The Cluster of Ice (CI) serves as the counterpart to the Cluster of Fire and is awarded for exceptional performance in fiction competitions and the Antei Combat Center. The ditanium disk is treated by a special process that gives it a frosty coat, with rings embossed to support a stylized symbol of ice, and powdered sapphires to give a glistening appearance to the highlights. The cluster is meant to represent those fighters able to keep a cool head in battle, contrary to the fiery intensity exemplified in gaming. Those who boast quantities of both clusters are among the most cunning warriors and brilliant tacticians in the Brotherhood.
Requirements
Following the completion of a competition which has been approved in accordance with the Voice Competition Approval Guidelines, competition organizers must email the Voice fiction word counts or run on word counts (with limits per post) in order for Clusters of Ice to be awarded.
Fiction
The Cluster of Ice is awarded based on word count for qualifying fiction activities; one cluster for every 500 words of fiction. Because partial Clusters of Ice can now be tracked, there are no word count requirements on fictions to award Clusters of Ice for qualifying activities.
Qualifying fiction activities:
- Fiction competitions, although the Voice's office reserves the right to notify competition organizers that their competition may not be eligible for Clusters of Ice during the approval process.
- All "official" Brotherhood fiction updates, such as Brotherhood Plot updates and Vendetta fiction.
- All "official" Clan fiction updates, as submitted by the appropriate Consul to the Voice for approval. Must be published to discourse (forums), or a news report, with URL and dossier # of the author with word counts to the Voice's office. Fiction must be relevant to the Clan, advance the Clan fictional story forward in some manner and incorporate more than one member to qualify.
Antei Combat Center
Clusters are awarded for battles fought in the ACC. “0.5 clusters per combatant that does not time out” with the amount doubled when battles conclude and are judged. The following details yields for completed battles:

Occasionally, the Voice may offer additional Clusters of Ice for participation in specific competitions or events related to the ACC.
Run-Ons
Clusters of Ice are also awarded for valid entries into qualifying Run-On competitions, where the Voice's office reserves the right to notify competition organizers if their competition will not be eligible for Clusters of Ice during the approval process and note as such in the competition details for participants.
For all valid entries, Clusters of Ice are awarded at the same one (1) Cluster of Ice per 500 words of fiction, with a cap on the number of words that will be awarded at 500 words for each post a member makes. All excess words beyond this cap will go unrewarded, while insufficient words to meet 500 per post will result in less than one (1) Cluster of Ice per post. There is no maximum number of posts allowed in a Run-On, subjective to the specific requirements of the competition itself to be a valid entry, resulting in no maximum number of Clusters of Ice that can be awarded in a Run-On fiction event.
