Event Details
Tides of Change was a a Clan Arcona and Odan-Urr Joint Story-Event that followed in the wake of Sentinel Network: Sanctuary. The invasion effort of the prior event was established as an initial assault, which was soon reinforced by a second fleet of O'reenian warships. With Sanctuary station heavily damaged, their fighter support depleted, and major warships elsewhere, House Odan-Urr was forced to seek help from an unlikely source.
The Story
The tides are changing. Not only in the hearts and minds of the Brotherhood's individual clans, but in the Brotherhood as a whole. One can only guess at what effects the ripples will cause, what direction the currents will pull us all, and whether or not we will drown or rise to new heights...
On a smaller scale, however, wages a different war. While both Clan Odan-Urr and Clan Arcona battle unrest from within in the changing world around them, they are called together in the unlikeliest of alliances as the Clan of Light goes to the Shadow Clan for aid. But when an enemy appears that is greater than either of them can face alone, the two Clans must make a choice: unite despite their multitude of differences, or face certain death.
With so much at stake, can they succeed? Or is such a strange collaboration doomed to fail?
Prologue
Arcona Prologue
Odan-Urr Prologue
With the continued O'reenian invasion, Odan-Urr's leaders considered alternatives and how to bend the situation to their benefit. The recent Great Jedi War had offered an opportunity to bring down the Brotherhood's central leadership, but victory had been far from certain. Visions even indicated a likely failure, with the victory of Muz Ashen over his opponent. With Clan Tarentum now an enemy, that left the Jedi with no allies in their current predicament. Because of this, a new direction was soon chosen. Utilising Turel Sorenn as a contact, the clan was able to communicate with Atyiru Caesura Entar Arconae and persuade her to lend Clan Arcona's support in repelling the invaders. Atyiru, fond of certain Odanite members, was able to sway her clan into joining the operation and voiced her views of the Brotherhood's limitations to her followers. To most leaders, this would have been an act of suicide but a combination of the shadow clan's temperament and Atyiru's less than typical skills as an orator were able to convince them to support the attack.
Communications continued between the two groups over the following days, as the Arcona Expeditionary Force and remaining Odan-Urr vessels coordinated efforts to initiate their assault. Having amassed their full might in order to equal their enemy, each would only be satisfied with one outcome: Total massacre of their enemy. Nothing less would dissuade the O'reenians from continuing their campaign, or to satisfy Arconan members aligned with the Dark Side.
Battle
With the O'reenian surrounding Sanctuary station and having entered positions to support boarding actions, the assault of the combined fleets caught them off guard. The Arconan fleet had concentrated its formations on offensive efforts at the cost of defensive strategies, gambling in favour of inflicting severe damage in the opening strike. This quickly worked in their favour, destroying several ships vital to the assault even as fighters were launched from their bays. What remained of the 7th fleet was rapidly overwhelmed and the O’reenian flagship, Maximus, soon came under fire from multiple vessels. Alarmed, the enemy Commander quickly called for support from their second fleet, committing their reserves to the battle. No sooner had they exited hyperspace and entered engagement range than the O'reenians were counter-attacked by other allied forces, as Odan-Urr's capital ships entered the battle behind them.
Aftermath
After brief festivities following the conflict's end, matters soon turned toward burying the dead and attempting to rebuild from the damage. Atyiru presided over the funeral rites, while the Arconan flagship remained in low orbit, scanning for possible O'reenian survivors that might have escaped the onslaught. As the Arconans remained on the world, discussions of their actions moved gradually toward suggestions of an alliance. Although there were dissenting voices from both clans, it was seen as a desirable opportunity to mutually strengthen their positions and defend their holdings. Other factors were voiced by some members, in the hopes that any treaty might temper the attitudes of their more zealous members. An accord, named the Dajorra-Yhi Concordat, was eventually signed by the clans' leaders, outlining the terms of a mutual defense pact.
