Danktooine is a large asteroid placed in a stationary orbit above the Caelestis City on the moon of Ragnath. Owned by Clan Scholae Palatinae, it has been turned into a large base of operations for Vismorsus Industries, Clan resources, and a premier tourist destination of the Caperion System.

Danktooine maintains stationary orbit above Ragnath
Danktooine is a C-type asteroid originally from the Caperion asteroid belt. Its surface is rocky and grey, with many impact craters on its surface. The asteroid itself is standard and unremarkable.
Built into and out of the asteroid is a large base of operations. Much of it is found within the asteroid itself and in large technically advanced buildings. With orientation relative to the artificial gravity on the asteroid, at its “base” is a large protrusion of astro-engines, which are used to keep it in a stationary orbit above the moon of Ragnath.
Much of the asteroid is classified, with many areas not marked on any official blueprints for the compound.

Vismorsus Industries Corporate Headquarters
Following the destruction of the Cocytus System Vismorsus Industries moved their corporate headquarters to the Caperion system. Its resources were used to pull Danktooine from the asteroid and begin construction of the facilities found on the asteroid. Its offices sit atop the largest of the protruding spires on the asteroid's surface.
Danktooine Nightclub
The newest and most impressive nightclub in the Caperion system, this large multi-story club features it all, dancing, music, drinks, drugs, gambling, zero-gravity fights, and more. Overseen by Stana Watsertha, wife of Vismorsus Industries founder and president Xen’Mordin, this nightclub features its own docking bay, dedicated security team, and exclusive services and substances only found in the club.
The Sanctuary
While unconfirmed to the public, rumors persist of an armored facility deep inside the asteroid. The Sanctuary is a carefully guarded area of the asteroid where those who have been named a Legacy of Palpatine can meet, party, and rest away from the rest of Clan Scholae Palatinae.
History
For millions of years, the asteroid that would become Danktooine was part of the Caperion system’s asteroid belt. One of millions, this cold rock had an unremarkable existence.
Following the arrival of Scholae Palatinae in 35 ABY, Vismorsus Industries began an immediate surveying of the asteroid belt, looking for a suitable and stable enough rock to build upon. This asteroid was found and moved out of the asteroid belt to just outside the outer reaches of the system to be built in secret.
Upon the completion of the main facilities on the asteroid, it was hauled to its present location above the surface of Ragnath. Construction continues on and within the asteroid, and are planned to continue for years to come.
Vismorsus Industries
Danktooine became Vismorsus Industries’ president and founders pet project following his retirement from serving as Emperor and Consul. While Danktooine is completely owned by Clan Scholae Palatinae, Xen’Mordin oversees most of the operations on the asteroid. The company’s corporate offices are luxurious, but only the tip of the iceberg of what the company maintains on the asteroid.
Most manufacturing and outreach programs from Vismorsus Industries takes place in a multitude of facilities around the galaxy, the core research group is located on Danktooine in the sprawling complex that now takes up most of the asteroid’s built landscape.
Publically it is known that there is research into things such as medical advancements, cheaper manufacturing goods, artificial intelligence, and food development. In secret, much of the facility is dedicated to more nefarious goals. These include advance weapon creation, biological agents, mental reconditioning programs, genetic testing, and more. The nightclub on the asteroid services as an excellent source for stealthy testing of chemical compounds in a safe environment, and periodically isolated individuals have been rumored to go missing after attending services at the club.
G14-D05
G14-D05 is an advanced artificial intelligence that has been incorporated into the clan’s mainframe and helps oversee research conducted by Vismorsus Industries. Originally developed by an ancient society that once controlled the Cocytus system, it was repurposed by Elincia Rei following its discovery during the Monstrosity outbreak. When Scholae Palatinae evacuated the Cocytus system, G14’s primary systems were removed as well and brought with them to the Caperion system.
Behind the Scenes
Danktooine originally started as a joke name suggestion by Xen’Mordin Palpatine when initially developing the Caperion system. One of the other ideas floated at this time was an asteroid base such as that seen in Rogue One, Ring of Kafrene.
