The Simus Institute is a private academic institution run by the Viceroy of the Dlarit Corporation. Here gifted young men and women are selected to be trained as the next generation of directors and representatives for the corporation; or at least this is the cover story.

It's true purpose is to train gifted young Dark Jedi in the ideology of being a Disciple of Sadow and the belief of the Clan, being the true heirs of the Sith Empire.

The institute is led by the Heir of Sadow with his Sons acting as professors, instructors and tutors. For a Disciple to be accepted they must first be young enough to allow their minds to be warped in service of the Overlord, as well as possessing a basic grasp of telekinetics.

Rector of the Simus Institute

Founder and Rector (head), Tron Sadow is a wealth of knowledge due to his experience, his various ventures in the Dark Brotherhood and now his involvement in the Brotherhood's vast library of wisdom and knowledge. He is considered to be like an Oracle or Guru of Wisdom.

However, when it comes to instructing, he is a stern but patient teacher. Unlike other Dark Jedi who hold to the belief that anger and rage lead to mastery of the dark side, he knows that they do not make for good forms of instruction. When he teaches, it's very reminiscent of art forms he learned from the Matukai Masters, Zeison Sha Masters and Jensaarai Masters. He is a wise, foreboding instructor who will have his students repeat an exercise until the lesson is ingrained in their minds.

Tron's view for a stronger, more powerful Clan, awoke after the Fall of Antei. He realized for the Clan to survive its future rested in the next generation of Dark Jedi; gifted young men and woman with a basic grasp for telekinetics to bring about the Final Way

Alchemy

Professor of Alchemy, Macron Keibatsu has a deep understanding of the nature of his art. His varied studies have allowed him to collect a significant body of lore, including works from the old Sith Empire.

The insane alchemist uses unorthodox techniques and avant-garde ideas combined with the ancient lore of the Sith. His instruction style is demanding and difficult, often requiring his students to remain remorseless in their pursuit of knowledge at the expense of their subjects. He believes that with such terrible knowledge at the disposal of his Clan, the entire group will be strengthened thereby and thus disseminates his knowledge freely. Macron encourages each of his students to find their own muse within the vast and torturous world of Alchemy.

Behind the Scenes

This is a fictional device to allow for character development on a Clan-wide scale. A Disciple of Sadow needs to first have a young and inexperienced character, as well as at least one Merit Medal to allow use in the Clan Force Powers.
