Ellia Sharlintier is a member of the Warhost Fleet, serving onboard the Acclamator-class cruiser Absolution as its Executive Officer.
Early Life
Ellia Sharlintier was born on Kuat in 28 BBY. During this time Kuat was under Galactic Republic control, and this reflected in Ellia's upbringing. The strict code and nature of the Republic's soldiers influenced the young female from as long as she can remember. Her parents were also supportive of the Republic, having grown wealthy due to the preference for humans in higher ranking positions across the planet. Her life was a simple one until 19 BBY when the Galactic Empire rose out of the ashes of the Republic seemingly overnight, and Kuat shifted with the allegiance by continuing to build its ships for the new Empire at the legendary Kuat Drive Yards. Kuat's influence rose even more throughout the galaxy, as the planet reaped the benefits of its new benefactor.
Ellia's father had landed a job as the head of an intelligence agency which kept the populace under control and rooted out small pockets of resistance fighters after the Galactic Empire came to power. Her mother had made an outstanding medical breakthrough as the lead scientist of a nearby research laboratory. Both parents were held in high esteem by the residing Imperials and the Sharlintier name quickly spread around the Kuat System, becoming one to fear and respect. Being the only child in the busy and hectic life of her parents, Ellia was, only nine years old at the time, somewhat spoiled by her parents who felt guilty they couldn't spend as much time with their only daughter as they had liked.
However, Ellia was down to earth and quickly understood the situation, using her parents power and influence at an early age to bully or coerce her friends and enemies alike. She learned at a young age how to manipulate others and her preferred method was blackmailing them. By the time she was a teenager she had few friends, and even fewer enemies. Her cunning and deceptive nature made her an impossible person to read, which eventually led to the ostracization by her parents as they instead focused their life fully on their jobs.
Knowing nothing else but the Empire's way of life, she strove hard to become one of it's elite despite her slightly spoiled nature. Although this was not an easy task, she graduated from secondary school as a top honors student. With this on her record she felt she would be able to catch the attention of the Empire as she left her family behind to become a recruit and join the Imperial Navy in 10 BBY. On the day of her initiation, only her mother was able to attend the sendoff. Never seeing her parents again after she left Devaron, Ellia sometimes still wishes she would have been able to say goodbye to her father.
Serving the Empire
She served the Empire for ten years with distinction, clawing herself through the ranks and cementing a seat of power on a Super Star Destroyer in 0 ABY as its second in command. It was from here that she slowly began to manipulate those around her after the destruction of the first Death Star. Throughout the next four years she fought many battles and gained valuable combat knowledge fighting the numerous mounting attacks of the Rebellion until 4 ABY.
It was during this time that she received the news that both of her parents had been murdered. Not having heard anything from them in years, it came as a sudden surprise and almost derailed her completely. Her savior came in the form of the intelligence agency which had been run by her father up to his death. They had contacted her and offered their services to her specifically, saying they owed her father that much for all that he had done for them and their families.
Jedi Scum
Renamed as the "Sharlintier Investigation Company", or SIC for short, they acted as a broker agency and allowed for safe transaction of information. The price their clients paid was unknowingly having copies of the information made and stored away for their own private use, alongside a hefty sum of credits. For there was nothing worth more than your life, as they often reminded their clients. During a routine check of their information gathered, the company had come across secret files of the incident which had killed both of Ellia's parents. The agency offered to release the information to her, but only in a private and secure location so as not to bring her into danger.
Ellia agreed, and took emergency leave to visit her parents grave and bid them farewell. Once she made her way to her parents old home on Kuat, the SIC approached her and welcomed her with open arms. After the brief introduction she was given the holotapes which had recorded the entire incident. What she saw on those tapes still haunts the mind of Ellia to this day. The sheer brutality and way in which her parents had been murdered was unprecedented.
A figure wearing a long brown cloak had entered the home and proceeded to slaughter her parents with a weapon that was known to be held to only a specific set of people. The lightsaber was white, the wielder claiming that he was here to end the tyranny of the Empire and free the people from his parents evil ways. Sharlintier watched the tape several times, looking for clues the Jedi may have left behind, but found none. As she struggled to keep her emotions in check, she tasked the SIC with finding this Jedi and bringing him to her alive. Not only would she have her vengeance, but she could offer the Empire something at the same time.
No place to go
On her way back to the system that housed the Super Star Destroyer she served on, she received news that the Empire had suffered another major defeat in 4 ABY, this time resulting in the Emperor's death and the Imperial armies scattered across the Galaxy. Knowing that this would happen eventually, Ellia had planned for this and already knew that she had to travel to the Orian System, where the forces loyal to her would regroup in such a case. The transport ship she was on redirected it's course towards the Orian System. Due to the state of the Galaxy, they had to make their way at an extremely slow pace. Stopping along various spaceports, refueling and restocking their supplies, it became clear to Ellia that there would be no true return to power for the Empire. As the revelation dawned on her, she gave up on her mission to reach the Orian System and instead traveled throughout the Galaxy, spearheading the SIC on the hunt for the Jedi who had killed her parents as its new leader. Eventually she returned to Kuat , going back to the source of the crime and needing to look for new clues.
It took them five years to locate the Jedi after a major breakthrough in 12 ABY when they had returned to Kuat. The Jedi seemed to have fled to the one system that Ellia had gave up hope on in 17 ABY. The Orian System was back in her sights, but this time for a different reason. Having had the time to expand the agency, it housed an elite team of infiltrators whose specialty focused solely on assassinating high priority targets. The SIC had now branched itself out from being just an information broker, to becoming a "problem fixer". As they made preparations to approach the Orian System and close in on their target, they received new intel that the system was apparently under control of the Dlarit Corporation, and that the system was uncommonly active and developed for being so far on the outer fringes of the known Galaxy. Realizing that going in full force would probably attract unwanted attention from a force they had very little understanding of, they began to send members in groups of one and two to infiltrate the system and gain more knowledge of who and what they were dealing with. This entire operation cost them another two years of preparation, with Ellia Sharlintier finally setting foot on Sepros in 19 ABY before heading to Aeotheran in the following year.
Alien Incursion
Shortly after her arrival on Aeotheran in 20 ABY, Ellia began to set up their agency, receiving tons of requests to help solve crimes of various multitudes that the Dlarit Corporation had refused to lay its hands on. It did not take long for Dlarit to take interest, infiltrating her agency with their own intelligence members in 20 ABY, and began to plot its downfall from within. For all the cunning and manipulation that Ellia had in her, she was in no way prepared to deal with an organization that had orders coming from a powerful group of Dark Jedi. Once they figured out why Sharlintier had shown up in the Orian System, it was in their best interest to dismantle the SIC before it would stumble upon their secrets and be revealed as to what they truly were.
As the SIC began to lose agents at an alarming rate, Ellia began to fear for her company. However, before Dlarit could deliver the final blow, they were thrust headfirst into a war that threw the entire system in chaos and turmoil in 21 ABY. The Alien Incursion had begun, and it was stopping for no one. As the forces battled each other, it drew out the Jedi who was confronted at this time. As he explained his reasons for murdering her parents, he also explained why he had come here, to hunt down people like him. The difference being that they had fallen to the Dark Side and were threats to the peace and safety of the Galaxy. Ellia didn't trust the man and was able to overpower the Jedi through sheer firepower with her remaining loyal SIC members.
As Dlarit was forced to focus on their survival, they had to leave the SIC as it was, tattered and nearly ruined. Figuring this was the end of the SIC and Ellia, they pursued it no further, believing the Alien's would finish the job for them. This was indeed the case, as Ellia's remaining team was slaughtered alongside the countless other civilian lives. Acknowledging defeat, Sharlintier signed herself up to the Warhost Fleet, knowing that she would be a far better asset there for her own survival as someone fighting off the enemies.
Warhost Fleet
After the success of driving the Alien forces out of the Orian System, Ellia was reviewed by the current Consul of Clan Naga Sadow, Locke Sonjie. Impressed with her record during her time in the Empire's service, and following her journey throughout the years to the point where she had her revenge onthe Jedi which had infiltrated their system unnoticed, Locke appointed her to Executive Officer of the newly acquired Absolution under the command of Madhi Jeisel.
