Description
Highest of the non-sacramental medal awards. This bestowment is a large cross of bronzium with runic inlay. Traditionally the cross, as it relates to the Force, represents The Four Stages of the Dark Side: Temptation, Imperilment, Submission, and Atonement. The cross is backed by bronzium lattice woven intricately around its four equal arms. The lattice represents strength and the complexity of character of those who receive this honor. The Grand Cross marks a member well on his way to greatness within the Brotherhood.
Awarded For
The Grand Cross is a medal that bridges the gap between the sacramental and regular merit awards. For one, it is given to those who have shown exemplary work in their position, demonstrating a keen understanding of their surroundings and helping to further their planned goals. However, for those having achieved an outstanding amount of general activity over the course of time, this award may also be given to reward such accomplishments.
