Scepter of Ragnos HQ - Crucible
The Battleteam is based out of the 18th moon of Inos, code-named "Snowball". The complex was designed and built for the construction and testing of the SHADOW-Prototype armor system, away from any prying eyes. After the completion of the armor system, the base was re-purposed for the new Elite battleteam of the SHADOW organization, Scepter of Ragnos. Tucked away on the edge of a mountain range there is a seemingly small looking military complex, only a few structures are visible the largest of which appears to be the hanger. The "Crucible" as it has been dubbed by its inhabitants is much larger than meets the eye, past the facade of the surface buildings lies the true base deep inside the mountain range itself.
Upon entering through the exterior hanger and traveling down the launch tunnel the real hanger becomes visible. The room is a large dome carved inside the heart of the mountain with multiple launch and arrival ramps around the radius of the center platform, some with ships stationed in them and others empty. These docks are reserved for the high-ranking members and each have their exits in separate parts of the mountain range. Below the central landing platform is the main research lab and barracks, the rooms and hallways carved right out of the rock. The depth at which the base was positioned was ideal, it was low enough that the cold of the surface was offset by the planet's internal heat radiating from the core. The rooms and passageways are spacious and well heated but retain their cold efficient feeling with nothing coving up the rock they are carved from.
The base’s original construction was designed for the development and evolution of the SHADOW armor system, with the surface’s cold and harsh environment providing as an ideal local to test the suit. After the completion of the armor system the facility and it’s staff was moved into the command of the newly formed elite battleteam Scepter of Ragnos. The large R&D section of the base was mothballed and replaced with sparring rooms, blaster ranges, and more spacious living quarters.
Scepter of Ragnos Equipment
SHADOW-Prototype Armor
The pinnacle of the SHADOW organization's resources, the SHADOW-Prototype Armor is environmentally sealed with an independent air supply for use in space and extreme planetary conditions. The armor also features an onboard computer system which is capable of running battle management software. Internal heat build up is routed to the base of the armor and dispersed throughout the ground to help avoid thermal detection.
SOR-99 Rifle
Designed in secret among the SHADOW organization, the SOR-99 is a heavy-duty semi-automatic rifle favored by the most elite marksman. Each SOR-99 is designed specifically for its owner, and combines the stopping power and accuracy of a sniper rifle with the versatility of an assault rifle. Capable of Long-range support, or room clearing, the SOR-99 gets any job done.
