Ugolino is one of two moons of the planet Antenora. Fairly small in size, the moon has a minor gravitational pull on the planet. However, it does provide a significant resource to the barren planet as the contained atmosphere of the rock is capable of nurturing life. Utilizing the knowledge of a Shaper - whom now stands in the Clan’s allegiance - the moon was transformed into an orbiting farmland.
No known sentient beings occupied the moon previously; however, several colonies have been stationed upon its surface to cultivate and harvest the crops necessary for driving one of the planet’s primary resources and exports. Equipped with a range of temporal climates, not every square inch is capable of providing valuable farmland, but it does provide a wide range of terrain for training.
One peculiar aspect of the moon is the rate of speed in which it completes an orbit during the planets rotation. Moving at twice the speed of rotation, the moon is known to induce an eclipse during the ‘day’ period that lasts from thirty to sixty minutes. Thus, the day light comes at dawn, spanning for four hours before an eclipse blocks out the sun and a further eight hours of light follow. Similarly, four hours of darkness reigns before the moon’s mass throws the planet into pitch black conditions; then, it passes on and eight hours of darkness reign.
Acclivis Draco has built a small group of buildings in a temperate zone of the moon’s western hemisphere, known as the Ugolino Moon Campus. This group of buildings, which are now connected – is now known as the “Silak Main Complex.” Far away from the Silak Complex, in the middle of a rain forest, lies the Wildlife Research Center. There are plans to maximize on the benefits of having a moon, including building hangars and small settlements.
