Apex Brigade was founded in 31 ABY within House Qel-Droma. Its main purpose is to hunt down and eliminate any and all threats to Clan Arcona.
History
Creation
Founded after Operation: Sojourn, Apex Brigade’s primary function was to track down and eliminate any One Sith Forces that would still pose a threat to the security of the Dajorra System and Clan Arcona itself. Founded by Inarya Tiberius Entar Apex Brigade consisted of eight Agents, each of which was specially trained in order to take out Force-Sensitive hostiles.
Before it's deactivation, Apex Brigade had evolved into the enforcing power of Arconan Law throughout the Dajorra System, having made themselves known to each of the planets.
Base of Operations
Apex Base
The Apex Base was the base of operation for Apex Brigade. Situated in the Dajorra Asteroid Field it acted as both a home and a bunker for Apex Agents.
While originally an old mining outpost, Apex Base had been unoccupied for a number of years before House Qel-Droma reclaimed and turned it into the base of operations for the newly formed Apex Brigade. The primary function of the base was to offer a refuge of Apex Agent’s and AB-Unit while not on deployment, however, due to most of the Agents enforcing Arconan Rule in the Dajorra System, the only full-time residents of Apex Base was Artemis Naa the team's tech expert and Mechanic.
Even though Apex Base was usually empty it did have a number of facilities for both Agents and officials or dignitaries that would visit. Each of the Agents quarters was fitted with everything in order to meet the needs of their individual species. The base was home to a ready room and cantina for those Agents not on deployment, as well as a Mission Briefing Room, Brig, Hanger, Weapons Locker, Medical Bay, Mechanical Repair Centre and Offices for both the Leader and Executive Officer.
Equipment
Agent’s Equipment
- While Apex Agents first line of attack in a combat situation would be their lightsaber, each agent carried a Vibroknife in the event of being disarmed. The blade measures in at 7 inches with a thickness of 3.5mm. Forged from Durasteel it is able to withstand the harshest of environments as well as extreme physical stress.
- The Armour worn by the Agents of Apex Brigade was a lightweight poly-weave bodysuit with protective durasteel treated plates to reinforce it. Originally designed to withstand all but lightsaber and Force-Based attacks, it proved effective against blaster fire and physical impacts as well.
- Additional equipment was available to Agents to meet their skill set and abilities.
IG-100 MagnaGuard Armaments
Each of the eight MagnaGuard Units assigned to Apex Brigade was fitted with Phrik-alloy electro staves. These blunt energy weapons emit a pink electromagnetic pulse at each end. Made of a lightsaber-resistant alloy the electro staves allowed the MagnaGuard to deflect a Force-Sensitive’s lightsaber with ease. In addition to this each of the AB-Units came equipped with:
- Seeker missiles located in their back plating
Having the ability to use blaster rifles, grenades, rocket launchers, and similar devices -- due to their Human-like hands -- they are deadly to face. In extreme circumstances a self-destruct mechanism was accessible to the handler should an undefeatable situation occur.

Closure
Once the victory of the Eleventh Great Jedi war had been won by Arcona, many members of Apex Brigade experienced a significant lull. Growing restless and still pulsing with the hype of the war, many turned to lawless pursuits. They found themselves reluctant to go back to policing others when they could be making better credits working as mercenaries and smugglers, leaving several of them with only one option: Port Ol'val. The abandoned mining colony and home to many of Arcona's more lawless members. A few would find themselves drawn from their old battleteam and into the shadows and underbelly of the port.
