Template:Company infobox The Dlarit Army is the main security and law enforcement division of the Dlarit Security Force. The Dlarit Army is overseen by the chief of staff, a general of some kind, who reports to the adjutant general of the DSF.

The Dlarit Army is organised into a number of independent divisions, most are overseen by a major or colonel of some description. The commanding officer on any given planet is under the authority of that planet's governor. Where there is no governor assigned to a particular planet or installation, as is the case on Kangaras for example, the ranking military officer will be appointed the planet's prefect to oversee the corporation's interests.

The army is organised into two main branches: the police force and the naval marines. The police provide day to day law enforcement and security for the main mining colonies throughout the Orian system. There are about six thousand uniformed officers on the streets and in the mines. The marines provide support for the Dlarit Navy including security for the main shipyards above Tarthos.

General Staff

Chief of the General Staff: Major General
Total: 12,222 troops; 4,416 support personnel, 84 pilots

The General Staff consist of the head of the Dlarit Army, his adjutants, advisors and other staff personnel. The chief of the general staff is stationed at Tarthos in the main military headquarters. The HQ is officially protected by a full battalion of troops but more are generally on call due to the main army barracks and air support wings stationed nearby.

Aeotheran Detachment

Commander: Colonel
5,724 troops; 2,146 support personnel

Aeotheran is the main population center and principle world of the Orian system in the public eye. The city of Seng Karash is home to nearly two-hundred thousand citizens, mostly miners and their families, and requires the most concentrated deployment of army personnel. The city is policed by two regiments, each commanded by a lieutenant colonel, totalling nearly four thousand men. The police force is split roughly fifty-fifty between policing the coal mines and controlling the city populace above ground. There are about one thousand uniformed officers on the streets, the rest serving a variety of support roles. In particular, a number of officers are stationed at the borders to the city to provide ongoing protection from the native wildlife.

In addition to the main police detachments a battalion of troops are permanently assigned to defend the Makarith skyhook. Unlike the main police force, many of whom only recieve basic training, the troops assigned to the skyhook are battle ready and well trained to deal with any threat.

Amphor Detachment

Commander: Major
608 troops; 212 support personnel

Along with the main mining operation at Seng Karash on Aeotheran the corporation also maintains a number of small colonies on the smaller moons of Amphor. Unlike Seng Karash most of the smaller colonies are little more than mining stations capable of housing a few hundred men at a time, even the largest stations are only large enough to house a few thousand at most. Most of the miners work shifts, flying back to Seng Karash to sleep before returning to the colonies again the next day to work. The lack of a permanent civilian population has cut down on the policing requirements for the colonies and a single battalion has proven sufficient spread between the stations.

Sepros Detachment

Commander: Colonel
2,558 troops; 972 support personnel

For all official accounts Sepros remains abandoned, its local ecosystem considered too dangerous and hostile to be colonised without first exorbitant investments in deforestation and defense. There is some truth in the public records for it did indeed take several years for the corporation to establish a stronghold on the planet and it was not without great cost but any accuracies end there. Following Clan Naga Sadow's flight from the Phare system the original Sadow Palace was virtually destroyed. When the Clan first moved to the Orian system in 19 ABY the wreckage of the palace warship came to rest in orbit of Inos while the Clan made do with one of the ruined Seprosian temples built millennia before by Urias Orian.

While Seng Karash was being built up on Aeotheran the Clan had the wreckage of the original palace secretly moved to Sepros. Hidden beneath the giant jungle canopy funds from the Dlarit Corporation were slowly diverted to repair the once majestic fortress and the headquarters of its new baradium mine. Due to baradium being subject to numerous controls throughout most of the Republic the corporation has kept this mine off the books from the start, officially it does not exist. A regiment of troops from the Dlarit Army police the baradium mines, forcing captured natives from the local population to work as slaves. The regiment is split into four battalions which rotate in shifts of two on duty, two off, one serving in the mines below ground, the other in the factory complex now built into the ruins of the old palace's infrastructure.

Tarthos Detachment

Commander: Colonel
608 troops; 422 support personnel; 84 pilots

Tarthos is home to the barracks and training grounds of the Dlarit Security Force. Unlike Seng Karash on Aeotheran, the facilities on and in orbit of Tarthos are restricted to security personnel. On paper the security headquarters are policed by little more than a single battalion. However, the official account is misleading for it only takes account of the troops permanently stationed there. In practice much of the Dlarit Navy's marine detachment and any other Orian forces not on duty can be found on Tarthos between shifts.

Positioned in a geostationary orbit above the main DSF headquarters is Obsidian Station. The space station serves as the main repair and refuelling base of the Dlarit Navy. Obsidian Station is supported by a pair of starfighter wings that run daily patrols around the Orian system.

Kangaras Division

Commander: Lieutenant
38 troops

Kangaras does not appear on any official charts. The only inhabitable world of the Kangaras system, the planet Kangaras houses a small platoon of DSF soldiers to ensure the upkeep of the outpost stationed there.

Marines

Commander: Colonel
4,028 troops; 1,212 support personnel

The marines form the core of the Dlarit Security Force's mobile army. Unlike the majority of the police forces who are permanently stationed either on Aeotheran or Sepros, the marines see action wherever the Dlarit Navy goes. For several of the smaller vessels, such as the Vibre-class Assault Cruisers, the marine corps provides the pilots itself- the majority of the marines being fully trained pilots themselves. On the larger ships, the marines serve the various fleet captains, providing ground or boarding support as well as pilots for the starfighter wings. The rest of the time, when not on duty, the marines are stationed on Tarthos.
