Template:Government infobox The Dlarit Corporation is the overseeing holding company that serves as the public front for Tron Sadow and his Clan of Dark Jedi. Its main subsidiaries are Dlarit Mining and Dlarit Security.

The company has its roots in the Xucphra corporation, one of the two bacta-producing corporations in the Galaxy. After the death of Xucphra CEO and Tron's foster sister, Erisi Dlarit in 7 ABY, Tron gained control of what remained and reformed it into what is now the Dlarit Corporation.

The Dlarit Corporation controls the official government of the Orian system together with the system's military presence via Dlarit Security. It also has effective control of the system's economy by way of Dlarit Mining.

History

Xucphra Corporation

The Xucphra Corporation was one of two bacta-producing corporations in the Galaxy. During the rule of the Galactic Empire the Xucphra Corporation was granted, along with the Zaltin Corporation, the sole rights to produce and market bacta for the entire galaxy. The two corporations made up a monopoly known as the Bacta Cartel. Xucphra, however, was the more pro-Imperial company. Erisi Dlarits' family were involved with Xucphra; her uncle was a prominent investigator for the company.

When Ysanne Isard took control of Thyferra, Xucphra allied with her. The company was forced to cede control of bacta to the Vratix and Zaltin after the Bacta War in 7 ABY, and was dissolved after that.

Dlarit Corporation

The Dlarit Corporation was established using the funds Tron Dlarit was able to secure from the closure of the Xucphra Corporation. It initially served as little more than a holding company, overseeing the occassional project such as the construction work for the first Governor's Mansion on Sif, later to be known as the first Sadow Palace.

The company truly started to take off after the discovery of the Orian system by Trevarus Caerick in 17 ABY. For the next two years Tron slowly diverted resources to the new system for the purpose of gradually establishing a new center of power for his growing Clan. When the Dark Brotherhood split from the Imperial Remnant in 19 ABY events were set in motion that saw Clan Naga Sadow relocate completely to the Orian system, setting up in the shadow of the publicly respected Dlarit Corporation, now a major source of ore for much of the local region, including parts of the Corporate Sector, under the guise of Dlarit Mining, one of its chief subsidiaries.

Government and politics

The Dlarit Corporation is overseen by its chief executive officer known as the Viceroy, a position held by Tron Sadow. He also serves as the de facto Head of State for the Orian system. Beneath the Viceroy is a board of directors, serving as his advisors, many of whom secretly being members of the Sons of Sadow.

The company has appointed a Governor General to oversee the day-to-day running of the Orian system, serving as the de facto Head of Government. In practice, given the only recognised inhabitants of the system are all migrants, the majority being employees of the Dlarit Corporation, there is little real government to govern. The local population still maintain their own feudal tribes but are hardly recognised by the Dlarit Corporation. The Governor General oversees most of the work of Dlarit Mining.

Economy

Dlarit Mining effectively controls the economy of the Orian system, having full ownership of all major imports and exports. The system is rich in tibana gas and ore providing the primarily source of income. Seeing as most of the inhabitants are Dlarit employees there is little real economy beyond that which the Dlarit Corporation deems appropriate.

Military

The head of Dlarit Security is the Marshal Commander who serves as the commander of all security and military assets under the company's command. The Marshal Commander is in turn assisted by a number of junior officers, including the general of the army and the admiral of the navy. Though only a small picket force bolstered by the main firepower of the Covenant, an aging Victory-class Star Destroyer, Dlarit Security still maintains sufficient resources to defend the system against the occassional pirate raid. Fortunately, given its location on the outskirts of the Old Sith Empire, Dlarit Security is rarely required for anything more than keeping the peace.

Astrography

Clan Naga Sadow is today located in the Orian system although it started off in the Phare System. The system is located on the outskirts of the old Sith Empire, a former homeworld of the Sith Lord Urias Orian, roughly halfway between the Antei Sector and the Corporate Sector. Orian has seven primary worlds and a diverse range of life. It contains two stars, Orian Major being the primary and Orian Minor a smaller star in orbit of the first, the two stars cause most of the planets in the system to experience unusual climate patterns.

The Twins

The innermost worlds, Nuvenpa and Ulatyu, share the same orbit and circle one another like twin moons. Due to their close proximity to Orian Major they are virtually uninhabitable, the Dlarit Corporation has so far only attempted to set up a small outpost on Nuvenpa for deep mining, only a few thousand miners reside on the world at present and flight in and out is dangerous and only possible during the planet's night.

Aeotheran and Sepros

The third and fifth planets are the two most inhabited planets. Aeotheran is the perfect distance from Orian Major to sustain life and is completely covered in jungle. Sepros is similar but experiences more varied weather patterns, being further from Orian Major it is forced to draw some of its heat from Orian Minor. Like Aeotheran, Sepros is covered in jungle, the lower degree of sunlight meaning its trees have evolved to reach higher into the sky, making the undergrowth a darker and much harsher place on Sepros than Aeotheran. The Dlarit Corporation has established a number of colonies on both worlds, most built in the ruins of the old Sith temples there, the corporation has several million people spread between the two. House Ludo Kressh makes its home on Aeotheran, while the Clan has established its primary base on Sepros.

Amphor

Between Aeotheran and Sepros sits Amphor, a gas giant, neither close enough to Orian Major or Orian Minor to maintain a solid state. The Dlarit Corporation has established a number of small scale mining operations on several of Amphor's moons including Amphor Sixas well as a tibana gas harvesting facility in the planet's main orbit. The Wreck of the Miner's Brother, as well as Amphor Colony can be found here.

The Dentavii Belt

Dentavii Prime was once the sixth planet in the Orian system. Today it is an asteroid field, torn apart by the twisted alchemy and dark powers of the system's former ruler, Urias Orian. The Dlarit Navy has established a small covert base of operations in one of the larger asteroids to act as a refuelling depot and a staging post for attacks.

Tarthos

Tarthos is now the sixth planet in the system however it orbits Orian Major indirectly, orbiting Orian Minor like a moon. This has given rise to drastic weather patterns on Tarthos, ranging from uncomfortably hot when exposed to the primary star, to frigid when shielded and left to survive only on the lesser heat of Orian Minor. Indigenous life died out on Tarthos millenia ago with only a few animals and plants surviving. The Dlarit Corporation has set up a few colonies in the old ruins but it is mainly home to the reclusive members of House Marka Ragnos who serve as the keepers of the Great Library.

Inos

Inos is the outermost planet of the Orian system, orbiting far from the reach of both Orian Major and Minor. It is essentially little more than a frozen ball caught in Orian Major's gravity well. Though no longer inhabited, neither by the Clan nor even the Dlarit Corporation, in ancient times it was used as a burial world by Urias Orian for his most promising warriors.
