The Relief of Roo Colony was a military engagement that took place in the Krung System, in late August of 44 ABY, between the forces of Clan Plagueis and its Confederacy of the Outer Reaches allies on one side, and the forces of the Eternal Order supported by the Bilbringi Cartel on the other.
It resulted in a tactical victory for the Plagueian forces, as they were successfully able to thwart the Eternal Orders ground assault and forced their surviving Capital ships to withdraw. The majority of a small ground contingent that the Order was unable to withdraw was captured.
Battle
When an intelligence report from the Goreleech was followed up by a distress call from the Confederation member colony on the planet of Roo in the Krung system, the overstretched Plagueian military cobbled together an ad hoc task force that deployed from their recently rebuilt Hellas Fleet Yards the next day. The force initially consisted of 2 Frigates, 1 Corvette, 2 Gozanti's, 6 Squadrons of fighters and the personal ships of several members.
Facing them was an Eternal Order force led by a Victory II-class Star Destroyer and comprising 2 Frigates and roughly 5 squadrons of fighters, plus numerous assault transports. The Eternal Orders Forces had bombarded the colonies defensive and leadership facilities and were in the process of landing ground troops when the Plagueian relief force arrived.
The battle raged in an opening clash that lasted around 10 minutes and cost each side a few of their smaller capital ships. The tide was turned when Consul Alaris Jinn arrived aboard the new Plagueian Flagship, Executive Decision. The Eternal Order suffered heavy losses but her flagship was able to slip away.
Aftermath
After a brief mop up campaign headed up by Kalen Joss the system was declared secure. A humanitarian assistance mission, spearheaded by Colonel Treel and the Ascendant Outreach Corps over the following few weeks eventually led to Hyperdyne Systems Interstellar being contracted to help rebuild the colonies damaged infrastructure and install a planetary defense grid in orbit.
