K'tana is the Gatewarden of Shadow Gate and a Mystic Shadow currently devoted to House Qel-Droma of Clan Arcona.

Biography

Early Life

K'tana was born into a Twi’lek clan on Ryloth, a planet well known for its cultivation of of slaves. At a very young age she was sold into the services of a pleasure cruiser owned and operated by a Hutt of particular tastes, know by K’tana as ‘The Slug Mistress. By the age of fourteen, K'tana had earned the title 'Slave Queen' because of her reputation as a loyal and fanatical servant to the Hutt.

K'tana chose her path and the emptiness that came with it, murdering other slaves who seemed unworthy or disloyal in order to prove her worth and earn her distinguishing tattoos. The Slug Mistress made sure that the favored Twi'lek would remain beautiful and had the teenager tattooed with flattering marks of possession. Each new spot added to her long lekku was a symbol of her loyalty and the deference paid to her by the Hutt.

At sixteen K'tana found out about a conspiracy involving one of the other slaves and resolved the threat with coercion, manipulation and savage brutality. The young girl used her feminine wiles to lure the male responsible for the attempted rebellion into the Hutt’s chambers. There, K’tana violently murdered him before the eyes of her owner and the patrons of the ship.

Soon thereafter, the Twi’lek was found by her first Master as she was to be executed for becoming a threat to the lives of the Slug Mistress’ patrons. He murdered nearly everyone on the ship and dragged K’tana, kicking and screaming, into Clan Arcona to be trained in the ways of combat and using the Force.

K'tana: "I allow him to do as he must as my Master. Being a slave or an apprentice means little when they're exactly the same."

The first Master, an Obelisk by the name of Jaek Kaeth, did very little to instill the young woman with anything other than the use of her body as a an object and a punching bag. His combat training involved giving her bruises, broken bones and further breaking her mind.

During this time, K’tana went from being a hollow and empty teen to a psychotic and chaotic murderess.Through her lessons, she grew into the fractured and insane sadomasochist who enjoys inflicting pain as much as receiving it that she currently is.

A week before her promotion to Dark Jedi Knight, Jaek’s room mysteriously caught on fire- the blaze engulfed him as he slept, leaving little behind aside from charred remains and ash.

During the rest of the week leading to her promotion, K’tana’s training was taken over by a Krath Priestess by the name of Inarya. The two Twi’lek’s bonded over more than just their race and horrific pasts. They spoke and acted as sisters; confiding in one-another and watching each others back. The two former slave women, having committed murder and arson together were reluctant to part ways once K’tana was no longer required to have a Master, but free to be responsible for herself and in control of her own actions.

Instead of becoming a useful member of Arcona, K’tana panicked over her newfound freedom and fled. It would be nine months before she stepped foot on Selen again.

It was more than a year later when K’tana returned to Arcona, her insanity having - for the most part - mysteriously dimmed severely. No longer prone to fits of rage or flinching when a voice or hand was raised. Instead, she was an exuberant, giggly and lustful creature of little to no impulse control. Where once she would have acted cold and distant, she now almost always wore a wide manic grin.

It was during the Eleventh Great Jedi War where K’tana proved her herself as a valued member of Arcona. She was given second in command of Dark Forge for a short time until, due to no fault of her own, the battleteam was dissolved.

It was during this time K’tana met Timeros Caesus Entar Arconae, the Human male who would, reluctantly, take over her training that had been previously negligent at best. The Arconae began to forge the scattered, chaotic-hurricane of a woman into a disciplined Assassin and effective leader, albeit slowly and with much tension between the two. Somehow the Elder has managed to convince the volatile Twi’lek into another leadership position as Battleteam Leader of Shadow Gate.

The two share an opposing but balanced alliance; each bringing more than their fair share of baggage to the table. While precarious, the dichotomy has become a double edged blade that spins end over end--circulating with devastating harmony. K’tana’s lustful nature and Timeros’ repulsion and refusal to let her win keeps the two at arm's-length while still maintaining a somewhat functional mentor and student relationship. Both Master and Apprentice are aware that their alliance will someday end with the tip of the blade stuck somewhere unpleasant for either, or both, of them.

Beyond her training with Timeros, K’tana has begun to study the finer art of assassination under the leader of Arcona’s Shadicar, and her former Consul, Marick Arconae.

Personality

Highly manic and volatile. Usually breaks into a fit of laughter or "giggling" while fighting, especially if blood is involved. She almost seems to enjoy pain and becomes more vicious the more she suffers. However, a lifetime of slavery has left her with a hatred for slaves. She sees herself, although no longer a slave in her mind, better than they. However, former slaves immediately earn her respect, for whatever that is worth.

K’tana easily gets bored and has been known to stop whatever it is she may be doing, and burst into dancing, giggling or intense sexual inclination with whomever is nearby. Other times, she'll toss her dagger about and intentionally catch the tip so it drives into her palms. She feels the pain of this, but has been practising taking her pain and suppressing it so she can continuously take more and more without becoming incapacitated easily, as she once was.

Over the last several years her ability to hide her lack of real emotion has left her with a strange overcompensation of facial expressions and laughter. She will act out in order to trick people into thinking she's far less empty inside then she feels. Usually, even when in a fit of laughter or an expression of rage, she feels nothing but cold and hollow.

Strangely enough, K'tana seems to have an affinity for small, semi-sentient animals. She regards them as truer, more honest beings in comparison to fully sentient Humanoids.

Appearance

K’tana is a bewitching Twi’lek woman who is of relatively average height, and much better-than-average curves. Her lekku—which are longer than other Twi’leks’—end just before the small of her back. She has radiant, violaceous skin, and graceful features which are complemented by spots of lavender ink trailing from the contours of her face right to the end of her lekku. From beneath her delicate, perfectly-groomed eyebrows, two striking, almond-shaped beryl eyes seem to stare right through whomever catches her gaze. What she may lack somewhat in height, she certainly makes up for in sheer presence.

K’tana spends most of her free time dancing or sparring, her muscles have grown strong and lithe, however she isn't a typical tall, long and slim Twi’lek. Her body curves gracefully which makes her dancing and fighting style an enchanting sight to behold.

Before he died, while having an unexpected and rare moment of appreciation towards his apprentice, K’tana’s late Master gave her a friend. He presented her with two gifts. One was a set of emerald studded, silver lekku bands which K’tana recently sold for a new set of high-heeled, studded stilettos. The other was a small, female Kowakian Monkey-Lizard, named Liera. The young creature is never far from the Tyrian Twi'lek and the two of them seem to be able to communicate quite well. The Mystic is trying to teach the creature to understand the silent lekku language while she learns the gibbers and chuckles of the monkey-lizard. Unknown to most, K’tana is also teaching Liera to handle a blade.

Unbeknownst to all but a few, K’tana is also Force bonded to a rancor hatchling named May’riia. She was found after the Eleventh Great Jedi War and placed under the Twi’lek’s care by former Shadow Lord Marick Arconae (and subsequently made responsible for any damages or expenses the creature might incur). The whereabouts of this creature is unknown, even to those closest to K’tana. Those who know of May’riia have no clue what the deranged Twi’lek has planned for the dangerous creature, but several are sure that she has yet to figure it out herself.

Alias Name: Koekie Donder

Physical Description: K’tana is a creature of ego and arrogance. Although she has the ability to change her face, she changes very little. Her tattoo’s fade away, her eyes become a light shade of violet and her teeth become pointed like that of a feral animal. Aside from those slight differences, she sees no real point in hiding her face from mundane civilians. Besides, everyone knows all Twi'leks look the same to most humanoids anyway.

Occupation & Skills: Leader of a gang called the 27’s, Koekie runs the everyday operations of prostitution and drug peddling. She uses her resources to gather Intel on the underworld dealings on Ol’val and to keep the other gangs under the supervision of Arcona and Shadow Gate. K’tana is a very proficient killer, dancer and entertainer. Koekie is head of a notorious gang that once dealt with the unstable drug, Red Eye. With either persona, people underestimate Twi’leks and K’tana/Koekie uses this to her advantage, allowing her targets to think of her as nothing more than a pretty piece of flesh they can command. Once they are certain of her obedience, or impressed by her skills, they usually find the woman smirking in their face with her blade through their throat.

She was "saved" from execution or possible continued slavery(or so she thought) by Jaek Kaeth who brought her to the Dark Brotherhood as his apprentice. She quickly went up the ranks and earned herself two Dark Crosses and Crescent with an Emerald Star. After, her so-called Master, Jaek died; Inarya took over her training. Through her, K'tana rose rank to Dark Jedi Knight. With the help of those hidden within Qel-Droma she rose to Battle Team Sergeant and, soon after, the Battle Team Leader of Shadow Gate

Random Facts

• K'tana has not seen her former Mistress in years and the Lethan Twi’lek has slowly become a distant - but fond - memory. Although she'll never say it, K'tana misses her and still thinks of the other woman as a sister.

• She now clings to both Liera(Kowakian Monkey-Lizard) and May’riia (her year old hatchling Rancor) as a mother would her children, having formed very maternal bonds to the two very different beings.

• K'tana's favorite color is a mixture of fuchsia and black. She believes they suit her shade of skin, however will often wear blue and gold to clubs.

• K'tana is deathly afraid of two things. Her former Master and the living dead. Usually, when in nightmares, the two work hand-in-hand. This is the only time that she doesn't get a surge of excited adrenaline with her fear. Occasionally, the nightmares are so bad that she startles herself awake with tears streaming down her cheeks.
