| == Origin ==
| | Formed in 36 ABY under the command of Kris Vander the Warpigs were assigned to the NSD Fey’lya’s Last Stand as its [[starwars:bomber|bomber squadron]]. Over the years the squadron has seen a greater pilot turnover than any other squadron in the K.U.D.F as there antiquated Y-Wings took vast amounts of punishment resulting in a large number of pilot deaths. The squadron is comprised of 12 pilots, their respective astromech droids and a compliment of six [[starwars:Mon Calamari|Mon Calamari]] support personnel and are currently led by Captain Aren Finn. |

| Call of Freedom Squadron or COFS, started as a group of four friends who made up a very successful smuggling operation. On their travels they met a young pilot named Kris Vander. Kris was the son of [[starwars:Jon Vander|Commander Jon Vander]] who flew with the Rebels as Gold Leader in the [[starwars:Battle of Yavin|Battle of Yavin]]. Kris Vander flew with them for a few years before leaving to join the [[Kotahitanga-Unity Defense Force]]. When a deal with a [[starwars:Hutt|Hutt]] boss went sour, smugglers decided to end their operation and retreat to a distant world. They found [[New Tython]]. They set up homes in the outskirts of [[Menat Ombo]]. The four were all very skilled pilots but became restless only after a few years. When the [[Kotahitanga-Unity Defense Force]] asked them to pilot their Y-Wing squadron, they jumped at the chance to get back into the action. Vander, who was in command of the Y-Wing squadron, decided to make each of them a flight Leader. The squadron is relatively small. There aren't many support staff due to the fact that the crew repair and maintain their own ships. This makes for a very close bond between ship and pilot.

The Y-wing can also carry 20 proton bombs. The wedge-shaped cockpit and Guidenhauser ejection system was placed on the front of the craft, with the central spar containing the Novaldex power generator extending behind it. Thiodyne 03-R cryogenic power cells and ionization reactor supplemented the Novaldex generator. Two 2 Koensayr R200 ion jet engines, rated at 250 KTU and capable of 70 MGLT were attached to either side of the spar. |

| COFS are primarily a bomber squadron. Although they can be deployed against an offensive attack, due to the age of the bombers, this would only be as a last resort to defend New Tython. The squadron can be deployed on a large scale with escort fighters or on a much smaller scale as a stand-alone unit. The bombers can hold up well against enemy attacks, and can still complete the mission while taking heavy damage.

| After COFS gets briefed on their mission, the members retreat to their quarters. They gather at the mess hall and enjoy what they call their "last meal." They use this as a time to loosen up. They enjoy their favorite foods and always have a drink to celebrate the life they had. When asked why this time is important to them, one pilot replied: "We use this time to reflect and enjoy our lives. We never know what mission will be our last. So, we treat every mission like it's our last. It energizes us. Then before we leave to tend to our ships, our Captain says ‘Make this last one count.' At first we laughed, now it gets us pumped!"
