The Orian system was a 7-planet system located on the outskirts of Sith Space in the Outer Rim. It contained two stars, Orian Major and Orian Minor, the later being a yellow dwarf star that orbitted the former, a red giant, between the Dentavii asteroid belt and Tarthos causing severe climate distortions throughout the system.

The system was once home to the Sith Lord Urias Orian but was abandoned following the Great Hyperspace War. During the years following the Galactic Empire the Dlarit Corporation became the public authority but it was secretly controlled by Clan Naga Sadow. The system was policed by the Orian Security Force as a branch of the Dlarit Corporation, it consisted of the Orian Army and the Orian Navy. The Orian Army handled most of the day-to-day policing inside the colonies.
