Born on the planet Nagi, Drodik Va'lence al'Tor is far and beyond a conventional member of the Brotherhood. Before joining the Brotherhood, Drodik’s personality and belief structure proved him to be invaluable as he came under the service of the royal family: Va’lence on the planet Nythaspir until he came into contact with the Brotherhood. Originally hailing from House Ziost of Clan Exar Kun, Drodik quickly rose to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight garnering the title “First Knight of Plagueis” as he was the first to be knighted so. Drodik Va'lence al'Tor currently resides with House Odan-Urr.

History

Origin

It was on the planet Nagi that Drodik was born. His mother came from an extremely wealthey affluent family. His father, a soldier was immediately dispatched to move his family from their home. The recent invasion from the Tof obviously forced the entire Nagai race to immediately evacuate and flee their homeworld. Drodik’s mother and father had no time to pack their things. Upon evacuating the planet, Drodik’s father was to rendezvous with his company an was immediately sent off to fight the Tof at the Nagi city Karthir. During the firefights the Nagai soldiers in Karthir lost the battle, and all Nagai had boarded emergency vessels and were carted away from the planet. Aboard a military transport vessel was Drodik and his mother. The mother was a young smooth-skinned pale Nagai woman. Bundled in her arms was a runt of a child.

Unknown unto the worlds they sought

After much mourning and grieving the Nagai race had conquered their first world and established their homes in the already existing cities. Thus beginning the Nagai Invasion. The war between the Tof and Nagai raged on but had quickly been resolved as soon as it started.

An invading Tof overlooks the ongoing battle.

Within the same year the war and invasion had dicipated. After the treaty had been signed between the Alliance, they liberated the planet Zeltros from the Tofs. Soon after they seized the Tof crown prince’s planet Saijo. After Saijo had been settled on, there was small blotches of resistance from the surviving Tof’s on the planet. Insurgency violence rose and during a massive attack known as the “Rubicon Wipe-Out”. Sadly, yet expectedly, Drodik’s mother was among those killed in the massacre.

Survival and Teachings

Left in the care of a good but sometimes abusive trader, he soon left his ‘father’ at the age of eight. Venturing to the city’s spaceport he stowed away on a bulk cargo cruiser. The ship had reached the homeworld of the infamous Zabraks themselves. Taking refuge in the the streets and alleys, Drodik’s first instinct was to find somewhere to live. Though he had begged and asked if there were places to stay, there was no place for displaced youths on the planet.

Living alone, Drodik found it incredibly hard to survive with the help of others. The way he saw it, he could only trust himself. If he became dependent on other people, he would be just that. He lived off three things that first six months on Iridonia. He only ate what he could steal. He only slept in the same place two nights in a row. And he never spoke to anyone. Some would find it hard to survive by ones self, but it was done.

A year later Drodik stumbled into a shop on a bustling Iridonian street. Inside the store was racks and piles of oddities. jewelry, carvings, art, and all sorts of spiritual trinkets flickering in this shop. Seeing that most of this stock would be valuable, he soon stuffed his pack with the piles of objects. A loud tap was heard from behind the store counter and a tall blonde haired man sat upon the couner. The man announced himself as “Jhoren Kysk” he was the owner of the shop and asked Drodik about himself. He convinced him to stay, and some time later he lived there. Never before had Drodik had the warmth of a family.

He lived there, tending to the shop for the first month he was staying there. An incredible worker, and then finally giving his trust back into people. With his newfound trust he became more social and as 'normal' as normal can get on Iridonia.

And the teachings begin...

It was during this time that Drodik had first begun to study the force. The shop owner Jhoren told Drodik of a box under the foundations of the shop he had hid. A week later Drodik crawled under the foundations and retrieved the box. Upon opening the box, were stacks of datapads. Jhoren then explained to Drodik of whom he did business with to attain these datapads. Jhoren confessed to Drodik he had done business with a few Jedi years and years ago. Upon reading the contents within an amazing discovery was made. Not even Jhoren had know this, but inside the tablets were unauthorized and documented recordings of Jedi teachings. Apparently one Jedi that Jhoren had done business with had documented his own teachings with his apprentice.

After being given the tablets by Jhoren, Drodik began to study them. Somehow, he knew what they were teaching. The study sessions came easy to him. During one session of training, Drodik learned about Midichlorians. Basing himself off of these, he assumed he had a high, if not above average count because of how fluent these studies were to him. The datapads were riddled with the personal views of a Jedi by the name of Phl'Kur. Even though the deceased Jedi was long dead and also not talking to Drodik. The teachings WERE mostly based on a conversation. It was almost as if he was talking to Drodik, even though he was talking of his own apprentice. Phl'Kur quickly became Drodiks primary mentor. Eventually During one session, Phl'Kur seemed sad and dark and he said a name. Whether it be a person or planet, Drodik did not forget that name and keeps it private.

Over the gradual pull of time Drodik became very adept at the teachings. Bypassing the years of 'understanding & commitment' it would have taken to come to where he was. He became consumed in learning the art of the Jedi. Upon one fateful night, the son of Jhoren raised an argument. The twenty-five year old son became enraged in the fact that Drodik had not been pulling his weight with the family business. Jhoren stood his ground about Drodik staying there, but the son only made the situation worse by threatening to pull himself out of the business. Jhoren did not care if his son would do so. But Drodik seized the opportunity to further his teachings and decided to leave. After a long winded celebration, Drodik was on his way and left the Kysk household.

An Advocate

Now that he was on his way and on his own Drodik ventured through different worlds. He traveled all over the galaxy in pursuit of understanding people. Drodik became a clear believer in equality. He began to never see race, or species in negative lights. Everyone was the same to him. This trait of Drodik would save his life on the planet Nythaspir. There through his

The Planet Nythaspir

actions with the Royal family he was granted the family name: Va'lence. And over the next three years he became the Advocate of Va'lence. And in 21 ABY he was presented with The Epsilon a YT-1760, by the king as a gift for all he had done for the family. Soon after he left Nythaspir on a series of diplomatic missions to neighboring star systems.

Darker light

And then it happened. On a return trip to Nythaspir there was an attack. A senior official of anearby planet assassinated the King Ly'syth Va'lence. Fueled with rage darker than the kind he felt upon the son of Jhoren, he went into a tantrum. He used his force powers he had been developing since he was nine years of age, to sneak into the murderous families home and plunged a Vibro-dagger into the stomach of the patriarch. No-one had seen Drodik's face, but many had seen the person run off. Faced with guilt, Drodik knew what he had committed. This must be the darkness that Phl'Kur had warned against. Never, would Drodik use the dark side as voluntarily as that.

He felt it. Every day since his murderous night, he tamed himself. Always in a clear state of mind he had never let that dark feeling grasp him again. Surely he would feel the anger, hate and other feelings typical to anybody else, he never acted on them. He never willed himself to further those thoughts. Drodik learned to tame himself and was mastering the action.

A Brotherhood Calls

A year after the murder on Nythaspir, Drodik felt something he had never felt before. It was as if something were trying to talk to him. He felt throbbing headaches for an entire week, and at some points thought he was suffering from a local virus. He was completely wrong. Venturing the gardens of the palace estate on night of sleepless lying about, a dark chill befell him from behind. A figure standing at around six feet tall stood motionless. Slowly and steadily it drew out a sword and brandished it. The blade glowed different colors from the moonlight of Nysapirs four moons. And through the night the two fought and in the figures last words, had told Drodik: Antei.

A single word sparks a fire

After months of searching he had found it. At first Drodik had been looking for a person. He had gone too the grimiest places in search of people who knew who Antei was. Finally on a lucky streak, a mysterious beggar told him what Antei was. And immediately, he left for the planet. With a bitter conflict he was allowed entry into Antei airspace and was able to land on the planet. There he made another discovery. Force users, never had Drodik seen force users. This entire time he believed himself the only one due to the fact of his possession of the archaic datapads. There he was immediately escorted to the dark halls of Antei. After much deliberation he was allowed access into the campus's on the planet. After passing a an entrance trial he was then deployed to the Acarr System.

Thereafter

Over the gradual pull of time, Drodik emersed himself in the steady stream of force users. Though he was in a clan of dark jedi, and a brotherhood of even more, he was still untouched by them. From the datapads, Drodik knew he was their prime enemy. And he knew the dangers of lurking in their presence and even in the midsts of them. But he soon found, that the bond they shared wasn't always on the path of either lightsiders or dark siders. It was the bond that they were all together in unity in a brotherhood. Seemingly, all his clanmates of the past and present, tolerate his ethereal mindedness for the light side. As the Vong Invasion insued, Drodik was torn between two situations. Nythaspir, while not being overtly damaged by the Vong Invasion, was dealt its blows. At the same time, Drodik was fighting on two different battlefields. Nythaspir, and the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. After the events of the Vong departed, a new uphill battle ensued: Resurrection.

Securing a Spot

After the Vong Invasion, and devastating loss on Nythaspir, Drodik was faced with yet another hardship. His post as Aedile under House Oriens Obscurum had come into question as well as that of the entire Clan Summit. For two and a half weeks time, Drodik as well as the entire population of the Brotherhood, were forced to leave their posts. In an order under the guise of Ressurrection took place. All members of the Brotherhood were meant to fight for the open positions now readily available in Clan Arcona. Through the order and the difficulty, Drodik came out victorious and secured his place in Arcona. But it would not be in Oriens Obscurum as he had come to know, rather an older house from Arconas past House Qel-Droma.

Recovery

Times were tough for the Templar soon after. The Vong continued to slaughter the galaxy and any planet that came in it's sight was completely changed forever. Charged with aiding the recovery efforts and ensuring peace between it's citizens, Drodik returned to Nythaspir, leaving Clan Arcona once and for all. It was here he came face to face with Vong warriors for the first time. The war on Nythaspir devastated the planet. Scores of people were killed at once and throughout the ensuing conflict. The three kingdoms of Nythaspir united their armies to to kick back the intruders. The fighting was long and malevolent but they proved their worth against the alien species. The Nagai Jedi assisted in recovery efforts and further fortified relations between the people of the Va'lence Kingdom, and the other kindoms with the Va'lence monarchy.

While still a Clan member of Arcona, Drodik fell out of league with the institution, and began his wanderings. The Jedi traveled first from Nythaspir to Coruscant where on a whim he threw himself from a balcony. Plummeting without a care he landed in a Skycar. Luckily uninjured, the experience hardened the dead feelings he had inside after witnessing the destruction of Nythaspir and other worlds. Again he attempted to end his life but to no avail. He wandered the streets of the city world without the use of the force. Things were no longer colorful, tastes were non-existent, and there was a constant blankness in his heart.

He then left Coruscant after a stint with a deathsticks dealer and entered a period of space drifting. The Epsilon was turned completely off except for the life support systems and the manual lights within. With enough supplies to last over a year, Drodik entered a state of hibernation of sorts. Time and space ceased to be as he and the ship, as one, silently drifted in open space. The quietness and the bitter cold within did not phase the disassociated Jedi from his meditation. There was no desire to continue life for any reason, or any wish to go on. And like the black outside, so too it was inside as lights of all sort shut down and the only sounds, came from the oxygen supplier.

New Beginnings

The blackness remained for a years time when the Nagai suddenly opened his eyes. Weak and barely responsive to his environment, he allowed his body to lean forward and he touched his cheek to the carpeted floor. A few hours passed before he became able to stand and walk, after which he returned to the cockpit and found that it had been a year, a complete year since he set himself adrift in space.

A month had passed since he awoke from his slumber, and Drodik had further nursed himself nutritionally. After much internal debate, he set a course for the one place he could trace his mystical origins, back to Clan Plagueis. After visiting the Brotherhood again, Drodik departed from Arcona territory for the last time and entered into Kapsina air space. With open arms, Drodik was welcomed back to Plageuis. The First Knight had returned. Upon returning, it was soon realized that Drodik's potential as a force user had grown exponentially from the three years since his ascencion to Obelisk Templar. Inquiry was sent forth and Drodik was to be tested.

While relatively new to Clan Plagueis again, Drodik took to wandering the Dark Tower on Kapsina, the Clan Plagueis capital in the Jusidah system. It was in the dark recesses of the clan's library, where Drodik's next tale began.

The Dark Traveler

The Halls of the Dark Tower on Kapsina radiated with a coldness that reflected the morality of the tenants. The Nagai jedi began to spend much of his time within the library, it was a quiet and dark place much like his exile in space. An ancient sructure, the library housed an immense collection of knowledge, as well as a labrynth of complex hallways and dark sections.

While exploring these dark sections of the library, Drodik came upon a mysterious figure. When the figure emerged from the shadows, it proclaimed it's name as Nerius, and atacked the Templar. After subduing Nerius, Drodik learned his attacker had purpose for being in the Dark Tower. Nerius explained that deep within the caverns of the Library, somewhere there was a kind of treasure, a treasure that would prove to be powerful for the one who wielded it.

After agreeing to assist, Drodik and Nerius set out in the lbrary, finding a complex and nearly 100 percent obscured entrance. They climbed through a slit, compact, and deathly tight crack in the bedrock, and squeezed themselves narrowly through the solid rock, and emerged on a ledge, overlooking a city of stone, far off in the gaping chasm. It was there they uncovered an ancient society of beings which dwell within the cavernous bowels under the surface of the planet. This religious society focused around entheogenic enlightenment and showed Drodik and Nerius their ways. After a highly specialized ritual involving a psychedelic experience the two were "washed" up on the surface to never see the society beneath the ground ever again.

After the experience in the bowels of Kapsina the lightsided Drodik once again packed up his life and set out on another one of his meditative excursions into space, cutting himself off from all contact with anything. His craft The Epsilon floated once again aimlessly across the stars and galaxies as Drodik became somewhat of an explorer of sorts. He visited amazing places of beauty in the universe. Having recreated the psychedelic fruit into an artificial form of liquid he continued his wanderings under the influence of an intensely spiritual journey across the galaxy.

A New Calling

Drodik's failed excursions into Brotherhood involvement yielded little results over the years, so the decision to rejoin a house was fraught with inner contention. As The Nagai Jedi meditated on the Brotherhood in his vessel, a sudden wave overcame him while under the influence of the fruit. He felt a great cleansing from a faraway planet and the loss of many force users, except that they weren't dead. Infact he felt that a great many of them had a benevolent feeling as the whole instance felt very cleansing. As Drodik pursued this odd change and edged closer toward Brotherhood space he soon learned about a great many members having converted toward the lightside. The once Dark Brotherhood had a splinter within.

Eventually Drodik found his way onto the soil of New Tython where the next episode of his story takes place...

Effects

Nicknamed Odyssey in honor of the its creators vagabond nature.

Created in 35 ABY, the banner operates as Drodiks Coat of Arms displaying the Star Of Va'lence and the seal of House Odan- Urr.

Crafted by Muz Kiebatsu Sadow, this set of robes consists of: Black pants, Boots, Long sleeved ribbed shirt, and an Armorweave vest that runs to the knee.

  • Epsilon: Originally a gift from the King of Va'lence, the modified YT-1760 which acts as both the home and transportation of Drodik. The interior of the vessel has been heavily gutted and resembles little of the stock version of the crafts originally manufactured.
