OPERATION: COBALT was a Clan conflict within Naga Sadow that occurred in 34 ABY. Members of the Clan were sent out to gather data from the planet about Dominion involvement there.
Prelude
Striking from unknown sources, a mysterious new enemy known only as The Dominion has surfaced. Their attack has left Naga Sadow beaten, but not defeated. The Clan's scouts have tracked The Dominion to a remote world, where the trail has vanished. Now, the Clan Summit has issued orders for the Clan to rebuild, to learn anything they can about this new enemy, and to prepare for war and revenge. They have sent their best agents to this world, known thus far only by it's Warhost code name of Cobalt, to begin their efforts.
Course of Events
The Sadowan retaliation begins brutally thanks to information recovered by Qyreia Arronen. After decoding the information procured, Locke Sonjie sets the Warhost fleet on a trajectory to an unknown system. As he summons Qyreia to the bridge, her efforts were rewarded by watching first hand as the KSD Damnation exited hyperspace. With the element of surprise, they have tracked down a Dominion warship that had been present and damaged during the attack on Sepros in Ashes Fall. The Damnation made quick work of the crippled enemy ship and signaled to The Dominion that Clan Naga Sadow was not to be trifled with. As Qyreia was dismissed it was made clear that the Clan was not finished just yet.
As The Dominion learned of the attack and its captured survivors, Morax Darkblade was given the opportunity to test his newfound skills in extracting information from unwilling figures. As he practiced and perfected his techniques he was able to glean much needed information from the many survivors of the attack. With this information Locke was able to give the Clan a briefing on their next target and what they hoped to achieve. Before this could happen, other events unfolding in the Brotherhood called Naga Sadow to attention.
The Sadowans retreated back to the Orian System as news reached that New Tython had been destroyed by Grand Master Darth Pravus and the Iron Throne. Harboring their own Jedi, Clan Naga Sadow had to think of their next course of action. Would they surrender to the Grand Master's wishes and eradicate the Jedi in their own midst, or would they defy him and harbour the Jedi with the intent to defend them at all costs?
In a stunning turn of events, Sanguinius rose to the position of Proconsul and proclaimed the Jedi order defeated and nothing but a whisper of the past. Although this placated the Grand Master for now, it would be seen if Darth Pravus would keep his anger in check for the betrayal of Clan Naga Sadow. The Sadowans had enemies everywhere, and were hard pressed to survive in their current status. Everything was a delicate dance on the edge of a cliff. One misstep would see them plummet to the abyss below and their enemies would not hesitate to crush them immediately.
