| Tarthos could be described as two planets; one hot, one cold. Though within the pull of [[Orian Major]] it is still too far away to support life fully and relies heavily on [[Orian Minor]] for extra sunlight. For most of the year Tarthos is stuck in bitter winter; its seasons are erratic and depend largely on its proximity to the lesser star. It experiences a rather unique ecology and, despite the cold weather, supports more life than most planets of similar temperatures. Being so far out from [[Sepros]] it was never colonised as intensively as Aeotheran during the days of the Sith Empire but still sports a few lone installations.
