The Legions of Scholae Palatinae, the armed forces of the Clan, are the most advanced soldiers of the [[Cocytus System]]. In an effort to better synchronize the Clan’s membership with the new military of Scholae Palatinae, the Grand Marshal, Lucien Kaeth, has instituted Marshal Plan Charlie. Effective immediately, and in all times of war as declared by the Senate of Scholae Palatinae, the military will be under full command of the Dark Jedi Forces of Scholae Palatinae.  


Members will be assigned command of troops based on rank. The number and type of troops will depend on a number of factors, most notably, Dark Jedi rank and prestige. This scale takes into account a number of factors including standing within the Clan as well as nobility.

You can choose not to participate in the military at all and above all else, your Battleteam, House, and Clan come first before military service. Enlisted Soldiers put plans into action. Much like employees at a company, Enlisted Soldiers perform specific job functions and have the knowledge that ensures the success of their unit’s current mission within the Army. An Enlisted Soldier’s rank can range from Private to Sergeant Major or Mastery Gunnery Sergeant.  
The commissioned officers are the managers, problem-solvers, and key planners in a position of authority who lead and command enlisted soldiers in all situations. Where enlisted soldiers may have control or charge in positions of authority, they will not have official command without a commission. They derive this authority directly from the Emperor of [[Scholae Palatinae]] and as such hold a commission document charging them with the duties and responsibilities of their respective office or position.  


These commissioned officers have the skills, the training, and the character needed to inspire and encourage others. They embrace and embody the Core Army Values and apply them to every decision they make and every action they take. The Imperial Scholae Guard (ISG) is the main branch of the House Scholae Palatinae Military responsible for land-based military operations. It is made up of the most advanced soldiers of the Cocytus System. The ISG is headed by the Grand Marshal with support from top military officers from within its organization. With vast experience, ability and potential in the field of battle that very few military powers can rival, the ISG prowess has solidified the Scholae Palatinae claim as one of the militant pillars of the Dark Brotherhood.

History

History is not entirely accurate, as the founder of the Clan has long since embarked on a journey with an end unknown, but scrolls seemingly indicate a large deposit of soldiers were granted by the Emperor Palpatine to a devoted task force of guardians: Scholae Palatinae (The Palace Guard). These warriors were instituted to act as mystic extensions of the Dark Lord of the Sith. Additionally, they were tasked not only with executing his will, but safeguarding the Dark Lord. So, in his divine wisdom, he entrusted his Sentinels with the authority to command. With his downfall, upon the planet Byss, these soldiers swore fealty to the former Clan - becoming their personal guardians... the extension of Scholae Palatinae's will.

With their departure from dark lands, they became a solidified House within the Emperor's Hammer; acting as the Guardians of the Grand Master. However, the Dark Brotherhood broke away from the oppressive Emperor's Hammer - thus, the defenders of the Grand Master sought out a new home. Making peace within the Cocytus System, on the planet Judecca, where they have have continually added to their elements, both soldiers and officers. They are the military backbone of the House

Organization

The command structure, or element breakdown, of the Imperial Scholae Guard complies with Imperial Armed Forces criteria. With a single exception, the term battalion is instead replaced with the Royal Title of Legion. The identity of many components adopt this nomenclature.

Because the army is made of such a large number of soldiers, it must be organized into units, each with its own leaders and reporting structure. Each unit, whether it’s a squad or division, was created to respond to any mission, regardless of size or complexity.

Commissioned Officers

The commissioned officers are the managers, problem-solvers, and key planners in a position of authority who lead and command enlisted soldiers in all situations. Where enlisted soldiers may have control or charge in positions of authority, they will not have official command without a commission. They derive this authority directly from the Emperor of Scholae Palatinae and as such hold a commission document charging them with the duties and responsibilities of their respective office or position.

These commissioned officers have the skills, the training, and the character needed to inspire and encourage others. They embrace and embody the Core Army Values and apply them to every decision they make and every action they take. This training in leadership in management comes along with certain specialties depending on their intended specific function such as the highly specialized training as a starfighter pilot within the Scholae Palatinae Corps.

This authority is different from rank, where a superior officer will be anyone with a higher rank, and subordinate officer will be those with a lower rank. An officer’s rank can range from Officer Candidate to Surface Marshal.

Enlisted Ranks

Enlisted soldiers put plans into action. Much like employees at a company, Enlisted soldiers perform specific job functions and have the knowledge that ensures the success of their unit’s current mission within the Army. They perform specific job functions of their own specialty as apposed to the command responsibilities of commissioned officers.

An Enlisted Soldier’s rank can range from Private to Sergeant Major or Mastery Gunnery Sergeant.
