- "There was a time I believed in peace. What a foolish child I was."
- ―Xen’Mordin Vismorsus, reflecting on his life after returning to the DB in 31 ABY
Sith Battlemaster Xen’Mordin Vismorsus, commonly known as Xen, is currently a member of House Scholae Palatinae. Born as Kilan Khzon, the traumatic events leading up to adulthood caused him to destroy that identity and assume that of Xen’Mordin. Having been trained to be a Jedi, he severed himself form the force in becoming Xen’Mordin, it was restored to him in a Sith Temple. The violent nature of this breaking and reforming of his connection to the force caused a severe multiple personality disorder. This was recently partly fixed into a whole, but like a broken mirror, it wasn’t perfect, and he still shows the signs of the disorder.
Following the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the Brotherhood systems, Xen disappeared into deep space onboard his personal ship The Shattered Phantom. Late in the year 31 ABY he returned to the Cocytus System onboard his ship, which had taken serious damage. His whereabouts and actions during this time are unknown. Following his return to Scholae Palatinae, he returned to leadership positions. Xen’Mordin is currently serving as the Quaestor of House Scholae Palatinae.
Character History
Pre-Dark Brotherhood
The Birth
- "Such a miracle in a galaxy of terror."
- ―Donlan at the birth of his son, Kilan
Early in the year 5 ABY, Xen’Mordin was born as Kilan Khzon on the planet of Coruscant. The galaxy was still in turmoil following the destruction of the Second Death Star, and the death of Emperor Palpatine in the previous year. Coruscant, which had been the home of the Galactic Capital for centuries, was in frenzy, yet Kilan’s family was still maintaining a relatively stable lifestyle. His father, Donlan, had been a successful and wealthy merchant for many years. His mother, Xisya, came from a wealthy family that owned many popular nightclubs. At the time of his birth Kilan had two brothers, Kiith, age 10, and Clertan, age 7; Kilan also had a sister, Sairia, age 4. Despite the chaos of the galaxy at large, the Khzon’s felt peace and happiness at the arrival of the newest addition of their family.
A Time for Change
- "The galaxy is in chaos. We are all but gone from the face of the universe and your son is needed to help maintain the presence of the Jedi."
- ―Tyler Reynolds, a Jedi Knight who survived Order 66 and hid in the undercity of Coruscant
Kilan spent the first years of his life in a very happy household, unaware of the conflict the galaxy was undergoing. As he grew older, he showed some signs of Force sensitivity. While all the actions that showed this were small, his family greatly ignored them, knowing full well what had happened to the Jedi during the rise of the Empire.
In the year 11 ABY, the same year the Jedi Praxeum opened, a man whom the Khzon’s did not know arrived at their home. He had felt the presence of Kilan through the Force. He introduced himself as Tyler Reynolds. With the rise of the New Republic, he had come out of hiding partially to train others in the way of the Force for he was Jedi, who had avoided Order 66. Along with wanting to train Kilan, Tyler had discovered one of his playmates, Kara, was also Force sensitive and it was decided she should be trained as well.
Their families agreed to let Kilan and Kara be trained, though somewhat reluctantly. Kilan’s older brother Kiith, who was now 16, was jealous, having heard the stories of the power that the Jedi had. Kiith had begged to be trained to be a Jedi, but Tyler would have none of it. The conflict this had caused in the Khzon household had made life uncomfortable at home, so Kilan was glad to leave for his training.
A New Start
- "Clear your mind. Feel the Force flow through you and the rest of the universe."
- ―Tyler Reynolds to Kilan and Kara
Kilan and Kara went off with Tyler Reynolds and separated themselves from their families. Tyler was friendly but strict in their education and training. Each were expected to not only learn combat, Force usage and political ideals, but also new languages, mechanics, and other various useful talents. Over the months and years Kilan grew to be very talented with mechanics.
Both Kilan and Kara relied on each other heavily, as Tyler still wasn’t much of a father for either of them. Without the support of family or many friends, they only had each other.
Love’s Fury
- "I love you."
- ―Kilan to Kara
In 21 ABY, at the age of 16, Kilan and Kara were still training under Tyler. They were in love with each other and Tyler seemed to ignore the obvious affection the two felt for each other. Tyler had also skirted around taking the two to the new Jedi Praxeum since all the years he had spent in hiding had made him somewhat paranoid. He felt that a group that large and focused of Jedi presented too much of a target.
Over the years the trio had moved from planet to planet, studying, working, advancing. Things tended to go very well, and the group never got in more trouble than they could handle. This time however it was different. Somehow, in the busy walkways of their home world of Coruscant, Kara got separated from Kilan and Tyler.
Kilan, somewhat frantic - as Kara had become a very beautiful young woman - ran off from Tyler to find her. He found Kara in an alley pinned to the ground, unconscious, by a group of thugs. As he saw the biggest of the thugs rip at Kara’s clothing Kilan felt a rage that he had never experienced before flow through him. With a flash he was down the alley and his lightsaber active. The group of thugs ran off in terror when the head of the large one rolled out of sight under a dumpster. Kilan prepared to chase after the rest but was stopped by Tyler, who had grabbed his arm. Tyler wore a face of mixed shock and disappointment.
Love’s Last Breath
- "This life is one best left dead and forgotten."
- ―Kilan Khzon
Having killed in a fit of rage, Kilan was kept under a watchful eye by Tyler. They stopped going out on more important missions. Things were kept low key for fear Kilan wasn’t in control of his emotions. Within a year of the event on Coruscant, Kilan and Kara were married. As Tyler started to regain his trust of Kilan, he made both Jedi Knights.
Kilan and Kara had heard of a major gang dispute on Nar Shaddaa. The two ventured there to prevent an all out street war on the planet. Although they were young, things went fairly well, but they did draw some attention to themselves. They had decided it was best to leave immediately.
It was dark and rather stormy as the two made their way to the space force. The streets were much more empty then normal due to the storm. As they made their way swiftly down the street, they both felt that something was wrong. At the moment they both felt this, the wind picked up and Kilan felt an unnatural force throw him back with an incredible power.
As Kilan got to his feet, he saw a hooded figure with a red lightsaber step out of the shadows and move toward Kara. She was prepared with her own lightsaber activated. Kilan watched as the two locked blades in combat as he raced down the street to help his love.
Time seemed to slow down as Kilan watched it happen. The hooded figure broke through Kara’s defenses and cut open her gut. Kilan stumbled and continued to run forward. The hooded figure disappeared into the shadows as Kilan fell to his knees beside Kara. She was already dead. Kilan let out a scream of agony upon realizing this. His mind stalled for a moment then seemed to go into overdrive. He quickly disposed of the body, cremating it. In the hours following this he wandered, lost in his pain. Unable to cope with the pain he did the only thing he could think of. He destroyed himself.
Kilan locked himself away for several days. The man who finally left was entirely different. Kilan had managed to forcefully sever himself from his connection to the Force. He repressed much of his training and memories into the deep recesses of his mind. Time and effort was irrelevant to him. There was only pain. All he retained was his knowledge of mechanics, a picture of Kara, and an urn of her ashes. In the end he had a new name, a new history of his life and even a family crest as a visible symbol of his new identity.
The man who left from the seclusion was in no way Kilan Khzon. He was now Xen’Mordin Vismorsus. In an attempt to distance himself from the planet, Xen managed to get a mechanic position on a large smuggler ship “The Ruthless Eagle”. He entered this new life with out looking back.
The Fall
- "All of your life has been leading to this one moment."
- ―Hooded figure in the Sith Temple
A year passed. Xen’Mordin was now in his 18th year and had a home upon “The Ruthless Eagle”, or as much of a home that could be had among smugglers. Xen had fallen into his new life with relative ease. Life without the slight uses of the Force had taken time for his mind to get used to, but now he had even forgotten that aspect of his life as well. Over the course of that year, Xen had become an integral part of the crew.
Part of their jobs was the occasional raiding mission to abandoned colonies or uncharted worlds to look for artifacts or goods that could be sold. On this particular occasion, the ship landed outside the remains of an old looking temple on an uninhabited planet. The instant the ship landed Xen felt an intense longing to go to the temple.
As the crew of the ship approached the great entrance the very air seemed to grow tainted with evil. The whole party could feel it in their bones that something was wrong. Nearly the entire group voted to return to the ship and leave, everyone but Xen. He informed them he would go in alone and told them to wait for him. They all reluctantly agreed. With his head pounding with desire to enter the temple, he went alone.
After entering the temple, Xen found himself in a giant open area. The roof had partially collapsed causing a ray of sunlight to shine down on an ancient altar. Xen notices the tiles on the floor made a complex image, yet from where he was standing, he couldn’t tell what it was. Xen focused on the altar. It was calling to him.
As Xen crossed the room, he passed over the center of the complex seal laid in tile on the ground. There was a blast of light and the foundations of the temple shook. A blast of energy surged through Xen. An intense pain overcame his senses as it felt like every fiber of his being was being ripped apart. The repressed memories of his past rushed through his mind. As the pain of a thousand deaths filled his mind and body Xen wanted nothing more than to die. And as suddenly as it had started, it was over. He gasped and felt the strong presence of the dark side in the temple; this had been home to the Sith. His connection with the Force was now restored.
Getting to his feet, Xen approached the altar. Resting on it was an ancient lightsaber hilt. It had clearly been sitting there for a very long time. Xen reached out and grabbed it. It felt like it had been made just for him, like it was a part of him that he had been missing for his whole life. As he gripped it a hooded figure stepped out of the shadows and started clapping. It was the same hooded figure who had murdered Kara the prior year.
The hooded figure quickly explained that he had spent years working for this moment, to put Xen in this exact situation. Xen was poised to attack, yet before he could launch at the figure another person stepped out the shadows. Xen’s mind raced back to his childhood. The face had changed, grown older and darker, but there was no denying it. It was his brother Kiith, who had last been seen as a jealous teenager. With out a word Kiith activated his own red bladed lightsaber and moved toward Xen. He had been trained in the ways of the dark side.
With nothing to defend himself with, Xen did the only thing he could think of, and tried to ignite the ancient hilt. With a crack it ignited and the two brothers clashed. Xen had to remember his training quickly or else he would have been struck down. In a flood of terror, Xen suddenly felt very calm and managed to cut down his brother. He glanced at the lifeless form of his kin before turning to attack the hooded figure. With a spark, the ancient blade died.
The hooded figure laughed and told Xen that this was his destiny before turning away to leave. Rage continued to flow through Xen’s mind. He stared at the ancient hilt in his hand and noticed the sharp protrusion at its end. With no other apparent options, Xen leaped forward and rammed the end of the hilt into the hooded figures back. Xen stabbed again and again, getting drenched in blood as the figure slowly died. His call for vengeance was complete in that instant. Unsure of what to do with his life, he returned to the ship.
The Dark Brotherhood
To the Darkness
- "To this end was I born."
- ―Xen’Mordin as he approached DJB Space
Following the events in the Sith Temple, Xen’Mordin locked himself up in his quarters. His connection to the Force had been restored, but the event had been traumatic. For days he meditated and attempted to reconcile the fractured parts of his personality. However it became clear that his fractured mind would be something that he would have to deal with. It also became clear that he would need further training. He had lost much of his former abilities. There was something out there that was calling to him, and all he needed to do was find it.
Over the following days, most of the crew stayed away from Xen. While they had run away from the temple, it was clear something had occurred there and Xen wasn’t giving any answers. Xen managed to gather three of his closest friends on board the ship and talk to them. He fed them a false plan to take over the ship and collect a higher percentage of the cuts from jobs. It would involve killing the rest of the crew and getting a new one later. With treachery so common among the scum of the earth they easily agreed to aid in the endeavor. Due to the large size of the crew, there was no way to kill them all off at once. It would take time.
The first part of Xen’Mordin’s plan was to damage the engines in a way that could be fixed later on. After removing some key parts, the engine died and “The Ruthless Eagle” was left drifting dead in space. Xen hid the parts to fix the engine once the task of killing off the crew was finished.
Over the course of several hours, Xen and his allies were able to isolate single members of the crew and kill them quietly. As the hours moved on and on, the crew of the ship grew more and more paranoid. The bodies were beginning to pile up and it seemed that no one had any idea what was happening. Eventually the only ones remaining were Xen and those he had enlisted to help him manage the ship. His three accomplices expressed their discomfort at the manner of the killing and the fear it caused, but Xen maintained a solid ground that it was the only way to get the ship.
Xen went and gathered the missing parts and fixed the engine. With the ship functional Xen went to the bridge of the ship. There he received a coded and cryptic message. The message directed Xen to a Brotherhood outpost. After the ship touched down, Xen murdered his three allies on the ship and went to meet with his new contacts. He never looked back.
A New Home
- "I am become Death, the Destroyer of Worlds."
- ―Xen’Mordin after killing his allies on “The Ruthless Eagle”
Xen was taken through the shroud to the moon of Lyspair by the representatives of the Brotherhood. After a short stay on Lyspair and receiving basic training from the Shadow Academy Xen’Mordin was assigned to Clan Satal Keto. Feeling driven, he quickly rose to the rank of Protector without any major interaction from his peers and leaders. At this time the more violent and dark personality of Xen’s mind took over, causing him to spend several months in solitude away from his clan.
Once Xen was able to return, he was even more driven to advance than before. While the stark contrasts in Xen’s personality frightened and pushed away many, he eventually found a master, Warhunter. Under Warhunter’s guidance Xen was put in his first leadership position, that of Battle Team Leader of Eternal Plague. This position was held until Clan Satal Keto was closed and merged with Clan Exar Kun into a new clan, Clan Plagueis.
Clan Plagueis and the Rise of Power
- "It is remarkable how difficult some find losing positions to be."
- ―Xen’Mordin to Warhunter following the angry exit of Selket
Xen’Mordin was hopeful this new merger would prove to be beneficial. Clan Satal Keto had been suffering and he was eager for glory. Not all were glad to see this merger occur. Selket, the Consul of Clan Satal Keto, openly tried to rebel against the merger, and the outcome resulted in her leaving the Brotherhood. While this was discouraging, Xen’s hopes for his new clan rose when the former Grand Master, Chi Long, was placed as the new clan leader.
Shortly following this merger Xen was offered the role of House Envoy for House Satal Keto. Working closely with his master, Xen was eventually promoted to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. This was a great personal accomplishment for Xen. While he still lacked the skill to fix the ancient hilt from the Sith Temple, Xen knew one day he would do so. For the time being he crafted a very simple hilt for his weapon. Xen was content for a time, but the Force had other plans. It was time for a change.
Joining the Royal Clan
- "I do like to picture myself as royalty."
- ―Xen’Mordin upon joining Clan Scholae Palatinae
Xen found himself in a new home, Caliburnus of Clan Scholae Palatinae. His transfer came at a hazardous time, and shortly after his transfer a war broke out with fellow Scholae Palatinean Dorimad Sol. During battle, Xen proved to be a talented warrior and leader. During this time he was also offered the roll of Clan Envoy. Following the conflict between the two houses Xen’Mordin was promoted to the rank of Sith Warrior.
Xen fell quickly into the traditions of the Clan, including the love of animals. Xen became particularly close to snakes, and even owned several during this time. Following Caliburnus’s victory Xen was offered another chance to prove his worth, the position of Aedile under Impetus, who would serve as the Quaestor.
Stability
- "I don’t think I will ever understand you."
- ―Impetus to Xen
Xen would serve as Aedile for House Caliburnus for over nine months. Working closely with Impetus, the two quickly became intimate. Impetus would often have to deal with the polar opposite personalities Xen would display, yet they managed to continue to work together. While he was busy with daily duties of helping run the house, Xen fell into a simple routine. It was stable and many parts of Xen’s mind felt it was boring. This was broken up when a feud broke out with the third house of Scholae Palatinae, Acclivis Draco.
After fighting hard, Xen was shocked to see the feud end with neither side victorious. However there was little time to think about the outcome of the feud. There had been a recent discovery on the house’s planet of Ptolomea, the probable location of the House’s namesake; The location of the mythical lightsaber, Caliburnus.
A Traitor
- "You betrayed your Quaestor to aid my rise in power. Are you a traitor or just an opportunist?"
- ―Thran Occasus to Xen’Mordin following the finding of Caliburnus
There was a frenzy on the planet of Ptolomea to find the legendary weapon. It was said who ever could obtain the blade was the rightful ruler of the house. Many sought it, yet in the end there were two major groups. One was the group loyal to Impetus and aided her in reaching the weapon, and the other was that of Thran Occasus. By this time Thran had moved into Xen’s position of Aedile, yet Xen harbored no ill will. He had become tired of the mundane routine the position called for and was glad to have the time to study and work on his ship. When the two parties left to venture out into the jungle however, Xen remained with the team accompanying Impetus.
As the group slowly made their way through the jungle, Xen really thought about his interactions with Impetus. The two had been lovers, but there had been no real connection, just a physical desire. The more Xen thought about it, the more he realized how frustrated he had been while working with the Twi’lek. Without anyone noticing, he left into the jungle, hoping to find Thran and aid him in recovering the blade.
In the end Thran obtained the weapon first. Impetus was furious, yet left the planet without a major scene. Xen hid out in the jungle for several days so the power switch could take place. In the end Thran agreed that Xen aided him, and used him as an advisor in running the house.
The Restoration
- "Now I see the whole."
- ―Xen’Mordin at the understanding of the connections between his different personalities
As time went on, the split personalities Xen had grew more and more separated. He would wander the halls of the Caliburnus complex, aimlessly talking to himself. Unable to cope with the rift growing in his mind any longer, he left for the place he was first broken. Quite suddenly Xen found himself in the alleyway on Nar Shaddaa where Kara had died. Things were changing.
Xen went off to a cantina for a strong drink. As he sat, trying to piece his mind together, another face from his past appeared. His sister Sairia was frantically yelling at him in excitement. At the mention of his old name, Xen snapped out at her, claiming Kilan had died on that planet, because in all honesty, he had. Sairia stood in shocked silence as Xen stormed out of the bar.
As he returned to where he was staying he hesitated before entering his room. He could sense someone was inside the room. Someone he had not seen in many years. It was Tyler Reynolds. In a useless attempt, Tyler begged Xen to return to the light. In a cramped duel, Xen defeated and killed Tyler. Feeling there was nothing left for him on this planet, he left.
Nearing Caliburnus’s home planet of Ptolomea, Xen’s transport ship was attacked by an Arconan ambush. Left stranded and floating in space with nothing but his space suit on, he reflected on his life. He was barely recovered in time, and had already lost consciousness.
Xen awoke in the medical wing of the complex. It was there he realized that the different personalities in his mind were all one person, himself. It wasn’t from some event in a temple that caused him to be like this, because this was who he was. He had only been repressing those dark parts of himself his entire life. The two personalities laughed at the realization and merged. While not perfectly whole, he was much more stable. He was still prone to slight multiple personality disorder, especially when he was angry or fighting.
War is the Answer
- "We live to fight. It is in our blood. It is in our bones. With out conflict we are nothing."
- ―Xen’Mordin to some troops
Following the change in leadership of his house, Xen was called to serve in several conflicts involving the clan. First came a feud with long time rival, Clan Arcona. Following a humiliating defeat, Xen fought with a renewed vigor in a Rite of Supremacy. In the end Clan Scholae Palatinae achieved second place. For his efforts in leadership and aiding the Clan in times of conflict, Xen was promoted to Sith Battlemaster.
Then came an event that no one was prepared for. They had been told that the Rite of Supremacy was to prepare for the coming threat, the overwhelming strength that the Vuuzhan Vong had demonstrated in the year 27 ABY shocked the Brotherhood to its core. Forced to retreat, Xen came to know the most terrifying thought he had had in years; That the Brotherhood could be beaten.
This realization disturbed Xen greatly. With the retreat of the Brotherhood, Xen decided to leave, for good if he could not find what he was looking for. He left upon his personal ship “The Shattered Phantom” for deep space, not knowing if he would ever return.
The Return
- "My, my. Look who decided to come home."
- ―Thran Occasus at the return of Xen’Mordin
In the year 31 ABY Xen’Mordin Vismorsus returned to Scholae Palatinae. He was found drifting near the planet of Judecca, unconscious, onboard his ship “The Shattered Phantom”. The ship was battle damaged, and its computers were almost completely fried, only functional enough to send out a distress call to the planet.
Xen was rushed to a medical facility and nursed back to health. He refused to talk about where he had gone, what he had done, and why he had returned. He took up a room working with Dorimad Sol, and even fought some during the events of the Rite of Supremacy: Spoils of War. During this time he managed to fully repair the ancient hilt he had found in the Sith temple and began using it as his primary weapon.
After the events of the Rite of Supremacy, Xen was offered a new position, that of Aedile for House Acclivis Draco. Xen accepted and went to work. His return and reintegration to the Brotherhood was complete.
Infection
- "It would appear this is a rare virus. There is only one known location for a cure, a flower on the planet Csilla."
- ―Medical Robot to Xen’Mordin
While on Judecca, the home planet of Scholae Palatinae, a mysterious virus infected everyone who was in the headquarters. The effects of the virus was an intense sleep. Xen’Mordin had a major resistance to the virus, and was able to avoid the effects of it for approximately 40 hours.
In learning what had infected a vast number of his allies Xen was informed that the only cure was found in a snow flower on the Chiss homeworld of Csilla. With only about 36 hours until he too would succumb to the effects of the virus, Xen took a ship and flew to Csilla.
Feeling the effects of the virus as he arrived, Xen stumbled, and quickly found the flower. He wanted to leave the planet quickly before any Chiss fighters arrived. As he was leaving the atmosphere, several ships intercepted Xen, and damaged his ship. He managed to make the jump to lightspeed back to the Cocytus system.
When Xen arrived, there was less than an hour until he would fully succumb to the virus. Because of the ship's damage, he ended up crashing it into the hanger bay. Slipping in and out of consciousness Xen managed to make it to the medical bay with the flower just before finally succumbing. He awoke a day latter, to find everyone who had been infected restored to full health.
Degradation
- "Finally to achieve, only to have it taken from me."
- ―Xen’Mordin
After several months as Aedile in House Acclivis Draco, Xen was offered the position of Quaestor, something he had been wanting for years. However only weeks into this position, news came from the Dark Council. The Clans were unstable. It was time for a more focused leadership approach. The Clans were to become only houses.
Xen’Mordin found this change to be insulting, to finally be given control of his own house, only to have it stripped away. However, his long time friend Ood Bnar Scythe’rae was now the Quaestor of House Scholae Palatinae, and he offered Xen the position of Aedile. So once again Xen found himself as second in command of a house.
Disorder
- "Madness to fight for one’s house over their order. For the SITH!"
- ―Xen’Mordin
Corrupted like the rest of the Dark Brotherhood, during the events of the disorder, Xen fought proudly for the Sith. Against people he had long considered brothers he fought valiantly. When it was revealed to be a corruption designed to destroy the brotherhood, the armies of the different orders stood down and once again returned to their houses.
Feelings were tense as Xen returned to his Aedile position in Scholae Palatinae. The brief combat of fighting his own house members left a very strong mark on his mind. He would remain loyal to his house, but there was something deeper at work. His life was the life of a Sith, and the Krath and Obelisk should bow down.
The Neutralization
- "The Cause have been a plague for too long. If we don’t act now we will have a Civil War."
- ―Xen’Mordin
The next several months following the events of Disorder, Xen kept himself busy with the house’s hold on the Cocytus system. For years a terrorist group known only as The Cause had been planting seeds of destruction and mayhem in the system. However there was a rise of steady attacks, ranging from military installations to public hospitals. It seemed nothing was safe.
As the attacks grew more frequent, civil unrest grew as well. Before too long there were protests and following that, riots. As the riots broke out system wide, Xen forced The Emperor, Ood Bnar Sythe’rae, into a secured location while the situation was dealt with. With the high risk of civil war in the system, Xen organized a systematic strike against The Cause to eliminate them for good.
Profile
Appearance
Xen’Mordin Vismorsus stands at six feet one inch and weights 190 pounds. He is tall and muscular, which is due in part to the rigorous meditation and exercise he does every day. His hair, dark brown, is typically kept short and neat. Recently he has grown out a very well defined goatee. His eyes, dark green, show the evidence of his dark side tendencies, with a ring of red around both pupils. Under normal circumstances he would be found to be rather attractive, however it shows in his eyes that he has dealt with a lot of pain in his life.
Xen has several noticeable features. He has several scars, most notable of these is a thin two inch long scar along the right side of Xen’s neck, which looks remarkably like a lightsaber burn. There are also a series of very faint scars along his left hand from a mechanical mishap. Aside from his scars, Xen also has several tattoos. One, that of his crest which is also found on his Warbanner, is found on his right bicep. At the base of his neck on his back are the words “I am become Death, the Destroyer of Worlds”, which was something he remarked upon finding the Brotherhood.
Personality
The events in the Sith Temple left Xen’s mind fragmented and broken. Parts of his personality, which had been repressed his whole life, could suddenly be expressed. For years he dealt with multiple personality disorder. While his mind has been pieced back together, it is not whole. It is very similar to a broken vase that is taped together. It looks generally as it should but is missing parts, and some areas are weak and leak. While he will never be able to fully recover, his does appear to be mostly whole. He will periodically suffer from sever mood swings.
In his typical interactions, for the most part, Xen remains calm and civilized. Many remark that he remains totally professional and shows excellent discipline. When interacting in less formal circumstances, such as with close friends, Xen is much more laid back. He has a very deep sarcastic streak. Even in his formal interactions, he must restrain himself from saying the comment out loud.
Xen is known to enjoy a good drink, yet rarely gets very drunk. He is aware of his limits and does not cross them and puts a high value on his cognitive abilities. He has been known to take many attractive servants, civilians and secretaries - as well as the occasional diplomat’s daughter - to his bed.
The Shattered Phantom
The Shattered Phantom is Xen’s personal ship. Originally a standard YT-2000 freighter, when it came into Xen’s possession he gutted it and practically rebuilt it. In the end it became more of a personal yacht then a freighter. This is the ship Xen took into deep space when he left the Brotherhood following the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. When he returned the ship was barely able to sustain life support. All data of what happened to it and where it had been, had already been erased from the ship’s computer, as well as its onboard droid, Socket. Despite his best efforts to salvage the ship, it appears it will fly no more.

Trivia
- Xen’Mordin Vismorsus comes from several words. Xen comes from the Greek word “Xenos” meaning stranger. Vis and Morsus are Latin, meaning violent and pain, respectively.
- Xen’s lightsaber is the ancient lightsaber he found in a Sith Temple. After years of study he was able to have it repaired fully, and uses it as his main weapon.
