Nighthawk is a Battleteam that serves under the House Summit of House Galeres. Their main focal point lies with the AGV Nighthawk, a heavily modified vessel used as a mobile base of operation for the Dajorra Intelligence Agency. It is equipped with a cloaking device as well as an impressive hangar bay not usually seen on an Agave-class picket.
Introduction
- "“There is no other ship or crew, who, at the dying of the light, I would trust completely with my House and my life."'"
- ―Atyiru's Creed
The Nighthawk, crew and ship, is in direct service to the Dajorra’s Intelligence Agency (DIA), and as such, the AGV Nighthawk acts as the forward operating base of the Intelligence Agency. It is responsible for the maintenance of Arcona’s spy network, informants and intelligence gathering. Reporting to the Director of Dajorra’s Intelligence Agency, the Captain of the Nighthawk has developed a reputation of knowing far more than many of the Dark Jedi within the Brotherhood. Needless to say, this makes them quite uncomfortable because they are unsure how much is truly necessary for her to know.
Though it is staffed primarily by those not sensitive to the Force, the Nighthawk boasts an impressive compliment of Galeres-aligned Dark Jedi holding various roles throughout the ship. The on-board Chain of Command holds absolute authority; the crew will show respect for members of the Brotherhood aboard the ship, but they will only take orders from their direct superiors.
Connection with the DIA
The Nighthawk serves as the Shadow Lord’s eyes and ears, but it also serves as the DIA’s mobile command when the Last Light is not readily available. Under the command of the Director, and having been specifically requisitioned with stealth and intelligence work in mind, the Nighthawk fulfills missions that would be too dangerous or impossible for other ships in the fleet.
The entirety of the crew is under specific orders that state that any information brought aboard the Nighthawk is to remain confidential. All reports to the Director go directly through the Captain, who acts as the vessel’s final word in any situation.
The Nighthawk carries out missions requiring an array of specialties including: the tasking and collection of informants in enemy space, as well as the reconnaissance of rival houses, clans and enemies abroad.
Nighthawk Combat Action
Operation: Sojourn:
Operation Sojourn
Nighthawk Run-On
The AGV Nighthawk, then captained by Teroch Erinos Arconae, played a critical role during Operation Sojourn. Once it was discovered that the key to curing the Cythraul was a plant known as ‘Blood Cups,’ the Shadow Lord Marick Arconae instructed Teroch and his crew to secure the remedy, whatever the cost. Along with the entirety of the Nighthawk crew, the elite Soulfire Strike Team was assigned to the Agave Class Picket for combat support during the mission.
Using the BAC Darkest Night as cover after a hyperspace jump, the AGV Nighthawk made use of it’s highly advanced stealth technology to peel away from the larger ship and made it’s way towards Millinar, where it was discovered the ‘Blood Cups’ were located. The order of events was simple; the Nighthawk would remain cloaked in orbit above the planet while Soulfire Strike Team members made their way down to the planet’s surface to recover the cure. Once recovered, they would return to the ship and plot a course back to the Dajorra system.

Begeren:
During the events on Begeren, the AGV Nighthawk patrolled the sector under cover of the Stygium cloaking device to relay information to and from agents of Arcona and the Serpentine Throne. Several members of the crew that were trained in feats of combat were deployed to the surface in attempts to secure key points and artifacts of power to allow Arcona a steady victory and claim the planet as their own. Among the crew sent to fight for the Shadow Clan, the ship’s former Commander, Teroch Erinos Arconae, and Chief Engineer Sight Nortorshin proved their mettle repeatedly before they were recalled to the Nighthawk to assist Arcona in other means throughout the sector.

Hawk Tales:
Hawk Tales Volume #1!
While on routine patrol, the crew of the Nighthawk intercepted a rather strange transmission. While performing the standard decryption algorithms, which Azler Wilder was assisting with, they discovered that the transmission was a coded message.
Hawk Tales Volume #2!
The Nighthawk was tasked with identifying the individuals responsible for multiple cargo ships going missing on the outer portion of the Dajorra system. When finally confronting the group of pirates responsible the crew were denied any support vessels and ordered to eliminate the threat by whatever means necessary. Specialist Darkblade formulates a plan to send a member of the Special Forces team outside the vessel in a daring trick maneuver, the Nighthawk would appear to be destroyed by the enemy forces, become cloaked and retreat as the Special Forces member uses debris to cover their approach to the enemy vessels planting explosives capable of crippling the enemy ships.
Antar Locke volunteers for the mission. Though the mission is a success he sustains significant injury due to exposure to vacuum and requires additional time for recover. With the Pirate threat eliminated Nighthawk resumes it’s responsibilities until Hawk Tales #3!

Crew Sections
CIC / Bridge
The Command Section is ultimately responsible for the welfare of the ship and the crew. They have proven themselves able to make decisions under pressure and to decisively organize and mobilize the crew to perform various mission types. The Command Section consists of the Captain and the Executive Officer(XO).
Captain
The Captain’s primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of their ship and crew, but the position also requires the frequent use of sophisticated diplomatic, strategic, and interpersonal skills. The Captain has to be able to balance the varied roles they must carry out every day.
A captain is charged with two main responsibilities. The first, and most important of these, is the effective and safe operation of their ship and crew. A captain’s actions and personality must inspire loyalty in the crew under his/her command; staff can become disaffected and mutinous when they lose respect for their leader’s decisions. Secondly, captains are expected to be inventive and spontaneous military tacticians that are able to appreciate and act on any threat to the ship, or Clan Arcona. Captains must know when to take up arms and fight, and when to cut losses and run.
Executive Officer(XO)
The Executive Officer reports directly to the Captain. He/She is typically responsible for the management of day-to-day activities, freeing the Captain to concentrate on planning the unit's next move. In any event that the Captain is absent, the XO takes charge.
The XO manages the ship effectively and efficiently, making best use of the resources available. Section heads are required to report directly to the XO. The XO is the link between the Captain and the crew. It is his/her job to interrupt and carry out the orders of the Captain.
The current Executive Officer is: VACANT
Helm/Navigations
The Helm/Navigation Section is responsible for steering and plotting the course of the ship. They are also, at times, needed to be a lookout. They need a keen eye to detail and the ability to clearly and concisely communicate with the officer in charge of the bridge. The helmsman must be able to make split second decisions based on incoming orders, the data they are receiving via their console, and the visual display. The helmsman reports to the most senior officer on the bridge.
The current Helmsman is: Karth Orsai
Communications
The Communications Section is responsible for handling all incoming and outgoing messages aboard the ship through use of the Shotgun Hyper Transceiver. They are responsible for monitoring all communication frequencies. The Comm officer must have a keen ear and be able to pick up on subtle changes in the frequencies that could give away a vessel not visible by the naked eye or sensors.
The current Communications Officer is Nami Dalros
Operations/Sensors
The Operations Section is responsible for the allocation of energy, sensors, and the other day to day tasks of the ship. They are also responsible for maintaining the AI as well as working in conjunction with the AI to maintain the ships normal operations. Operations are even responsible for non-Engineering related maintenance of the ship. Another duty of Operations is monitoring the sensor systems of the AGV Nighthawk. The Operations Officer reports to the Chief Engineer.
The current Operations Officer is Senior Operative Finn Legain
Flight Deck
The Flight Deck Section is responsible for maintaining and launching any fighters or shuttles aboard the AGV Nighthawk. The Flight Deck Chief reports to the XO.
The current Flight Deck Chief is: Chief Gryden Carr
Armory and Cargo Hold
The Quartermaster is responsible for maintaining the armory and equipment aboard the AGV Nighthawk. He/She must ensure that all weapons and equipment is maintained and inventoried. While each crewman is responsible for the cleanliness and functionality of their weapons, the Quartermaster is responsible for inspecting the weapons after cleaning. The Quartermaster is also responsible for logistics aboard the AGV Nighthawk, including maintaining the cargo inventory. The Quartermaster reports to the Security Chief.
The current Quartermaster is: VACANT
The Nighthawk’s Talons
A recent course of action, instituted by Captain Cortel following the events of Operation: Resurgence, brought about the creation of the Talons. Cortel felt as though the ship required specialized troops capable of reacting to a variety of combat situations, including, but not limited to: repelling boarding parties, leading extraction crews, or eliminating informants as necessary. The first step was to convert the Special Forces troopers by assigning Dark Jedi with superior combat experience to oversee their training and development. Then secondly, splitting the compliment into two squads: one for infiltration and subterfuge, and the other geared towards full out aggressive and defensive combat with ground and ship borne enemies. The Talons report directly to the Captain of the ship, and in their absence, the Executive Officer.
The Talon’s are housed within the Flight Deck/Hangar;which is where their ongoing training, drills and equipment remain ever at the ready to launch on the Captain’s orders.
Section Chief: VACANT
First Talon Leader: VACANT
Second Talon Leader: VACANT
Encrypt/Analysis
The Encryption/Analysis Section is responsible for gathering, deciphering, and analysing data. They must be well versed in multiple different types of encryption softwares and have the ability to encode messages in such a way that they are nearly impossible to break. They are also responsible for searching for patterns in vast amounts of data to determine enemy plans and positions. The Encrypt/Analysis Chief reports to the XO.
The current Encrypt/Analysis Chief: VACANT
Information Retrieval
When one thinks of Information Retrieval, a picture of a Dark Jedi torturing a prisoner for information is often what comes to mind. As any good interrogator knows, torture is often not a dependable method of getting good intel. The Information Retrieval Officer must be able to read a prisoner and figure out the best way to to get the needed intel. They must be able to make some prisoners feel comfortable and willing to share information, as well as have the stomach required to cause an immense amount of pain that may be required to pull information from a prisoner. The Information Retrieval Officer reports to the Chief Security Officer.
The current Information Retrieval Officer is: VACANT
Medical
The medical section of the Nighthawk oversees those that require medical attention; either in the form of quickly helping the injured or giving treatment to those that require supervised health treatments. As a whole, the crew is required to monitor its own condition and report immediately to the med bay should symptoms arise that require analysis. There are also regular medical checkups performed whilst aboard when deployed for medium to long periods of time. The medical bay’s secondary purpose is to research and analyse foreign components and elements to be used either in medicine or for a scientific nature. The Ship’s Doctor is the only other officer, other than the XO, who can relieve the Captain of command. The Ship’s Doctor reports to the XO.
The current Ship’s Doctor is: VACANT
Engineering
Engineering, while located on the majority of deck four, is responsible for the overall workings of everything on the ship. The section is currently made up of five, highly-trained engineers, and is headed by the Chief Engineer. The Chief is the one who ultimately is responsible for the ship functioning correctly, as well as the actions of the engineers under his command.
Although they maintain the functionality of everything down to working heads, the engineers main responsibility is focused on six systems. The first system is the most important, the reactor and secondary reactor. Without a reactor, the ship would literally be dead in space because the reactor powers everything from the engines to life support. The second most important system is the ship’s computerized networks that control the operations of the ship. The third is the life support system, which allows the crew to live in the confines of space. The fourth major system is the communications system, which allows the Nighthawk to send and receive messages both from within the ship and outside of the ship. The fifth system is the Stygium Cloaking system, which allows the Nighthawk to accomplish her missions undetected. The final system of utmost importance is the flight control system. Without this system the Nighthawk would be unable to move. After the six important systems are working properly, engineering then goes down the list of systems in the order that the current Chief thinks are important. The Chief Engineer reports to the XO.
The current Chief Engineer is: Trevor Grinstro
Mess/Custodial
Mess/Custodial Section, at first glance, may not seem as important as the other sections, but they are integral to the success of any mission. “An army marches on its stomach.” This is as true today as it has ever been. Morale is extremely important because of the extended duration of the AGV Nighthawk’s missions. They are responsible for the meals and cleanliness of the AGV Nighthawk. They report to the Operations Officer.
Tactical/Security/Marines
Security aboard the AGV Nighthawk provides an important role in protecting the ship against external and internal threats. Its’ marines are trained to handle everything from investigating suspicious activities and crimes aboard the Nighthawk, to assisting the Information Retrieval Officer with interrogating any prisoners captured during missions, and even repelling any would-be boarders with deadly tactical efficiency.
Constant battle drills, run by the Security Chief, keep the marines at peak performance. The Security marines are organized into three shifts, with at least 5 marines on duty at any given time. The whole team is mobilized and ready during combat situations.
The Security Chief also functions as the Tactical Officer during combat situations. His console is tied into the Nighthawk's tactical and targeting systems, allowing him to point the Nighthawk's weaponry at any specific target ordered by the Captain or Executive Officer. The Security Chief reports to the XO.
The current Security Chief is: VACANT
