The Platform
The Omicron Platform is an XQ3 Platform situated on the fringe of the Jusadih System, the system held by Clan Plagueis. It serves as many things, but is primarily a neutral meeting place for Clan Plagueis, the Dark Council and other political entities. Here they can conduct business at a safe distance from the homeworlds of Plagueis.
The station also serves as a traffic control center for the system and command post. Warning can be sent to Kapsina should an unfriendly vessel approach the system. It has limited research facilities on board and they conduct studies of the system's spatial phenomenon and celestial wonders.
Appearances
Despite its status as neutral ground, the Omicron Platform has been in several combat related situations. However, at least one recorded time exists in which it did fulfill its official purpose. No other peaceful records can be found.
First Battle Of Kapsina
The Omicron Platform was used as a defensive faciliy to protect Kapsina during the War of Ascension; it was part of the blockade surrounding the rebelling planet.
Second Battle Of Kapsina
The Omicron Platform was, covertly, used to send an energy burst that was significantly small enough to be counted as a sensor glitch by the Quaestor of Exar Kun. Though the exact purpose of the energy burst is not recorded, it can be assumed it was either a signal or a message.
Negotiations
The one recorded time in which the Omicron Platform was used for its official purpose was during negotiations between Plagueis and Scholae Palatinae in 28 ABY.
Trap
The Omicron platform was used to stage a trap for the Vong, which was connected to the negotiations between Plagueis and Scholae Palatinae. The Vong had an inside line into the Jusadih system through Captain Maddik. Executing him, those at attendance laid a trap for the Vong. When the Vong arrived to take the diplomatic ship carrying the [[Consul|Consuls of Plagueis and Scholae Palatinae, they instead found the fleets of both clans awaiting them. The sent Battlegroup was destroyed which, combined, with the execution of Maddik, severed the Vong's line into the Jusadih system.
