A New Dawn: Sanctuary was a House Marka Ragnos event taking place in mid 36 ABY. It takes place roughly six months after A New Dawn: Exsanguination.

Prelude

House Marka Ragnos is lost and without a cause. Broken and weary; lacking vital medicine, supplies and with their Quaestor out of commission it has fallen to the remaining command staff to ensure the Houses survival. To do so they have turned to the Hutts and taken a high paying lucrative job that should ensure the survival of the House for the coming year.

However, all is not as it seems. As a new enemy appears that will test the resolve of even the mightiest.

Course of Events

Armad and Locke Sonjie make their way to the compound of Rixad the Hutt on Nal Hutta in the Outer Rim dressed as bounty hunters. With Kojiro Keibatsu recovering from wounds and unable to lead the House, the Aedile and Battle Team Leader try tomake ends meet by taking on a high credit, 30 million credits to be exact, job offered by Rixad the Hutt. After securing the the job, simply because the previous people who had ended up dead or missing in action, Armad and Locke come to realize that the job takes the House to Felucia in pursuit of a, supposedly, abandoned Acclamator class ship.

As they prepare to land on Felucia, Armad suggests they cautiously land at an appointed landing zone. The jungle is teeming full of wildlife, including the terrifying jungle Rancor. Two teams will head through the jungle and secure the ship, before the engineers are escorting to the area to make any repairs and make the ship flyable once again. Ashia suggests they take the Acclamator for themselves, as it could house the entire Ragnosian forces, including its civilians. This is hastily denied by Armad as he feels it unwise to cross a Hutt.

The two teams made their way through the jungle, stumbling upon a forward scout unit that had been wiped out. The accuracy of their opponents unnerved Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar and Locke both. Before being able to warn the other teams, all hell broke loose and it was too late to stop the trap that had sprung around them.

As luck would have it, the First Order was also after the Acclamator class ship and had beaten the Ragnosians to the planet. Despite this though, they had not yet secured the ship, giving Armad, Locke and the rest of the House enough time to launch an assault through the jungles of Felucia to claim the ship before the First Order did. Eventually they succedded in capturing the ship, having it repaired and getting it into orbit before it faced it's next threat.

Above Felucia in space, the First Order had sent in ships to block off all attempts of the Ragnosians escaping with the Acclamator if they managed to find it before they did. The First Order proved a fearsome foe as they bombarded the small Ragnosian fleet, destroying the Pathfinder. As the ship split up and evaporated, the Captain of the HMR flagship ordered everyone to abandon ship to join up with the fleeing Acclamator before it jumped to hyperspace. As the flagship weatherd hit after hit, it allowed enough of the crew to escape safely with the new Acclamator seized ship before being destroyed by the Ares. Despite gaining a new ship, the Ragnosians had lost two ships over it. If this would be worth it, only time would tell.

After bringing the Acclamator back to the Outer Rim and preparing to hand it over to Rixad the Hutt, Kojiro had recovered enough to make an appeareance before the Hutt. In his anger at losing the rest of the Ragnosian fleet and the loss of the lives of the troops under his command, Kojiro lashed out in anger and ended Rixad the Hutt with a barrage of blaster bolts. One found its intended mark, right through the forehead of the Hutt. Turning to address the scum that accompanied and worked for the Hutt, Kojiro threatened that they all worked for him and if anyone thought otherwise, they would die an agonizing death. As the Ragnosians stood behind the Quaestor and ignited their lightsabers, trained their blasters on those before them, the bounty hunters realized they would be better off living and following their new overlord. The first crime family had fallen to the Ragnosian might, with many more planned by the Quaestor of House Marka Ragnos.
