From overcoming addiction, hiding amongst enemies, and learning to channel and control the Force, Quejo has served himself first and others as he sees fit. An often snide and disgruntled being, the Obelisk has completely immersed himself in the Art of Lightsaber combat and the Darkside, mastering the destructive and erratic form of Vapaad and learning a plethora of Force techniques both devestating and corrupt. He has lead Fleets of Starships, battled the Yuuzhan Vong, Advanced through the ranks of the Grand Master's Royal Guard and trained members of the Brotherhood in the Dark Arts. Currently he serves Clan Plagueis as it's Roll Master, teaching and projecting his voice to the masses of the Clan as a hole, seeking to better himself as a Warrior and evolve as a Leader. His actions have granted him numerous awards and merits both on the field of battle and in the Summit chambers. A keen tactician and duelist, Quejo will undoubtedly continue to hunger for power and thirst for the blood of the opposition.

"I have blinded visionaries, destroyed warriors, and basked in darkness for the majority of my life. Enemies have been crippled and starships have been obliterated in my wake...I am the Sentinel and I cannot be defeated."
― Quejo Drakai Xyler

Character History

Slums of Nar Shaddaa

It was eighteen years before the battle of Yavin when Quejo was born in to a life of struggle and anguish. Upon opening his eyes for the first time he saw a crime filled world that would soon ensnare and enslave those whom he would grow to know and love. His father was a no good Smuggler and his Mother was a waitress in the 'Celestial Docks Cantina' (A bar adjacent to the Docking Bay where Smugglers would meet to barter or receive contracts for shipping). It wasnt long before the young boy grew to a wily teenager, learning the 'tricks of the trade' from his Father, when he actually saw him of course. The life of a Smuggler was full of adventure, excitement, and danger, more than enough appeal for a rambunctious child.

Quejo's Father, Durian aka: Furl (For his tightly coiled sense of humor and secure demeanor) would often take him on Smuggling runs aboard the YT-2400 Corellian Freighter nicknamed 'Maverick'. it was on this Ship that Quejo would spend most of his time, the Maverick being more of a home to him than Nar Shaddaa. However, he would frequently stay behind to help out his Mother on runs that his Father could easily handle himself. Among the many skills and traits Quejo had developed, his skill with a Blaster was un-paralleled to many his age. His quick thinking and reaction time made people green with envy, but, Quejo just figured it was a gift passed down through the bloodline.

More of a friend than a Parent, Furl too, started to become jealous of his Son. When his employers sought to hire the boy instead of him, a seasoned Veteran, he gave Quejo an ultimatum. He was either to stop Smuggling or be punished for his newly adopted life of crime by the docking authorities that were already on bad terms with the family. Quejo, unwilling to hault his operation told his Father that it was his time. The washed up has-beens would need to step aside or be trampled by the new blood. In a fit of rage, Furl struck his Son across the face and pulled his Blaster, only to be struck in awe as Quejo jammed his barrel in to his gut before his own barrel could even clear the holster.

Unable to pull the trigger, Quejo walked away, his jealous and disloyal father becoming but a stranger to him. Gradually the young Drakai began to develop a habit for Glitterstim. While it delivered a pleasurable telepathic boost and heightened state of mind, it was a weakness. Used for the sole purpose of forgetting, though, at times it would make him remember what he wished to erase from memory making the Spice both, a blessing and a curse. For years Quejo's life was dominated and controlled by his addiction. Forced to not only steal but to kill for a 'buzz'. It was around this time, he was approached by Jundo the Hutt and offered a secondary position as a Cutter.

Absolutely falling in love with the idea of being able to Cut his own Spice and transport it as he saw fit, Quejo agreed and started to walk an even darker path. Jundo was astonished by the profits, in turn, he would make Drakai one of his 'close friends' (which was more or less, making Quejo a business partner and head of the Spice Running Fleet known as the "Twisted Illusion").

A Deal Gone Wrong

"I'll give you one-hundred and fifty thousands Credits for your weapons. If you refuse...I'm afraid that you'll be arrested and your merchandise will be Imperial property."
― Captain Vusage

"My boss wants three hundred."
― Quejo Drakai

"Then there is nothing left to discuss."
― Vusage

"Bargon wan chee kospah Quejo killee hoohah"
― roughly translated, "There will be no deal Quejo, kill them"

"Tagwa ma lorda."
― translation - "Yes my lord" ~Quejo trying to make a deal with the renegade Imperials

It was now 4 ABY and Quejo was roughly twenty two years of age. The Battle of Endor had come and gone and the Empire had supposedly been defeated, or atleast weakened by the destruction of the second Death Star. Quejo, on the other hand, had business of his own. Jundo the Hutt had employed the Twisted Illusion Smuggling Syndicate to handle 'shady' dealings with a group of renegade Imperials. However, it wasnt for Spice, it was Black Market Weaponry. High-Class, High-Dollar merchandise. Quejo being a trusted partner was the first to be called and was the first to respond.

If the deal were to go wrong, Quejo was to kill the Imperials, take the Credits, and return to Jundo. Dealing with Imperials was never a flawless task as they were just as greedy and maniacal as the Hutts were. After what would seem to be an eternity of space travel, Quejo's tiny fleet met with an Imperial Cruiser known as the 'Minion'. It was a vessel controlled by Captain Vusage. He was a Scientist, mad but ingenious. Characterised by his dark gray suit of armor and prosthetic implants. Upon landing in the Hangar of the Minion, Quejo was met by Vusage and his group of Imperial bodyguards.

As the bartering commenced, and the deal went awry, Quejo was instructed by Jundo to break the deal and slaughter those upon the Vessel. Soon after the command, blaster fire erupted within the Hangar, claxons blared, and troops on both sides were killed. The fight appeared to be in the Twisted Illusion's favor as they mowed down the opposition, atleast, until Vusage beckoned for his personal and genetically altered Warlord. To Quejo's surprise, from one of the catwalks stood his Father. However, it was unlike before. Furl was donning a new look. His muscles were practically bursting out of his skin, veins on the vurge of exploding, eyes burning with hatred and ill-intent, wires and tubes running in to his head and spinal chord. He was a monster, equipped with a rocket launcher and unforgivingness.

Unable to match the might of his father, and after losing half of his men, Quejo made an executive decision, flee or be destroyed. Though, he was not looking forward to returning to Jundo empty handed. The Hutt would likely put a price on his head instead of flat out killing him, Jundo was one to enjoy watching people run from his might, only to be caught later down the line.

The Chase

"I'll kill the boy for free...We have a....troubled past he and I."

"U kulle rah doe kankee kung."
― translation - You are my kind of scum - Furl and Jundo the Hutt discussing the Bounty.

Jundo the Hutt was indeed displeased with Drakai, doing exactly what was forseen. Ten thousand credits would be awarded to the man or woman who could chase down Quejo and kill him. The price wasnt much as far as a Bounty was concerned, Jundo basically issuing a low price to mock, and insult his once esteemed associate. Feeling as if his own life was in danger, since Quejo had failed in destroying the Imperial Leader, Jundo met with Vusage and claimed that his hands were clean, that Drakai was working on his own behalf.

Vusage, enraged and seeking revenge, ordered Furl to accept the Bounty. Furl, already disowned his Son, killing him would be the only reward necessary. Anxious to find his 'former Son', Furl set out in his personal Starship also known as 'The Tainted Voyager', hoping that he could settle the score one way or another.

For roughly another year or so, Quejo bounced from System to System, seeking refuge from the Scoundrels that sought to destroy him. Taking up a secret identity, Quejo traveled to Eriadu, which happened to be under Imperial Control. Of course, the way he saw it, being close to the enemy meant being light years away. Over the next few years, Quejo began to develop the mind frame of an Imperial, even becoming a tad Xenophobic during his stay, owning a Twi'lek and Rodian Slave. Though, it wasnt long before his new life was torn asunder. Some how his true identity must've leaked out and he was located by Furl. Attempting to once again flee before the arrival of his Father, Quejo loaded his Vessel and prepped it for launch, however, his actions were cut off as Furl made his way in to the Eriadu Spaceport.

There was no conversation, merely intensity as the two became engaged in combat. During the fight, Quejo was badly injured and secured by Furl, taken by Shuttle to the Tainted Voyager. As his Father's Vessel made it's way to Jundo the Hutt and Vusage, Quejo managed to escape the Medical Lab and board an escape pod. As the pod jettisoned, Quejo, miraculously went un-noticed after dis-assembling the Computer which could track his position. How he survived such a turn of events is mind boggling, however, he always had a knack for getting out of sticky situations, it came with the profession. His journey seemed as if it were never going to end as he fought off infection and withdrawl. That is until he was picked up by a Ship bearing no Imperial or Republic insignia. It was an unmarked Vessel flying under the banner of an organization, a Brotherhood if you will. The Commanding Officer going by the name of Kir Taldrya Katarn.

History Within A Brotherhood

An Unfamiliar System, Soon To Be Home...

"Who are you, why am I here?"

"The boss saved your life. You're sensitive kid."

"Sensitive? I've killed people for calling me less"

"Force-Sensitive..."
― Quejo and a member of the Taldryan Fleet

After being examined and released from the infirmary, Quejo met some of the crew. One of the first members he met was Quarmador, a Barabel who had little care for the Human race. Though, Quejo wasnt much for Alien races himself. It was an intense moment but one that had passed after a brief conversation. Upon getting dressed, Quejo was approached by a Protocol Droid and briefed on the current situation. Whether he wanted to or not, this Ship was bound for Lyspair, the Brotherhood currently at War. As the Ship made it's way to the Antei System, Drakai thought heavily on what he had just been told. He wasnt entirely sure what the Force was but he felt a heavy darkness and lingering power aboard the Vessel of Taldryan. There was something strange, yet familiar about these feelings. Nevertheless he was dropped off at the Shadow Academy where he would supposedly learn to harness the power of the Darkside.

As he entered the grand hall of the Academy he was met by a cloaked Woman who didnt give her name, rather, gave her position and rank. All that Quejo knew was that she was a Dark Jedi Knight and an Eclectic Pedagogue, one of the many Instructors of the Academy. His first step down the dark path would take place in the Khar Shian school where he would learn general skills that would aid him during his Brotherhood tenure. A quick learner, it wasnt long before he was moved out of Khar Shian and in to Deneba where he would learn various lore and philosophies pertaining to the Force. It was quite difficult at first, however, when he had gained a basic understanding of what the Force was, it was much easier for him to tap in to it. The Deneba Campus is where he had a vision of himself becoming one of the most reknowned Lightsaber duelists in the Brotherhood.

Passing the Onderon Campus rather quickly, Quejo would move on to what would become his favorite part of the Brotherhood. Combat..Karana was where he learned how to use more than just a Blaster. He learned the mechanics of Lightsabers, How to tune Crystals, and Force Techniques which would heighten his fighting skills and awareness on the field of battle. His Instructor was amazed by his potential and passed him without a second thought. Time had passed and he was progressing in his Studies nicely, nice enough for him to be noticed and brought before the Headmaster of the Academy, Spears Tarentae. Being dubbed worthy enough to be placed in a Clan, Quejo was taken by Shuttle to his new home, Kr'Tal, which was the System that housed the Vessel which had saved his life some time ago.

A Brotherhood Within A Brotherhood...

Upon reaching the Kr'Tal System, Drakai was brought before his Quaestor Shadow Taldrya, Leader of House Dinaari. It wasnt long before Quejo was used to help quell the uprising of "Infected Jedi" during the Fifth Great Jedi War. Quickly rising through the ranks, Drakai had proved himself, time and time again, earning the respect of his Consul. During his stay in Clan Taldryan, he was dubbed the "Cohor Praetoria Taldryae" on more than one occasion for his commendable skill and prowess on the field of battle.

He had made many friends and even enemies in Taldryan, however, friends were obsolete and he decided to stick by himself. Often remaining quiet until approached with a task. Sadly, it was only a short ammount of time before Quejo decided to leave Clan Taldryan in order to pursue a greater knowledge and understanding of the Dark Side.

Kir was enraged that Quejo left Clan Taldryan, marking him a traitor, banning him from the Clan that gave him so much. Of course the grudge would be later settled when Quejo explained his actions to his former Consul, shedding some light on the situation. After careful consideration, Quejo joined a new Clan soon after being confronted by a Zabrak of unholy power Mejas Doto. Drakai would make his new home Clan Arcona. Little did he know he would soon be making history and quite an impact within the Dajorra System.

A Legacy Is Born...

Quejo after initiating "Project Foundation."

Quickly upon his arrival to Dajorra, Quejo was named a Flight Leader of Shadow Dragon, a Battleteam which was tasked with the protection of House Oriens Obscurum He would show his skills as a true leader, Shadow Dragon winning countless battles. His ability to lead and project his voice to the masses soon caught the attention of the newly appointed Quaestor of Oriens Obscurum, Syn Kaek. Kaek would later approach Drakai with Halcyon Rokir the Consul and discuss his vision and leadership abilities. The three spoke of the future of Clan Arcona and House Oriens Obscurum...Kaek soon after appointing the young Drakai his Aedile and successor.

For quite some time, Kaek would teach the young Drakai what it meant to be a Leader and what it meant to be a Quaestor within Arcona and the Brotherhood. It wasnt long before Quejo was deemed worthy of taking the reigns of Oriens Obscurum as it's Quaestor. Quejo would lead Oriens Obscurum with an Iron Fist, his vision expanding throughout Clan Arcona.

House Galeres soon became one of the Summit's main focusses and if it were to re-open it would need a Quaestor. Quejo, being the Leader he was, left Oriens Obscurum in the able hands of his Aedile Octavian and soon became the Quaestor of House Galeres with Gavin d'Tana being named his Aedile. Together they would work to re-establish Galeres' place in Clan Arcona, making it the most dominant House Arcona had seen in years. Project Foundation was in affect. Quejo and Gavin plotted to make Galeres the very Foundation of Clan Arcona, successfully bringing Soulfire back from the ashes and rebuilding the bases of the House. Quejo, creating the Blueprints of what would soon become it's main Structures.

Strategos, the new Consul of Arcona was pleased with Drakai's design and began construction at once, Quejo's abilities shining as he lead Galeres down the road to Victory for quite some time. Due to the fact that Quejo was held in high regard, he was soon dubbed the Sovereign Imperator of the Arconan Fleet.

Quejo continued to lead House Galeres through many trials and tribulations, some despising his Leadership techniques, others respecting them. Wanting to further himself and help Clan Arcona on a much larger scale, Quejo, now carrying the title di Tenebrous Arconae ascended to the position of Proconsul. Hatred and jealousy began to rear it's ugly head as he started to crack down on the Mutinous Sects that threatened his position. Being marked paranoid and dilusional he was slowly losing the respect of the people and left, cursing Arcona to the grave. He hated what Arcona had become and wished that it's so called 'Leader' would burn in the flames of their own ego...Nothing would change and he knew it..In the wake of his departure certain members left with him, knowing that what had happened to him was wrong.

Searching For Redemption In Satal Keto...

Hatred consumed Drakai as he left Clan Arcona, soon joining House Satal Keto of Clan Plagueis. It wasnt long before he was once again made a Leader...This time he became the Quaestor of Satal Keto, once again rebuilding a House from the ashes, restoring a crumbling foundation with a new, implementing a stronger system..

After resigning from Quaestor, he became the Battleteam Leader of Galthain, mentoring to the new members of the Clan. He fought hard to make Plagueis a Clan to be reckoned with but found little comfort in knowing that the decisions the Consul was making were wrong. He confronted the Consul at the time and was banned from the Clan for having a differing opinion. This in turn causing him to wander the Galaxy until seeking refuge in Clan Naga Sadow.

A Warrior Takes Control Of Marka Ragnos...

Soon after joining House Marka Ragnos Quejo was appointed the Quaestor position and learned a great many thing's. For one, his power had greatly been increased when the Consul Macron Goura Keibatsu taught him the way's of Sith Alchemy, Quejo quickly learning and Mastering the technique of Crystallography and Metallurgy. These skills would aid him in the War which was quickly approaching known as the Vong Invasion.

Soon after becoming Quaestor of Marka Ragnos, the Vong Invaders struck Antei. The Clan's were blind-sided as living machines ripped into the fleet of the Brotherhood. Quejo, leading his troops into battle killed many Vong, his war effort granting him the rank of Sith Warlord. Once retreating deeper into the Shroud, exhaustion set in and he stepped down from his position. Dark Jedi Master Shan Long once again taking command of the House.

Quejo, feeling as if his work was complete, slipped into self-exile before receiveing a message from one of his enemies, Zandro Savric Erinos It was a call for aid.

A Rogue Comes Home...

After being summoned by his now, former Enemy. Quejo once again sat at the helm of Legacy as he reluctantly returned to the Dajorra System. He was prepared to help Clan Arcona re-establish their place within the Brotherhood. For too long he sat back, watching as his Clan became ruined by bad decisions, crippled by the weak whom claimed to be "visionaries"

It is now he lurks in the Shadows, offering Council and advice to those who request it, impatiently waiting for his moment to shine once more.

Much is unknown about the Grand Masters Royal Guard. Those who know nothing of the Guard refrain from even asking, not out of politeness....But out of fear. Soon after joining Clan Arcona, Quejo was approached by the Commander of the Guard himself. The Commander was known as Demosthenes and became very intrigued with Drakai's performance. Drakai would be inducted but not until undergoing a series of trials, both lethal and difficult.

Meeting within the Meditation Chamber of the Guard, Quejo was tasked with duelling a high ranking member of the task force. The fight ensued and after a hard fought contest, Quejo was defeated, left to die in a pool of his own blood. This of course was haulted as he was once again risen. This apparent death was a metaphor, for he would need to die in order to be born anew under the banner of the Grand Master. Krath Priests all gathered within the Chamber and began to clear the Xylers mind of things which could prove to be a hinderance later down the road.

The process was painful but he would endure. This would complete the second test. For if he were to endure now, his chances of enduring later would be far greater. With this he was initially taught how to completely dissipate his Force Signature...To walk as a Shadow unseen. An emotionless Assassin, bred to kill.

After the brainwashing process, Quejo was initiated. He was given his Inductee Armor and forced to recite the oath of the Guard. Countless wars would arise, including the war which would include an empowered Jac Cotelin and his Clone and a ruthless attack by Vong Invaders. After proving his worth to the Guard, Quejo finally ascended to the rank of Sentinel II where he would receive his new Armor, blue and durable, just like he was. However, once the new Grand Master was appointed, the Guard was no more.

No one knows what the Guard is doing or if they will ever again show their faces. But Grand Master Sarin will soon declare a new system, a system that will ensure the Royal Guards survival.

Velosian Needler

File:VelosianNeedler.jpg
Velosian Needler.

This Spear was hand crafted on the planet Concord Dawn and made for one purpose...Hunting. The Velosian Needler contains a long hollow shaft that is ribbed for better grip. To enhance agility and control with the weapon, the center is wrapped with a black leathery substance that is almost sticky to the touch. The blade of the Spear is rather long and extremely sharp, about the length of a short sword. Flowing from the shaft to the Spear-head is a series of small tubes resembling wires. These tubes pump a lethal dosage of Venom from the hollow shaft to the tip of the Spear upon activation. With practice, the wielder can actually limit the ammount of poison injected into the prey. The Venom can cause hallucinations and chronic pain which can hinder the performance of a variety of Sentients. On the blade itself is a series of tiny needle like teeth which actually houses the Venom once activated (hence the name). The Weapon itself can be broken down and slipped into a Sheathe for easier travel or storage.
