Markosian City is the Capital of Tarthos, and hold the major starport for anything and everything coming in and out of Tarthos.
Overview
Markosian City is the Seat of Power in Tarthos, with a population of nearly 250,000. Located almost perfectly on the equator, it experiences almost even dark and light periods, and for a few weeks each year the weather can almost be described as tropical. The gubernatorial mansion is in Markosian City, and it is also home to all government services on Tarthos. It here here that the appointed Governor of the Dlarit Corporation executes his command and control of all operations and residents on Tarthos. A garrison of 18,000 troops is always on Temporary Duty Assignment to Markosian City from Kar Alabrek. They are at the direct command of the Mayor of Markosian City, who is appointed by the Governor.
Though small in population on a planetary scale, the city itself is quite expansive, with a land area able of accommodating a populace 9 times its current size. A planned city, Markosian City has five zones, each accessible only through a checkpoint, with military troops stationed at each checkpoint to prevent unauthorized entry and exit. The zones are determined by the distinct functions they serve, with each segmented by a shield controlled by the generator within that zone.
Five planetary shield generators are installed in Markosian City, providing both protection from attack and planetary weather control. Because the atmosphere within the city is maintained as a different concentration of gases (more oxygen, less nitrogen) than the rest of the planet, a bubble appears to dome the city. Central control for the shield generators is housed within the Black Zone, and restricted to high-level government officials and military personnel.
Zones

Red
The red zone is actually the largest out of the 5. It encompasses most of the city, considering that it is the residential zone for the city.
Ashen Meadows
Some of the nicest residences in the city. These houses are the closest to mansions as the populous can get without going to the hills. These houses have a more modern appeal to them than the houses of the river or the houses of the hills, with large arches and more marble-like textures.
Firefox Hills
Named for the way the sun strikes the hills in the morning and evening, as well as for one of the great Grand Masters of the Brotherhood. The residences on Firefox Hills are the elite locations, composing of large mansions that are older architecture than that of the other regions of the city, with large cathedral ceilings and hanging lights the homes of Firefox Hills are as breathtaking as they are expensive.
Ath’ael River
An ancient river that runs alongside the city, the houses here are much older and have a mixture of old designs and architecture with the more modern designs as younger families move in. The Ath’ael river was once the main district of the city as it grew until the city was redesigned into its current design.
Blue
The Blue Zone is home to the gubernatorial mansion, as well as the offices for other government officials in Markosian city. Additionally, schools, both public and private, and universities are located within the Blue Zone, in an attempt to instill civic pride in their graduates.

The mansion is very large and takes up a decent portion of the blue zone. It is a large building of Star Destroyer white, that has 2 levels above ground while also 3 below ground. The 2nd floor is used as a private residence for the Governor and their family, while the first floor is for the offices and various briefing rooms. The First sub-basement level is for the various war time offices and war rooms. The Second sub-basement is the Governor Security Force Headquarters. The Third Sub-Basement is the bunker that the Governor, family, GSF, and other higher authority officers can stay in the event of an attack.
GSF Headquarters AKA Night Raptors Headquarters
Located on the second level of the Gubernatorial Mansion’s sub-basement, the Night Raptors HQ is an impressive complex spanning nearly half if not all of the second level. With the primary entrances available through two service elevators and a series of stairs located at specific entrances, the Raptors are secluded from prying eyes. With large living quarters the members of the Battleteam are well kept aside from their respective homes and quarters outside of the mansion.
Near the center of the Battleteam’s HQ are the war room and sparring chambers. The latter specifically designed for hand-to-hand training it does also support lightsaber duels with the supporting walls and floors designed from lightsaber resistant materials as well as being extremely fortified to ensure safety to those outside the chamber. The war-room is designed specifically to co-ordinate the Battleteam and House military when necessary; with the Night Raptors more often than not operating as a Special Operations team and taking the lead in combat, the Battleteam will help direct combat or will often be directed by the Aedile and Quaestor from this chamber.
Located nearest the war-room and sparring chambers are the changing rooms and armoury; although the team shares much of its weaponry with the rest of the House and Clan, the team’s personal weapons and armour are located here for safe keeping and due to the fact they spend most of their time here as opposed to anywhere else.
With their cover story set as a personal guard to the Governor, many of the service elevators lead to the major regions of the Gubernatorial Mansion. Specifically one or two of the elevators lead to a garage and hanger for the team to get vehicles for their rapid deployment when necessary.
Orian Memorial Hospital
Formerly the Sanctuary General Hospital, the Orian Memorial Hospital is one of the largest and most well known hospitals in all of Markosian City and Tarthos. As one of the foremost hospitals on Tarthos, many of the professionals are somewhat force sensitive and have used their powers to help accelerate the healing of their patients.
Sapphire Collegiate
The home of the Mighty Seals, this Collegiate is home of some of the greatest minds on Tarthos. With some of the largest fraternities and sororities on the planet, the Mighty Seals are heavyweights compared to all the schools especially during the annual Markosian City Pub-night.
University of Central Tarthos
A school that’s spawned some of the brightest politicians, business-people and officers that the galaxy has ever seen. With scholarship options and internship offers available from the Dlarit Corporation, UCT is one of the strongest schools available to those young adults that want to enter their field of choice faster than that of their colleagues.
Green
The Green Zone of Markosian City provides an outlet for all goods, from bargain stores to grocery stores, retailers are located within this zone.
Win-Mart
A large chain developed by the Winglen family, based off of wholesale stores. The Win-Mart chain can be found in every large city across Tarthos, and even employs more people than any other company planet-side. Dlarit beats them on the extra-planetary scale however.
Territory
Territory is a food company, servicing the largest area of Tarthos for all your food needs. With a large number of smaller companies beneath them and their largest rival being the Win-Mart Superstores, Territory takes their name seriously in the food industry.
Priceco
A large wholesale company that keeps its doors open to both the public and the resellers, small business owners and the general public only need to pay a small membership fee to ensure that they have access to all the available items. With large carts, large items and large sales the customers leave pleased daily.
Yellow
Whether holo theaters or bordellos, all forms of legal entertainment (and some illicit forms as well) are located within the yellow zone. In addition to entertainment, other services (such as tattooists, spas, etc.) can also be found in the yellow zone.
Cineplex Orian
One of the largest cinema companies on Tarthos; with a range of different cinema’s from the Cineplex 24 to the Coliseum, they’re name is one of the greatest to be found in Markosian City. Cineplex Orian cinema’s are always the first to have a new movie in their theatres or the first to showcase a large event.
The Luscious Lekku
A high-class Gentleman’s club sitting away from the more family oriented entertainment, the Luscious Lekku caters to the needs of the busy Governmental, Military and Dlarit representatives after a busy or hectic day. As a well established club, the Luscious Lekku also caters to couples as well as single men.
Playstation
A large arcade for the young and old, Playstation is focused on customer satisfaction giving you a “credit card” that allows either timed or actual credit play. Timed cards let you play any number of machines for an unlimited duration within an hour or more; compared to credit games where each machine will devour a portion of your credits.
Black
While soldiers are stationed city-wide, the barracks within Markosian City are located in the Red Zone. Within this zone, there is no civilian law, with all trespasses being tried under military jurisdiction.
Sector Five
A region of the Militarized zone named for its classified nature. Projects that occur in Sector Five are more often than not requisitioned and classified by the Governor of Tarthos and require the utmost attention and security around them, compared to the rest of the Militarized zone Sector Five is virtually impossible to enter without the right credentials.
Fort Keibatsu
Named for one of the largest and most influential families in the Clan, Fort Keibatsu is one of the major military installations of Markosian City. With the most up to date equipment and being stationed closest to the Secure zone, Fort Keibatsu is the first on call for any military needs as well as are tasked with defending the Governor’s palace in extreme circumstances.
Installation Theta
A secure installation hidden within the Militarized zone; tasked with keeping the Governor and all essential personnel alive during orbital bombardment or planetary siege, Installation Theta is one of many secure facilities located beneath the surface of Tarthos and accessible through Markosian City. Installation Theta is also accessible through a series of passages leading to the Governor’s palace.
