Quill Wheaton is the Navigation Officer aboard the Covenant. His natural affinity to computer technology and his plot trajectory have made him an essential crew member tot he Covenant. Quill is the youngest male prominent crew member and still has much room to grow. He is married to Maya Nikeisha, the daughter of Kel Rasha's Mayor.
Early History
Quill Wheaton was born in 0 ABY on Aeotheran, being brought into the world after the collapse of the Galactic Empire. Whilst Aeotheran hadn't been discovered by the forces of Naga Sadow yet, the planet was in good shape and had a fairly stable economy. Quill grew up in a loving family who provided and cared for their only child. Quill returned their love for him by being an exemplary child and they quickly realized he was a gifted and talented individual. Top of the class even at a young age, the only child of the Wheaton family filled his parents with pride.
Upon reaching his teenage years Quill had begun to dabble in splicing and hacking. He kept this hobby a secret from his parents, forming a group where he taught like minded individuals the basic necessities. At the age of 13, Quill had become the mastermind behind a group called the "Splice and Dice". Their main objective was to bring news forward that was hidden by the media from the people, although they did help solve some crimes from time to time due to their ability to track individuals and suspects. Though they remained anonymous, the popularity of the group soared within the first few months of its creation, receiving praise from many different sources.
The Sadowans Arrive
In late 13 ABY, Aeotheran was discovered by Trevarus Caerick and quickly subjugated the Orian System to Naga Sadow rule. The new overlords were decently kind so long as the populace remained in check and produced their yearly quota of minerals and other needed materials. As the city of Seng Karash began its construction in 14 ABY, the Wheaton family moved to the new city in the hopes of getting jobs and living a more comfortable life. His father joined the Dlarit Corporation and they were moved to the residential area where they continued to prosper.

Quill was sent to an advanced school, where he was indulged in his splicing hobby with state of the art computers and technology. For the next four years until his 18th birthday, Quill led a comfortable and relatively safe life, earning himself a job as a computer technician within the Dlarit Corporation upon graduation with the highest honors in his class. It was also at this time that he decided to distance himself from "Splice and Dice". his final address to the group stating that although he was proud of their work, he could no longer afford to be associated with a secret group, no matter how good their intentions.
Alien Incursion
In 21 ABY during the outbreak of the Alien Incursion, Quill was thrust into a turbulent time in his life where nothing was certain. The ever presence of death hanging over the planet had began to take its toll on the man, and realized that his skills were going to waste as a computer technician for the Dlarit Corporation. After the events of the Incursion, Quill began his search for a more efficient role, looking towards joining the Warhost and offering his skills there. In 22 ABY he was accepted and the then twenty-two year old man began to make a difference. He proved himself an invaluable asset during the Invasion of Orian in 23 ABY where he combated the True Brotherhood on the doorsteps of Aeotheranthrough cyber warfare.
Shortly after these events he met Maya Nikeisha, and the two of them quickly fell in love. As a political favor to him, Diego Nikeisha had recommended Quill Wheaton to Russell Bartholomew, who was in need of crew members aboard the Covenant. After a brief but demanding interview, the Captain of the Covenant offered Quill a job as a computer technician. His job would include calibrating the weapons systems with the use of computers, and to prevent unauthorized access to the systems through the use of cyber defense and counter attacks on the Covenant. Quill took a few days to discuss the new job with his lover, Maya Nikeisha. She urged him on to take the job, stating that he could work his way to whatever he truly wanted to be with this experience under his belt. Russell was after all a very well respected Captain, and the prestige Quill could earn whilst serving him and Naga Sadow could pay off in the future.
Quill Wheaton agreed to take on the job in 25 ABY, but only if Maya would marry him. Taken aback by his bold move, she agreed with tears in her eyes as joy washed over the couple.
Marriage and Career
Due to his service to the Warhost Fleet and Russell Bartholomew, it took two years before the couple could officially marry. In 27 ABY Quill Wheaton and Maya Nikeisha married in the park on Aeotheran. Both of them had spent much of their childhood there and fostered equally fond memories. It was only natural for them to return to the place where they had grown up and witnessed the growth of the city in their younger years. The ceremony was formal, Quill's family and friends showing up whilst the prominent and wealthy Nikeishan family had kept their invitations to just their inner circle. It was very clear that both families were happy for their children and the love between Quill and Maya. during the ceremonial vows both mothers burst into tears of joy as they watched their children pledge themselves to each other "in sickness and in health".

Wheaton led a particularly safe lifestyle in the service of the Covenant. Seeing very little action, to the relief of Maya, and acting more as last line of defense the Covenant kept the Orian System safe from would be attackers. Throughout the years aboard the ship, Quill has been promoted to Navigation Officer, allowing him to traject their movements and using the Sadowan database to plot quicker and safer jumps through space. He is particularly good at saving fuel consumption, which has led to numerous awards and praise from his superiors.
During GJWXI the Covenant was responsible for keeping the Orian System safe whilst the main force engaged in offensive bahaviour. In case anything bad happened to the main fleet, CNS would have a last line of defense to at least help evacuate the citizens. Over the last few years the Covenant has taken on a more defensive role and thanks to not only Quill but also the rest of the Covenant's crew, they are an extremely well oiled machine that provides a measurable sense of security for the citizens of Aeotheran.
Wheaton has begun to show early signs of aging, and gray hairs have been spotted playfully by Maya. Wanting to change his appearance albeit slightly, Quill began to dye his hair black after the Dominion attacks on Naga Sadow in 34 ABY.
