Crescents are awarded for achieving first, second, or third place in an official, non-Vendetta competition. Rendered from solid shanks of hollinium, crescents are cast symbolically in the shape of the dark star eclipsing the Brotherhood homeworld of Antei. Each crescent is studded with jewels, ranging from quartz to diamond, dependent upon the crescent’s value. Some of these jewels are believed to be taken from the stores of Okemi and are embued with dark energy. The most active within the Brotherhood possess quite a collection of crescents.

Tiering

Crescents do not have quantity upgrades, but are divided into five tiers based on the scope and popularity of the competition they are awarded for. All crescents are automatically awarded by the Brotherhood database when a competition organizer judges and closes a competition.

The crescent tier awarded for a competition is automatically upgraded one tier when the competition receives at least (10) participants. Crescents may also be upgraded for parent competitions comprised of at least three individual events. Finally, crescents are downgraded one tier for low effort competitions involving flash and mobile gaming. Any questions or conflicts should be directed to the Master at Arms.

First Level

These elite crescents are reserved for Brotherhood-wide competitions hosted by members of the Dark Council or those special events, such as the Independence Games, which garner large numbers of participants.
