The Imperial Scholae Army (ICA) and The Imperial Scholae Navy (ISN) are the two major branches of the Imperial Scholae Military, used by the Scholae Empire and Clan Scholae Palatinae in defence of the clan's dominion. The ISA comprises of the collective identity of the entire Clan ground forces: the front line soldiers, scouts, special forces, vehicles and heavy armour. The ISA is made up primarily of The Imperial Legion, a versatile fighting force used for both attack and defensive operations, and the Imperial Scholae Guard Regiment, a smaller unit dedicated to the defence of Scholae territory. The ICA works closely with the Imperial Scholae Intelligence. The army is led by War Councillor Admiral TBA.
History
The Exodus
The story of how we ran away from the Emperor's Hammer, conquered the Cocytus System, founded the Scholae Empire and formed the Scholae Imperial Armed Forces, containing the Imperial Scholae Navy and Imperial Scholae Army.
The Eighth Great Jedi War
After massive losses sustained by all of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood's fleets in the Eighth Great Jedi War, steps were taken to recoup the losses. Then High Admiral Timbal helped the Consul in the bid to replenish the Clan's Fleet, successfully acquiring three heavy cruisers, the Renown, the Relentless and the Repulse, two Imperial II-class Star Destroyers and a relatively new design of star destroyer, the Nebula-class.

Rank and File Command Structure
The Imperial Scholae Army (ISA) uses the same military ranks as the loyalists of the Dark Brotherhood, with the exception of the Grand General rank, which is replaced by Grand Admiral, a title held by the Rollmaster of Clan Scholae Palatinae. The ISI is comprised of one general purpose legion, the Imperial Scholae Legion, and one floating regiment, the Imperial Scholae Guard Regiment, dedicated to defense of the clan territories. The ISA falls under the jurisdiction of the Imperial Scholae Military, led by the Emperor of Scholae (the Consul of Clan Scholae Palatinae) and the Grand Admiral. The overall head of the army holds the title of Moff, and is the one typically in command of the army on a daily basis, supported by the clan's top generals, one of which directly commands the Imperial Scholae Legion, containing four regiments
The five regiments in the ISA are each typically led by a commanding officer of the rank of Colonel, supported by Lieutenant Colonels. Each Regiment is composed of four Battalions, with the commanding officer typically holding the rank of Commander. Each of the four Companies in a Battalion are led typically led by a Major or a Captain.
As each of the companies have a different focus, the sub units within a company vary depending on the type. A typical infantry company, however, with 152 soldiers, is divided into 5 platoons, each containing 30 troops, and led by a Lieutenant. The three squads of the Platoon are led by a Sergeant, and contain Fireteams of 3 or 4 soldiers, usually led in the field by a recently promoted Sergeant or an experienced Private in their first leadership role.
Clan Scholae Palatinae Members
The members of Clan Scholae Palatinae exist outside of the chain of command of the military and typically outside of its jurisdiction, reporting instead to their battleteam leader or house summit. However, military backing is available to the members of the clan in their missions if it furthers the goals of the Empire. Members of a rank equal to the typical military rank may, for the duration of their mission, commandeer a unit whose commander's rank is equal to or lower than their own. This is typically done by members of House Imperium who are more integrated with the military than their sister house of Excidium, which is publicly disassociated with the Empire and risk blowing this cover by making frequent use of the ISA, and as such more likely to require the talents of the ISI.
The necessary Brotherhood ranks for each unit are as follows:
- Journeyman 1: Fireteam
- Journeyman 2: Squad
- Journeyman 3: Platoon
For larger units, and for logistical reasons, commandeering of larger units requires house summit approval, and is more likely to be granted to members with skill in leadership and tactics. This is typically only done in times of war, when a clan member is needed on the front line, they will lead the troops on the ground while the original commanding officer maintains control over strategic decision making:
- Equite 1: Company
- Equite 2: Battalion
- Equite 4: Regiment
While on official paperwork, elder ranks have the authority to command legions, the clan only currently has one legion, so this is not done in practice at this time.

The Imperial Scholae Guard Regiment
Role
The Imperial Scholae Guard Regiment are tasked only with the protection of the clan dominion and never venture outside. Formerly, their task was the protection of the entire Cocytus System, with one Battalion dedicated to each of the system's four planets. Due to the instability of the clan's current territory, division of tasks among the Battalions is constantly in flux, but their role of the protection of the clan's assets has never changed. The Guard Regiment contains 1368 infantry and 12 armour platoons.
Sub-Units
A legacy from the clan's grip on the ill-fated Cocytus System, the battalions of the Imperial Scholae Guard Regiment are named after the planets in the clan's former dominion. All Battalions in this Regiment are identical, with 3 line companies and a heavy armour company with 1 AT-DP Platoon and 3 2-M Hover Tank Platoons.
