The Imperial Cainian Guard (CG) is the main defensive unit on the planet of Caina in the Cocytus System, within the Scholae Palatinae dominion. This unit falls under the Cocytus System Defense Force, within the Imperial Scholae Guard of the Scholae Palatinae Military.

History

The Cainian Guard found its roots as a collective group of private security forces protecting the interests of the corporations doing business on the planet. As the Imperials began to withdraw from the area as the colonies they founded were no longer profitable, many had left the planet, but those that stayed regrouped in an effort to maintain a sense of stability and security on the planet. Later, when Clan Scholae Palatinae came to the planet, they would provide leadership and guidance to the Guard and give it structure. As the Clan grew in power, they absorbed the local forces into what would become the Imperial Cainian Guard as it stands today, following the same policies and model of the sister units on the other planets in inner Cocytus System.

Deployment & Garrison

The Imperial Cainian Guard is based out of Daemon, the capital city of Caina and center of commerce. From this location they can quickly respond to any necessary operations across the entire planet, as well as easy access as necessary to other planets within the Cocytus System as necessary. Daemon also has the largest spaceport located on Caina, allowing for repairs and an easy land and launch system.

Structure

The Imperial Cainian Guard consists of the 4th Legion, 5th Legion, 6th Legions attached to the Cocytus System Defense Force, as well as the 2nd Airlift Squadron. While the Cainian Militia is expected to police the civilians and quell any riots or civil unrest, the Imperial Cainian Guard is expected to fight off any aggressive attacker which is threatening Caina or the rest of the Cocytus System. The 2nd Airlift Squadron is designated to transport troops across the planet, to complete missions, or to transport wounded to hospitals.
