| == Early Life ==
| |
|
| |
|
| Incendus was born Rexion Krayt to a veteran of the clone wars and a maid. His father was not a clone trooper, but a mercenary hired to join the 501st. He saw the Empire as evil and decided not to fight for them. The mother was easily stressed, and Rex asked a lot of questions, so he was with his father most of the time. Nevertheless, he loved both parents, and they loved him. They had a religion from a galaxy far far away where they were required to gather every Sunday.
| |
|
| |
|
| His life only went down when his father was accused of making spices. His father had a large record of public drunk charges, so they didn't put it past him. His dad was not allowed to see him because his mother and grandmother think that he was cooking spices. Then, his mother started drinking, and that's where Rex started down the path to the Dark Side. It was complete one morning when he got in a fight at school. A bully had been picking on him, and anger had flared inside of him. Mysteriously, sparks had flown out of his hand and electrocuted the bully near to death.

| After this, Rex's family tried to defend him because they believed in his story. Unfortunately, the Jedi and the court both found him dangerous, and Rex was forced to 30 days in the Juvenile Department of Coruscant as well as 30 days at the mental counseling center.
| | In 27 ABY, Saal graduated from the Shadow Academy at the age of 15. He was selected to apprentice under Kamalis Creed, a Zabrak whose lineage traced back to Darth Kraygus, who was a Sith Lord and Wrath of an ancient Emperor. A cunning tactician and ruthless master, Creed would lay the political foundations of and set the stage for Kesyk’s rise to status and power within the Brotherhood. Under his tutelage, Saal Kesyk was trained to be a marauder and a ferocious force on the battlefield. Excelling in the dominant forms of Djem So and Juyo and possessing a natural aptitude for conjuring Sith Lightning, the young Sith quickly became outfitted as a weapon of warfare. |
| | |
| After the 30 days were up, Rex decided to get revenge. He joined a gang, and eventually did enough jobs to get recognized by a crime syndicate. After Rex had became the boss of the small-time gang, he joined the syndicate and combined his gang with them. Rex's parents were actually impressed, because their ancestors had formed an organized crime family a long time ago after migrating from Corellia. Rex had different plans though. The crime family had mistreated him, so he secretly recruited his own small group of men to wipe out the syndicate. His gang was in on it too. Eventually, the time came. Rex and his men had completely wiped out a syndicate by planning a strategy after gathering a lot of information.
| |
| | |
| This action got him attention from a recruiter from the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. One day, he was encountered by an older man who offered him and his family a place to live on the planet Selen if he would come to an academy to learn how to defend himself and his family, and to achieve power. Rex was reluctant at first, but thought about it. He finally agreed. His parents were excited as well.
| |
| | |
| When he came to the academy, he was put into Clan Arcona and House Qel-Droma. When he was promoted to Acolyte, he was assigned to a master named Andrelious J. Inahj.
| |
| | |
| == A New Name ==
| |
| | |
| After long, extensive genealogical research in the libraries, Rex learned that he had a pure-blooded Sith ancestor named Incendus. Unfortunately, Incendus was a disgrace to the Sith Empire after losing every single one of his soldiers to a single jedi during the Sacking of Coruscant. Rexion decided that he would be called Incendus in the Brotherhood until he reached Dark Jedi Knight, so that he would strive for more than one purpose.
| |
| | |
| == The Black Flame ==
| |
| | |
| After Arconan members started founding empires, Incendus started one called the Black Flame. He then started a clan/alliance called the Mugen Clan. His goal is to dominate each and every planet and to become the most powerful being in the galaxy.

| == Shadow Gate Mission: The Ancient Sith Artifact on Korriban ==
| |
| | |
| Incendus' first mission after SG Training was a dispatch to Korriban to retrieve a stolen Sith Artifact. The person who stole it was unknown, but Incendus' master, Andrel, who was not even a member of Shadow Gate anymore, had ironically sensed that the culprit was on their way to Korriban. Incendus had asked Zakath if he could take this mission. This was an emergency, so Incendus was sent immediately after the artifacts were discovered stolen, and was given an extra armory saber for the occasion. On the way there, Incendus put the ship on auto-pilot so he could tamper with his sabers, a hobby he had picked up since learning Banlanth. He replaced the blue crystals with some stronger red crystals, to better prepare himself.
| |
| | |
| "The sad thing is that I only know Banlath," he said to himself, laughing under his breath. "And I'm still quite inexperienced with that style too. The only reason I really picked this mission was to test my skills to see if I have gotten any better." He finished closing the sabers and set them to his side. "I have got to stop talking to myself."
| |
| | |
| Upon descent into the atmosphere, Incendus was already feeling uneasy. I shouldn't have done this mission, he thought to himself as he looked at Korriban under a starry, dark sky. Korriban is creepy enough, but it's even worse at night. The wind howls, and it makes me think of the voices of the dead Sith that once inhabited this godforsaken spit of land. Suddenly, the radio in the ship shut off.
| |
| | |
| Incendus looked out the window, and was awestruck at what he saw. Out in the distance, there was a hooded black figure, slowly dissipating in the wind. After it had completely disappeared, the ship's entire system shut down. Incendus grabbed his supplies and ejected the seat, landing on his feet while the ship crashed to the ground.
| |
| | |
| "Well, I hope that Zakath's backup that he promised arrives here soon," he said. He picked up his comlink and dialed Zakath's scramble set. When Zakath picked up, Incendus told him what all had happened.
| |
| | |
| "Well this isn't good," said Zakath. "Do you have any leads at all?"
| |
| | |
| "Unfortunately, no. I'm working on it, though," replied Incendus.
| |
| | |
| "Good. Keep up.... danger....retrieve....your backup.....soon." Zakath's signal started breaking up.
| |
| | |
| "Zakath, are you there?"
| |
| | |
| "...zzz.......zzz....zzz." Incendus shut the comlink, and a feeling of great worry overcame him. He turned to the left, and continued walking. He kept going for about two hours.
| |
| | |
| Suddenly, the wind blew greatly from behind Incendus. When he turned around, there was a cave, long and dark. The wind continued to howl behind him, and Incendus knew something was about to happen that he wouldn't like. Even so, he walked on towards fate. As he traversed the cave, he saw skeletons, humanoid skeletons, with many bones. These skeletons were large and unusual, but the most unusual aspect of these skeletons were that they were red. Suddenly, there was a hissing sound, and Incendus activated his lightsaber. Almost immediately, he was knocked down to the ground. He stood, and turned around. There, in front of him was the same figure that he saw entering the atmosphere of the planet.
| |
| | |
| "I've been expecting you," said the figure. "You know me, yet you have not met me. I used to rule many planets with my own empire, in a quest for galactic conquest. Then I was struck down, by my apprentice and his son. I had hoped that they would have sent a much stronger person for me to take over, but I guess you will have to do.
| |
| | |
| Incendus was struck with fear. Palpatine? How is this possible? Incendus looked, and courageously said, "You underestimate me. I am still living. You are just a ghost of your formal self, a mere shell." Incendus, pleased with the courage he had displayed, had regained his confidence. "I will not lose. I will recover those artifacts that you have taken."
| |
| | |
| With this, the ghost of Palpatine let out a large, eerie laugh. "Is that so? I admire your courage, but you are overconfident. Even in death, I am a powerful Sith Lord. Do you not fear me?"
| |
| | |
| "....No. I don't. I don't fear the dead. Now give me what I came for."
| |
| | |
| Again, Palpatine let out a string of laughs. He pulled a silver chalice, with jewels lining the top, out of his cloak. "IS this what you're looking for?"
| |
| | |
| SNAP! The chalice was broken.
| |
| | |
| Immediately, anger flared up within Incendus. He activated the other saber and lunged at Palpatine. He dodged it. Surprisingly, Incendus was actually doing a small amount of damage. The force-ghost of Palpatine was hit twice in the face and knocked down to the ground. But then, Palpatine struck back. He attacked Incendus knocking him to the ground.
| |
| | |
| Incendus was going blank. He could hardly see. Palpatine had one. He was coming towards Incendus, sucking out parts of his spirit to make way for Palpatine's spirit. Suddenly, another ghost came out and attacked Palpatine from the side. Then came another. Incendus' vision was blurry, but he could make out two figures that he had read about in the archives of the Brotherhood's temple library-It was Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Incendus struggled to get up, but made it. He saw Palpatine start to dissipate after he had realized that he was lost.
| |
| | |
| "I will be back. The empire will be restored," said Palpatine. "YOU WILL SEE!!!!!"
| |
| | |
| After this, Incendus started to go unconscious again, exhausted. After struggling for a long time, he eventually let himself go to sleep.
| |
| | |
| Incendus woke up in a bed on the BAC Shadow, where he was greeted by Zakath. Zakath started bombing him with questions, and eventually asked what happened to the artifact.
| |
| | |
| ".....It was destroyed by Palpatine," replied Incendus.
| |
| | |
| "...But that's impossible. Palpatine is dead. He's been dead."
| |
| | |
| "I know. It was his ghost."
| |
| | |
| After a long period of silence, Incendus apologized.
| |
| | |
| "There is really no need to be sorry. An acolyte against a Sith Lord-"
| |
| | |
| "But this was a dead Sith Lord."
| |
| | |
| "Even so, he was obviously still very powerful. And we got the chalice back. It can be prepared, and it's poweres restored, so this was a mission accomplished. I'll let you rest up here." Zakath then exited the room. Andrel then entered the room, and Incendus could sense the hostility between his master and Zakath for a moment. Both Dark Jedi make a resentful glare at each other while passing. I can't wait to learn why my master and Zakath hate each other, Incendus thought to himself. Whatever it is, I will probably find it amusing.
| |
|
| |
|
| "Are you okay Incendus?," asked Andrel.

| |
|
| "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for helping me find that chalice."
| | In 30 ABY, the Sith was given his first taste of warfare. Recovering from the Horizons Plague and Zoraan’s attempts at revenge, the Brotherhood now found itself in conflict with the One Sith. After Muz Ashen issued the order for the Brotherhood to conquer their new enemy, Kesyk was dispatched to aid the Arconan war efforts on Barghebba. After some time spent on the battlefield, Saal was tasked with a new mission. The Sith would operate within a covert Arconan strike team comprised of other Dark Jedi, their mission being to perform a raid on a Mecrosa outpost. |
|
| |
|
| "What happened in that cave?" Andrel asked this as though nothing else was important, as though it was a life or death matter. And for some unknown, complicated reason, Incendus thought that it might be a life or death matter. He told Andrel everything, what had happened, what he didn't understand about it, what he enjoyed about it.For a moment, there was silence. The type of silence that annoyed someone who wanted answers, the type of silence that actually pierced your ears more than noise would. Then Andrel spoke once more.
| | The strike team, composed of seven Dark Jedi, took heavy casualties, to the point that by the time the Arconans had infiltrated the stronghold, cleared it of enemies and deactivated the anti-aircraft artillery around the base to make way for Arconan freighters, there were only three remaining: Kesyk, a fellow Sith knight and an acolyte. Upon completion of the mission, Kesyk plunged a Mecrosan dagger from a nearby corpse into the acolyte’s heart. Being the strongest warriors of the group, Kesyk and the knight had plotted to provide minimal aid and coverage to their allies, allowing their comrades die and even killing some in the midst of the chaos so that they could thin out some of the weaker Sith competition within their ranks. Kesyk and his master also believed that a scroll containing the teachings of Darth Kraygus, and hinting at the location of his scattered strongholds, was stored within the confines of the warehouse, which had supposedly been one of the Sith Lord’s safe houses in his time. After locating and recovering it through the Force, Kesyk and the knight made a pact of silence, agreeing to contend that their allies had fallen to the Mecrosa’s defensive tactics and that only they had survived. This raised the eyebrows of some Arconan military officers, as the strike team was considered sufficient in size and was expected to make easy work of this operation, but Kamalis Creed’s influence within this Arconan military ranks allowed him to keep the results of the operation under the radar. Together, he and his apprentice planned to work in the shadows to locate the vast resources that Darth Kraygus was said to have left behind, and use it to build their own Sith Empire under his teachings, unbeknownst to the other members of the Brotherhood. |
|
| |
|
| "...Why would two Jedi war heroes come to your aid?" This seemed to be more strange to Andrel than the fact that Incendus had just battled the ghost of a Sith lord. "You are a dark Jedi. I wonder if they know what that chalice is capable of. Wait, do you even know what it's capable of?"
| | A few weeks after the raid on Barghebba, the Sith Knight who had plotted with Kesyk was found dead under suspicious circumstances involving a spice overdose. |
|
| |
|
| Incendus shook his head.

| "If somebody were to drink from this chalice, their power in the force would multiply. The only problem is that the amount that their power would multiply varies. It's unstable, unsafe. That's why it was locked away. Anyway, you need to rest. Bye."
| | Through years of hard training and participation in various Arconan military operations, Saal rose through the ranks and eventually surpassed the rank of Knight. In the shadows, he and his master worked to build the foundations for an extensive network of spies, allied politicians, and a plethora of unsavory black market connections. This network reached across the galaxy, and would serve as both an important intelligence-gathering effort for the Sith duo and as a channel of power which they would use to excel in their goals. Eventually, this would lead to the creation of the pirate organization known as Black Flag. |

| Incendus sat there, thinking of what he had seen. Why were Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker there?. Incendus pondered upon this series of events until he reached Selen.
| | By the time of 42 ABY, Kesyk had become disillusioned with his place in Clan Arcona. Annoyed at the Clan’s tilt towards a more “gray” approach to the Force, coupled with his disdain of the unit’s decisions to not only welcome Jedi to join Arconan ranks, but to take on leadership roles, Saal disappeared from Selen and surrounding airspace.
