The Night Hawks is a Battle Team within House Marka Ragnos of Clan Naga Sadow. The current Battleteam leader is Krath Tetrarch Zaxen Dauketrenal Isradia.

Mission

The Night Hawks are Special Operations and Warfare organization. Operators of the organization are trained for both tactical team and solo missions which include but are not limited to assassination, espionage, counter-espionage, intelligence, reconnaissance, combat search and rescue, surgical strikes, insurgency, political destabilization, psychological warfare, urban and non-urban warfare, guerrilla warfare, aerial and space combat piloting, and various support operations.

Each member is honed into an agent capable of controlling and influencing any environment they are placed in by capitalizing on their extensive Force training mixed with conventional weaponry and warfare tactics.

History

Time of bliss

Trevarus Caerick also known as Shan Long originally founded the Night Hawks as a Krath Phyle once he came to Clan Naga Sadow. Leading the Phyle was his first ever leadership task, and he exceled in it bringing the Night Hawks to a name that would be feared and whispered throughout the halls of Naga Sadow. With him there were also four members, Enerum Shka, Tavf Ran-Kai Alithial, Fova Wasi, and Stacia Jasbeec. The Night Hawks first ever mission was to raid a Jedi library on Antar IV, from which we recovered the Holocron of Antar IV (played against competition from the Cimerri Sect Phyle), they excelled and obliterated the oposition.

The next mission was to explore the ruined Krath war-base under the ice of Loki. Encountering the ancient Krath spirits that lived in the base, the Night Hawks were forced to flee as the whole edifice came crashing down on their heads.

After the mission on Loki, Shan Long became House Marka Ragnos Aedile and then Quaestor and later even Consul. Tavf Ran-Kai Alithial took over the Phyle as Tetrarch and soon after advanced through the ranks as his succesor, Daihok took over the Phyle.

The Night Hawks were active during the K'hamar'an Crisis. During a Phyle war the Night Hawks obliterated the Mystics of the Dark Arts of House Gladius, Clan Tarentum, under Tetarch Shae-Lynn Jade.

For three months after the Phyle war the Night Hawks were renamed to the Night Raptors. It was changed back to Night Hawks by Shan Long after he returned from the Dark Council.

Nightfall

"I am disgusted with the activity generated from within this unit as it is non-existent."
―Mejas Doto, on Phyle activity

During Tetrarch Mejas Doto's first reign (March 2000) there were during his second reign the Phyle was largely inactive. From the reports generated at the time it is seen that there was no interest for activity within the BT. Except of a couple of competitions no major achievements have been done. Mejas Doto moved, soon after his last report, to Clan Arcona.

Korras' reign didn't bring much change in activity. From the few reports he gave out it can be seen that very little was accomplished in ways of motivating members.

Muz Keibatsu Sadow's (Muz Ashen at the time) leadership was marked by the 7th Great Jedi war, as was Arion Sunrider's and Tissaya Sadow's. Muz activated the long dormant Phyle and during the war, although not amongst the leaders, the BT was fully active and assisting their House and Clan.

The Hilt and Blade

THIS SECTION UNDER REVISION!!

With the Battle Team leader known as the Sword of Ragnos within the Disciples of Ragnos, it only seemed fitting that her two hands who help her watch over her members be named accordingly.

The Hilt

The Hilt’s job is also to inform the Sword of happenings within the team and the teams’ missions. They are the official keeper of the documents and records pertaining to the Night Hawks, and as such have a strong idea and relationship with the history of the team. However not only do they look to the past but to the future. They are responsible for making sure that if any mission deems Night Hawk worthy, they inform the Sword, and help make the necessary arrangements for the team to go into action, which can be considerable, as normally the Night Hawks work in Stealth, along side other members of the Clan, providing assistance. They are responsible for teaching the Night Hawk Members the history of the Team and all the hidden locations and treasures that can be used should they ever be separated from the team and need a safe haven. They are required to come up with competitions pertaining to these safe houses, and accesses, as well as anything that helps to build up the teams Elite history. They are also required to maintain a look out for Night Hawk Members on IRC and inform them of certain orders, and remind them of competitions currently going on.

The Blade

What sets the Blade apart from the Hilt, is that they are also to go looking for those members who are deemed by the Sword as being inactive and on the warning list of being removed from the Night Hawks. They are one of the last links to keeping the invited members in the elite team. While searching out the inactive members, they are also required to assist in making sure that the Night Hawks Elite fighting style is upheld. They are in charge of making sure the newer members are exposed to this style, and help to make sure there are plenty of opportunities for new and old members alike to test and hone their skills. They are also required to submit at least one competition a week that tests the Night Hawk Members “fighting” skills. This can be written comps, graphics, games, designs, whatever they think they can come up with that will hone the skills of the Night Hawk members. They are also required to maintain a look out for Night Hawk Members on IRC and inform them of certain orders, and remind them of competitions currently going on.

The Armor

Original Armor

A Night Hawks elite

The Night Hawks have their own armor design that they use on missions.

Its a basic stormtrooper design. It deflects low-powered bolts, stun bolts and protects against shrapnel. The suite underneath is sealed tight on the wearers body and protects him against hazards. With a helmet on the wearer could survive in space for a total of 10 minutes with the extra air package on the back. This is why the helmet is standard issue for missions. The whole armor, including the under suite are resistant to fire.

The gloves house a grappling hook and launcher on the right arm, a slicer device and hold out dagger in the left. The boots house two WESTAR-34 blaster pistol for emergencies.

4 canisters, for food, water, ammo and first aid, hang on the belt. The belt itself can carry 4 extra ammo batteries for pistols.

The food canister consists mostly of protein bars as they have all the nutrients needed for away-missions.

The ammo cannister holds 5 extra blaster rifle and/or pistol batteries.

The helmet is the main part of the whole armor. It is equipped with an internal communicator, an interchangeable view screen with 3 views; Infra Red, Thermal and Normal, additionally Normal view can be adjusted for more or less contrast; and an HUD screen is also installed inside the helmet. The HUD shows a complete tactical view of what the wearer sees. It can identify living beings from machinery and humanoid sentients from animals. During a battle the HUD points out all visible targets in the field of view.

The armor is currently being re-designed and updated to fit the spec-ops status of the Night Hawks.

Current Armor

The new Night Hawks armor, an improvement upon the original design, has all of the old features, but also has many new ones on top of it.

Keeping its basic stormtrooper design, the armor itself has been upgraded to deflect not only the low-powered bolts, stun bolts, and shrapnel protection, but it now will deflect a higher powered bolt, though it may still cause a slight sting on the skin depending on which part of the armor it hits. The suit underneath remains the same, for there was really no need to change it. The air supply in the package on the back has been increased from 10 minutes to 30 minutes to give the wearer time to get out of whatever situation they are in, so the helmet is required, once again, for all missions. Because of the same materials being used in the construction of this armor, it, along with the under suit, remain resistant to fire.

The gloves, like the previous model, contain a grappling hook and the launcher on the right arm. However, an added feature to the new model of armor, there is now a backup grappling hook located on the sleeve of the right arm. It is not to be used in an emergency because of the location of it, it does take a bit longer to get set up, as you must hook it up to the launcher that is already installed on the armor. The left still holds the slicer device, though it has been sharpened, and a hold out dagger.

The boots, while becoming a bit less bulky, still hold the two WESTAR-34 blaster pistols for emergencies.

The belt has been given more holding spots for added supplies. It now holds up to 7 canisters which can be used for any of the following: food, water, ammo, or first aid supplies. It is also still able to hold the 4 extra ammo batteries for the pistols.

The food canisters remain the same, holding mostly protein bars, which contain all of the nutrients required for the away missions.

The ammo canisters also remain the same, able to hold up to 5 extra blaster rifle and/or pistol batteries.

The helmet has been greatly improved upon due to the likelihood of night missions. The internal communicator remains the same. However, the interchangeable view screens have changed. There is now one added into the previous 3 now having 4 different interchangeable view screens: Infra Red, Thermal, Night Vision, and Normal. The Normal view, as before, can be adjusted for more or less contrast. The HUD screen has been upgraded greatly to increase what can be seen by the wearer. It will, as before, show a complete tactical view of what the wearer sees and can identify living beings from machinery and humanoid sentients from animals. One of the upgrades, for those using blasters, is an ammo counter so you know when you need to change out the battery in your weapon. During a battle the HUD points out all the visible targets in the field of view but now also includes a full tactical overview including what weapons the opponent is using.
