The Third Great Jedi War or the Hunt for the Skin of Fire occured after the discovery of the location of the Skin of Fire, an ancient suit of Dark Armor of tremendous power. Conflict erupts between the clans in a race to recover it to earn the favor of the Dark Lord of the Sith, Archibald Zoraan.
History
Upon Thedek's abdication of the iron throne, the members of the Star Chamber were engrossed in petty infighting; these petty actions resulted in the Dark Council calling upon the Warlord of Clan Tarentum, Archibald Zoraan, to ascend the brotherhood's seat of power, even though his service to his clan as consul was marked by extensive absence and neglect.
Zoraan's reign began with controversy, with his selection of the Krath epis, Torquemada as his apprentice and Deputy Grand Master. The Grand Master released information regarding the location of the Skin of Fire, sparking warfare amongst the clans as each tried to take advantage of situation to demonstrate their loyalty to the iron throne.
Following the recovery of the artefact, the Dark Council supressed the warfare.
