The Contingency Orders for Clan Naga Sadow were a compilation of seven contingency orders which were put in place during 18 ABY in the build-up to Operation: Exodus the following year. The contingency orders were to be carried out under specific sets of circumstances should the withdrawal from the Phare system of Imperial Oversector Aurora in the Minos Cluster or the relocation to the Orian system on the outskirts of the Stygian Caldera in the Esstran sector not proceed as planned. Together with the formation of the Order of the Black Guard to deal with other matters of internal security, the contingency orders comprised the backbone of Clan Naga Sadow's preparations for Operation: Exodus.
Despite the confidence being placed by The Seven in the visions of Proconsul Trevarus Caerick, the contingency orders were put in place by Consul Xanos Zorrixor, without his Proconsul's involvement, in the event of anything short of the Overlord's death, an event even the Consul did not regard as a possibility regardless of whatever fate might befall the rest of the Clan. While the Consul's gravest reservations proved unfounded, the Empire's deceit in sending the Clan to the accursed world of Klind'arith shortly before the withdrawal from Phare necessitated the implementation of Order 2 following the fall of Dargbar’rh Stronghold to Imperial forces in what later was remembered as the Battle of Darkened Hearts, which saw many warriors of House Primus Goluud die battling to ensure the rest of the Clan's safe withdrawal.
- Order 1: In the event of either (i) the Imperial occupation of (a) Sadow Palace, or (b) the Citadel of the City of Juraas-Kur, (ii) the blockade of airspace of the planet Sif in any form such that it should render impossible the recovery of the complete contents of the Sadow Library, or (iii) should any of the aforementioned contents be taken into possession by Imperial forces, complete clearance will be automatically authorised for the Base Delta Zero of all Sif Installations.
- Order 2: In the event of either (i) the Imperial occupation of the Independent City-State of Dargbar’rh Stronghold, or (ii) the blockade of airspace of the planet Frigg in any form such that it should render impossible the recovery of the complete contents of Dargbar’rh Stronghold, or (iii) should any of the aforementioned contents be taken into possession by Imperial forces, complete clearance will be automatically authorised for the Base Delta Zero of all Frigg Installations.
- Order 3: In the event of either (i) the Imperial occupation of Underwater Fortress LK99X, or (ii) the blockade of airspace of the planet Ullyr in any form such that it should render impossible the recovery of the complete contents of Underwater Fortress LK99X, or (iii) should any of the aforementioned contents be taken into possession by Imperial forces, complete clearance will be automatically authorised for the Base Delta Zero of all Ullyr Installations.
- Order 4: In the event of either (i) the Imperial occupation of the Dark Cathedral, or (ii) the blockade of airspace of the planet Loki in any form such that it should render impossible the recovery of the complete contents of the Dark Cathedral, or (iii) should any of the aforementioned contents be taken into possession by Imperial forces, complete clearance will be automatically authorised for the Base Delta Zero of all Loki Installations.
- Order 5: In the event of the Quaestor and the Aedile of any House either (i) being killed in action, (ii) being captured, incapacitated, or otherwise rendered incapable of the continued execution of their duties to the Overlord, or (iii) acting against the interests of the Overlord, operational command shall immediately be transferred to the Black Guardsman assigned to the House until such time as a successor is appointed.
- Order 6: In the event of the Consul and the Proconsul either (i) being killed in action, (ii) being captured, incapacitated, or otherwise rendered incapable of the continued execution of their duties to the Overlord, or (iii) acting against the interests of the Overlord, operational command shall immediately be transferred to the Captain of the Black Guard until such time as a successor is appointed.
- Order 7: In the event of a majority of the Clan, including the Consul and the Proconsul, either (i) being killed in action, (ii) being captured, incapacitated, or otherwise rendered incapable of the continued execution of their duties to the Overlord, or (iii) acting against the interests of the Overlord, overall Clan command shall fall to [REDACTED], and Emergency Protocol Omega shall be initiated in order to safeguard the Overlord and ensure the continuation of the Clan, foremost of which shall mean the immediate activation of contingency countermeasures at [REDACTED].
