Drathul Amnan of Domain Amnan was an alien invader from the Warrior caste during the Fall of Antei in 27 ABY. Following the battle, he was promoted to commander of his Domain's fleet. After his success in securing the Telos system he was eventually promoted to Supreme Commander. In 28 ABY, he was slain by members of Clan Naga Sadow during the Battle of Telos.
History
During the Fall of Antei in 27 ABY, he commanded a task force that engaged the contingent of the Dlarit Navy present at Antei. He made use of the carrier Righteous Fire. His mission was a failure and the Dlarit ships escaped after he relied on Eshin Shul's failed plan to board and capture the enemy ships, instead of simply destroying them outright. He blamed Drosh Nar for the mission's failure, and had him executed for failing to divine the gods' will correctly and wrongfully granting Eshin's plan the gods' blessing.
Following the battle Drathul was elevated to commander. Despite his promotion, the aliens' leadership were unimpressed and tasked him with hunting down the coward Eshin Shul who had escaped following her failure. Drathul managed to track the renegade intendant down relatively easily and returned her to face judgment. However, having hoping to execute her personally, his superiors saw fit to spare her and Eshin was sent to work as a slave on the Domain Amnan fleet. Despite his disappointment, Drathul was placed in charge of Domain Amnan's fleet and made warleader of the Domain's operations. Following successes in battle, he was escalated to the full rank of Supreme Commander.
Drathul AmnanIn 28 ABY, the newly formed Dlarit Special Operations Group, together with the Dlarit Navy assaulted Drathul's task force while it was on station in the Telos system. While the main fleet was distracting the alien forces, the Republic-class Star Destroyer Final Way pushed through the enemy lines to drop a team of commandos from Clan Naga Sadow onto Drathul's flagship. The team fought their way through the enem. Drathul was waiting for them, with his personal retinue of heavily elite commandos. Drathul and his men proved too much for the Dark Jedi who fled, while Darth Vexatus and Trevarus Caerick held the Elite off. Together, the two Elders finally slew Drathul as the rest of the Dark Jedi, led by brothers Tyren and Ylith Atema, killed the yammosk, crippling the worldship and bringing an end to deeper incursion by Domain Amnan into Orian Space.
Trivia
Drathul Amnan was one of the main Yuuzhan Vong NPCs featured during the 2007 Eighth Great Jedi War run-on by Clan Naga Sadow, his name being derived from that of Kol Amnan, a Yuuzhan Vong commander in the main Incursion story. His character returned in the Battle of Telos run-on for the 2008 Clan Artisans competition, when he was betrayed by Eshin Shul, another returning Incursion character.
With Disney's re-classification of the New Jedi Order series as Legends, the Vong were removed from Brotherhood canon.
