwilling to take immediate action when necessary, at worst some of his peers see him as a vacillating figure as his decisions on matters have swayed over the years, often in the face of new knowledge or understanding. In truth, his adamant chase of the correct course of action and metering equitable cause for the matters at hand merely seems indecisive as he believes there is no galactic cure-all and every situation needs attentive discourse and recourse.
Physical Description
Possessed of an athletic body and wide shoulders, his frame is one earned through hard work and not focused body sculpting. A length of silken white hair frames features on his alabaster face, the rest often resting, tied back loosely, cascading over his shoulders. Silver eyes, borne with central heterochromia, bear rings of deep green at their core, and stare off into the distance often. Small scars and bruises track over his body, reminders and marks of his time training, with Padawan, younglings, and other Jedi looking to hone their own skills.
Character History
Early Life
Masahiro's youth was unremarkable, born into a position of wealth and comfort in an isolationist society the largest discomfort the half-Sephi child knew in his younger years were the gentle arguments his parents had as they discussed politics, education, and the various responsibilities they bore to Crown and History. Concerns arose, however, when his parents discovered their child was Force Sensitive, with the Galactic Empire still an external aggressor and the threat against Jedi and other Force Sensitives in the wind, his parents kept their child's secret close for as long as they could.
Force Discovery
Kiast, as it turned out, was not without its own Jedi. Altea Vimmeta, a Sephi Jedi who had refused to take part in the Clone Wars and lambasted the Council for politicizing and weaponizing their Order to serve as "Galactic Hounds" had returned home to Kiast, surviving the eventual purge of the Jedi following Order 66, and in her later years discovered the fledgling Masahiro and a handful of young Force Sensitives. Altea impressed upon the parents of the children the dangers inherent to The Force, not the risk of the Empire finding their children, but instead the dangers of their children's own depths of emotion, pain, and wonderment leading to hazards with their potential gifts. The children would be trained by Altea at Velastari Temple, away from the public's prying eyes, where their skills would not risk injury to bystanders, and where there was a natural connection to The Force, until such a time as Altea could safely contact the remaining Jedi on New Tython.
New Tython
Knowing she could not properly train a burgeoning class of younglings, Altea smuggled Masahiro and several others across the Galaxy to New Tython. The journey left several children on edge, more scared of what their future held for them than hopeful about finally understanding the gifts they'd been born with. Masahiro, an inquisitive and pensive youth, questioned everything on the journey, much to the delight of his teacher, and the annoyance of their hosts. His rampant curiosity led more than once to him investigating the illegality of what, beyond Force Sensitive children, they had been smuggling across the Galaxy.
His years on New Tython were formative. During the various civil wars, conflicts, and strife he was a student, a young Padawan being taught how to soothe the ails of a perilous world and galaxy beyond. The conflicts were not yet his own to solve, the stakes nothing more than education, and he viewed the short-lived confrontations as meaningless at first, mistakes of people unwilling to sit down and talk. A burden of his noble upbringing. As his education continued he began to empathize more with the Harakoan Tribes, the Mon Cala, and the various others who called New Tython home. When The Brotherhood came he tasted combat for the first time.
Unaware of matters concerning Odan-Urr's contention with the Brotherhood, the young Padawan did not comprehend the sudden assault. The following year he was knighted and returned to Kiast of his own accord to continue the work Altea had begun. His choices saw him narrowly escape shortly before the combined forces of The Brotherhood returned and devastated New Tython, ultimately destroying its biosphere.
Return of the Jedi
For years Masahiro looked back on his decision to leave the Temple on New Tython until news of their destruction reached him, followed shortly by the arrival of the survivors from the incident, fate, it seemed, played itself in circles.
As the Acolytes of Urr and their Harakoan refugees entreated the Empress for a place within Kiast, the Sephi-born Jedi removed himself from the conversation, instead allowing his family to place their weight into the conversations as members of the gentry, and did as his master had, helped those in need, gave selflessly, and weighed the choices at hand versus the big picture. He would spend the next several years integrating himself with the newly established Acolytes and become a member of Clan Odan-Urr, finding himself at odds with the Council, much as his master had, over their militarization and politicization, however; unlike Master Vimmeta, Masahiro understood that the Acolytes of Urr were acting now in desperation and for self-preservation, unlike the Jedi Order during the last Galactic Republic.
Personal Life

Companions
The High Councilor has had an assortment of Droids, Associates, and Creatures frequently in his midst. While often a solitary man, he forms strong attachments.
Associates

Creature Companions
A lifelong friend of the High Councilor, Fortune was hand-raised by Masahiro after being promised a "Vast Fortune" by one of the Okami Mandalorians for coming to their aid in a time of need, the result was a choice of materials, weaponry, alcohol, and armor. The Jedi's choice was to a pup from their Stroilk's litter which he named "Fortune" after the promise of a Vast Fortune. Sharing an innate bond and high intelligence, the pair have often acted together to surprise, intimidate, or fluster those who aimed to do the same to the Jedi. Fortune, for his own part, is an enthusiastic being, with a strong attachment to his partner and is quick to buffalo anyone or anything unwelcomed in his territory.
Relationships
Sonyo Rue
The current Councilor of War, counterbalance of Masahiro's often cautious approach, and the regular reminder to the Empress' Council that much of the Galaxy moves twice as fast as the Sephi, due to their shorter lifespans. A great friend with balanced viewpoints and a complex history, Masahiro has been as much a teacher as a student of hers as the pair have done their best to work together and worked to make the Empire better for all of her citizens.
The previous High Councilor of the Acolytes of Urr, driving force of changes within the order, and a good friend to Masahiro and many others within (and outside of) the Temple.
The current Shadow Lord and Consul of Clan Arcona. Zuza and Masahiro met during the Battle of Brimstone, in the aftermath of the final siege as the various parties were coordinating the withdrawal of their wounded, search parties, and further logistics. The meeting was fairly trivial, with the pair meeting in passing. Moreso, the meeting stands out because of Wulfram Armis, the former Councilor of War, as he recounted tales of the woman and her *stabbity* nature, leaving the High Councilor perplexed as to how such a small woman could hide so many knives *and a sword*.
The Governor of Kaal, a Professional Shockboxing veteran, and man with *entirely* too much ambition versus oversight. He has a good head on his shoulders, but is critically impatient, very quick to throw a punch, and please, put on some clothes, you live in the tundra.
The Governess of Tythas and KUDF Veteran, while Masahiro has had little direct contact with her in the field, Council meetings have been productive and she always delivers nuanced and encompassing points of view. Deep respect and experience sit behind her words and Masahiro finds himself moved to give her words heavy credence before he voices any decisions before The Council.
The current Knight Commander of the Knights of Allusis, a holostar inducted to the Acolytes of Urr after being *literally* delivered to their doorstep by a hauler named Frenek Mausma, the former dancer has proven herself a steadfast and trustworthy ally, capable of taming the extant order who had in recent days been in all but open revolt over policies enacted to work with and monitor Darksiders instead of immediately moving to violence. Masahiro views her with a kind of reverence for fighting her way out of bondage and holding onto the light without letting it consume her and drive her away from reason.
Increased suspicion mars Masahiro's trust for Celevon, only dispelled by Empress Kaltani's unfettered trust for the man and reliance on him in her times of need. The man has, time and again, proven himself a capable weapon and reliable confidante, but the questions of how many secrets he holds, and for whom he holds said secrets quickly unsettles any who dig.
