The Ascendant Outreach Corps was founded in late 43 ABY as a sub-unit of House Tyranus of Clan Plagueis. Its mandate is to perform anti-piracy, other goodwill and humanitarian missions, and patrol in or near Confederacy of the Outer Reaches territory.
History
The unit was initially formed with a cadre of four volunteers drawn from the ranks of Clan Plagueis to provide the Corps with a leadership nucleus. They deployed on their first patrol in early 44 ABY and conducted 5 separate engagements over 3 weeks. Of note were operations that; destroyed a Pyke Syndicate complex, a false flag, counter piracy operation that resulted in a case of friendly fire, participation in Operation Starshell on behalf of the Envoy Corps and the rescue of more than 30 indentured captive Ugnaughts, 8 of which then volunteered to join the Corps as intel operatives and commandos.
Operational Structure
When not on active patrols or otherwise engaged, the Corps itself is based out of Hellas Fleet Yards in the Aliso System. The Corps itself operates as a space based Task Group that is composed of the Bright Light, its assigned fighter squadron, and is often joined by the personal craft of its leadership team. They are also supported by augmentees and attachments from various components of the Plagueian military as needed, often carrying a Platoon or Company sized unit from one of the Ascendant Legion Regiments while actively deployed.
