The Cluster of Graphite (CG) is awarded for drawing, rendering, photo manipulating or otherwise producing graphics or multimedia and artwork through competitions, unit graphics and character graphics. The requirements detailed below outline the policies in practice regarding awarding these medals.
It is a crystaline carbonite disk strengthened through a lengthy curing process that gives it a matte black surface, with rings embossed to support nine refined and embedded vorsian crystals decorating it in a circular pattern.
Requirements
All Cluster of Graphite awarding activities are required to have an obvious and valid connection to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood or Star Wars universe. They must also take the form of one of the qualified activities below.
List of qualified activities:
- Participation in a graphics or multimedia competition
- Completing one of the activities listed
Competition Approval: Competitions must also pass the Herald Competition Approval Guidelines before being considered for Clusters of Graphite.
Graphics/Multimedia Competitions
For Graphics/Multimedia type competitions, one (1) cluster is awarded to every participant with a valid entry. All Clusters of Graphite in competitions are awarded automatically.
Bonus Clusters of Graphite:
Up to three (3) for participation in specific Graphics/Multimedia type competitions approved by the Herald staff:
- one (1) bonus clusters of graphite for a valid entry to a Clan or House level competition.
- two (2) bonus clusters of graphite for a valid entry to a Club level competition.
- three (3) bonus clusters of graphite for a valid entry to a Club level Vendetta event competition.
Additional activities
Additional activities that grant Clusters of Graphite are listed below. These are not awarded automatically but require the receiving member to send an e-mail to the Herald and Praetor to the Herald with the following information:
- Name and pin of the author
- Attached image/s in question
- Link to where it was used on the main site or wiki (in the case of character images or report graphics)
After Herald review, the Clusters will be processed manually.
Special note. The Herald is privy to remand or deny any graphics that are deemed not to be of a high enough quality or craftsmanship.
Warbanners, unit logos and report graphics
A non-Herald Staff member who completes a Warbanner, unit logo or report graphic for another member will receive, with Herald approval, one (1) cluster.
Note: The warbanner image must meet Herald quality standards. The Herald warbanner template must be used.
General graphics
General graphics are an overreaching category that includes, but is not limited to, character images, vehicle images, location images, and unique item images. A non-Herald Staff member who completes a "general graphic" for another member will receive, with Herald approval, two (2) clusters.
Note: The "general graphic" must be a fully colored/rendered image. A character image must meet avatar guidelines if applied to avatars. It must be free of charge.
